angela - I am a web designer and developer for the government. I work as a contractor $400/day. They pay me big box so they can fire me anytime and don't have to pay me a pension or vacation or anything ... So I loose jobs when they get budget cuts but I get lots when the budget is back on I had 4 jobs last NOV and I was 8m pg... so I am not worried at all. Actually there is 2 years of salary saved up in my business so I could NOT work for 2 years and still be ok

Me too I got my apt with my HR OB. It's June 9th... can't wait to see what I will have to be careful with. Maybe he will say I can't work for like the last 6 months who knows. God works in small miracles and I just have to go with the flow

I hope you like your new OB and feel comfortable with him too.

Lauren - it's not just pg vit you have to take it's the ones called "Preg Vit". I can send you the bar code if you want htey are the ones that saved my babies and my sister's baby too at 45...

So you want to know about acupuncture. Well I went twice a week for the last month before transfer up until transfer and did implantation protocole day of transfer and both times it worked for me... it's amazing. Do it if you didn't before... And I know herbs help too but I didn't use them. You can do it... My sessions were $65 dollars for first time in the month and then $45 after that and day of transfer it was $45 also... it's covered by my dh's insurance lucky me.

Debbie - I think my hpt showed up at day 8 also but I didnt' see it until the following day so give it time to show ok. it can take hours... Same for next day. until day 10.

Lauren1171 - I can't wait for your mom to know... I hope everything goes well for you all.

neffi - good decision glad you told your RE and NO it's NOT going to drop it will keep on rising you just have a cute lo in there growing at his pace hugs.

I know it has been awhile since I have posted my progress, but I promise you all I read this blog every night and catch up with everyone..I pray for you all daily and so happy for those who are posting Positive Pregnancies!!! For those who are still waiting, Don't give up on HOPE and your FAITH! I can't tell you enough how much these girls have helped me through my roller coaster ride of IVF... No one can understand unless you have been through it... And this is where you will get the best support and advice!

Tomorrow is my 3rd ultrasound with my RE and hoping to be released! I would be lying if I said that I wasn't nervous... Please keep us in your prayers and I will update you guys tomorrow!

has anyone out there done day 6 transfers? my ET was supposed to be tomorrow but they called today saying it might be thursday am. i don't know much about 6 days transfers and was wondering if anyone had any advice/thoughts??

Nicliz - Yes, I did have a FET 6 day transfer because during my first fresh transfer they grew my embryos to 5 day blasts and transferred 2 embryos but they froze the rest of the embryos on day 6. So when I did my FET in May 2009, it was technically a 6 day transfer.

Nicliz - Libby did a 6d fresh transfer and is also pg. I think a lot of FETs end up being 6dt because many REs do not freeze until day 6.

Well, I caved and done the HPT! And it was negative, but I do kinda see a faint line, but I think my eyes could be deceiving me! lycase when you said, I think my hpt showed up at day 8 also but I didnt' see it until the following day so give it time to show ok. it can take hours... Same for next day. until day 10. Do you mean the same stick you urinated on? so maybe in a couple of hours I can check it?

I am thinking still to early, but at least I do know that the trigger shot is out of me! I am going to continue to pray.

I believe I am going shopping with my mom and sister today! That will help keep my mind off of things.

nicliz - I don't understand why they put your little embies through so much stress. Why not just put them back... boy I would hate to loose so many just cause the clinic wanted to see what will happend... sorry dear. I know that means your embies are doing so great but really I don't understand it?? Sorry could not be of more help.

Debbie - Yes I mean the stick I peed on didn't show it until many hours later so long I had put it in my paper garbage and the next day same thing until someone here said their second line showed the next day I then went back to them and saw the lines only then. So if you saw a faith line so light you are not sure I tell you ... look later long time after and you will see it Good luck happy for you dear.

AFM - I am glad I didn't have to long to caught up this morning cause I did it last night. Cause my co-worker at work decided to send me work... loads of work just before I leave can you believe that... like over 100 pages to work on... I though this is stupid. I am about to be gone in a couple of weeks why didn't she just leave me alone... So anyways I will see how far I will get to do them but I told my boss there is no way I can do all of that before I leave... Too bad.

Well ladies my doctor just called and my beta test is negative. My DH is at work, but he is now on his way home bc I really need him. I guess we get to do it all over again in July. God this is harder than I ever imagined it would be.

