Karen – hello … that is great that you might already know the sex of your babies. That is so exciting!

I have had the same blood test done twice and I have found out that I have blood clotting disorder so I will be on baby ASA and Heparin shots twice daily until term. During my first pregnancy, I bruised really bad w/ the Heparin shots but I switched to the smaller needles and I barely bruise at all now. So if you need to know the size of needles just let me know; it is not that bad. I am just curious, why didn’t they run these test before the transfer so you would know or at least already be on the daily Heparin shots?

Stephanie – I am praying for you and your DH. He went through so much over there and it is only natural to need some type of assistance. I am proud that you and your DH have evaluated the situation and discussed a possible solution. This has to be so very hard on you also. I am glad that we are here for you to chat with because everybody needs someone to talk to.

DrBoots - I am thinking of you ... any word about your scan yet?

Katie – Sorry you didn’t get your results today. That can be frustrating! I am sure your results will be fine!

Claudia – Congratulations regarding your niece!!! Your scan will be fine tomorrow … I look forward to hearing all about it! My scan has been moved to Monday instead of tomorrow! I will be thinking of you tomorrow!

Helene – I will be thinking of you also for your scan. I know it will be fine and exciting to see your little baby in there!

AFM - I called my RE again this morning because I woke up around 4am to go to the bathroom again and then when I returned to bed I had this terrible shooting pain that really scared me. I didn’t have any spotting and I still have my pregnancy symptoms but I am requesting another HCG tomorrow (Thursday) just to ease my mind. I think I just needed to go to the bathroom because once I did, the pain didn’t return. But, I am determined to pay very close attention to every sign w/ this pregnancy so nothing will be missed like my previous pregnancy by my physician. So please pray for me that everything will turn out fine w/ my beta tomorrow!

Wow. u ladies have been quite busy.

love all the photos. you are all gorgeous - inside AND out! sorry... i'm not quite brave enough to post my pics. i do have some of the fam & DS on FB - if there are any fb'ers out here - PM me and we'll be "friends" ;)

haven't been able to catch up. still suffering from some M/S - ugh... at 12weeks, can u say goodbye already?!! but today the heartburn has been the worst. I have acid reflux anyway, but i can usually control it with diet and an occasional tums, but since the m/s started, i've begun taking protonix as well - which i had to take at the end of my last pg due to serious acid reflux and night time aspirations. :? ... had to start it early this time - and now it's not even working at ALL! I took some pepto about an hour ago - nothin. joy. I guess calling this kiddo "icky" was a self-fulfilling prophecy... icky is makin' momma sicky! not to mention the breakouts!! geez louise. face & chest are all breaking out like crazy!

sorry i haven't caught up and there are no personals. I did scan over a bit - and wanted to say how sorry i am to tammy. my heart breaks for you. we lost our first pg to missed m/c - we didn't do extended hcg, but went in for our 8 wk u/s to find no heartbeat after having seen it at 6 wks. I truly feel for you. hope you all can find a way to try again. your son is absolutely precious. i know you would love to give him a little baby brother or sister... and i pray that you will.

hope to be able to check in more often, but i keep hoping that and it doesn't seem to happen... thinking of you all, regardless!

Hello all -

Tammy - Sorry for your loss. I have been in your position twice and I have come to recognize that you can get through this and have a happy result in the end.

Helene - Too funny about the cabbage test...I was so anxious to know what sex we were having!

Stephanie - Funny that your husband would rub your belly and say "twins". Each night as my husband gave me my progesterone injection I would sing (in my head) "This one's for the girl..." Who knows why I was singing this song but we are having a girl. I believe that instincts are correct a lot of the time.

Karen - Now that we know we are having a girl we are set on Raelynn for the middle name. My mom's middle name is Rae and my mother-in-laws middle name is Lynn so I put them together and came up with Raelynn. Hoping to "kill 2 birds with 1 stone" so to say! :) Has anyone else thought of names?

Ryan - any news?

Franca - welcome!

Katie - I also got dizzy a lot and I have a headache quite bad everyday...this is why I really thought I was having a girl. These symptoms are so different than with my DS and my doctor also said that having bad headaches can mean extra estrogen...girl.

Everyone - on spotting...I found out that I have a low lying placenta (very common at 12 weeks in fact more common than not having a low lying placenta). They said that this can cause spotting...those of you having this maybe ask this at your next u/s and see what they say. Let us know.

