Hi Ladies,

Well after the eventful conversation I had with my DH last night. I woke up @ 5:20 and had to pee so bad I had to roll off the bed. However, since today is 8dp5dt for me and according to the schedule, I should have some HCG. I prayed I didn't pee my pants drove 3min up the road & purchased a pack of 1st response tests. Ran to the bathroom & POAS. The 1st response test is the one with the 2 lines. The control line was a very deep pink and the positive line was a SOLID light pink line :D . When I read the instructions it said that the 2nd pregnancy line will be light pink or deep pink. Mine was light pink, but you absolutely didn't have to struggle to see it very strong light pink line.

I guess I really don't know how to feel, cautiously optimistic. I've had 1 MC @ about wk 8/9. Thus far I'm experiencing some of the same symptoms with the last pregnancy: sore nipples and twinges. I did tell my husband & he just laughed at me. He said what about Thursday, I told him the golf tourny messed everything up, I wouldn't have recovered in time honestly to go. So I am requesting additional prayers that I get a good BETA # on Friday.

Is it ok to get my hair hilighted tomorrow? I forgot to ask.
Lauren - Don't feel discouraged because I am sure if it was really low, they would have told you. Some RE's just don't think the level is important. I hate to say it but it is just a wait and see thing right now. I am so sorry because I know how you feel and it was like time was standing in place until my next beta. But, I think it will be fine. There are several women on this site who have had low beta's and had very successful pregnancies. Remember, it is not the level of HCG that is the most important but how it increases that matters. So no worries, ok?

No, I heard the hair hilightening was a no, no but then I have read some articles that say otherwise. I would ask them what they suggest before going just to ease your mind.

Natakia - I am so proud of you that you went ahead and tested to ease your mind. Congratulations on your BFP! Remember, to have PMA. I know your beta will be great on Friday! Keep us updated and I am praying for you and your baby!

I think m/c is a concern for all of us who have lost children in the past but we just have to have faith in god that we will have our bundle of joy if it is meant to be. That was one of the hardest lessons that I had to learn after losing so many kids, especially my daughter at 21 weeks but it is all that I have to hold onto in order to continue my life.

Feeling nausea and totally exhausted so we are hoping these are good signs. Let's don't forget the weight gain :) We go next Tuesday for the blood test. I don't know if it is too early to be having symptoms but I hope not.

Thank you everyone for the support. My AF cramps are terrible! I called RE and I am going in for BW tomorrow. I was emotionally better today. I let my aunt know and she prayed with me and I know I will be okay. She is convinced that I am meant to have twins. Twins and triplets run in my family across generations. I told her one would be fine. My grandma had a great day. She is off breathing machine but had a trachiotomy to help with pnuemonia. The physical therapist was able to work with her and she maybe transferred to a rehab soon. God is so awesome and powerful. I am glad I was able to assist in her recovery.

Looks like I am headed for a chemical pregnancy. I POAS this morning and it was lighter than last night. Thats never good....so I called RE and said I got a + HPT 5dp5dt and they did bw and it came back at 8. 8? Well, its positive, but not good. Re wanted to see 15-20 today. So when I got home I POAS again and nothing....so I think its going down. I'll test again tomorrow, but I think this is the end of the road for us. I am moving on and beginning my adoption journey and I know that a couple years from now I will look back and never want any of this the change becasue I will love my adopted child sooo much. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, and gives us new paths to follow! Good luck to all you ladies!

Natakia,

I am a little over 8 weeks pregnant and tested when you did after my IVF and got a second line too... I saw the heartbeat last week and waiting for another ultrasound next wednesday. I have miscarried twice before, but never saw a heartbeat. Just curious, did you see a heartbeat before you miscarried? Just worried!

Thanks,
Stephanie

Tammy - I am so, so sorry. I know how much you wanted this. Having Zach is a wonderful blessing, but it is still so hard to lose a child. Praying for you.

Tameka - You have such a sweet spirit and are such an encouragement. I am so sorry this cycle wasn't it for you. Please let us know what your RE says about your blood work if you can. You continue to be in my prayers, along with your grandmother. I'm glad she had a good day.

Dr. Boots - Praying for your bean and that this blood clot will pass.

Lauren - I know you wanted a higher number, and I pray it continues to go up. I am so sorry for the waiting game you are in.

Neffi - IVF loss hurts so much, especially when you have your hopes up with a positive test. Please let me know if you have any adoption questions. You will, without question, realize down the road why the path was what it was. If you choose to do IVF again at some point, even after you adopt, that option is there. If not, you will be blessed with another wonderful child.

Hi Stephanie,

I never saw a heartbeat. A very sad story. My wedding was Saturday 3/17 and I went in for my very 1st ultrasound on Monday, 3/12. I saw the sac & I was so very excited, but we immediately knew something was wrong by the way the technician looked. There was no heartbeat. My baby just stopped growing & my body didn't know to miscarry it on it's on. I had to have a DNC. I demanded to have it immediately, didn't get out until the middle of the night & healed the next 3-4 days & got married on Saturday. It was hard. I think since you've seen the heart beat that's got to be wonderful! I wouldn't worry.

I am so sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. But, I am so very glad that you have a plan to adopt. I truly believe there are so many children out there who need someone to adopt and love them.

I think my DH and I will do the same thing later down the road. I wish you good luck and please check in w/ us every now and again so we will know your progress.

Natakia – I am so very sorry to hear about the circumstances surrounding your m/c. You sound like such a strong woman and it sounds like your DH is a strong man. So I think with your faith and your strength (me included), we can get through our fears and have a successful pregnancy. The great thing is that we have each other to lean on when we are just so unsure. Because believe me, I have those same thoughts and fears every day!

Natakia and neffi- i am so sorry to hear this news. Will pray for strength and guidance for you both to get you through this difficult time.

I have my day 10 stim e2 and u/s tomorrow morning, hoping for good news. It's funny how things work out. I was at dinner last night with friends, they all kept teasing me about being pregnant since Im only drinking water. They have no idea what we have been through as I have chosen not to tell anyone other than my sister what's happening. Then one friend told us she is actually 12 weeks pregnant. I am so happy for my friend and pray for a safe PG for her. At the same time, I long to be able to say "yes, I am pregnant!". Hopefully that day will come soon. Thank you all for just being here and listening, it means a lot to me!
