June 2010 Babies yet??

T WEST- Thanks for asking about the show! My RE was contacted by the WE channel over the summer and they are doing a special on IVF and more specifically on embryo donation. My RE is really taking a stand on embryo distruction. He refuses to destroy leftover embryos, they either have to be donated to a person or science if you do not have a use for them. He believes that we created these living entities and to destroy them would be wrong. DH and I decided that if we have any unused embryos that we would donate them to someone and give them the opportunity to have children also. There is a long waiting list for embryo adoption and lots of women out there that would not be able to experience pregnancy or having a baby without this adoption process. Anyway, they asked us to be in the show and we said yes (this was back in September) They came to our house and interviewed us and recorded an office visit (the one where they tell you if and when you'll be having your transfer). The cameras taped the u/s and everything (vaginal remember back then?!) obviously they didn't see my whoowho but it was still really wierd aving them in the room with me spread eagle in stirrups lol. They've been all over the country interviewing couples going through the embryo adoption process at different stages and although we did not need to adopt an embryo I guess where we fit in was the fact that we were willing to give ours up for adoption if we have any left.

I just got word today that they are coming back in town and want to record an u/s and my RE offered a complimentary u/s to us. So they are going to do a follow up since the IVF worked! All of this was supposed to air in January but it's been pushed back now to mid-late March. Last time I spoke with the producer she said our piece came out really good and we were going to be the first couple to be featured on the show. As soon as I find out exactly when it will air, I will let everyone know. I can't wait to see it either!!!

They have a show coming out about endomitriosis also which sounded extremely interesting (especially to me since that is my issue).

sancap Thanks for popping in on our July thread. We should have just made a June/July babies thread in the first place. I was wondering about your show. Please let us know when it is airing for sure so we can check it out. I agree it will be helpful to show ignorant people what IVF is like and personal stories. I was telling DH about JoLo. I waon't go into what he said since I would have to bleep out too much....

WOW this board has been S-L-O-W lately! Where is everyone...I have news! Well we decided that for our last u/s if the tech could plainly see the gender, she could tell us but she didn't have to go searching if it wasn't obvious. After I told her that she said " Oh honey I've known for months what the gender is, do you wanna know?" So we found out Wednesday that IT"s A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooo excited. Of course I would have been happy with either but I was hoping for a boy for the first time around. I know initially we said we weren't going to find out the sex but now that we are half way there I feel like we have so much to do and everything would be so much easier to plan if we knew. I LOVE knowing! and so do all my friends and relatives. They all hated that we were going to wait so I think this makes it easier for everyone!

We found out on Friday that baby A is a GIRL! Baby B would not cooperate so we don't know what it is yet, but the u/s lady thinks it is a girl ... But that will be determined more clearly in 2 weeks.

My twin boys were hoping for another set of twin boys, but I am absolutely tickled!!!

Hi all,
It has been so long. My hubby and I just got back from a trip to vegas. It was so nice to get away.
I am so excited for you Sancap....yeah...a little boy. My husband and I still go back and forth with finding out the sex. We are still holding out at this point.

Congrats to you bjones! With 2 boys already, little girls will be a wonderful addition to the family.

So happy for both of you!!!!

Starting to feel like things are moving very fast and that there is alot I want to accomplish before June! Can't wait for the weekend!

Hi Everyone,

we are in the middle of moving to Switzerland and I am staying at my parents. Which is really nice but I could use some free space
We found out in December that we will have a little baby boy. I was looking for female names so I had to start over again. Also the stroller, car seat brands are very different here so I have to search for info online to make a good decision. For us, since it is our first, it is a lot of new stuff to think and learn about, but its the best that could have happened

I'm hoping that the quiet board means that everyone is happy and healthy!! I know I haven't posted forever but to update, we are having two boys! I am just loving every day getting to feel them squirm around and I get at least one ultrasound a month so I get to see them often. Makes up for the constant backache !

How is everyone doing with their nurseries? Our is coming along. I am actually making my own crib bedding and window treatments so that has kept me quite busy. I have a friend coming in a couple of weeks to paint a mural on the wall for the boys. I feel like I've waited soo long for these babies that I want everything to be perfect, though I am sure you all can relate.