Grow babies grow...to each and everyone of us!

Hope - I do hope you feel better soon regarding the m/s. I have terrible heartburn also. Sometimes, I think I will never get to sleep because it so bad. Stacking the pillows a little higher helps for sure. But, I know it will only get worse for me as my pregnancy progresses. It always does during each of my pregnancies …

Ktelise – that is exciting that you already know you are having a girl. Any ideas for her first name?

Yes, my sister had a low lying placenta (placenta previa) with my nephew and she did have spotting throughout her pregnancy. Also, during my OB rotation in nursing school, I saw women who suffered from the same thing and they really had to be careful when it got closer to their delivery date but most women are just fine because the physician is aware of the situation and closely monitors them.

Ktelise - Yes it is interesting how instincts are usually right. :) Funny, but ever since we decided to try and have a baby, we always referenced twins. We didn't even know that IVF is what we needed back then. Interesting huh? As for my spotting, I know it's a SCH, looks like both placentas are out of the way the last scan. One appeared high left and the other high right side. This was just my observation though and I am not a doc or a tech of course but I have learned a lot about u/s over the years. Even been contemplating going back to school to be a u/s tech. :) I will ask though, just out of curiousity.

Hope - Oh my! You poor thing to have ick make you sick. :( I hope you get to feeling better soon! When you get your acid refux, do you get bad chest pains? I get these bad pains in my chest and through to my back that don't seem to go away. No one knows what it is for sure and guess acid reflux. Which they wouldn't just give a shot in the dark! Now that I switched ins. I can't go to the hospital for anything that isn't pg related or I have to pay out of pocket. I know it isn't my heart, but wondering if they are calling it acid reflux, maybe you have the same symptoms?? :?

Angela - I am sure it was just your bowels. I get a little worried when I get bowel pain too when I have to "go." It does feel similar to other scarey cramps. I am sure everything will be just fine! I continued to take pg tests until I was 7 weeks. I am glad you found a way to deal with the shots so they don't bruise!

Claudia - Congrats on being a new Auntie! As far as the lack of symptoms, I actually felt that way too! Had nausea, tired and sore boobs then all of a sudden for about two weeks nothing. The tiredness and sore boobs came back but luckily the nausea didn't. Not sure what happened in there but it scared me. All for nothing since everything turned out to be fine. :) As long as you aren't cramping and you still have that adorable baby bump, I am sure there is nothing to worry about! I will have you in my thoughts and can't wait to hear your good news tomorrow!! :)

For everyone that gave us support - Thank you! I always tell him that there is no way, even if he told me everything, that I would know what it is like to be over there and I could never be as strong as he to be the one to go over there. I can never look at him and say, "I understand." I can just be there for support and let him know that his experiences have changed him. It can be hard on me, but I think more of how it is hurting him and how he needs help. There are so many other layers that need to be addressed too, like his childhood! The PTSD is the step he needs now and will lead to helping him with those other things. He doesn't get violent, he does get startled in the middle of the night sometimes and might get angry, but I know it isn't at me or anyone, it is because he was scared. He has spent so much time over there, he doesn't always know where he is when he is sleeping. I am sure we have all experienced this a little when away from home, but his doesn't go away. Part of me is thankful for the deployments, if not for it we would never have had the money to do the IVF. So I am thankful, I am proud of my husband, and even more proud now that he is finally accepting the things he needs to do to take care of himself so he can properly take care of his family. :)

As far as the spotting, seems to have gone away again. What a stubburn little inconvinience this thing is. Can't wait to stop wearing panty liners "just in case" and have play time! :D

Hello lovely ladies!!!

You are some hot mamas! I loved the pictures of everyone

Tammy-I am so very sorry for your news  I know there is nothing anyone can say to make this any easier. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Zach is a beautiful boy! I assume his surgery went well? I am thinking of you and your family.

Ryan-I am thinking of you as well. Have you heard any news lately? I hope you get positive news.

