Steph- Don't mind at all to post belly pics. I'll get DH to take some pics this weekend. My family members have been asking for them, too, as they don't live near me. How do you know how your are measuring compared to a singleton? Is there a way to tell? I saw your pic. You definitely look prego! I think mine is about the same as yours. Maybe a tad smaller, but not sure. I'll post some pics this weekend!

Lou- Sorry to hear about your grandmother. Sending a prayer to you and your family.

Katie- I'm sure your P4 is fine since your pregnancy is going well. Why can't your OB monitor your P4?

As for names...I have picked Lillian Piper for our first girl (Lillian is in honor of my great-grandmother)...and if we get a second girl...possibly Reagan Harper. Not sure yet about 2nd girl name. If one boy, he'll be named after his father...who is also named after his father. So I was thinking to nickname him Tripp. If a 2nd boy, we picked Ronan Daniel. (Daniel is my father's name). I have many girl names that I like, but DH isn't in agreement on most. I really love Charlotte, but he knew a girl named Charlotte that was a nutcase. He likes Gemma...but I just didn't take to it right away. We both have Irish heritage, so he really likes many Irish name, but we are open to non-Irish too. It's hard to pick a name that works as a kid and an adult. I don't want a too familiar name, but not weird either. I was thinking to use a family surname as a first name, but haven't found one that really works for me.

Karen - Can't wait to see your belly pics! I know how I measure because the OB told me. They usually measure each monthly visit. That was my experience before too. I am almost at my belly button already when I feel it and I know at the button is a 20 weeks, well for a singleton. If you are a little smaller than me, it might be because I have about an insh of fat on top of that belly. lol Next time you go to your ob, have him measure your belly and we can compare cm to the gestation. :)

As far as names for us, I was thinking about keeping it quiet, but I suppose I can tell you girls. lol First boy is a Jr. I am not too wild about that, but DH really wants it and I can't change his mind so he would be Andrew Jay. A second name for a boy would be Ethan Jonathan, the middle name might change, but we will see what we get. First girl name is Angelina Lily. Funny Karen you mention your grandmother's name Lilian, my grandmother's name was Lilian too, which is one reason the middle name is Lily, the other reason is it is my favorite flower. :) Second girl name is still up in the air. I don't have the instict that there are two girls in there so I am not too worried about it unless I get told tomorrow I am having two girls.

Claudia - Your little belly did get a bit bigger even with that slender frame of yours. I suppose that makes it more noticable. :) Your little Flick is adorable!

Katie - Thanks for the good luck! As much as they were wiggling last scan, I am sure the doc will be able to get a good view. :) Good luck at your OB appt tomorrow! We will both have updates to give. Think you will get a scan too? That would be awesome if there was a gender listed!!!

Lou - Glad you are feeling well. Sorry to hear about your gm! You will have to keep us updated. I hope everything will be ok for now. Does she have Alz Heimer's or something?

Helene - My next scan is tomorrow. I am feeling fine about the pregnancy, just hate the spotting when it decides to show up. I know the babies are still growing and doing fine. I have not had cramps or red blood so I am excited for tomorrow! I get pictures!!! :) Your peanut looks great! Funny how you missed your appt but glad they took you today!

Franca - No worries... symptoms normally start around 6 weeks, but 20% of women don't have any m/s so don't worry.

Ray - I don't feel very sexy either, but it's like my body knows I won't be getting much after so it wants it NOW! lol So, spite how I feel about myself, I am still frisky! lol DH doesn't really grab at me much. I think he doesn't want to torture me as well as himself in the process. We are the kid of people that good or bad, once we get started it is hard to stop. So we have to really behave. :) Can't wait to see belly bump pics!

Katie - OK so can you tell me what is a NT scan. I hear it all the time and now I really don't get it? I though it was anatomy scan but it would be too early right? I hope you find out soon and if not spend a few dollars and have fun with the RCGT (Red Cabbage Gender Test) :)

claud - really cute beany and belly ... how nice to be young and beautiful :)

Ladies: I posted just a few personals because I have to work late tonight as I have a dinner w/ my doctors'. I just hope I don't fall asleep during dinner ... lol

Stephanie – I hope you haven’t had any spotting today! Good luck w/ your u/s tomorrow … I am sure everything will be fine. Thanks for the reassurance regarding my sharp pains.

Sara - It is so good to hear from you and know that you are doing well. Yeah, for being off of all of the meds!! My mother was a school teacher and loved to have her summers off and I loved it as a kid because we had so much fun during the summer!!

Franca – you are doing just great at 5 weeks! Some women just will not have any symptoms and others are glued to a toilet because they can’t stop throwing up.

Claudia – HB of 176 … that is awesome!!

Helene – I love the u/s picture!!! It is kind of a relief that you had your scan early because it can help put your mind at ease! I am so happy for you!

