My DH likes to make jokes and he had the nurses laughing so hard with his questions And jokes I can only imagine what it will be for 9 months if this works. Glad to hear you had a better day it was well deserved..

Then there was one. We did have 2to3 embryos today for the transfer we only had one good one. Very disappointing but hoping this is the one who makes it. Now the long 2 week wait

Look at my post under the IVF forum for those women who have only transferred 1 embryo. I think once you read it, it should make you feel a little better. But, we will be here for you through your 2ww.

Angela - you are so kind for asking. Well no it's not better the person is trying so hard to harrass me pm me today?? Wow! Just blows my mind how some are so jalous and envious... she must be in so much pain to pick on someone so bad. I'm telling you she is majorly bad... I would not be surprised if she tried to join here and trash me here?? I am so afraid I have a head ache and think I might change my screen name??

And you know me I never ever say a bad thing to people, why would I ?? I always try my best to find the right word, the best answer or help... I know sometimes I am naive and that's why I always get caught... I make friends and they want something from me and I don't even know it until it's too late. I get hurt so much and really I am never trying to hurt anyone...

So I hope she stops one day... and keep praying for her that's all.

Girls I reallly want the 2ww ladies to listen to this story:

My sister who is now 46 got married like 4 years ago. Anyways she tried to have a baby with her new husband. She already had 2 girls from a previous relationship.

Anyways she tried and tried. She is so regular on the 28 day cycle sharp. So much her dh started calculating her O and her AF... well so every month she would get pg and loose it... pg and loose it, pg and loose it ... all that 6 times.

Well her family doctor finally told her well Danielle you have had enough mc that it's time we try a different type of pregnancy vitamins that has more folic acid in it that is only available on prescription.

Guess what... it worked... she gave birth to her baby boy healthy last on April 1st...

And guess what else. My IVF monitoring clinic prescribed the same thing to me (without my knowledge I didnt even know she was taking it) got me the same prescription and after one mc I was able to have my baby too.

the vitamin is called: Preg Vit, Folic 5 and the DIN # is 02276194 (in Canada) in 2 words. It has 5 times the follic acid the regular pg vit have... I think the regular ones have 1mg and those have 5mg...

I tell you I swear by that too and I made sure to take it this time around also.

So anyone under 8w pg should start those if you can.

So I probably shouldnt have been reading on the internet but my DH asked me something so there I went researching! So 3 day transfers dont look to have great outcomes or high statistics do they? I know a blast is the best and all I know is both mine were 8 cells..some articles said its too soon for the uterus..ahhh why? Why did I torture myself?? BC i cant find anything to watch..

You know mine are 3dt and also not sure I understand the "too soon for the uterus" thing. Cause I mean when a woman gets pg she get pg from her uterus I mean the emby is directly in the uterus no? so it just travels down the tube... so do you mean too soon in the uterus part and should be more in the tubal?? Then maybe it would make sense...

For sure by waiting blast you eliminate those who don't work but I think some of them would work better in the uterus better then in the glass??

Really didnt quite get it bc yea it travels to the uterus and stays there. Im not gonna stress it bc my hope is that they continue growing and surprising me like they have so far.

Lauren - When they say too early for the uterus, they mean in a natural cycle, a 3 day embryo would still be in the fallopian tube but that doesn’t matter. There are a lot of BFPs w/ 3 day transfers. One reason they like blasts are because they can choose which embryos will continue to develop but some embryos do not do well in the petri dish and need to be back in the womb. But, remember some embryos will not last to the blastocyst stage and need to be transferred on day 3 or even day 2 transfers. If you look at the early IVF years, 3 day transfers were all that they transferred, so don’t worry … there are so many women who get there BFP’s on this forum also. And, you will be one also!

and yes I transfered 3d embies that were frozen so they already had damaged by freezing and thawing but we transfered 4 good ones an one bad one so really 4 ok grade. Only one took but your sounds much better then mine so I am not one bit worried about you getting pg you will do it girl.

I see this question a lot on this website - nearly a few times a week! I initially assumed a 5 day transfer was "the best" too - but that's not the case. Transfer timelines are personal, just like your IVF protocol. Not everyone's embryos can survive to 5 days. There are a few women on this board who's RE's pushed their embryos to 5 days and they kept getting BFNs. I know one in particular that insisted on her 3rd cycle or so that they do a 3 day and she got a BFP. Many believe that embryos are better off inside the womb - and will do best there. How can that not be the case?? I've had 2 successful IVF procedures and both were 3 day transfers with 8 cell embryos. My clinic will only do 5 day if there are SEVERAL high quality 8 cell embryos on day 3. The advantage to a 5 day is that if there are MANY to choose from, taking them to 5 days will help choose the best of the best and increase your chance of pregnancy. If you only had a few, they already chose the best of the best Try not to worry about it - just focus on your little embies and picture them snuggling in tight! Good luck to you!

HI, Ladies -

Boy has it been an emotional week on this board! We've had a couple of BFNs, a little boy in surgery, stressful fert. reports, disappointing transfers and worst of all, the loss of a best friend. I can't help but think how strong we all really are. Can you imagine if a man had to go through all of this on top of everyday life?????????? No way!! I've said it before and I really believe this - we are not given anything we can't handle. Everyone keep their heads up and don't give up!!

Well I had my final visit with my RE today. It's always so weird to move on to the OB. I've never been released at 9 weeks so looking at a 9 week scan was such a treat. The little bean wasn't so much a bean anymore - it was more like a gummy bear moving its little arms around! It was so cool! I get to stop taking the endometrin when I run out on Saturday night - finally!!!! I have my first set of OB appts. next week along with a level 2 SNS. My subchorionic bleed has resolved and is no longer visible on an SNS so things seem to be moving right along. Everyone have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you all next week

AFM- i must say as you all know this was my first IVF ive never done anything like this so it was very interesting to us. So I do feel alittle crampy thats it!
