I just wanted to quickly say that I also am showing already and I'm only 8 weeks!!! I'm naturally pretty skinny so I totally have a small bump under my belly button that grows as the day becomes night and the other night even my dad said something to my DH that he noticed my baby bump!!! I'm hiding it the best I can but I totally thought that I would be one of those people that didn't show till 5 months!! Guess I was wrong

Katie,

I cannot believe your RE hasn't released you. Maybe you should ask him if he is planning on delivering? Which would be great!
I am shocked they did a transvaginal u/s??? Maybe you should have asked if she could make that thing vibrate or something? hehe, just a thought!

Hazel,

I do so hope things clear up and you can get on with your vaca. Glad to hear baby is well.

gi,

I'm with you about trying to hide the baby bump. I am running out of bigger clothes and the rubber band on the button is getting old. I look down and can see my "budda belly" sticking out and its like, WOW!

Claudia,

Sorry to hear about another bled, but I'm sure the baby is fine. glad to hear you are getting a baby bump too!. Its amazing, considering no bigger than our baby beans our that our tummy is poking out already!

Megan,

Glad you got to see your baby wiggling! Hopefully you find a OB soon.

Steph,

hope you are feeling well and getting that house whipped into shape!

lou,

you are a work out machine! You make me tired just talking about it. Cannot wait to hear how your scan went!

So today was my first ob appt and he was great! He didn't see the hemorhage and advised that I stop taking the baby asprin, thinking that it may be why I am still spotting a bit. Though the spotting is very light and even nonexistant some days. I got to see both babies moving around like little jumping beans! I now understand why people have been noticing my belly, because I am measuring 18 weeks preggers. One baby measures 11w5d and the other 11w3. DH didn't want to go, he was fearful of seeing something bad, but oh how I know he will be sorry he missed seeing them wiggle for the first time. I didn't get pictures today, but he ordered an u/s and I plan to get some then. My fears are greatly diminished so I won't be such a worry wart anymore. Today, I am walking on air!

As far as the move, the packers were great guys but didn't mark all the boxes and so many boxes went into the storage shed that shouldn't be there. Like laundry soap, some kitchen items, our bathroom items (though DD got her bathroom marked) and some of DD's bedrrom items made it into storage. DH isn't happy about that. It will take a week for him to get through those boxes and get everything in order. They were suppose to unpack us, but only did the kitchen and in a horrible way. I have to redo it of course. At least the furniture was placed in the correct places. I haven't done much, so I have been behaving. Unpacking isn't stressful though and I am not pulling out or moving heavy things. :)

OH, wanted to add, I had the strangest thing happen walking into the OB office. A little bird tried flying into me three times. Didn't hurt me, but must have a nest nearby. Though I didn't see anyone else have the same issue who walked in or out. It was quite funny... I was attacked by a little itty bitty bird. lol

Lou - Can't wait to hear how your appt went!

Gi - Congrats on the baby bump! lol

Karen - Luckily DH and I both want to know the sexes. We thought about it being a surprise but then thought... Nahhhh!! lol I can't say I am having issues with veggies though the drink VFusion, the smell makes me want to barf. My body seems to crave things with protein, maybe I am not getting enough?

Hazel - I hope your holiday doesn't get put off again! Gladly they are adjusting things for you at no charge. There chouldn't be a charge anyway, it isn't your fault. I just hope the airports aren't too wacky for you. There are soldiers returning home from Iraq that have been effected by the volcano ash so we are hearing all about it. As for Zorba, at least he/she is doing well! Surprised can be fun, but knowing can be fun as far as planning ahead for the nursery.

Ktelise - Glad to see you back. Sorry the m/s isn't letting up yet though. Each pregnancy is different, but if you want a girl I hope that's what is in your belly! :)

Katie - You poor thing! That mean tech should be reported for the rough treatment. I know if I was feeling that way because of it, DH would be filing a complaint for sure. He is so protective. lol Glad there is no spotting, that would be the feather on the camel's back if it were me. When I went for my appt today the OB used the abdominal scan, no dildo cam for me! :) Though he did a culture, but didn't find that a pap was needed. YAY! He was very nice and skipped all the uncomfortable stuff. I think I don't have to look any further, I'm sticking with this guy!

Ronda - How are you? You leave personals but not often tell how you are doing each time. :)

Stephanie - I do believe that once you stop the baby asprin you will see the spotting decrease. I am interested...keep us updated on this. It seems like some of us are getting to the point of knowing what the sex of the baby is...the suspense is killer but in the end a healthy baby is what we all want.

