Sophie - loved the cake! Gorgeous, you are very talented but I think your best creation is Sitting right next to you! What a cutie pie, a heartbreaker! Congratulations on your gorgeous son, loved the pics. My boy weighs almost 30lbs so I am very worried about this. He is a mommy's boy and wants to be held and carried everywhere!!! Up mommy, up! My Dh has a bad back and can't carry him or pick him up because of the weight and strain. So I am in a bit of panick for those couple of days I should not pick him up. But with that said, I also looked online and several studies show that there is no difference between rest and no rest after ET. Take a look if you have time and let me know if you find anything, I read those a while ago... Just one more thing to stress about!!!!

Thank Thank You for the warm welcome!! You guys are awesome. It's tough to talk about all of this with people that aren't in the same spot, or don't know what in the heck you're talking about or just don't want to get involved???

Riogirl - you asked about what our issues were... our main deal right now is the male factor. My hubby jokes saying his boyz swim sideways. lol a motility issue as well as low count. The doc is planning on doing icsi.

kismet - Yes it is great to know your not alone!!!

purplefish - injections are going fine. I was a little chicken yesterday which is silly since we haven't even gotten to the big needles yet... "am i really sticking that in myself" my self preservation kicks in and i have to sike myself out. lol

PMApsy- I don't know about being an expert! lol I'm still just trying to figure out all the acronyms! Are you a cake decorator? Fondant sounds complicated!!!

Today's our 3yr wedding anniversary! woo hooo. I love being married to the man of my dreams!!!

Just a quick update from me. I will do personals tomorrow.

My ultrasound and blood tests were both good today! I am growing a little slower than he expected, but my levels are go so my RE is happy. It may push the retrieval back to around the 7th, but I will know more after another ultrasound Saturday. Still around 12-15 folicules on both sides... yay! My biggest right now is 10mm, so grow grow grow!!

Anissabug - good luck tomorrow! I am hoping great things for you!

Good morning ladies!

How are you guys doing? I'm quite unmotivated this morning. My two guys stayed home today because DS has his Dr routine apt this morning. He had a great bday party at the daycare and I got rave reviews about the cake. Please, don't think I'm bragging, I'm testing my work right now to see if I truly have business potential there, so any comment is info I can use for that purpose. DS came back home with a huge helium balloon and he kept playing with it, hillarious! He played way more with his balloon than with the gift the daycare lady gave him, how classic!

Anyway, I feel unmotivated this morning because, already, commute is starting to take its toll. 2h30 every day, it really is a waste of time. We've spent months trying to find other solutions (moving, other transportation, and so on), there just isn't one. I feel quite trapped. My position here allows me to do research, it's a rare privilege. Plus I have a permanent job. The pay isn't what it should be, but it's decent and something I can count on. With private practice, your schedule changes constantly, you get paid more but you never make the same salary each month, and of course you can't do research. We almost made a big change in March, but DH isn't ready to quit his job because he makes a super good salary. I understand that and I don't want to rush him.

I really, really hope I'll become pregnant with this FET. It would give me hope. Because we'd be expecting, obviously, but also because I would leave for the holidays and take another long break from the commute. And, who knows, between now and the end of my maternity leave, things might be really different and I might finally see what better career options I could choose. For now, I just know I must be patient and wait, and sometimes it's harder to wait in the dark.

Thank you so much for your kind comments on the cake and Jérémie! :)

Anissa, we're on pins and needles!!!! How's that beta???? *HUGS*

Rio, you,re very generous, thank you so much! Oh, I've read the studies, it's the first thing I did back when I began IVF. I know that avoiding stairs, bedrest, and so on, doesn't change the outcome at all. But opinions on lifting weights during pregnancy are extremely varied. Some will tell you that you should avoid lifting anything heavy during your 1 trimester because it could cause tears in your uterine wall. Some will tell you to be careful only because your center of gravity changes later on, your joints and back too and you could get hurt or fall. So basically, it ranges from "don't ever lift anything because you'll miscarry" to "hey, lifting weights is a great way to keep in shape during pregnancy and prevent muscle loss". It always comes down to a comment I once read here... no matter how you look at it, if an embie is in a great enough shape to stick to you and grow, it will, and if your body is able to make it happen, it will... there's nothing much you can do during the first trimester to prevent miscarriage, unless you have an identified medical condition. So I guess I'll lift my son whenever needed and, if I don,t feel right afterwards I,ll change my behaviour.

