Good morning ladies!

How are you doing? Yeah, I know it's Monday... but it's one more week we get to spend chatting with each other, right? isn't that grrrreat?

How was your weekend, sweetie, are you feeling a little less sore? I know those days after ER are tricky... really, tylenol, a warm bottle, TV or a book or anything that keeps me busy, and the yoga pose, are all things that help. Well, technically, we'll want to wait until we see a heartbeat. Now we know that my cervix is very fragile, meaning that a simple dildocam exam will make it bleed a tiny bit. So now we know it's not the end of the world if I see some bleeding. Last time we were on quarantine for the whole first trimester because the silly doctors at my clinic only did a dildocam exam when I reported bleeding, no one bothered to check my cervix!!!! Can you believe that? And when I had my first ob-gyn pregnancy apt, it's the first thing she checked and that,s when we knew that my cervix could bleed at the slightest pinch... which is completely harmless of course. GEE! Wish we'd known that earlier! Yeah, the dreams are hard to control, you bet! So far so good, through, I had such a busy weekend that I've been quite tired. Tiredness does help temper the libido, lol!

Hi there! LOL how often do you get to hear that, "I want to stab myself with a needle so bad!" LOl we're IVF JUNKIES!!!!! WOW 3 months off, that's amazing! What do you do for a living? Any plans for the vacation? OH MY GOD, but 1,400$ to freeze embies is just STEALING!!!!!!!!! Our clinic charges 200$ a year!!!!! ARE THEY OUT OF THEIR MINDS?!?!?! Ooooooh that makes me soooo angry! On another note... yAAAAAAAY for finishing grad school! CONGRATULATIONS! Hehehehe here's the explanation for the time off! Hehehe well, the least I can say is that I really hope you get your graduation gift!

WOOHOO, 6 embies! That,s great!!!!Wow, a day 5 transfer... must be SO hard to wait and wonder how they're doing... Two more days until the transfer, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Embies, you divide and keep warm, mommy will be there in a matter of days! Be patient and do your job!!!!! Lucky you for the farmer's market, I'm jealous. Believe it or now, we had SNOW yesterday, it was unbelieveable.... Soooooooo? Is your butt looking like a war zone yet? Did the tips help?

oh, I'm sorry to hear about your brother!!! Wow, is he very young? How did the shots go? I completely understand the feeling... you're happy because things are moving, and anxious because it might mean a BFN coming your way... *HUGS* hang in there!!!!

Hi there sweetie! Oh dear, what's a folliculitis infection?!?!?!?! Doesn't the "follicle" part make you nervous? I guess it has no link, but still... thank God the cream and antibiotics are working... Wow, the u/s seems far away, but we'll keep you entertained until then!

AFM, nothing much to report. My family spent the weekend with us and we had a lot of fun. I made two fondant cakes with my sister, one for the babysitter (my first order) and one for my son. We were quite happy with the results and got great reviews from my family. I took tons of pics but I don't have them with me, I'll upload them as soon as I can and give you the link. I keep thinking that implantation is occuring right now, and I'm sending lots of loving thoughts to my embies. I would really be amazed if we have twins, but you never know... and the weirdest thing keeps happening, I keep feeling kicks!!! Just like the very first kicks you feel during the second trimester and you're not sure if it's really that or something else... wow, the power of the mind!

Sophie...I'm a teacher-19 more days with my 6th graders and then I get to send them off to the junior high! I am taking the entire month of June to myself (and hopefully my baby!) and the. Nannying in july and august for some extra money. I have watched this little girl every summer since she was born and now she is 5! It will be nice to have a month to work on being a good home for my little embryos! Well, I hope the wait isn't killing you yet! Hang in there

Today is the day of transfer! I can't believe it! I can hardly breathe. I hope they tell me the good news that all 3 embies are perfect little ones and we will put all 3 back in! I can't believe that this evening I will be PUPO! I really wanted to try and relax a bit about it but no luck. Anywho, my bum is so sore I can't sit, any other tips for PIO? The shots themselves don't hurt at all, I put a heating pad for a long time after. But about half a day later, huge hard bumps and sooooo painful! I don't know how to manage this... keep the baby in mind, keep the baby in mind...
I am also so worried we won't be able to afford another cycle should this one not... ok this one WILL work, nothing but PMA, repeat after me, nothing but PMA!!!

PMA - You are right about at least knowing what to expect this time around makes a little less scary. How was your mother's day? I am so glad you had a fun weekend, did you manage to stay put? Are you doing the pineapple thing? Can't wait to see the pics! Cute you said you feel them kick, maybe they are all getting cozy in there... triplets?

kiz- ER next week - woohoo! it is nice to have a date or something to aim for, I hope your rash gets better, those meds really mess you up in more ways than we know!

Hopefully our 3 little ones are thriving and go back in mommy! 2 more days and you are PUPO!!! great numbers by the way, sounds like you will have your pick of some super duper embies to transfer and maybe freeze? That would be super, how many you thinking of transfering? How did your PIO go? My doc prescribes a lido cream that makes it so you don't feel the shot at all, after is my issue...

bei - did the ticker thing work? Are you better from cramps?

lisa - thank you for your prayers, you are so sweet! We need to keep thinking that yes we can get lucky twice! How is your brother? How are you feeling on your meds?

nfd - I think I still had my period on day 3 of stimms so I am pretty sure it is fine! I was on follistim also, are you on menopur? thank you for the good wishes!


