Emmax – I hope you are feeling better today. Yes, they only thing you can take is Tylenol and NO hot water bottles or hot tubs either.

Helene – Your test said you are having a girl … that is great! Isn’t that what you told us that you wanted for this baby? Can’t wait to see the remainder of the test results … I thought you said there was an additional part to it right?

I live in Ohio and I actually come to Canada at least once a year. I would love for our babies to meet each other. I would love to go to London also. My DH is always talking about traveling to different countries! I love the Disney World idea in Orlando, Florida, also. I have been there three times. The first time was for a business meeting; the next was just my DH and I; and the last was for a business meeting again this past January. It is so much fun!!!

Franca – thanks for the kinds words. My pregnancy symptoms started right away … but I noticed they got worse this weekend. I was really nauseated and I slept all weekend but I have been like that with all of my pregnancies. You might not feel any symptoms at all, several women don’t at all.

Sometimes, I think you are right about the additional betas because they have made me a nervous wreck! When did you say they will do your scan again?

Amanda – I am glad you took it easy this weekend and your co-workers helped you out as much as possible.

Not hopeless yet – I have to reply to you twice because I am just so very happy for you … whoo hooo!

Natakia – how are you feeling today?

AFM – Well, I had my 5th beta today and I am happy to say it was 2,607, which means it is still doubling every 48 hrs like it is supposed to! My progesterone is still a little high at 212 but I still feel good so far. My RE also rescheduled my first u/s from this Thursday to next Monday at 11:15am. That way I have a better chance of seeing a HB because I will be 6 weeks & 4 days on Monday and my DH will be able to go also. So no more BW for a while unless I become very nervous and ask them to repeat it again over the next week! Thank you ladies so much for all of your support … I love you guys!

Hi Ladies,

My nipples are sore & I've been feeling a few twinges since the transfer, but also a few cramps. Also, I may have to take back what I said about testing early. I found out that my company (Belk) is giving me 2 tickets to the Quail Hollow Golf tournament...big deal here in Charlotte, NC (all the major golfers will be here). But the tickets are now for Friday instead of Saturday...I don't think I can bear getting bad news if I'm out. I mean we both planned on being home to receive the news & now we'll be out. I just can't take that. I need to get the news while I'm home in the comfort of my house...so I may have to do it that morning or maybe actually Thursday, that'll be 10dp5dt (according to the timeline you guys posted, I should be able to have a positive test by then, if I'm pregnant). DARN this really messed up my well laid out plan. I'll keep you ladies posted on when I decide to test.

Yes I'm a little uncomfortable, I can feal the pressure if I walk long distances. I usuallyget a big sharp twinge on my side
when I get up fast from the couch or my chair @ work. My biggest follies are on my left so it's very sensitive...But so worth it for the outcome! I'm just surprised on how tired I am. Sunday I napped for 4hrs!!!

Well I just told my husband that I wanted to test early on Thursday or early Friday morning (before we go to the tournament), he had a fit. I really should of kept that to myself. It's unfortunate, I love him dearly but he really wasn't understanding. He suggested we wait until after the tournament...& I told him there is absolutely no way I was going to wait that long especially after I've waited this long. Man o man, they really have such a hard time understanding what we go through. Anyway, I'm just gonna have to test myself on Thursday, there's no way I'm going to be out & get the news. I'll just have to do it & talk to my girlfriend about it & make him think we're waiting until Friday. Oh well, very exhausted by our conversation, so I'm going to bed.

natakia : that's a tough spot to be in anyways, i hope and pray u get ur BFP on ur home test, and u enjoy your tournament. are u feeling any different? like any cramps, sore boobs, anything??
im on day 11 post day 2 transfer........and i have absolutely no symptoms yet. wonder what that means......im resting a LOT, so maybe thats the reason im not tired or exhausted.......going crazy thinking abt it.
hope u have ur BFP, and pass on the baby dust to all who need it here

Tammy : oh dear, im so sorry abt ur beta. yes, like everyone says, just hug zach tight, and thank god u have him. the Lords blessings come to us in strange ways, often, disguised as what we may perceive as a curse. just keep the faith dear, and He will help you.

Helene : how are you feeling, i mean symptom-wise? its superb to know u hae a little girlie in there.......congratulations.

Franca a lot of people can carry 2 babies i dont see why not that you cant ,,, ive got 7 sets in my family there a lot of us when i got my beta bk the dr said he thought it was 2 ,,,,

Hello Everyone! I am back in Maryland and my grandmother is doing better. This board continues to be so busy and supportive with successes and disappointments. My AF came last night so there will not be bw this week. I will speak with RE today to see when we can start next cycle. My insurance covers 3 cycles or $100,000 max. We are sad at this time but faithful we have a child. I cried off and on last night and was too tired to go to work. DH tried to get me up but I told him I need the time and he can take me out later. I appreciate all the prayers and support. IVF is not easy even when successful until we hold that child or children in our arms. Prayerfully, we continue to have the strength and faith no matter the journey at the end. I will update after I talk to RE. Have a blessed day!

OK the nurse just called with my beta.....she said I have a very low positive of 21.7!!!!!! That's crazy! I go back Friday to re-peat. She said with frozen cycles it's not uncommon to see low first numbers and asked if I have had bleeding or cramping (I have not). UGHHHH!!!!!!!

Natakia – I understand your dilemma … my DH and I argued over testing early w/ a HPT also. He didn’t want me to get my hopes up but I had to do what was best for my sanity and that was to find out as soon as I could. He understood and said do what you want (translation – you are going to do it anyway, so just tell me the results … lol). Please do what you need do to calm your own nerves, your DH will understand!

Franca – don’t be worried … some women are perfectly fine carrying twins but my body just couldn’t carry twins. Some of the risks include premature labor, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, placenta abruption, etc. My RE thought the fact that I was pregnant w/ twins had something to do w/ the loss of Ashley (placental abruption). Some women’s uterus (frame) is just not designed to carry more than one baby at a time. The great thing is that women who are pregnant w/ twins are closely monitored by a high risk OB and they can usually catch and treat conditions before they get too dangerous. Believe me, if I had the chance to carry twins, I would love it. But, for me it is just too dangerous!

Tameka – I am sorry to hear about your news. I am praying for you for your next cycle. I don’t blame you for taking some time to yourself today. You need to for your own mental health!

Lauren1171 – ok, I am praying for you and your baby. We just need for your beta to increase by at least 60% in 48 hours or double in 72 hours. Did they say what your Progesterone level was? I ask because my HCG didn’t double but my progesterone was high and it was a sign that my embryo was attached well and growing. But, remember measuring progesterone can be tricky because the PIO injections are measured through the blood and oral medications also but vaginal suppositories are not measured very well by BW. I am on the vaginal supp. so my RE was convinced that w/ a high progesterone level, that my baby would continue to develop because the embryo sends a signal to the ovaries to continue to produce progesterone to maintain the pregnancy. So far, he has been right and my HCG levels started doubling like they are supposed to! I know all RE’s don’t measure both HCG & progesterone but if you look at a lot of the data on-line, those two hormones are very important in predicting the progress of a pregnancy. The data also says not to put too much trust in the HCG/progesterone numbers regarding success of a pregnancy but a u/s is the best way to determine success and the hormones just gives us indicators. So please don’t give up hope! Remember PMA!!!!
