Please let me know your thoughts are on the following:

1. not going up stairs for 2 days following embryo transfer
2. bedrest - necessary, unnecessary, or harmful?
3. baby aspirin - does your clinic suggest this
4. Vitamin D and its relationship to infertility
5. day 3 or day 5 transfer - blast transfer better?

1.) I don't think going upstairs will harm your embryos following your transfer as long as you are not jarring yourself by running up and down the stairs.
2.) There is still a debate whether bed rest helps or if it is unnecessary but I took off some days from work to be on the cautious side. Also, I knew if I kept going to work, I would not be stress free.
3.) I am on baby ASA but I also have been diagnosed w/ a clotting disorder
4.) Don't really have a comment either way. I don't think it could hurt.
5.) 5 day blast if possible (but some embryos do not make to the blast stage)

my clinic says 24 hr bedrest - i always did 48 and got successful bfps with 2 of my 3 cycles
my clinic does aspirin till heartbeat 5-6 weeks
day 5 is better but day 3s certainly work

1. Normal activity is ok.
2. Bedrest is of no benefit.
3. We never do the aspirin thing, that I know of.
4. I have not studied any relationship between vitamin D and fertility.
5. Day 5 wins easily

My protocol also called for low dose aspirin until the early stages of pregnancy. Day 5 does have a higher success rate.

1. I definitely went upstairs, multiple times per day, starting with ET. Even picked up my kids from school
2. I did light activity, but not bedrest per say. Stayed off my feet a lot, but still went to lunch, movies, had people over, etc. In fact, I probably did LESS "bedrest" with my BFP than with my BFNs!
3. Doing baby ASA until week 14. Normal protocol for my clinic.
4. No clue
5. Mine deteriorated after day 3, so my blasts weren't good (twice). Day 3 did it for me, but I think blasts are generally better for most.
