Hey everyone, Franca is devastated so is not coming back here too much but she asked if people who want to can join up with her on facebook here is the name she uses: Franca Bongiorno Roberts

Let me know if you need a link or something.

steph - very interesting about blood cord banking I will take a look for sure. Glad you are finally getting some answers and you are having fun.

Hope you had fun at your party, was everything ok? Sorry about the brat that was there and the non-sense father. That's why we get people brats later... what an idiot!!!

Karen - so sorry you are having some bad days dear. Glad you are adding stuff to help in your diet.

hjw - the move was kinda of a mess. couldn't just sit back no though?? thanks for asking dear.

once you hit 6 months dear you will love to start ready. Just make sure you are not too tired though cause it can ruin the fun. Passed 6m sometimes gets hard on us ladies :)

Katie - you got everyone, I counted the other day and we are 24 on the list. It's just that the list is being devided now... Unfortunatly. I am so sorry for everyone.

Sara - Rayofsunshine - I hope you had a happy Mother's Day also and so did everyone else here carrying their little one... It must have felt pretty special for some of you for the first time :) Congrats!!!

AFM - The move was not that great. The movers moved everything they could on Friday while I was at work but did NOT put the boxes where they go. My dh complained that I should have taken a day off, well someone's got to pay for that move!!! And being there would not have changed anything I would have been in the way.

So he doesn't like the house. He politely put it this way: "It's cozy isn't it!". And added there is mold here and downstairs (where his DS is sleeping) is so bad his eyes are blood shot!... So I said well let him sleep upstairs we can double the boys and he said no (he doesn't like to see him upstairs cause he is kinda messy and a bit dirty). So he added that his shower doesn't work downstairs and the landlady only told us after we signed everything actually the day we got the place. So dh want's to knock off $100 off the lease... that would be good.

So of course I was working very hard and surely lifting too much, trying to becareful but couldn't really help it though. At one point I told dh he had to move some (very very heavy) furniture and the way he looked at me he was expecting ME to move it with him... I said "duh!! I can't lift this, where is your son" (he is 17 and super strong). Well he simply replied that he left to go spend time with is friends... I flipped. I mean come one didn't he see the house and that we could use some extra hands. He is so lazy and has no sense of responsibilities. He is very quiet but is so NUMB I mean... how smart do you have to be to see we needed help... so I told dh to call him and he went to get him... I could not believe it.

So of course my dh didn't expect me to just sit there so I worked really hard on Friday and then Saturday morning but then I broke my back... and was stock could not move... I had to ask the kids to get dh and help me get back up... so that was it for the heavy lifting and working I was stock on the cough ALL weekend.

So dh went to music with the kids Sat moning (silly don't know why he didn't cancel that weekend) anyways so I was left alone with the 4 and 6 yo. But since I was broken I told them I was going to lay down upstairs with baby and not to fight or bother me too much. So I could hear them play, fight and everything then nothing!!! The next thing I hear is some adult outside very close to our house and talking to kids... (my kids). So I hurd the bell ring and go downstairs as fast as I can and with a lot of pain and then the POLICE shows up entering my house with the kids. I asked what is going on and the kids wanted to go play outside (remember the great park across the street). So although they were told not this weekend they though they could sneek outside (we didn't have the handle protection yet and dh had FORGOTTEN to luck the door after he left WHICH HE NEVER DOES) So they were able to open the door to go out but were NOT able to come back in. The door is so hard to open even I have a hard time coming in...

So the police told me they were sitting outside on the balcony and were not able to get back in. I asked why they didn't ring the bell and they answered they didn't want to wake me up!!! UGGGRRR!!! So anyways because the kids were out just a sec (the police was at the park just filling out paperwork and so were just in front of our house and a neighbourg walking is dog went to tell him).

So once he left, withough making a report (thank God). I asked the kids if it was better to ring the bell for me to let them in or get the police to do it for them!!! They said wake ME up... So anyways I was so sore I just layed on the cough AFTER I locked the door. I really don't understand cause my dh is always so careful in locking all doors when he leaves I guess he had a lot in his mind...

the next day was Mother's day and dh had great plans but failled at all of them... so the kids were exited to give me the stuff they made so that was fun... My dh did get flowers (pot) and my favorite cake though so that was nice. I said all if wanted or MD was that he comes to church (which he complained afterwards like he always does) and that we watch a movie. So we did that... He had planned bacon and eggs for breakfast and was hoping to tempt me not going to church by making me breakfast but I said it's ok I don't want to be late to Church... so I missed that...