I wonder if we each have an intuition on whether we are having a boy or girl? We should create a list of our thoughts and then see if we are correct...I knew I was having a boy with our DS so you never know.

Lou - How did your appt. go?

Baby hugs to all of us!!! :)

Hi ladies! I had a crazy busy weekend and an even busier day at work today. I did get to meet my new OB and I really liked her a lot! She even introduced me to the other doc in the group as well as their nurse midwife. Reportedly the nurse midwife has an uncanny ability to tell the sex of a baby just by looking at the pregnant woman. My doc asked her what she thought... and after looking me over... said "girl". The other doc said girl too... and my doc said boy...lol. We shall see! I did get my scan today. Baby is measuring a bit small again. At my scan on 6w5d, baby measured at 6w1d and today which is 9w5d, baby measured at 9w1d. I was told they are looking for within 5 days so there's no concern at this point. My baby still looks like a blob.... with a HR of 146. I can't make anything out yet. I'll post the scan pic. I also have to go back on 5/5 for another one and again on 5/18 for the NT testing. DH will get to go with me to those appts. I'll catch up with personals another time, it's after 8pm and I just got home from the gym. I'm going to have a small salad and put the chicken in for when DH gets home. We eat late... like 9:30pm, due to his work schedule. I'm used to it. Have a good evening ladies!

How about some belly pics ladies???? Let's see those bumps!

Lou - Awww... look at the little peanut! Came back to check in to see if you posted. Glad all went well! Wonder how right the nurse widwife is!? Only time will tell. :)

Ktelise - I will keep you updated on how that goes quitting the asprin. I remember you saying it helped you if I am not mistaken. Also, where did you get your doppler? Seems yours works well to be able to hear the heartbeat every day! I am thinking I want that brand. lol

Ok, goodnight to all my baby baking buddies, my preggo partners, my baby lovin ovens! lol

Stephanie-So glad your apt went well yesterday!! Too bad DH missed all the excitement with your little beans jumping around but I can also imagine how nervous he must have been!! When is your next SnS? sorry to hear about the confusion with the packing but worse case scenario you can pick up some extra toiletries at the drugstore so you don't give DH an ulcer from loooking through boxes!!

Lou-I'm so happy that everything went well yesterday and you got a nice pic of your baby bean!! Measuring a few days behind is totally normal I have heard espcially since they can be curled up and not straight!! How are you feeling lately? Still going strong at the gym??!?!

Katie-haven't heard from you and just wanted to check in!! When do you go back for b/w to check your progesterone levels?

ktelise-hope you feel better soon!!! My "intuition" is a girl but secretly hoping for boy but would be ecstatic either way!!!

Ronda-how are you feeling hon? hope all is well!!

AFM...I totally jinxed myself yesterday saying that my symptoms went away because the icky/hungover feeling is back today with a vengeance!! I had to get out of the shower early cause I felt like I was going to pass out and my temperature got really hot and then I dry heaved into the toiled. Nothing came up (tmi) but I had to go lay in bed for half an hour!! So I am hoping and praying that everything looks good tomorrow and Thursday!!! I am in denial that after Thursday I am going to have to wait almost a month for my end of trimester apt! I'm going to see if my RE will see me for one last u/s next week since I'm going to have to come in for b/w anyway since I'm still on so many meds and they have to ween me off!!

Also-does anyone have experience with belly bands? I think if tomorrow goes well I might order them so that I can hide my little tummy when I wear dresses and stuff!!!

Hi everyone -

Sorry that I havent been posting as much, my DH has been home alot lately (too much!) and its always harder to get things done when every 5 minutes he wants me to look at something, or find something - jeez how do men manage to live alone I wonder? And its always something that is right in front of his face that he cant seem to find too  Well I'm still waiting for this day killing fatigue to go away - please? I feel like i've got to budget my time to get things done around the few times of day that I actually feel awake - ugh. Oooh, and boy has moodiness set in! Its weird how you can go from I'm fine to LEAVE ME ALONE
in the drop of a hat - yikes. I almost bit my poor DH's head off the other night over something so small that i dont even remember what it was - oh wait yes I do
I had asked him 3 times to take out the kitchen trash and had to go interuppt him from being glued (complete with mouth open) to ultimate fighting????? WTF?
I was like "are you kidding me"? Then when i get tired of asking (usually he's pretty good about chores) I just do it myself, but just the sight of him watching total junk and slack jawed to boot! It just set me off! yay hormones??? This was the first episode of raging pregnant hormones so , I think I really need to put my hand over my mouth because 10 minutes later - boy did I feel like an ass for making a stink over nothing!!! fun, yes?

