Hey Ladies,

Angela, Helene and Paty - thanks SO much for your encouragement. You ladies talk alot of sense and have really made me feel better. I almost feel bad for doubting my little embies!!

Tammy - I'm taking the same approach as you - lying about as long as I can so that I have no regrets and 'what ifs' later. Bye the way, I also have the hugest most horribilist spot on my forehead. Don't usually get them, but this one is like a beacon!! DH actually got a fright this morning when he saw it! Please tell me it's the progesterone and not just me!!

Lauren - my RE told me that when it comes to linings, anything above 6 is fine, and his ideal is 9. Seems like this number differs from RE to RE, so I guess we've just gotta trust them...

Franny - thanks so much for your encouragement too. I know I'm just freaking out a bit at the moment. I think you and I are on exactly the same day - Today (Friday) I'm 2dp2dt. I've never had a 2 day transfer before (always 3) so it's weird to write that. My beta is 21 April. When is yours?

Winnie - I'm so so sorry about your cancellation. It totally sucks and there is just no getting around that!! Many of these ladies have given excellent advice about insurance. I live in Switzerland where there is NO insurance cover for infertility so I don't understand the US system, but what I do know is that if you are really determined to carry on with treatment you WILL find a way. There is ALWAYS a way, even if it's not obvious now. Take a break and some time to heal, and see where your heart is at, when and if you're ready. Sending you much love.

Teresa - good good good luck with that second beta. I've got everything crossed for you.

Bei, I totally know how you feel - I think infertility and IVF is the most sadistic emotional roller coaster (not to mention the physical side of it) and sometimes I can't quite believe I'm on it, and how LONG I've been on it. There are days when I feel anything is possible, and others when I feel I can't breathe because I'm so sad from all of it. I always said that I wanted to have at least 2 children - I'm an only child and didn't want that for my own. Nowadays I feel I'll be super-lucky just to have one. I try and stay positive, but more than ever I'm trying so hard to not let me define myself and my life by whether or not I have children. We will see...

Love to you all

Ashley URGH! I'm sorry I forgot that you have frosties and are doing an FET not a fresh cycle. Please forgive my forgetfulness!  Did you and DH ever decide how many you are going to put back in? And you are right this is definately worth waiting for.

babyluv Congrats on the twins! How exciting here are two Mr. Greens for each of your little ones

Franny I do hope you name it something. I think picking out names sends good vibes to the baby that its are loved and wanted. Besides I think its fun to name them crazy names until you can pick out something more suiting.

Bei Don't be sad as your cycle will straighten out and will get you on your way to motherhood. That lady will find out soon enough what a crazy ride this whole thing is. Just keep your chin up sweetie!

emma/nothopeless I have been crampy on and off during my 2ww and even now still. It could be from the ET, the progestrone or other meds you are still taking, or from implantation. Just try not to worry to much unless you see heavy bleeding (which wont happen  ).

Helene I think its totally sweet that your DH wants to take you shopping after you move. My DH HATES when i spend money on clothes no mater how much I need them. Well if I'm prego with twins like we hope I have news for him because I'll be so big nothing I own but my pj shirts will fit!

Franca Don't want to bum you out but I haven't been allowed to have intercourse (or any orgasm for that matter, sorry I know TMI) since before the ER. My clinic says they wont allow it until they release me to my ob because they dont want to liable for lossing the pregnancy if they let me. They say it will be up to my ob at that point if I'm allowed to! So I have like 2 and a half more weeks until MAYBE I can. URGH!!

For everyone in the 2ww with cramping feelings like AF might be here, the progestrone suppositories/shots can keep AF away. i have heard of ladies getting AF in the 2ww but usually it is really close to the beta dates. Since IVF takes over our bodies, the day you had ER should be what your body considers the day of ovulation, so if AF was to come it should be around 2 weeks after your ER date.

Hope that helps and stops some of the worries.

