Newbie with a question

Post by jadelspe »

I have been reading these boards for forever and you guys are all so helpful so I am hoping that you can offer me some insight. I am 9dp3dt and got a positive on my hpt both yesterday and today. I am having some slightly pink spotting with a bit of cramping and want to know if this is normal. I am on the progesterone shots and that is it. I have had cramping from the start but the spotting is new as of this morning. I am trying to be positive but am totally freaked out.
Thank you for reading and any help you can provide.

Hi -

First off, Congratulations!!! I was crampy daily until about 8 weeks and still am here and there.
As far as slight spotting, It is totally normal, though unpleasant to see. for some reason spotting is common with ivf pregnancys.
Unless it turns into a bright red flow with painful AF like cramps, its normal.
Try to relax and enjoy your good news!

I also tested positive at 8dp3dt, and started spotting brown/pink two days later for about 36 hours. It started on the day I normally would have gotten my period. I didn't freak out too much because I assumed it was implant bleeding. I also started spotting again (heavier, this time more of a rust color mixed in) at 6w5d, which got me in for an early u/s...and revealed twins! That spotting lasted a week. I get very slight brown spotting from time to time, but for the most part so far so good. It's normal! I too had to wait an entire week from my BFP to my beta. I took five tests in the meantime :D Congrats on your BFP!

Congratulations. In case, you were wondering, that + is very likely not from the meds, unless maybe you are on the unusual protocol using hCG for luteal support.

Spotting is very common, even in viable pregnancies.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Thank you all so much. I am trying to relax and wait for my beta which is Thursday but it is hard. I think this is by far the hardest part in the process so far. Ghost thank you for clearing that up I was wondering if that could be it as well. I am only on Progesterone and my trigger shot was 4-12. I appreciate the advice and the congratulations.