Sorry this is so long I just had to vent. Hope everyone had a great Mother's day with your lo inside you all.

Hugs.

Helene

Helene,

sorry to hear you are having such a hard time of it. The police ringing your doorbell probably scared you to death!

Katie,

my next OB appt is 5/21 and I am guessing they will have me scheduled my 3-D u/s to check for birth defects somewhere around the 17th or 18th week.

Claudia,

love to see the belly pics, too chicken to take any of me!

Stephanie,

glad to hear your/your neighbors BBQ went well, other than the little bugger child. It never ceases to amaze me how some people let their kids get away with all kinds of stuff, even at other people's houses!

Hazel,

you are gorgeous!!!! Love the pics of your tummy!

afm, m/s is still here. I tried to go without my Zofran this weekend just to see if m/s was easing off any. No such luck. I am almost out of Zofran and have no refills. Will probably end up calling RE's nurses and see if they will call me some in, otherwise I will call OB nurses. Been having nasty headaches everyday, ugh!

Claudia - That's awesome you got to tell your family on Mother's Day! I bet that was a wonderful feeling! Your NT scan will turn out perfect and just be a wonderful way for you to see your baby jumping all over the place! :) Yeah, the kid was a hell raiser no thanks to his parents... I didn't mention that his mother was here too and she was no better. I actually caught her throwing food in my yard that her kid dropped instead of walking the 10 feet inside to the garbabge can. Where do these people come from?? There was a lot more too, what I mentioned was just the tip of the iceberg. Andrew and I are still talking about how much it bothered us.

Helene - Wow.. your weekend was an eventful one. I understand venting, we all have to from time to time. I hope your back feels better! I know all too well how things need to get done, but you need to take it easy. I did too much with my first baby and my placenta ruptured. I was lucky and was full term... I was trying to get the nursery ready in time which included ripping the ceiling out and putting a new one in, new floors, painting, putting furniture together, etc. There is a good reason why they tell preggers not to lift over 10 pounds!! So.. no matter what kind of looks your DH gives you, he needs to understand that you just can't! Call friends, make the older kids help. It won't get done right away, but it will get done. As far as the mold, that is what got us approved to move out of the old place! Mold is a serious issue and can cause serious health risks to everyone in your home including you little baby depending on the type of mold! The landlord is required by law to get rid of it. If the landlord refused, you are not obligated to pay rent. What you do is pay rent into an account and tell the landlord that they don't get paid until the issues are fixed. This is legal! He/she cannot evict you! 100 off of rent would be nice on the pockets, but won't be worth the risks it can cause to your family.

Ronda - My gosh! I can't believe how this m/s has such a hold over you. It must be awful, but good to know how strong your little one is growing in there. lol I have a full bottle of Zofran, I got it after my first ER visit.. almost used it a few times but held off and tried to get through it on my own. My m/s never got that bad, it was just bad when I needed to eat so I would just eat to make it stop. I hope you get to feel relief shortly! I have been having bad headaches almost everyday for over 2 weeks now. Not much I can do for that but load up on Tylenol and take a few doses.