Congrats to Kiwi and sancap on the boys and to you Bjones on your girls! I am assuming that you found out that baby b is a girl also?

SanCap- I really look forward to watching your show! The reality of IVF is often skimmed over,so much appreciation to you and your DH for letting everyone in on your journey.

I made the mistake of watching "Postpartum Nightmares" the other night... scary!

Hi Everyone- It's me Tonyacheek24 It's been a while since I have been on this board. I'm not sure if you recall but I was so sick for the longest time. Hi Shelyborne, Melanie, Sancap We are almost here now ladies. Never thought we would have made it My due date was orginially June 26, 2010 but I'm measuring two and half weeks ahead :)I'm schedule for a c-section June 19th unless She comes early on her own.I can't believe we are having another girl- The doctor asked if I wanted to try Vaginal but I must admit I'm soooo scared.. So I chickened out. Hope you ladies are doing well- Has everyone planned the date for the baby shower I miss talking to you ladies. Hope all is well .Oh we decided to name the baby girl Shayla. Our first daugther's name Is Faith, but my husband and I couldn't agree on a second name so we came up with Shayla. Hope you are doing well and look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Everyone, I am doing quite fine. My office started betting on when the baby will actually arrive - estimated date is June 10th so we will see. I have most of the furniture for the nursery but need much more.

Hi everyone! Im glad to see all my old cycle buddies are doing well! DH and I are doing great.
We got a call yesterday from DH's infertility dr. that he wants us to do an interview for WE TV and talk about IVF. I remember Sancap talking about this...did it air already? We are definately going to do it. But Im kinda nervous! I will let you know how it goes.

Hi Everyone! Hope all is well and all the babies are growing strong and healthy My lil Guy is very active that's for sure! We are going on our babymoon this week I am soooooo excited! To Marathon key for 4 days of R&R (much needed). Work has been crazy busy (which is good cuz in Real Estate, most of the time, busy=$!) Nursery is coming along and baby shower is scheduled for May 1st so things are going to get really exciting here soon. I can't wait!!

kala/sarah- I am so excited to see you on the show, please let me know when your segment airs so I don't miss it. I still don't know when mine is supposed to air, they keep changing the date. I think the whole show is supposed to start May 1st and it airs at 7:30 am (which is not the best time but I'll DVR it) and it's called "The Fertility Chase".

I'm excited to watch your guys shows! Infertility and IVF need more information out there to people. Too many just think we are all Octomom and are quick to judge. When we all know the reality is quite a different story.

Well I am writing this from my new home in the hospital. I have Pre- eclampsia and will be in here until the babies are born. I was transferred last night from the hospital I planned to deliver at to one that is two hours away but has an excellent NICU if we need it. Currently the babies are both measuring about a week ahead and one had already started breathing. They are weighing about 3 pounds each. All of this is great news. I was given the steroid shots to further help their little lungs to mature.

Baby B is breech and A is ready to go but Dr. says that given my condition we will only do a vaginal birth if B can turn his stubborn butt around. Considering it's my child I am doubting this will happen. I am a stubborn Taurus and seems these guys are wanting to be Taurus as well!

I am sooo not ready for them to be here. My baby shower was set for May 1st and I was hopiong to get a lot of items there. We are now having an after the babies shower. I had to quickly order carseats online and send my mother out to the store to buy preemie clothes and diapers. Hopefully I have at least three more weeks before they come so I can figure out what I absolutely need to get for them. ahhhh, I am thankful for the internet! lol

Hope all you mommas are doing well and keeping yourselves out of my situation! Please send your good thoughts and prayers to my little ones for a longer baking time, healthy delivery and healthy lives!

Would love to hear updates on how the rest of you are!

Hey ladies- Just checkin in on everyone. Dillysgirl i hope the preeclampsia holds off and the babies hold off a little longer. I'm doing ok. The baby is already 4lbs and 3 oz and my back hurts soo bad. My shower is scheduled for next saturday May 8th so I'm looking forward to that. I have attached the sonogram pictures that were taken of the baby last week. She was quite active. Hope you guys are doing well.
