Hi ladies,
How is everyone doing? This thread is so quiet:)
Things are going well here. Loving the nonstop kicking . Never got to feel any of this with my DD cuz of all the complications. DH finally got to feel kicks too and he was so excited. Kinda sort of starting to think of order furniture but I am SO superstitious that I am sure I will change my mind and not order anything for a while, MAYBE around 30 weeks. Decided the kids will be in one crib in their own room for at the beginning. Still 50/50 on the nursing vs. formula.

Any other news?
IVF/ICSI 3/07 Froze All 36 eggs
FET 5/07 BFP; DD born early (26 weeks) 10/07
IVF/ICSI 8/09 Froze all 30 eggs
FET 11/09 BFP! TWINS from just 1 frostie! YIKES.

Rikirees- that's wonderful news that you and your DH are both getting to feel the babies kick! My babies get really active at night and my Dh says he puts his hands on my belly when I'm sleeping to feel them. I think we have decided to have the babies co sleep for the first few months (as long as it goes well) and then move them each to their own crib. I think you are brave for waiting to order your furniture. I totally understand being superstitious, but you are gonna have two wonderful healthy babies regardless!!

Kim- Welcome and congrats! I dont know anything about miscarriage rates, I suggest just to focus that energy on your two babies and things will work out in the end!

AFM- Things have been crazy! I have been having this wonderful smooth pregnancy and then as soon as the third trimester hits all is not as well. The gestational diabetes thing is fairly easy to manage, I follow my diet and dont cheat and know I'm doing what's best for me and my babies health. Just last week at my OB check up, I had really high blood pressure so he sent me to Labor and delivery for monitoring. I didn't have protein in my urine but the OB put me on bedrest to keep blood pressure in check. Yesterday I had to go to L&D for more monitoring and apparently I am having contractions, more than they would like to see. This resulted in multiple extra tests, hours in the hospital and sent home with meds to stop the contractions and have to do a 24 hour urine collection (not fun). Turns out I have a terrible reaction to the meds and gives me the worst migraine I have ever felt in my life! OB told me to stop meds, rest and go back to L&D on Friday for more monitoring. I am praying that all goes well and that these babies stay inside mommy for another 10 weeks!

Hoping all is well for everyone!!

I had my scan about 3 weeks ago I'm having 2 little boys omg bow I'm gonna have 4 boys and 1 girl my poor baby girl anyways is anyone else fighting this horrible fear of preterm labor? hi every1
Just joined, just been reading all your posts and found them very touching. First of all just wanted to say good luck to all that r expecting and wish you all the best.I had been tring to concieve for almost 10 years, but to no avail we decided to go thru IVF which was sucessfull on our first attempt - with twins. The reason why i am mentioning this is purely coz i went into early labor at 26wks and 4 day. I started to getting contraction at 25wks but luckily my babies hung in there until 26 wks. Coz this was my first perg I didnt know what was happining, I didnt go to the hosp until after a couple of days of taking some of the contactions at home. After which I was told that I will be delivering my twins sooner. We still dont know till this day what caused the early labour, Due to some complications my younger twin passed away living for 2 mths and 7 days, dont know why. So please please take care of yourselfs and if in doubt get in touch with the professional for advice and help. My baby where due on 2 feb 2010 was born on 31 oct 2009 is now 6 month old.
tke ar and once again all the best

Mommieof2: I am now on strict bedrest, only can get up to potty. I went in for reg apt on 4/21 and the said my cervix was dilated to 1. I was admitted and spent 9 days in the hospital. They finally sent me home and I have a home monitoring device which I use to check for contractions. I am so grateful to still be pregnant, I won't complain:) So hard to be bedrest with a 2.5 DD but we are doing ok:)

You are very prepared with every thing rikirees. I know that your babies will become healthier because you ensure that the baby is safe until you give birth of them. Actually, my wife also used a medical alert system during her pregnancy, and it gave us a lot of benefits.

Mommieof2- I hope you are getting some good rest. I will be thinking of your little boys and hoping they stay in mommy till August!

rikirees- I cant imagine bedrest with a 2.5 year old as well, but we do what we have to! Sending lots of stay in mommy dust to you!!

AFM- Tomorrow will be two weeks in the hospital for me. I dont have any preterm labor signs but I do have a very high concentration of protein in my urine. I will be here until I deliver because I need to be closely monitored to make sure everything else is ok. The Dr. scared me last week by saying she wanted to deliver me exactly at 32 weeks. She ended up changing her mind and now I am hoping to make it to at least 34weeks but hopefully longer. I have madei t clear to the staff here that I am not spending my first mothers day in the NICU and that my 3oth bday is in a week and I plan on being 30 before I have children! lol I figure where there's a will there's a way! lol

Take care and keep updating!!

I just wanted to check in to see if anyone has had babies yet. I am 34 weeks and 2 days today, and the doctor says that maybe we will do my c-section next weekend (at 35 weeks and 2 days)...if I make it to then. I am SOOOO ready, and I am sure that you guys are as well. I am measuring 43 weeks now; how about everyone else

With my first set of twins, I didn't make it this far, so I never got MISERABLE. This time, I have AWFUL indigestion that keeps me from eating like I should due to the Gestational diabetes. My Maternal-Fetal medicine doctor does a doppler on me every Tuesday to make sure that the bloodflow is still good to both babies, and I have a Non-Stress Test done at the hospital every Thursday to make sure that the babies are not under any stress. If their heart rates go up with movement, then they are considered "reactive" and that means that we get to go home afterwards everyweek.

I hope to hear from you guys soon.

My babies are here!! They arrived on May 18th at 11:51pm. I had a c-section scheduled to happen when I was 35 weeks but my boys decided they wanted to come when I was 34w1day. My biggest, Hendrix, weighed 5lbs 8oz, and his brother Halen weighed 4lbs 8oz. Hendrix was in the NICU for 8 days and is now home with me. Halen is still in there and we are hoping to bring him home on Monday or Tuesday. I am blessed that both boys are healthy and beautiful. They only hold up was that they needed to learn how to eat. When I figure out how to post pics on here I will do so (oh yeah, and when I get time, lol)

Bjones- I got really uncomfortable my last week too and it was kind of nice that I was in the hospital so that I didn't have to do anything for myself! Measuring 43 weeks?! wow! My Dr. stopped measuring me after a while but I definitely know I was HUGE! :) I wish you luck with your babies and look forward to hearing how everything goes!

DillysGirl -- Congratulations. I saw pictures that you posted on a different board. They are so cute!!!

My OB scheduled my c-section for June 17 at 37 weeks if I make it that far. He is on call all weekend, then his next on call day will be the 17th. I told my husband that I will probably have these babies while he is out of the office next week. The measured them on Tuesday and they are both right at 5.5 lbs. They are already so much bigger than my boys were. My boys were 3 lbs 2 ozs and 2 lbs 8 ozs. I am not going to know what to do with BIG babies.....

I hope everyone else is doing well.
