Hi everyone,
I just came from my S&S. Does anyone know how thick the lining is supposed to be for a FET? Mine was only 5.84. I never have a lining problem, so I am assuming they will make me wait a few more days?

Dr Boots...Woohoooo! Congrats!!!! I cant believe you held out on us! lol

Kushka...I transferred 3 embryos that sound just like yours ...and I got Zach on IVF #1. Your grades sound very much like the norm from what I've heard on these boards for the past 2.5 years. I had alot of other things going against my odds too...and it worked! Keep the faith! I have seen 2 cell embryos on this board make it...you just never know. As for your other questions. I am on light duty bedrest this week....however, I am almost 42, and high risk for many reasons anyways. My transfer was Monday and my DH took off work. My SIL came over Tues, Wed, and Thurs to help me care for Zach and do all the lifting. Today, my 19 yr old niece is driving up to spend the day watching movies with me and help with Zach. DH will be home over the weekend to do the lifting. I admit that I havent laid flat all week, but close enough. I've even sat/laid outside on my swing...while SIL and Zach played in the yard. Every doc is different. My original RE said 3 days bedrest...this one says 1 day. I decided to do what I felt would give me comfort in knowing that I did everything possible for the BFP, without regrets.

Bei...Check your mail...I'm sending you AF now. Thanks for taking over the list. It really helps me to keep updated with everyone. My first beta will be April 19th, but I will poas sometime between Sunday and Tuesday. My next beta will be April 26th (when pregnant)...and my ultrasound will be May 4th. The 19th is soo far away for a 5 day embryo transfer. I will be 14dp5dt...that it would surely give me a huge beta number! lol Oh well, that is their policy. However, to be honest...if I get a poas and get a positive...I am calling my high risk doc to get in right away (they told me too) and they may end up doing the betas/ultrasounds much sooner. I'll let you know if this all changes.

Helene...Congrats on your 1 strong baby! I bet your kids are just thrilled!

Winnie...I am praying sooo hard for you! Good Luck today! I will be watching for your green light post.
Yes, I have heard of all sort of embryos making it...keep the faith! Try not to worry and put it all in God's hands. For some reason I am thinking that it is not an IVF cycle without transfer...but have the clinic call your insurance to find out...since they know the codes to ask about.

Paty...Yay for starting ganerilix today! Moving right along!

Heeks...Yayy for your 1 strong heartbeat! Soo exciting! I would definitely see a high risk OB this time around...just for peace of mind if nothing else.

Claudia..Hope you are feeling wonderfully pregnant ...and no more incidents now.

Franny...So exciting! You are doing so well! Cant wait to hear the good news. Do you plan to poas?

Franca...Good Luck this morning!!! Let us know how ET went once you are on bedrest and feeling better! It doesnt hurt at all....it is just like a pap smear.

Angela...It's really nice having a RN on the board to answer all our questions. You're the best. I agree with you...if you know in your gut that you need a high risk OB...then do it. I did and am sooo lucky that I did. Zach wouldnt be here...if I hadnt gone with my gut. There were several reasons that I ended up needing a HR OB. Funny thing is...my first appt...the doc asked me "Why I was there and what could they do for me." It kinda made me mad...and I really didnt have any answer for him except that I was almost 40 and went through IVF. I ended up getting GD in my 12th week and went straight to major amounts of insulin...then had a fetal echo in my 20th week...bedrest in the hospital for possible toxemia in my 27th week...modified bedrest the entire pregnancy due to bleeding and high blood pressure...pregnancy induced heart murmur...and low/no amniotic fluid and no movement...heartrate drop...and ultimately a preemie. Just to name a few things that ended up happening. So yeah, I am to call my OB as soon as I get pregnant this time around. Go with you gut, girls. When are you poas? Sunday? lol That may be way too early for you, though.

Latrell...maybe we should poas together on Sunday. I know it may be too early for me...was gonna do it Tuesday (that would be the exact number of days (13) after transfer when I got a BFP with Zach) and it would also be my deceased Grandfathers bday (he helped raise me/adopted me after my mom passed away)...but I want to see how early I get the BFP. It may give me some insight to how many took. With Zach at 13dp...it was very faint. Does that make sense? lol What do you think? If I know it might be too early...then it shouldnt bring my PMA down...right? I'd rather try on Sunday when DH and Zach are up and we can do it together....rather than in the afternoon on Tuesday...when DH is home from work. Ok, so I just cant wait either. Patience has never been my thing. Who else is in for Sunday? Or do you think I should wait till Tuesday for my Grandpa's bday and hopefully it will bring us good luck?!