Stephanie-I LOVED all the pictures-so cute!! AGH with the spotting. I thought I was done as well but have had some today. I went off all meds Monday and "hoped" that would be the miracle answer. Not yet...My DH keeps trying to get in some fun squeezes with my ever-growing boobs and butt and I keep slapping him away. I don't feel overly sexy yet with the m/s and constant tiredness. I think this is his way to "prepare" for life with twins (no sleep, no time for sex) Your DH has gone through a lot and I hope he gets whatever help he needs to deal with it-it sucks that there is so much attached to someone in the military asking for help. I can't imagine that you can live through those war experiences without emotional/mental/physical scars. I haven't started taking belly pics but I will soon and post when I figure that out!

Claudia-I'm sure you will get reassuring news Monday. I went off meds and they haven't checked them for over 3 weeks now. Have you had past concerns with levels? I'm wishing you the best. Are you still spotting? Love the bump!! You are going to be the cute, skinny preggo lady with the beach ball tummy. You know the one that you can't tell she's pregnant from the back? Hehe!

Lou-I think I coming to see your trainer in about 9 months  You look amazing and I love the bump as well!

Katie-I love the picture of you and DH-so cute! Thanks for the heads up about the show-I'll have to tape it! I haven't felt dizzy-how very scary! Hopefully there is no repeat incident of this.

Angela-I am praying for good news for tomorrow's beta. The shooting pain could be so many things-let's hope it is nothing at all.

Malya-Completely understand the feelings you have-I have a coworker who has been pregnant twice since I've been trying. We were very close, shared everything and I told her about my struggles. She said, "God, I wouldn't get pregnant unless my husband gets me a Coach diaper bag. I need to accessorize." then two days later she announced she was 4 months pregnant. She also constantly complains about being a "tied-down" mom. I felt so angry that she lied to me and then only complains of being pregnant/being a mom. Some people just grate on our nerves. I've decided that I can't let those things get to me-it is a test of patience and kindness

Franca-Welcome! The worry doesn't seem to go away but we can only do so much and then we have to have faith that it will work out for the best. Try to enjoy this time.

Helene, ktelise-Girls?! Yeah ;) I have a funny story about this...So I went for a 13 week u/s with my first pregnancy (my 6 year old daughter) and my DH was DYING to know the sex of the baby. He asked and the doctor said, "Oh,it's a boy! Yes, I'm sure it's a boy!" He even circled the "part" and drew an arrow and wrote "BOY!" We went home, made a website announcing it's a boy, and gave family members a chance to vote on boys' names. Needless to say... the doctor was dead wrong  We have a very girlie-girl on our hands. Now we have a very funny, nice u/s picture in Madison's baby book. She's going to love that when she gets older!

Karen-How exciting that you may know the sex as well! Makes it so real ;)

Gi-How are you doing? I'm terrible at keeping track-are you all done with the meds for your killer cells? I couldn't remember (I'll blame preggo memory loss  ).

Babyluv-Your parents do sound amazing and it really seems they've passed that along to you! What a great gift! How are you feeling?

Hope644-I hope you feel better soon. Gotta love the m/s! Everyone keeps reminding me that means the hormones are working

AFM-I am completely off meds-woohoo!! No more smurf discharge (I know, TMI!!!!) I am still having spotting which is just annoying! I have my next OB appt. on May 3rd-hoping I get a sonogram! I have my official count-down until school is out and I'm on summer vacation. Unfortunately, I have to move classrooms so I get to pack everything and unpack/set up this summer. That should be fun with a big ol' belly! At least everyone is offering to help (hope they come through on that!). I have searched for pics of me/my family-I have tons of my DD but none with all of us. And definitely none of me (I run from cameras!) Not unless I could dig out the classic high school pics (I had some sweet poofy bangs that you'd love!) I'll get right on that task! Wow, this is a novel!

Take care ladies!!!

Angela - Thanks for thinking of me yes everything went fine :) I am continuing to pray that your baby will be ok dear don't you worry.

hope - boy it must be hard to keep the weight if you feel so bad. My goodness I am so sorry dear. I hope after the first trimester is done you can finally feel better poor you.

ktelise - yes it is so much more exiting when we know what we are having. But mine is still unsure and you is for sure so that's even better :) congrats on the girl :)

stephanie - So when do you have your next u/s so you can feel more re-assured dear?

rayossunshine - funny story yes. How cute. So what would you like to have now? So no more meds hey congrats that must feel so much better. My RE today asked me on what meds I was on and I said NONE and she was very confused. She asked again and said it was IVF right? I said FET and she said well they use MEDS for those cycles no? I said yes but I wanted to try a Natural cycle with no meds and since I also though it was NOT going to work I though I might as well go asap so I can go later on for the one cycle that IS going to work. So she was exited to see that it was possible to do a complete Natural cycle :)

So your apt is coming up soon now May 3rd you will see your beanies again great. You are expecting twins right?