Ktelise Sorry that you are still having m/s and headaches. I've had a few dizzy spells myself, arent they unnerving? I mean what if they were to happen while driving? Yep, I worry about some silly things, I know. Yes I did the NT scan and the b/w last friday but I wont get to hear the results until my next OB appt on the 30th. How are you doing?

Hazel I'm so sorry that you're holiday seems to have fallen apart! I'll keep my fingers crossed that away you go on Wed! And being a natural disater you cant even blame the airlines for that! Argh! To think of all of that packing, unpacking, then repacking again! As long as it works out it will be worth it be worth it though. I'm patiently waiting to to start feeling more like myself again!

Claudia I cant wait to hear about your appt tomorrow and then your 1st OB is the next day? Sweet! I cant help you as far as the belly bands go, I went straight to maternity pants - they are so comfy! I wish i had thought of that while i was still stimming - it would have made all that swelling so much easier to deal with. How are you feeling? And yes, the wait in between u/s is terrible! Before mine last friday I hadnt had one for 6 weeks! And here we all thought that once you got a BFP- that it was smooth sailing from there, hmmpphh!

Karen Glad to hear that you're feeling alright. Veggies are kind of not on my list right now either, well asparagus, zucchini are ok - but broccoli is a no go
Try that V8 fusion, its not the greatest taste, but its not awful either, and at least it counts a veg :D

Gi Hooray for a bump! Is J still awed by how much you can eat now? How are you feeling? have you decided if you want to go back to work yet?

Ronda I know! My DH said that my RE wont release me until I deliver too! I would think it was him being protective, but my P4 dropped by 60 points! It was 80 while on the PIO shots, then after 2 weeks of just crinone it dropped to 20, which makes me a bit nervous. We'll see what happens next week at what should be (hopefully) my last RE appt - Has your m/s been letting up a little? I hope so! You poor thing, you've had a rough time of it lately!

Steph Im glad to hear that your OB appt went great. UGH the frustrations of not knowing what is where in the sea of boxes! Soon your house will be in order and you can relax a bit. And hopefully there will be no more moving for a while at least. Why didnt you get any u/s pics? Dont they know that we live for this stuff? LOL. Having a DD that you said is 10 going on 20 must keep you on your toes! Is she excited to be a big sister? Whew! You'll have some exra hands around to help out with your 2 bundles of joy!

Lou Whew! I 'm glad you got your u/s. And liking your OB can only be a bonus. I'm not sure yet about mine, I've only met him once and really half of my appt was spent teaching him and answering questions about IVF - so we'll see next time. I give up with all of these trying to guess the gender games - Darn it I NEED to know already! I dont know about you - but I'm dying to know, yep I'm not very patient, I know. I wouldnt stress measuring a few days behind, that can change pretty quickly! And if your OB says its normal to measure a bit ahead or behind - well they are the experts. How are you feeling these days? Girl, you have been so lucky to escape all of the pg symptoms that have been getting to the rest of us - you should buy a lottery ticket while your out one day.

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxo

Katie - My DH gets on my nerves too, more so lately of course. He makes these pg jokes that make me want to smack him a few times. Sometimes when he really gets on my nerves I will tell him to be careful, I don't need his sperm anymore... nothing stopping me from kicking him good in the boys. Empty thread of course, but it's enough to let him know to stop it. lol He tends to get cranky though, more then me at times, then his cranky ass sets me off so then we are both cranky. About no sono pics... I know! I was so relieved to see they were both still there, ok and moving that by the time I thought about it, he was taking it out of the room. Next time will be better pics anyway. Going to get a scan done by the tech at the hospital including NTS. He says I am not a risk factor but put it in anyway because I requested it.

Claudia - I'm not sure yet when my next u/s will be. I will be getting a call letting me know my appt day and time. I am guessing in a week or two though. No more than three weeks since they have to do the NTS by week 14. We did get extra stuff because the boxes were so not in order! It sucks since we are tight budgeted right now, having to buy stuff we already have is not good. UGH And no worries, your appts will go just fine!