Hi Amanda,
I am sorry for your BFN. I never made it to beta because AF came right on time, four days before beta. I was devastated and cried for hours with my DH. I took the next day off from work because I was an emotional reck. It is harder than we imagined because we want that baby. After a few days, I felt better but it still crosses my mind. I went to my RE for day 3 testing. My RE wants me to have AF again before starting again. I go back the last weeking May or first week in June. My case is currently being reviewed. It is frustrating because you wonder what went "wrong" or what could be done differently in the next cycle. I am in awe of the women on here. I just had my first IVF but there are couples who persavere through several cycles, chemical pregnancies, and miscarriages and they are still faithful and supportive of others. I had four embryos transferred that were of great quality and I responded well to meds for stims. My RE is limited to taking eggs from one ovary. I am trusting in God to touch the hands and minds of those individuals working with me during this process. There is success in IVF. There are plenty of ladies in this group who have BFP. I can over analyze but it will not help. My grandma was in ICU and I had to fly to see her three days after ET. Could that have affected me? Sure, but I needed to see my grandma and don't regret going. I have decided to reduce activities in my life and be more relaxed. I get massages but never had acupuncture and may try it. It is great to have the support of your DH and family and friends. My friends are encouraging and are often at a loss for words if they have a DD or DS in their lives. I have to be patient and faithful and that is not always easy but I can do it. I will probably be in a June/July Cycle Group.

This board is very supportive and I have been reading but not responding because sometimes the pain of seeing AF returns but when I saw your post, I wanted you to know that you are not alone and we all need an avenue to vent. There is no better place than here because everyone understands and know the IVF process. I will pray for comfort for you and your family.

Thank you Tameka94 for reaching out. Yesterday was hard especially when we had to tell his & mine parents. I try not to over analyze it, but us women tend to do just that. My husband & I have decided we are just going to give it our all the next 2 months and see if we can get pregnant without any help. If we do great and if not then we will do the next cycle in July. You're right these ladies on here so supportive and helpful. It has helped me so much. I pray for every one on here.

hey anyone who is listening. march i stared my first ivf attempt and i got the news april 27th it failed. today is may 4th a week later and already starting to do another attempt. im afraid to fail again and it costs so much but it hink its so worth it. i'd give anything to have a baby of our own. i like to hear others stories and make my self feel better or reassurance that it does work and is possible. im going on vacation on the 20th to bahamas and i didnt think it was a great idea to go thru with the second so fast or before we go on vacation. im ust hoping for a miracle i dont no. nothing goes perfect and so far its no where near. i wanted to wait for my first attempt til after we got married and now i feel like i was asking for too much and too perfect. i guess i feel like im to blame but i need to pick myself up and think happy thoughts. its just so much. the cost, the injections hurt, the wait sucks then failure it really bummed me out. if anyone has anything to say to make me feel better i could use it. my story is too long i dont wanna bore anyone to type it all. well it was nice to vent a bit.

I don't want to tell DH... this is so hard ladies. I feel your pain of a BFN. I have went through 2 BFN's, one ER but embryo's didn't make it to day 5, no transfer, and one cancel cycle days before the ER. Doctor canceled because of only seeing 3 follies. I was on very high stims.
This cycle, with different doc, he used less injections and meds and I have responded great.. Go figure..
I just realized that we have been talking about, plus trying, since 2006! But, something good has come out of the 4 years during this, we have come closer to God. In which, pulled us (me and DH) closer to one another.

Amanda - I am so sorry about your BFN!
Natasha - it does work, but for some of us it doesn't work the first time (and sometimes not the 2nd or 3rd), but have faith and don't give up. I did my transfer on 4/16 and figured it wasn't going to work anyway so I did it knowing I was going on vaca 5/6. I wanted to get the FET out of the way so I could do a fresh cycle as soon as I got back. Well it did work! So far so good! Maybe this time will be your time also!

Angela - Beta is tomorrow again. This one will only be 48 hours from the last one. Usually they wait 3 days, but since my f/u is tomorrow and I am leaving Thursday I wanted to get it done tomorrow.

Debbie - I would definitely start testing at day 8. But don't get down if negative. I did not see a faint line til day 9.

So my mother just called and asked if I find out tomorrow. I have not told her about BFP because I don't want to get her hopes up if it's a miscarriage ir blighted ovum or whatever. I just tried to explain the whole beta number and how mine was low but has been doubling. She said, "oh so you'll find out tomorrow?" I tried to explain that technically I am pregnant and if I were someone who dud not do ivf and poas I would now consider myself pregnant and just be waiting for u/s. Totally over her head and she now figures that since I have not got my period it's a good sign....sigh! And this reminds me why I am not telling my mother in law anything anytime soon. Oh and my mom said my boobs look bigger so that's a good sign too!

I have my 3rd and final beta tomorrow. I know we go through more as IVF patients...most pregnant women get 1 test from their doctor and then they're pregnant. They don't get all these tests. I'm claiming my victory. Let's not wait & worry about MC...let's be excited we ARE pregnant!! Good luck tomorrow it will be great!!!

I tell you it won't show until tomorrow and so the one tomorrow you won't see it either but the following day you will. Just keep them girl I am hoping and praying for you. I am sure it's going to work.

Glad you are closer to God and your dh due to all of this it's amazing.

My RE says he is more excited than I am lol! He said he loves the 233 beta. He said I can't get today's result til tomorrow since it's late in day. I whined about it so he sent me to a different lab and asked for a rush. They are hoping to hear by 5 today. I hate waiting!!!!