Franca - I have NO SYMPTOMS yet either. DON'T WORRY will you :) we are the same and you will enjoy your pg just like me. My beany is great I saw her today... so try and think PMA ;)

Claud - so had my u/s today too and baby hb was 175 almost same as me. I bet you you are going to have a girl cause they say 160 hb and higher shows girls ;) So start thinking of names now ;) Congrats.

AFM - I forgot my ultrasound was Tuesday NOT Thursday. It was April 27th. Anyways they did it this morning and were worried about me on Tuesday... how silly was I. I have so much in my mind. So here is the picture of my bean measuring 2.65, hb of 175 and 9w3d pg.

Image

They gave me the IPS test forms to see if everything is ok with baby and so I have to put donw the mom's date of birth :) cute. We do that between week 11 and 13. So I will be booking that today :)

Also I packed the office last night and I found my dropplet. Thank God... I was able to find my baby's heartbeat so I was not too worried anymore. I am so happy I found it :)

Franca -- I'm at 11 weeks and I still don't have symptoms. When is your scan?

Helene -- Interesting.... exactly how do you do this Red Cabbage gender test?

Karen -- Wow... 2 girls! Congrats. And no, I haven't thought of names yet...lol. I'm still trying to convince myself I'm really pregnant.

Katie -- I'm off progesterone now. And I'm not having a level done at all, which I admit, worries me just a little. But if the doc was worried, they would check it, right?

Claud -- So glad you had good news at your scan! 176 is a great heart rate!

Angela -- I've had scary shooting pains too. But they are short lived. So I try not to worry. Maybe it's the uterus growing? Round ligament pain? Who knows!

Hope -- Oh c'mon... post a pic for us!

Sara -- Thank you! Yes, yes, come work out with me in 9 months! We'll be the moms with the rockin' bods! hahaha

AFM -- Feeling good. Stopped PIO on Tuesday. I'm glad for no more painful shots but a little worried as I'm not having a level checked. This morning I received a call from my aunt that my grandmother was taken to the hospital by ambulance due to mental status changes. Last I heard, she's having a brain scan. I'm worried and just waiting at work for a call. She's like a mother to me. But she's 84 years old.

Lou here are the instructions for the Red Cabbage Gender Test: http://www.ehow.com/how_5134590_perform ... nancy.html

And I am so sorry about your gm... I hope they find what is going on. My gm was putting meat in the cubbords and stuff in other places... she really needed someone to check on her... Now she is gone but will always be in my memories she was also like a mother to me... boy just taking about her makes me cry. I keep her photos up in my office all over and I got all of her photos of when she was young etc. I am scrapbooking her whole live... I miss her so.

I hope you gm will be ok soon and back to herself.

Hi everyone -

Well I still dont have my b/w results, but did finally have my calls returned, so I should get my answer this afternoon.
The nurse said that she hasnt even seen the RE since last friday, that he's been in surgery every day and that his bin of charts is overflowing
Ah, thats the problem of a private practice - no one to help with the workload.
I have my 2nd OB appt tom - and plan to nag him to death about getting the detailed version of my NT scan! I'm planning to flat out ask him if they was anythig in the chart about gender too!

Claudia Congrats Aunt Claudia! And I'm so happy to hear that little Flick is right on schedule! And now Flick will have a little cousin to play with

Helene Very interesting, your cabbage predictor - If I dont get to find out soon, then I guess I'll be buying red cabbage!

Hope Ack! 12wks and still m/s? You poor thing! I've always had heartburn which the pg has made even worse, but luckily my OB said 2 zantac each day is allowed - it helps alot!

Angela - Are you getting more beta results today? X'd for that!

KTelise - I love the combo name - and you'll make Mom and your MIL both happy - smart move! How interesting your theory of headaches usually are girls - hmmm, I hadnt had not even one headache in over 6-8 months

Steph - Good luck at your NT scan tomorrow! I hope that both babies cooperate!

Lou I'm sorry to hear that your Grandma isnt doing well. I was raised by mine, Grandmothers are just so very special. Prayers for yours - xoxo
