AFM – Well, I was finally able to get in contact w/ my high risk OB today. I have my first meeting w/ their nurse practitioner on May 17th, which includes another u/s and then my first appointment w/ the physician on June 14th. I am excited but so very nervous. I am happy that they are going to do another u/s when I arrive at the hospital.

Hazel – I love the family pictures. Your dogs are adorable. My DH and I keep talking about getting a dog for such a long time ... I like Labs, which he thinks are fine. We even had a fence put up last year and guess what? Still no dog ... lol.

Helene – I love the family pictures. Your kids are so darn cute.

Claudia – I love the birthday pictures! I hope you had a great time.

Stephanie – Thank you so much once again for the kind words. Your understanding brought tears to my eyes. I do hope one day I will have the confidence to register and finally enjoy this pregnancy!

Yes, I would definitely call and let them know about the headaches. Have you tested your blood pressure lately? Do you also have any ringing in your ears at all or trouble w/ your vision? It may be the fluctuations of your hormones causing the headaches or migraines but I think you should be evaluated just to make sure.

Lou – I can’t tell you how sorry I am. I don’t think I even have words to say what I want to say to you. The only thing I would like to say is that we will always be here for you if you ever want to talk, ok? It is so hard going through the loss of a child but I can say it does get easier. Please take the time to heal physically and emotionally.

I will post more later ... I am just to upset now!

Just wanted to let everyone know I've read all of your kind posts to me. DH & I have literally spent the day staring at the wall in almost complete silence except for a sniffle hear and there. We keep telling each other when one gets too down that this isn't the end for us & we can and will try again. It's you ladies who have given me strength. Katie with your repeated disappointment and then this miracle lands on you... Gi with her killer cells, but suffered 2 losses to discover the problem.... Angela who's signature tells a tale of heartbreak I can't even begin to understand... then Ryan & Tammy who just lost their dreams but are still here showing hope. And many, many others I've met along the way. This can't be the end for us. It's gotta just be a bump in the road. Many of you are proof of happiness after tragedy. I don't give up that easy. I will take time to mourn my "Jupiter" as DH called the spot on the 6w3d u/s. I definitely lost something I loved very much even if it was for a short time. But it odes me no good to mourn what this child might have been when there may be good reason for this demise. I hope I get my answers from the tissue analysis.

I'm starting to cramp and pass some old clots & brown blood. I hope it doesn't progress before I can have the d&c tomorrow. Which also terrifies me. I hope my body falls back into rhythm soon & my HCG drops rapidly so I can cycle again. I've made it my new goal to be pg again by the years end. I think that's a real possibility. So I may only fall 6-9 months behind you guys in the long run.

Many of you deeply affected me since last sept when I first cycled. I've learned so much here and feel like you are all my good friends. Thank you, thank you, thank you all.

lou - I think I just read one of the most moving posts I have ever seen on this site. Your strength, even at this awful time, is amazing. I know that you will get your miracle, it obviously just wasn't meant to be this time. I agree that the stories of the incredible women we meet on these threads show us that there is always hope, if only we can be strong and persevere. It will be your time soon. In the meantime, take time to grieve for what was, and what has happened, and make sure you and DH give each other lots of hugs. I only wish I was your side of the pond so I could come and give you a hug too.

Lots of love,

Stephanie- yes, tell your OB about your headaches. When I was at my OB appt on Monday I asked him about headaches...b/c last Sunday I woke up with a migraine and it lingered until Monday afternoon in various degrees. It was awful. He said I could take Tylenol according to the dosage recommendations. And if after few days it keeps coming back with alot of intensity to call him. Honestly, he said it is most likely hormones b/c this is very common during pregnancy. He hears it all the time. And the only next thing to do is stronger drugs or referral to a neurologist and/or CAT scan. He did recommend noticing the foods I ate and when the headache returned. Often there is a coorelation between food and triggers for headaches/migraines. Although I never had this issue before. Also, I saw my accupuncturist yesterday and she said the location and the kind of headache that I was describing to her are definitely hormone induced. Mine start on the right temple area and then as it intensifies it spreads to the entire front part of my forehead. It retreats in the reverse format. Thank goodness her treatment for it did help alot, b/c I was having residual pressure but not pain. I also read on one of my pregnancy websites that headaches are common in second/third trimester. But who knows really. It's so different for everyone. I just hope you feel better and get some relief!

Karen - Thanks for the info, it seems like it might be hormonal according to what you said. I don't understand why the woman who picked up the phone at the OB office sent me to the nurse hotline?? I have more questions then just should I get seen about my headaches, I want to know about naked time with this previa. It's been over a week since the last sign of spotting and I haven't played yet wondering if I can or not. Maybe it is a sign that I shouldn't. I should just accept that this pregnancy just won't allow me to do that. But then, even if I can't have sex, am I allowed to orgasm? These are things I need to know and I am not sure if the nurses (IF they ever call me back) will be able to answer me.

Angela - Glad you have your appts now. It will be exciting to see your little one again. I hope you do get to enjoy this pregnancy. I mean, you should be enjoying it every second, we all should. Each one of us has a story that holds us back. I think it takes more strength to be happy for us particular brand of women. You will get there, soon I hope!

Gi - Glad everything went well at your appt. I read your post in the other forum, I wasn't sure at first why you would be posting there until I read it. You are so faithful to those friends by staying there and reading their stories when your last story was a sad one. That must have been hard, however I am sure that just like here, the bonds we make are indistructable. I will be thinking of you on Tuesday. I am so happy that you have made it to 12 weeks, just 28 more to go. :) So how was it to see your little one moving around in there? I teared up pretty good when I saw both of mine wiggling. :)

Lou - Still in my thoughts and you will remain there everyday!