So I called the OB office this morning waiting for an answer to my burning question that I forgot to ask yesterday.... Can I have SEX????? DH would also love to know. lol It's been over 2 months now and I am dying to, well... get some action. :) I also asked what my activity level shoule be now that the bleed seems to have healed. Can't wait to get the answers! I have gained two pounds according to the scale at the OB office. Normal and I know I am suppose to gain weight while preggers, but it will be hard to accept. lol Still seriously thinking about registering the baby shower at Gold's Gym!!

Yesterday was an awesome uplifting day then come nightime we lost our little shih tzu dog. The fence here doesn't go down to the ground in all spots so she must have wiggled out. Couldn't sleep a wink without her here, luckily someone found her and brought her home this morning! I was so happy I started bawling, then couldn't stop. Gotta love those hormones. I am just thankful that she was kept safe by good hearted people. So many doggy snatchers in this area!

Hi girls,

Steph so glad the us went well and that you saw your 2 wiggly little babies!!!!! Thankfully your spotting is nearly gone (touch wood) now you can breathe . My hormones arent too bad yet though j is bugging me asking me about 100 times a day how am i,i know he is worried but seriously sometimes he asks me like 2 mins later! Oh thank goodness you found your little doggie i would be heartbroken if i lost mine.

Lou your scan pic is so cute your little baby will change so much by next scan.

Katie you are very near end 1st trimester surely the fatigue is gonna let up soon!!!! My appetite has gone back to normal thankfully but still have an awful thirst (have it since 2ww prob the meds) and i would say thats some of the reason my belly is swollen though i put on 2 pounds this wk  i said to my mam very soon i will see the scales hitting 9 stone i have never been that much before though i am loving it and cant wait for a bigger belly  j wants me to stay off work till begining of june i should be about 16wks then, i will see if doc. will let me that would mean i would only have about 19 wks to work before maternity leave kicks in (please god) p.s j likes ultimate fighting too!!!

Stephanie – The doppler I am borrowing is "Mini Dopplex Huntleigh Diagnostics". I do not know where to get them but my friend did say that it was not cheap but it works great. I have gained 3 ½ pounds and I am only pregnant with one baby…ugh! Glad you found your puppy!

Claudia – Isn’t it funny how we have an “intuition?” even if it is the opposite of what we are hoping for. That is exactly what happened to me when I was pregnant with DS…my instincts told me boy although I was quietly hoping for a girl. Of course, now I would not change it for the world! With this pregnancy being the complete opposite of my 1st I would guess girl but don’t want to get my hopes up if that makes sense at all.

Katie – I am doing well and am anxious for my u/s and screening on Friday. My DS has the flu so I am praying not to get that…can you imagine the flu on top of m/s???

My doctor has started to weane me off of my progesterone and estrogen...did anyone get weaned off at the beginning of their 12th week? I am nervous but have been reassurred that all will be well. Also, I am surprised they will not do another blood test before weaning me off. (My progesterone has stayed at 50).

Hi everyone. Just a quickie from me as I'm waiting for our airline to post their latest update - it wasn't looking good earlier as UK airspace was going to be closed still until at least 1am tomorrow, but then all of a sudden the powers that be re-evaluated the risk and decided that the UK airports could open from 10pm. The next hurdle is that not all the flights can run anyway, because of the huge number of planes and staff in the wrong locations since last Thursday, so we're just waiting to hear whether our flight is going to be one of the lucky ones. The airline has promised an update on its website after 11pm, so while I'm shattered and desperate to go to bed, we're waiting up!

claud - how did your scan go today?

megan - pleased to hear that things are going so well. Lucky you for escaping the worst that morning sickness has to offer!

Ronda - how are you feeling these days?

Steph - so happy that your OB app't went went and yay for seeing two perfect little ones. We want pictures next time!!

ktelise - if you're doing a list, I had a weird feeling at about 5-6 weeks that I was carrying a boy, but since then no particular feeling either way. And as you may have seen from my messages to lou, all the charts and stats could go either way for me!