One more question, they want me to empty my bladder one hour before and then drink water to have a full bladder for transfer, then lay there for 30 min still. Last time I was dying to go use the bathroom and very uncomfortable, does your RE ask the same?

Grrr..........I wrote a nice long post this morning and included personals for everyone and it didn't post!! Arg! So, I'll do an abridged version...

Hope you all survived this past Mother's Day; I know it can be a difficult time.

I got a great present this Mother's Day weekend: my period on Friday! Yeah! So we are officially starting this FET cycle. Got my estrodial shot in the butt last night. The transfer is scheduled for 5/27 @ 1:30pm. How many days after that do you do the beta?? My hubby is supposed to go on a trip the weekend of 6/5 and I'm worried that he'll be out of town when we have the beta and I don't think I'll be able to handle it alone.

Rio: good luck w/ the transfer! 3 is great!!
PMAPsy: Hope the FET went well! Were you worried putting 3 in??
Rypell: Congrats on graduation!! And the extra moo-lah from the math seminars. Isn't funny how extra money is now thought of in how much of a IVF cycle it would cover? (I always remind myself of that when I'm tempted to go shopping.)
Purple: Yeah! Glad that all 6 fertilized.
Kizmet: Hope the nasty rash goes away. As if the shots aren't enough of a pain.

Oh, and I got two ohter great Mother's Day presents (I hope this doesn't upset you all): my little boy slept in until 8:30!!! he's usually up by 6:30 most days!! AND he said 5 new words, doubling his vocabulary (he was a little behind): poop (ug), please (aw), water, fish, and my personal favorite: hummus!

DCRunningMama - looks like our sons are the same age. Mine was born 11/08 too. He says a new word everyday and I LOVE it. He does like to say "poop" alot...and I think it is funny. Yeah for AF coming and your FET cycle getting under way.

Rio - I'm sending tons of PMA your way. I am thinking of you today and hope the transfer goes well (I hope all 3 made it).

Purplefish - I hope the PIO shot went ok...I hate that part the most.

PMA - I am sending baby dust vibes your way and hope that implantation is happening right now.

Kizmet - I'm glad to hear the rash is clearing up.

AFM - Thank you for all your concern for my brother. He is doing much better. It appears that one of his arteries got a tear in it. The doctors don't know how it happened, but then the area clotted up with blood, which caused the heart attack. Good thing it clogged, or else he could have bled out. They put a stint in the artery and the remaining three look good. He should be good as new in about a year. My lupron shot went off without a hitch. I didn't even feel it...since I numbed it with ice first. Still need to take bcp through the weekend and can't wait to be off the stuff, since it makes me feel sick. But I am excited to have moved onto the next step. I am trying to catch up to the rest of you guys!

just a quick post then more tonight.

rio- I hope everything went well. Two tips to help with the bottom shots, I was not sore at all from last night. I used the heating pad for 15 minutes both before and after. I also stuck the oil in my bra to warm it up for about 15 minutes before giving the shot too.

Rio - Hope all went well.

PMA - I hope you are really, really tired because of sticky embs! And folliculitis is to do with the hair follicles thankfully, not ovary follicles, which is good! It's almost completely gone now.

Got my BW results back yesterday afternoon and am assured everything is going textbook perfect! Yay! Bring on Friday and a big pile of follicles! DH is being great still. He's so excited now and talking about baby number 2 already (and here I was thinking one was enough)! LOL - slow down MR! Let's get the first one to start with!

I posted a reply this morning but for some reason I cannot find it.

Sorry I haven't been able to post much. I try to catch up every couple of days but just no time to post.

My FET cycle was cancelled Their was fluid in my lining (never heard of that before). So the doctor drained that today and did a saline ultrasound to make sure everything else was okay. He thinks I was taking too much estrogen.

So now on Provera and will wait until AF arrives to start my next cycle. This time.. less estrogen.

I think my transfer will be at the beginning of June.

Good Luck to everyone and I will be checking for all of those BFP's.
IVF works.. I have a 20 month old son to prove it. THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS

Bei - you're such a sweet heart for putting up these updates! It really helps me keep a track of where everyone is up to! And look at how that PUPO list is starting to grow! Hopefully those PUPO's will turn to BFPs in no time!

riogirl71 - my RE said I should have a "partially full" bladder which was Ok until they put that ultrasound on top of my stomach and pushed on my bladder haha! I did have to lay still for 30 minutes afterwards which my husband felt the need to say "at least you get to lay down - you could take a nap" - yeah right! Like I said, this time it all went much faster so the time flew by!!!

GOOD LUCK everyone - the 2ww is stil chuggin' along - I hate my job, so I'm working on that since the stress can't help anything:( I'm ready to test to see what it says but I know I shouldn't - I should have my beta this weekend - called the nurse yesterday so hopefully she'll call me back sometime soon...she usually calls back the next day so hopefully today I'll know when we should go in!

Baby dust to everyone - and hope the 2ww is driving the other half of you crazy!!!
