I had a 3dt of 2 good quality embryos. On Tuesday (14DPO), my beta was 182 and 48 hours later at 16DPO it was 276, which is about a 66% increase. My progesterone was sky high - over 100, most likely from the PIO shots.
I'm concerned on the less than optimal increase, combined with some slight brown spotting I have had for the last 2 days, and AF like cramping. Am I blowing this out of porportion, or how worried should I be about the slower-rising beta? I asked my RE if I could come back for a 3rd beta which will be tomorrow to help ease my mind.

Thanks for any help - I am extremely nervous!
This very thing just happened to me last week. If you look at the new guidelines and recommendations, they only recommend that your beta increases by at least 60% in 48 hours and double from 48 to 72 hours. My progesterone was even higher than yours at 286! It took 4 betas before my HCG levels finally doubled.
My RE thinks when progesterone is too high; it masks the beta levels and prevents it from showing its true level. And believe it or not, when my progesterone level started decreasing my HCG levels starting rising like they are supposed to. So don’t panic, just keep getting your beta taken and you will see them to continue to increase.

The cramping is probably related to progesterone side effects.
Angela is correct about the rate of growth of hCG.