Lou – I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother … the great thing is that she is being checked out because the earlier she can be evaluated and treated will help with the end results.

Katie – Yes this is my 6th beta … lol. It is so bad the entire staff at Compunet knows me by name and that I am pregnant. Actually, they knew me from my last pregnancy and they all knew what happened w/ my daughter so I like seeing them. The girl at the front has the same name as my daughter (Ashley) and she is also pregnant so we just sit and chat all of the time, of course about our fears!

Karen – I like the names that you and your DH choose so far. It is so much fun thinking of names!

Gi – I hope that you are doing well!

AFM – I had another beta test done today because of the scare I had the other night w/ the sharp pain and it was 5,558, which increased from 2607 on Monday. My RE was happy w/ those results. My progesterone is still a little high at 178.1 … to be honest; I wish it remained high because I would know my little one is doing fine. So now the longgggggggggg wait until Monday for our first u/s to see our little baby!

OK, so I guess I'm not getting my results today after all. The nurse did warn me that the RE is so backed up that I might not hear til tomorrow, and said that she didnt have my chart in front of her, but she's pretty sure my P4 went up - so waiting til the AM -sigh

Claudia - Your bump is so cute and your sono pic is so clear! You can see Flick's entire outline! I love it!

Karen - I like all of the possible names you've picked out. I'm not even going to start to think about it until after I find out the gender. But I do know that my DH & me wont agree and will have to have some serious negotiation! Yes, I'm sure that my OB will check my P4 - that is if my RE EVER releases me -lol

Steph -I doubt that I will get a u/s tomorrow - but I'll try of course  - I actually really want one to see if they can tell me why I feel so uncomfortable. It was just in the afternoons, but now I feel this pressure all the time. I'm wondering if its due to my retroverted uterus? We'll see what he says tomorrow. I cannot wait to hear how your scan goes tomorrow! OMG you may come home knowing both genders!!!

Helene - NT scan stands for Nuchal Translucency - its done between 11- 14 weeks and can show soft markers for Down's Syndrome, plus they measure all limbs, head, crown to rump, organs to ensure that everything is in proportion. The Anatomy scan is done between 18-22 weeks - and thats the one that you usually find out the gender - but some have gotten lucky and got to find out early at their NT scan.

Gi - How are you doing? I know its been really hard to accept and relax, but we made it! And you are so close to being in your 2nd trimester already! Can you believe it?

Angela - Yipppee for a great beta! - I have to say that I'm a little jealous of your P4 levels though - Your numbers are so high, and mine are too low - cant it ever be simple?

Ronda - We havent heard from you in a while - Are you ok?

Hi Ladies,

I have a minute to post some personals...

Katie-how frustrating is that?!?! I'm sure your progesterone numbers are fine but hearing the news always makes me feel better. My progesterone actually went back up to 39 since going back on two prometriums so I am staying on that protocol until the end of week 13.

Lou-so sorry to hear your grandma has to go to the hospital to get checked out. I hope everything is ok...please keep us updated.

Sara-great to hear from you!!! thanks for the compliment of just having a belly (I always hoped I would carry that way but my mom who was also very thin when she got pregnant got fat all over!!!!) So only time will tell :D Are you going to find out the gender of the twins???

Karen-good to hear from you!!! I hope all is well and keep us updated!!

Helene-I can't believe you were off by 2 days for your scan!!!! That's crazy!! Glad to see everything looks well! When is your next apt?

AFM...I am exhausted!!! I usually take a nap but today I had to take my furry baby to the vet at 3:00 and I missed my nap time period and I have to teach tonight  The good news is that in two weeks my classes are over and I just have some occasional youth group meetings to go to until the middle of June!! I will be relieved when I am not working every night!! I am however taking tomorrow off since it's my b-day and going to lunch and mall with a friend!!!

xoxo

Quick update:

My grandmother, whom I lived with from the time I was 3 years old until I left the house to get married, is doing OK. She went to the hospital by ambulance this morning due to mental status changes. Someone asked if she has alzheimers and she does not. She's actually very quick witted and smart. She loves to cook and bake and watches cooking shows all the time. She had a CT scan of the brain to rule out a stroke and that came back good. She also had an ultrasould of her leg because it was a bit swollen and there is no blood clot. Her leg swells because she had a vein removed for bypass surgery a year ago. She has been admitted and will have more testing tomorrow. That's all I know.

I've had a terrible and stressful day at work. I'm supposed to go to a dinner presentation tonight but I think I'm going to blow it off and go home. I'm exhausted. Grandma doesn't need me to visit. She wants to rest. I talked on the phone to her and she sounds like herself and said she feels like herself, so I'm relieved. I just hope whatever tests they do tomorrow don't turn up anything terrible but something caused her to have that occurrence today so I hope they figure that out too.

Talk to you all tomorrow.