Emma...I am praying that you start feeling better. Have you told the docs about the pain? Maybe a chiropractor can help with the sciatica pain...ask your doc first though.

Lauren...I believe they want it to be above a 7...so you are almost there. A few more days, I am sure.

Hmm...I woke up with a big ol zit on my chin. lol Estrogen or Progesterone cause that? or is it pregnancy? or AF coming on? AF is due technically today. It has been 25 days since my last AF...I am sorta on a natural cycle FET...and my AF only goes 24/25 days between them since having Zach (used to be 28 days). Anyone else break out from estrogen/progesterone? I didnt see it on the list of side effects when I quickly skimmed the list.

Also, we had a heck of a time last night with the progesterone shot. First, DH hit a vein and got blood when he pulled back....so he pulled it out and threw it away. Try #2...he hit a nerve...and I've had pain down my leg to my toes since last night. Anyone else have this happen? Any suggestions? DH rubbed it out quite a long time last night...so it is a bit better, but a friend of mine IRL ...told me that she had pain when walking for 6 months!! Yikes.

winnie - I sure hope the insurance pays a new cycle praying for it.

heekinje - Oh wow you saw the hb and the little bean oh wow how exiting. Did you get a picture :) Well you are not the only one seeing a HR OB so join the club. I say definitly YES to it for you.

Franca - ET doesn't hurt a bit it's like an ultrasound :) can't wait to see what you transfer... hope you got pictures :) congrats for being PUPO... that is fantastic news girl.

emmax - I sure hope AF is not coming yet girl...hang in there lady.

Tammy - thanks dear yes the kids are trilled :)

I sure hope AF is not showing up on you girl... let these embies grow and be strong... hugs.. Sorry you had pain from your shot... but didn't you say you were on a natural cycle? I am on a natural cycle and am NOT taking ANYTHING??

AFM - the lady is still trying to buy my house, she tried to knock off $7,000 Hell NO... so tried and tried and I said NO WAY! So now she wants me to wait until Sat and then Sunday to ask her mother for the money... I mean if I had to ask my mom for money it would not take a week to meet with her??? Oh well. Very frustrating.

Hello girls I am trying to get this test:

http://www.intelligender.com/intelligen ... -test.html

IntelliGender Boy/Girl Test
It's a test you can do at 10 weeks to know what gender I will have

But they want to charge me $20 dollars for shipping like give me a break.

So I was wondering if any of you out there live near any of their sales office:

Plano, TX
Atlanta, GA
Boca Raton, FL

I could save a bit on shipping...

The test is $35 dollars and so I find $20 dollars a bit much for shipping a $35 dollars item?

My husband always says I am cheep I know... But I just though I would ask.

Thanks.

RE just called, embie arrested at 6cell, so no transfer :(
He said in his experience, once the ER is done, insurance considers it a 'cycle' but he will have his people call my company to find out for sure. If that's their policy, then it's the end of the IVF road for us.

Oh no Winnie! I am sooo sorry! Quick call your doctor and see if it would be cheaper for you to pay this cycle out of pocket and not turn it into insurance at all. Especially if you only have to pay for the retrieval out of pocket and not the ultrasounds or anything else (maybe insurance will pay for everything up to retrieval and not count it as a cycle then). Make sense? The transfer is usually the expensive part if I remember right. Then that would free you up for 1 more try.

Latrell...I will be 6dp5dt. Soo 11 days out on Sunday. Some girls get BFP this early...most dont. If I have twins...I may possibly get a faint line...and I would kinda have a clue as to how many took, based on my last cycle. I got a faint line at 10dp3dt (or 13 days out) with Zach. So yes ...it is early...but maybe not.

You crack me up ...poas just to see it work. lol I thought about doing that last time...but didnt. lol

Secaly...I am still taking estrogen pills and progestrone shots. I also took medrol. Other than that...nothing. We started my cycle on my first day of my last period...so for that reason it feels like I am on a natural cycle...since we are using my natural cycle and we didnt manipulate it like normal with lupron or anything.
I havent heard about that test and I dont live near any of those places, but will check out the site. Thanks for the link.
Naw, progesterone will or should keep my AF from arriving ...Thank God. I do believe that I have a very short luteal phase and it is what gets me pregnant and keeps me pregnant.