Steph- I have been on "pelvic rest" since a bleed a month ago. My spotting has also stopped and I was scared to try and orgasm. I thought I would wait till my appt next tuesday but I couldn't. Hubby and I got a little frisky a few nights ago, no peitration but fun was had by all. So far no issues and no spotting but we are going to try to make it till the OB gives us the go ahead. I know how hard it is for you, I've not been able to have sex since December before the implantation. Total bummer, but worth it if I don't have anymore complications. The only thing that comforts me is that if this baby is ment to be it will be, and there is not much I can do to prevent anything bad from happening. So for now I'm going to try to follow doctors orders but your in my thoughts and I hope you get a green light soon.

Malya - Technically I have been given the go ahead. OB told me that as long as there was no sign of the spotting for a few days I could play. I asked, a week? He said no, just a few days. So I assumed 3-4 days, plus I am in the 2nd tri now so you think I would be ok. However, since he told me that, the doc who did my NT scan told me I had a previa, didn't tell me if it was complete or partial or anything. One of my friends had a complete previa and was told no play time so I am curious what I am allowed to do. I am just going to put it out of my mind I suppose. We have had some play time here and there, but it would be nice to be able to be more intimate. :)

The pain does ease but never goes away but are such a determined woman i know nothing will stop you from getting your precious little baby. Ivf can a cruel and devastating rollercoaster and some suffer more than others, i know that when i finally hold my precious little baby it will be worth Every tear shed. I dont know if you have noticed i still post on the May mummie site and i too said exactly the same as you did that i was only a few months behind them (sometimes we think alike!!) and Please God some day soon we will All be on the Parents after Treatment thread. You and dh are in my thoughts and prayers, there will be some tough days and weeks ahead but make sure you lean on each other and pull each other thro the dark days, be honest and open with each other and lots and lots of hugs xxxxx

Hi girls,

I am way behind (again!!!) to do many personells so i will only attempt a few that i remember.

hjw i am so glad you are home missed your posts!!!! Your "beach ball" bump is gorgous and the rest of you is so slim!! Your dh must have been so excited and emotional to finally feel the baby move....what precious moments you wish you could capture forever.

Steph. 2nd trimester!!!!!! How is your dh doing, hopefully he is feeling a bit better.

Malya thankfully the spotting has stopped, even though you were told it was ok it prob. takes the life out of you everytime

Helene you have such a nice family, what a cute photo and your little boy is adorable. Do you mind my asking the condition he has ( i forget the name) what does that entail for him in the future, i know nothing about these things.

Claud loved the pink leg warmers!!! You and dh look so happy together, how cute!!

Katie i have never had my progesterone level checked and i am to stay on it till end of week 16. I hope you finally get released soon

AFM so i had the nerve racking 12 wk scan yesterday and our little miracle is perfect!!! It was emotional to watch, he/she was asleep but looked absolutly gorgous with its little arms and legs and button nose :D It was measuring 12wks 4 days as of yesterday so 2 days ahead, they dont measure heartbeats but it was high. The scan was very quick not by my OB she will post me out a new appt for few wks time with OB. I am to stay on progesterone till end of 16wks and aspirin till 32 wks. Finally we started telling people yesterday and do you know what it has made me so nervous!!! I suppose now everyone knows i am pg plus our ivf journey and theres no going back, and typical me i even said to j maybe i will relax after Next scan.....i keep saying that you would think i would be ok now!! I am more confident (i think!) but still nervous and prob. will be to the very end but i suppose we are all like that.

Gi-I'm so happy that your scan went well yesterday!!! It must have been a huge relief but I totally get only feeling temporary relief!! I am the same way-I have an apointment today and that will probably get me through the weekend and then I will get nervous all over again!!!

Hazel-You and your husband are a gorgeous couple! both so tall and skinny (even with your beach ball belly!!!) I am glad you had a nice time in India even with the volcanic ash!!

Steph=hope your doctor gets back to you today...I have had no fun either since before the transfer with my spotting...I was told to wait til second trimester so hoping my spotting goes away soon!!

AFM...I go to the obgyn apt at 3:40 and I CAN'T WAIT to see baby Flick. I have been feeling very nervous the past few days so I just want to see him/her squirming around and hear the h/b! Iwill fill you in afterwards.

Lou – I have been thinking about you all day. I hope you and your DH are doing ok today. I know it is hard but try to be there for each other.

Karen – I am sorry to hear about your headaches also. I am happy you were able to receive some relief from your acupuncture.

Stephanie – I am so happy that you haven’t had any spotting for awhile! I also hope you get your questions answered soon. Thanks so much for the words of encouragement. It is truly a daily process for me. I am taking this pregnancy one day at a time.

Malya – I hope you are doing well today.

Gi – I am so glad your 12 week scan went well. That is so exciting!

Claudia – I hope you u/s went well today. I can never have too many u/s ... lol.

Helene – I saw on the other site that you and your family will be busy, busy packing and moving. Good luck to you guys!

AFM – I had a pretty good day today at work. I have decided to tell some of physician offices that I am pregnant because I am starting to show. I have noticed that they keep looking at my stomach … lol. So I feel impelled to say something. Also, a lot of my doctors’ where there for me emotionally when I lost Ashley so they are absolutely thrilled for me, but they do understand why I am so scared at the same time. They have been great support for my DH and I.

Just got back and all looks good with Flick!! It measured exactly 10w4d and was moving all around! She also checked my cervix and said my spotting was all old blood which is good! Still no excercise or "fun" until all the spotting stops!