Ya waiting really sucks! I don't like it lol. I have to do my patches every other day now, and take 4 Estradiol pills per day instead of 2. I go back Tuesday for S & S to see where I am at. I don't get how if my period started on March 25, they can wait that long? Today is 16 days from my first Period day, so Tueday will be 20. Isn't that a little close to AF coming??? The transfer will be day 23? Or does this estradiol stop AF from coming? Weird! I wish I had more info! I was prepared to take Monday off. I am now stressed that the transfer will be Thursday. I can't take the whole day Thursday off because we are very busy and short handed that day! I'm starting to have doubts about this transfer working if they are going to put them in 5 days before my period is coming.

Cycle update

Post by Tameka94 »

Hello Ladies,
I had b/w and u/s today. I will be having ER on Tuesday by 10:45 AM. YEAH. I will trigger on Sunday at 10:45 PM. My Follistim has been reduced from 200 per day to 25 along with continued 10 unit of Lupron. I had triple stripe today and had single this past Monday so I am doing well. Today I feel more bloated and sore. RE said I am close to overstimulation so he reduced my trigger from 10,000 to 7500. My right ovary has the larger sized follies but RE is looking to take from left. I have adhesions from a myomectomy which affects ER. RE is concerned about bowel puncture with right so Left is easier to get to. I will have two RE in OR with me since I have been labeled "complicated". I am excited because the last 7 weeks have been up and down for me. My DH smiled when I told him I had my ER date. I am going to rest now. I am still not caught up with March postings.

AF 4/26 :( Getting ready for cycle #2

Winnie – I am so very sorry to hear about your news! My manager just told me about a program (and I am not sure if it is in every city or state) but there is a compassionate program, where you can submit your journey to have kids and the costs that you have incurred and I think they pick so many couples for all the expenses paid for IVF. She didn’t know the specifics but it might be worth researching.

Tammy – I am glad you are doing well. We are so close in our days post transfer!

Franny – I know how boring this bed rest thing can be. I finally went back to work today as I had to take my father to one of my doctors’ for a check-up. So I figured I wouldn’t burn another vacation day. According to the post transfer chart, the embryo should begin to burrow into the side of the lining today. So hopefully, I did the right thing by going back today. I tried to take it easy but at times I found myself carrying things here and there.

Chris – how are you doing today?

Helene – I know its hard waiting to find out the gender isn’t it? CVS is a chain of pharmacies located here in the states. I don’t remember seeing one when I was up in Canada. Ok, just read your next post about the test you purchased, hey don’t worry about the cost if it makes you happy, that is what life is about. We only live once right??? That is so very exciting if it is accurate because the waiting absolutely killed me last time!!!! Please keep me updated!

Teresa – Yes, I will be taking it easy over the weekend! My sister wants to go to the movies but I will see how I feel. It felt good getting out of the house for a change today but I was paranoid the entire time … lol!
I am so glad the spotting stopped … now we want it to NEVER come back! I know your second beta will be fine … so please don’t worry.
I love the band Journey also. I just downloaded several songs on my I-pod from that group!

Franca – ok, I needed that laugh! Thanks …

Bei – I hope the b/w goes well. I know how upsetting it can be when your body isn’t following your mind and heart. But, we are here to support you! So please let us know your progress!

Ashley – I am glad you are starting the patches Tuesday. I never used the patched for my FET just the oral version.

Babyluv – wow, is your family growing … that’s awesome! I am so very happy for you. As you might have heard before, I had a vanishing twin before and it is good that there wasn’t any blood around the placenta! I am pulling for you!!!

Kushka – I feel the same way you do. IVF can be so cruel! You can see your dreams just snatched away so quickly but then again you can have a happy ending. I have told myself the same thing, “I try not to define my life by becoming a mother” but some days it can be just so hard.

Hopeforbabies – how are you feeling?

Emmax – Remember to relax. I think we all are having similar symptoms as you are right now. So hopefully we will all have good news!