lou - sounds like everything looked perfect at your scan! I'd pick a couple of days small rather than a couple of days big any day, bearing in mind that he/she has to get out at the end of 9 months! The doctor who did our Nuchal scan said that ordinarily, measuring big or small would normally mean that a hospital would adjust your due date, but because we have fixed dates thanks to the IVF process, it just means that the baby is slightly big or slightly small for its 'age'. Plus, he said that if you're tall then the chances are that the baby will measure long/big as well, which is definitely true in my case. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Katie - how funny that you can't eat vegetables! I'm the other way round, I only really fancy eating fruit, vegetables and salad, and I struggle to eat a piece of meat if it's put in front of me. Mind you, the healthy diet (and playing golf 3-4 times a week at the moment!) isn't helping me keep the weight gain down - I've already gained 6kg and counting. Eeeeek! I think my body is just going to do what it wants to do, regardless of my diet or level of exercise! I'm a bit confused about your OB and you saying you've only met him once - I thought you were going to go to a female OB you really liked, which had the downside of meaning that you'd be delivering in the hospital your SIL works in? Or have I got confused?

gi - 9 stone, ha! I can top that quite easily, I reckon I'm going to be touching 11 stone before too many days... Hope your doctor will sign you off work until 16 weeks, it has obviously suited you so far! Hope your sister manages to get home from Malta soon...

I'll let you all know if our holiday to Dubai tomorrow is going to happen, fingers crossed! If so, I'm not going to be able to post much but I'll do my best to track down a laptop periodically and keep up to date with all your news!

Steph -- My OB mentioned to me "no sex until the end of the 1st trimester". I didn't know that before. OOPS!

Katie -- I am dying to know my baby's gender too! Do you guys have a preference at all? I always thought I'd have two kids, a boy then a girl. DH really wants a son. I'd be happy with either but lately I've been missing my mom a lot and would love the chance to have a mother-daughter relationship back in my life. I really feel that whatever the baby is, is the way it was supposed to be. But I still can't wait to meet him/her! I still feel very very good. No m/s at all. Not even slightly nauseus this whole pregnancy so far... wth? I only have a bit of fatigue as my symptom. I didn't even get bigger boobs... not that I care as they are already fairly ample... hehe.

Claud -- I'm still feeling very good. And yes, I'm still on my workout regimen. Doc says I can't add any more to it though, which is fine. Oh, and I was told "no sex until the 1st trimester is over".... wth? As for the belly bands... I'd never heard that term before but my OB mentioned it to me yesterday and said they're the greatest. Need to look into this I think!

Hazel -- Oh, I so hope you get off to Dubai soon!!! Your size theory makes sense though... I'm only 5'4" tall so small is OK with me!

ktelise -- I'm currently weaning off progesterone and I haven't had a level done in over 3 weeks. Go figure!

Gi -- I can't wait for a belly either. I can notice my pants are getting tight but really I can still wear them. Maybe I need to get them belly bands Claudia was talking about???

AFM -- First OB appt was yesterday. I really really like her a lot! Turns out she has two kids aged 2 and 4 and both were born via IVF. So she's totally one of us and VERY well versed in the process. I'm very lucky, I realize that. She did scare me with the statistics for chromosomal abnormalities. It's going to make me sick with worry until I know everything is OK. Is anyone doing the more invasive amniocentesis or CVS???? I will need to decide after my NT scan on May 18th. She's going to send me to a perinatal specialist in my second trimester because I'm over 35. Ugh... I'm a geriatric OB patient!!!!

Lou - We were originally told to wait to have sex till after the first u/s, but by the time I got my first one I was bleeding. So we then were told not to have sex until the bleeding stops. Well, it's almost gone now and doc said the bleed appears healed so I was hoping maybe... but just got the call a little earlier and he said not until there is no sign of spotting for a few days. So hopefully by the weekend I can be having "fun". ;)

Hazel - Hope your holiday gets on it's way and you don't see any issues from all the postponement.

Ktelise - Yeah I looked it up, looks as though it is $525. That is a pretty penny. Lucky you get to borrow one! lol I think I will be ok though without having my own. Gettin out of the first trimester isn't far off and once I get there I will be less worrisome.

Gi - How cute how J is all about making sure you are ok. I am sure it is one of those things that gets to you. Now that the spotting is almost gone, my dh is not being as attentive. He spoiled me with it (especially since he has never done it before) and now I wish I could get some of that support back. It was nice to have it for a few weeks. Guess it is close to over though. Oh well. :)

I got the call not to long ago, no "fun" just yet and regular pg limited activity. Don't be on your feet too long, no lifting heavy things, the usual. Also have a date for my NTS, 4/30. Just next week. :) Though a dr is doing it so not sure how clear the images will be. Either way, I should have pics next week!! Maybe even take video and post on youtube! :D