Franca...Woohoo PUPO! Get some rest girl!

winnie - so sorry you didn't get a transfer. I was the same way in July, I thought it would be worse to get a bFN then no transfer but was wrong. My insurance did count it as a cycle, even though no transfer. They say as soon as you go to ER it is counted. Maybe your RE can give you a discounted cycle to try again. my thoughts and prayers are with you.

good morning ladies!!

heeks thanks for checking in on me!! soooo sweet! woooohoooo for a beautiful strong heartbeat!! did you cry? i woulda been bawling i think haha i'm a big wuss!! dont be a stranger! i need your support ok?? xoxo :D

franca you're PUPO!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO!! welcome to the club!! yay! how many did you transfer? when is your beta?? we are in this together mama!! yay! ok..now get back to bed and put those feet up!! xoxo

lauren hi sweetie! i've never had a FET, but i believe they want your lining to be atleast a 7 to do the transfer. you're getting there but they will probably keep you on the meds for a little longer and check it again before the transfer! dont worry you'll be fine! just keep picturing a thick sticky lining!! :D

tammy thanks for cheering me on!! haha this bedrest is getting old. so sorry to hear about your PIO incident! ive only had 3 so far and i'm already in pain!! hitting a nerve sounds scary, and now i'm gonna think about it everytime DH gives me my shot...thanks alot haha!! as for POAS i dont know yet. i do have 2 of those evil sticks left over from my last cycle. last time i POAS 10dpo and 12dpo and got BFN's both times. it was so heartbreaking, but then i heard all these stories about woman getting neg. HPT's and positive BETAs, so then even though i kept getting BFN's i still thought i had hope with my beta. when my beta was negative it hurt me all over again. so i dont think it helped me "prepare" for the beta news ya know? DH told me he didnt want me to POAS this time because he saw how upset i was last time. its way too early for me to even start to think about it though...i'm just trying to enjoy being PUPO this time and not over think things....hahaha yeah right...give me a week and i'll be in crazytown!! we have the same BETA date!! we gotta help each other ok?? xoxoxo

kushka please dont give up hope on those lil embies!! they are right where they need to be...in their mama!! keep up your PMA!! there are tons of reports that show your grades will make beautiful babies!! last cycle i also had a perfect embie and got a BFN. this cycle i was also told my one embie was perfect in every way, and i am still worried. i am hopefully, but just because its perfect doesnt mean it will stick. dont worry...we are all scared, but we are all together, and it makes it better!! PMA PMA PMA! oh when is your beta anyway??

helene that website said they were available at CVS. do you have a CVS by you? if not then maybe you can go to the CVS website and order it through them and it may be cheaper! i live in NH so i cant help with the shipping sorry. if you do buy that kit you better tell us!! :D

winnie oh sweetie i am so so so sorry! i was praying so hard for you. i know there are no words i can say to help ease the pain, but please take time to heal, and hold DH close. i hate that we have to count on insurance to make the families we dream of. its not fair. when my insurance runs out we are also done with IVF because we wont have the money to go on, and that is such a scary unfair thought. i would totally call your insurance company though and check on if they count it if you dont make it to ET. I know my insurance only counts "complete" ivf cycles, which means if i dont make it to ET then they cover it, but it doesnt count as my max. i am crossing everything that you will get to try again!! please keep in touch..if you need to talk i am here for you. please feel free to PM me!! xoxoxox ((((((((((((huge hugs)))))))))))))))))))

afm so i was thinking of going out and running errands today, but then i looked out and saw it was raining, and i decided that one more day of resting would be the better choice! i dont want to ever wonder "what if" for this cycle. i am doing everything i can to make this successful. i was thinking of going to acupuncture today, but even driving makes me not want to go. maybe tomorrow..i'll be 3dp2dt and my lil embie will be at blast...acupuncture might help more tomorrow. idk....i just dont wanna go out haha i'm soooo lazy now. even though i'm bored i dont want to do anything! i did get some bending in today when i woke up and went downstairs to get a drink, and found out that piper got into the garbage after DH went to work, and decided to spread it all over the kitchen and livingroom!! thats always fun to wake up to hahaha he's lucky he's cute!!
i hope everyone is having a great day, and a wonderful weekend....does anyone have any fun plans? i'm gonna be chillin at home....maybe i'll go see a movie!!

*****much love always*****
