When does pregnacy pains, sickness etc...start kicking in?

You know dear. You might not get any symptomes anytime. All I feel is breast tenderness maybe one a week and if I didn't know I was pg I wouldn't notice them.

Franca...other than uterus twinges and a couple of minor hormonal headaches...I get no other symptoms (so far)...with either pregnancy. You may be one of the lucky ones. Everything will be just fine! If you call and request another beta...would they do it?

Emma...no hot water bottle, hot tub, hot baths, or heating pads.

Helene...how cool and fun...that it says "girl". I hope they're right!

Nope they won't do second Beta, im glad in a way as it can make some of us paranoid!!! I could go and have it done at my husbands surgery but if its still low i would only worry and is that worth it? Its bad enough with all the stress we have going through ivf and then the 2ww, i must say its one of the worst things ever. I really want to feel excited but sometimes i feel really down, hormones? stress? its been non stop for us all. Now the 3 months wait, whats next? lol i dont know weather to laugh or cry!! Us girls deserve medels even our partners for that matter. Its not like we had wam bam thank you mam is it?
I just want to be honest here as im sure we have all felt this way!! We have to be so careful what we do, i cant even have an orgasm let alone sex, (by the time i can il probably faint, when i do ) god help the neighbours

I cant thank you all enough for being here for me, u guys again especially helene and Angela you both seem to have the right answers.
I love you all...wish we could meet up one day

Franca - we are all due almost at the same time. I think we definitely have to meet our babies once they are born... I am in if anyone else is in!!! I will travel to the USA and meet my mommy friends

Does anyone know how long it takes the embryo to attach to the uterus once the transfer is done?

Amanda – It depends on if you had a 3 or 5 day transfer. Look at the chart below so you can see what happens to your embryo following your transfer.

**this is what happens in a 3dt :

**transfer day
1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins, as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

Angela- This chart helped so much. Thanks for posting it. We did a day 3 transfer. I am a xray tech and I had to work this weekend. My job is very physical pushing and pulling people around, but my co-workers made sure I did as little as possible which was so nice. Usually I am running but I took it easy this weekend hoping it helps