Lou - I'm glad to hear that your Grandmother's status is better, and i'm sure that you'll have some more solid answers by tomorrow.
When I worked in a nursing home, I was always sort of surprised to see the common things that you'd never expect cause a change in mental status, sometimes as simple as a UTI, or dehydration. I know you're worried, but she is in good hands. I've got you both in my prayers - xoxo

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I took so long, my mom, sis, BIL and 2 nieces are here from CT, so I haven't been able to get on the computer all day.

So we went in for the sono and I cannot tell you how long we waited! It was pure torture, but then DH and I began to talk and entertain each other so it worked out. Well, they did the sono and the little bean is STILL hanging in there. But there isn't much growth (no fetal pole and no heartbeat), a little bigger than Monday. Then I got the call this afternoon that my bloodwork is all good and I need to stay on the meds and on bedrest until Monday. I can't believe it, I SO thought it was all over!!! I went from this numb feeling thinking it's over to having hope that there will be a heartbeat or fetal pole on Monday!!!! Now I have begun paying and thinking that there is a chanec that this may actually work!

I am still bleeding and having little cramps, btu we'll see. I am having my DD's communion next Saturday and supposed to be flying out to FL the next day. We have already discussed contingency plans for everything, so we'll see. Going to catch up on the posts now and will try to do personals soon!

Gi - I can't believe your do personals on memory... you are amazing there is no way I could do that. My memory is so bad. I mean look at just today I left my keys in the Van at lunch so at night when it was time to go home I looked all over and then though maybe in the van and yes they were. Good thing I lock the doors with the keys beeper so the van was NOT lucked :)

I was wondering where you were... what have you been doing girl?

Lou - So glad to hear your grandmother is doing better! I am so glad that it isn't a mental issue...do they have any idea what happened?

Ryan - AMEN! We are continuing to pray for you. Does the placenta look anymore attached, or about the same? I am so happy your bean is hanging in there. That is such good news, keep us posted. Praying you have an awesome u/s on Monday!

Angela - Yay for good betas! I think you've had more betas than any of us, and I don't blame you ONE BIT! Keep them coming, especially with what you've been through. Can't wait for you to also have an awesome u/s on Monday!

Katie - Seriously?? No results? Sigh...must not be bad news or else I would think they would have called you.

Claudia - Great hb!! I cannot WAIT for my next one at 11 weeks...just want to make sure everything is going ok in there!

Steph - Any more spotting?

Sorry for leaving anyone out. I have a headache and am exhausted! I am so tired, but it seems to be worse every other day. Today I had more energy (still got a nap in) which was good, and DH is finally back in town after being gone (with a home stay on Tuesday afternoon/night) for a week. The kids and I are glad to have him home :D Other than being tired and occasional crazy hormones, I'm still feeling good. When I got out of the car tonight I had crazy cramps, but not AF type cramps. They were basically cramps, liked pulled muscles, on my sides. I laid down and they disappeared, but so weird. That's been about the most exciting thing.

Ryan - I hope you get to see the hb monday! I know how the bleeding is, like I said I had the same thing. Is the blood turning brown at least? Bed rest is pretty strict, no getting up to do anything except go to the bathroom and try to lay down as much as possible. How long will you bee on bed rest? The more you stick to the bed rest the more likely the placenta can reattach! You have these plans coming up, I hope the SCH starts to heal by then if it hasn't started to heal already. We were all so worried for you and still will remain so until you get to see your little peanut's hb!

Lou - Glad your gm is well! You must be so releived! I say go ahead and blow off the dinner. You need your rest, it was a hell of a day!

Katie - If you can badger doc into a scan, maybe you can have him check the gender? I hope you find out your test results tomorrow. That must be frustrating! A doc is doing my scan so I think I might get an answer tomorrow on how things look. Not sure if I will have to wait for the detailed results or not. I will fill you in of course tomorrow. :) I hope he can tell the gender!! I have people on FB guessing. Most say one of each, one said girls but no one said boys except Andrew! lol

Angela - No spotting today! YAY!! Thanks for being concerned. :) Also, you might experience ligament pain as your belly grows. This is felt more when you move suddenly and it doesn't feel pretty. I have been getting a lot of that lately. Glad your numbers came back nice and high! Monday will come before you know it. :)

Gi - How have you been? Yeah fun time must wait, but we will live. I am glad DH is getting what he needs, he goes next week to sign up for his sessions and fill out the paper work. He is a bit nervous but I know everything will be just fine. :)

Babyluv - Spotting hasn't appeared again so far so YAY! I think having twins we get those ligament pains more often. It happens when I move suddenly, roll over when sleeping sometimes and when I sneeze or cough sometimes. I have never had to pee so much before in my life too. Even when I was 40 weeks pg with DD so this getting up in the middle of the night is a bother. I guess I need to get use to it. lol
