Hello Ladies – I think I am officially losing my mind. I just can’t get what my nurse’s RE said out of my mind in regards to how long the Ovidrel is supposed to stay in the body. And, from what I have read, if you are using 5,000 or 10,000 Units of HCG IM, it takes about 1,000 per day. But, I used Ovidrel 250mcg. And, according to the Ovidrel official website, the dose of 250mcg should be gone within 7 days not the 10 days that she stated. During my first IVF in 2008, I tested after 5 days and it was gone so I knew when I got my BFP in 2008 it was a true BFP.

So I have been driving my DH absolutely nuts … I have been testing throughout the day. I actually woke up to go to the bathroom this morning at 4am and guess what, I took another test? It was only slightly darker than yesterday and today I am 9 after my trigger shot and 7dpt5t. The mistake that I did in regards to this transfer is that I didn’t take a HPT at least 5 days following the Ovidrel trigger shot to ensure it was out of my body but I did use an ovulation test because if your are pregnant it should show a positive sign also. The ovulation test just isn’t specific to HCG, but anyways all three of the ovulation tests that I took were negative starting 5 days after my trigger injection.

So my question is, to those of you who tested w/ HPT and received a BFP, how long was it following your last 250mcg trigger shot? Remember, I got my first BFP on this cycle (w/ HPT) starting 8 days after my trigger shot and 6dpt5dt. I did talk my RE into moving my beta date up from Friday to tomorrow (Wednesday) but I am dying until then. Why of why did I talk w/ her yesterday??? Lol!!

Please share your thoughts. I still have all the symptoms, such as very fatigued, nausea is getting worse, and sore breasts.

I don't have to be out of the house I sold I am already out of it. That house is empty and out of town. And still no news from the rental?? I think it's going to be a yes so we decided NOT to move on May 1st just a couple of weeks later cause we just don't have the time.

angela - Wow angela I think you are right and you are pregnant!! Congratulations on the darker line girl you are doing great. So exited for you dear. Don't worry dear you are pregnant and I know it. doesn't matter about the shot or anything tomorrow is your beta and you will get a nice number don't you worry about anything and try to relax Hugs.

kushka - You can take Tylenol for headache but not aspirin. Hope it gets better dear.

Supergenius - my next u/s is on April 27th. How are you doing girl with your pg?

AFM - Moving date will be mid May so more time to pack. Office move is finally done and I have the crapiest office of them all and every talk all day I hate it. The big boss said he will try and find me another office that would be good. I might leave if I hate it we'll see. And got my Gender Test yesterday can't wait to do it around May 1st and we also have a family portrait to be done at Church on that day too... so I am busy busy and that's good times flies...

angela i'm pretty sure you are pregnant! mean nurse was just mad because you didnt wait for your beta. dont worry ok? if it was the HCG trigger there would be no way the HPT's would be getting darker!! you entered crazy town after you got your BFP!! when is your actual beta? can you move it up to ease your mind? i cant wait to hear your big #!!

helene i cant believe how busy you are! do you get to go back for another U/S soon? thanks for keeping me calm. seeing discharge never gets easy, and its hard not to get worried about it. no matter how many times i hear its normal and ok...it still worries me ya know? acupuncture is wonderful...i love it!!

afm not much going on...the 2ww countdown is in full swing. i had really strange dreams last night, and i dont remember the last time i had a dream. the discharge is gone for now, but as soon as i talk about it, it comes back! i am a little crampy, but i think its due to PIO and all the food i keep shoving in my mouth. is it monday yet?? haha

Angela - stop worrying, you have a BFP!!! Ovidrel is compared to 6000 units HCG so it should defiantly be out of your system. The HPT test don't measure the quantity of HCG in your system. So the line might not get darker even with a rise of HCG. Good lUck on your beta.

Franny - Hey, my 2ww buddy! Sorry to hear of your horrible POAS experience last time. I've never done it before, but I figured this time why would I wait for the dreaded phone call when I'm at work, where I have to somehow hold it all together, rather than get an answer in the privacy of home, with DH. Ugh, I don't know! And to answer your question, I'm actually South African, but lived for nearly 20 years in London before coming to live in Geneva 2 years ago. My job brought us here. It's an amazing place.

AFM - still no symptoms, nothing, zip, zero, nada... apart, I should say, from constipation, headaches, spots (it moved from my forehead to my chin!) and a great big swollen belly (from all the meds + consitpation) - sorry TMI! So things are not looking so pretty round these parts! It's weird but I just don't FEEL pregnant and I'm getting a horrible feeling that this hasn't worked for me. Trying hard to stay positive but I'm also trying to prepare myself for the worst. I hope I'm not talking myself into a negative result!!! AAaaarrrrgghhhh!

Hello all,

Kinda new to the group... Im starting my Bravelle 3 powders and ,Repronex 1 powder w/ my Lupron on Friday..
Finally starting stims after a fibroid was found in February and removed. Its Cd 2 for me I went to the Re yesterday because it was day 14 of lupron for me and my AF did not start... until I actually got to the RE..lol.. O>M>G.. Just have a question , how long to most people stay on stims, and what is a normal follicle number# and size?

Beta today was negative. Just wanted to let you all know and to say thanks so much for all of your support. I probably won't be back on. RE says that I have a 10-20% chance since I'm such a poor responder to the meds. I don't see any reason for me to put myself through another round and have to pay so much money out of pocket to be told no again. I can't take it again..can barely take it this time. My best wishes to all of you and many congrats to all that have received your BFPs! I love you guys.