dys,
Yaaaaayyyy for the dates! Oh, it's always exciting to start your meds, it's something tangible!

sunshine,
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! :) Did you plan anything special? Nope, I'm not a cake decorator, but I'm giving it a try to see if I might do it part-time one day.

bei,
Hi there, thanks for your comments, and yeah my meds are no longer making me sick, barely some burning when my stomach empties so it's all good! :D

EShepherd, Hi! It,s great to meet you! Hehehehe I also hope this will be your last IVF, good luck! I,m sure you'll like it here, it,s a great source of support and information! :D

purplefish,
Super duper for the ultrasound and blood tests!!!!! Grow follies, grow!!! :D

Okay, must try and do some work! Love ya,

PMA - what is it you do? Sounds interesting... good point about the pregnancy and lifting, whole other set of challenges we did not face before!
Anissa- good beta thoughts your way let us know!!!!
Purple - yeay - send me some of that high number folly dust please!!!!! Congrats - grow follies!
EShepherd - WELCOME!!!!
Bei - you bring so much color and cuteness to our thread!
Sunshine - we have low count, low motility and morphology so we did ICSI also. It is quite hard on DH seeing me go through al this because of his swimmers, but he is a sweetie about it. I never have once complained because it is a blessing to be with him and if we have to go through IVF so be it.
dys24 - how old is your baby girl?

AFM I have my first blood test today send me some good estradiol level dust!!!! :) Happy Friday!

Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers!! I had my first beta this morning and it came back 46?? Now due to my hcg shots (last one on Wednesday night at 8:30 pm) I most likely have some left in my system. Been going crazy analyzing all this information!! Apparently, 1000 miu leaves your system every day, which is exactly how I calulated when you figure out your 10000 mius when triggering. Any hoot, I had a poas and did it on Wednesday night which was 9dp3dt (12po) very faint positive. This discouraged me because it had been 3 days (took my last 2500 miu on Sunday night at 8:30pm) and at 8:15 Wednesday it was a faint +. Now on Wednesday I did not have a full cc to inject only 1/2 cc ( i must of not mixed enough saline?? ) so I am thinking maybe (just maybe) it was less than 2500 miu and with the 33 hours it already depleted my system..............See I am going crazy!

I am buying a few poas and will be starting tonight until they go negative or darker. I can't wait until Monday for my 2nd beta................

Needless to say, I do believe this one was a bust too! I am holding on to a little hope but not much. Will update later. Need to go make dinner.

Thank you all again!

wow I am not sure I can keep up anymore... you guys are busy bees=)

PMAPsy - your cake looked really great! I would have gobbled it up :D Your son is really cute, I like that the cake matched his sweater.

bei - sorry that you had a canceled cycle last time, why was it canceled?

sunshine - I think it can be really hard to talk about infertility, I love everyone here they are so positive and so supportive it is really great. I sit and stare at the Menopur shot every morning and try to convince myself that this will be the morning it doesn't hurt... never happens but it is hard to push that plunger knowing it is going to burn.

rio - I will share lots of good follicle thoughts so you can get some nice numbers too! How was the blood test today.

anissa - so frustrating not really knowing anything=( I am still hoping the best for you and that you don't go insane this weekend wondering.

I broke down and did a HPT and it was BFN. I am ok. It just wasn't meant to be this time. HE only gives us what we need when we need it. We are fine and will be taking the summer off from this IVF world. After a year and half - we need to focus on us and our 2 children before they are off to college. :D

I will be checking in to see how you all are doing. THANK YOU all sooo very much for the support and prayers. I wouldn't of made it through all these cycles with out all of you incredible, strong, supportive women!