Lauren1171 – that is the beauty of them giving is estrogen/progesterone, BCP, etc. they can manipulate our body anyway they want to. One of my past cycles was similar to yours. If you think about it, during the beginning of our cycle, the estrogen begins to rise to get your uterus thick for the pregnancy and the progesterone from the follicles and the supplements will help prevent AF from starting. So it doesn’t matter when your last cycle was, they can change it so it mimics your natural cycle. So no worries! As far as Thursday, everything will work out. I know they are short staffed but maybe they can make an exception or you can just take it easy following the transfer.

Tameka – I am glad you have an ER date now and that they are being cautious w/ your care.

Lauren – day 4 of stims that is great. I agree that this site keeps me going also. I just love these women!

AFM – my first day back was ok today. I hope it wasn’t too stressful for my body! I am still having some periodic nausea; breasts are sore, frequent urination, and the cramping intensified last night. I am on so many medications that it could just be the side effects from the meds. But, I seem to be better today! I am counting the day until I can POAS. This is torture...

Hi Angela, It's Stephanie. I just read your post to Heeks about seeking an RE in Cincinnati. That is where I have been and several of my girlfriends have gone... I live in Lexington and drive an hour and a half 2-3 times a week and don't think twice about it. They Physicians and nurses are phenomenal... And their success rates are unbelievable! I would highly recommend this group to anyone that is seeking an infertility group in the surrounding area...

I received my results of my 3rd Beta today and it was 1880: 18dpt 5dt...She said they were very pleased with the number!

I continue to read each post everyday and pray each one of you! Keep positive :) Remember.... We have done what we CAN do, and God will do what we CAN'T do :D

Talk to you all soon!

Stephanie – that was just so very nice of you to reply to my question. Thank you so much. My RE is actually in Kettering, Ohio (right outside of Dayton, OH) but my high risk OB will be in Cincy. If this transfer doesn’t work, I will be finding a new RE, so if you can PM me the info of your RE, I would appreciate it. Hopefully, I will not need that info and I get my BFP!!!! For some reason, I feel good about this transfer, so hopefully my intuition is right!

BTW - What a great 3rd beta!

Thanks,

Angela

Hi Everyone, thank you so much for your support and your ideas. I spoke to my RE's insurance person, and she said it is inlikely that I will get covered, but the best approach is to wait a month, then they will put in for coverage of a cycle. If/when it is denied, they will appeal, and hope we get lucky. best they could do. Someone had suggested I try to pay for ER out of pocket, I suggested that to her, and she said they charge $9000 for that- -so that's not an option.
So for now, my fiance and I will focus on our wedding which is in a month, and maybe when we come back from our little honeymoon, our insurance coordinator will have good news for us.
Thanks again everyone, and good luck to you :)

Lauren - sorry you have to wait so long I know it felt like an eternity when I did my IVF... like from July to October imagine... what a waste of time for a BNF... Keep up the good work girl you are doing great!!! Good luck tomorrow at your u/s.

tameka - so ER on Tuesday that is great... you are so close lady... Triple stripe is amazing and great. I am happy things are moving along for you way to go girl.

Angelaezra - I will keep you posted... unfortunatly I also read online that they also have the wrong results which I though was most of the time accurate so anyways all that is for fun. And oh ya I forget I said I don't spend... actually I do spend a lot for IVF and FET... ops :)

You know iwth your symptomes sounds like you could POAS soon lady you sure sound pg ;) Good luck when you do keep us posted.

Sas1122 - congrats on your nice 3rd beta way to go girl...

winnie - you are getting Married??? I didn't even know that.. wow baby first and wedding after :) way to go girl... I am sure it will work for you girl. Boy do they ever charge a lot of money for ER at your clinic?? At my clinic a whole cycle is $7,000 dollars...

AFM - Started packing the basement (toys) tonight. About half way done... It's easy and not hard so no heavy lifting... Just a lot of sitting down sorting toys and pieces of puzzles or legos and other stuff... and then putting them back together... I will definitly have to find a better system at the other house so I don't have to do that everyday and the house can stay clean??

Tomorrow morning it's music for the kids, dh will be gone with them and I will try and finish the basement but it's hard when the other kids are with me they want to play with everything as I pack it away :)

Enjoy your weekend girls.