I hope everyone's Mommy Day was a great one. We are pretty broke right now with having to save every penny for twin stuff. lol So all I got was a Chipotle borrito which I loved!! I am not complaining, we never really do much. Of course, Andrew is usually deployed every other April. lol That is a big part of it. :) I tried to get some Mommy dad booty, but uhh... the trigger went off way too fast. Afterwards I asked Andrew if next time I could have sex too. He laughed. lol I guess that is just a risk you take when you don't get fun time in a long time. Oh.. for those of you who may remember me telling you a while back that Andrew is adopting my daughter, well we go through the last stage tomorrow which is the home study. It isn't really a home study though. Since it is a step parent adoption they don't require a home visit, all we have to do is go in as a family to her office and talk for an hour. I assume she will require some one on one time with DD and that's it. So we should have the final papers signed before or by her birthday which is June 3rd, she will be 11! She wanted to be a Ford by then. :) It's pretty exciting... she hasn't liked having a seperate last name. She started asking at 7 years old because she wasn't feeling like a true part of the family having to tell people her last name was different then ours. Even explaining to her that a name doesn't make a family, she only grew to more hate her last name more and more. I am just lucky my ex was willing to see that he isn't a father and doesn't know how to be and sign his rights away. I am sure the agreement not to go after back child support helped a lot. lol Whatever gets it done I guess. Anyway... thanks for listening. I hope to start seeing those girls that haven't been on much due to m/s back soon and chatting. It should be releasing it's hold by now I hope!

Well its been the worst day for me - I lost my elderly Great Dane (Cassie) this morning. I took her out and she collapsed in the driveway having what i thought was a seizure. I held her up as long as I could, and then let her rest on the ground. I tried to get her up twice more but she was just too weak. So I brought her bed outside and had to lift her 150 lbs onto it. Of course I was home alone and she went between hyperventilating and seizing. It was awful. My DH was already at work and not one of my neighbors was home, of course. So I sat with her the whole time after calling my DH to please come home which thankfully he was able to. But i had plenty of time to say goodbye while waiting for help for 2 hrs alone. My DH carried her to the car and the vet said he thinks it was a stroke that she had in my arms, so there wasnt much choice but to let her go peacefully. Yes, she was a dog, but she was the same as a child to me for all those years
At least she is at peace now and I'll be telling myself all day that doggie Heaven is a beautiful place. I dont mean to bring the thread down, but didnt want to be MIA without letting you all know what was going on with me. I know it was the right thing to do, but it hurts so much. I'll try to check in later if I dont fall apart before then but most likely i'll see you all tomorrow - hopefully I'll be able to function by then - thanks for listening - xoxoxo

Katie - OMG how awful! I dread the day I have to go through that with my baby Rizzo! Her being lost broke my heart so badly, what you had to go through is so so so much worse. I am glad DH was able to make it home but staying there alone for 2 hours must have been so painful. The good thing is that you were with her in her last hours and able to let her go peacefully and release her from any pain. I know how our pets are like children for some of us that is all the children we have had until our babies are born. Take your time to heal, I am sure it will take some time. We are here to lean on. Much love to you! May Cassie rest in peace!

steph - wow amazing that your family will now be unified with adoption. Congrats. Me it's the other way around my DD had our last name (married name) and now she takes her dad's name and refuse to even take mine.

As for the mold I don't think it's mold. I think it's because the shower leeks downstairs. The landlady wrote a note not to use it cause it leeks when you use it... so maybe it's causing some mold but I don't think it's enough to cause health hazzards or else he would have told us NOT to unpack. Plus his son had no problem with his eyes I think it's just him exagerating again. We'll see but I did meantion NOT to pay the rent until it is fixed... they have our first and last months so we will surely make sure it's ok. Thanks for the tip though.

Katie - my God I am so sorry about what happened and the way it happened... Wow what a great pain of such loved pet. I am sorry and I hope you will get better.

I had one pet dies on me once. A big coley dog, I was 8 or so and it was winter and I had skates on so he went and cross the busy road and when I tried to cross this crazy care came out of nowhere so my dog not seeing me behind him turned around and tried to come back to reach me but the car hit him... I will never forget that either. Our heart just goes with them... never another was able to replace him.

Helene – Oh dear, you poor lady. You had a weekend that could be in a soap opera. I am so sorry that your move was so very stressful. I know what you mean about the back pain. My lower back was absolutely killing me today when I woke up that I didn’t think I would make it to work today. My sciatic nerve is really hurting but I had this problem during my last pregnancy and it only got worse as the pregnancy progressed.

I sure hope you finally got your son to help out w/ moving everything. Your 4 and 6 year old are absolutely hilarious and too cute. They locked themselves out and didn’t want to wake mommy! Well, at least they half way listened … lol. They went outside without permission but they didn’t wake you. (Smiles). I surely hope today was better for you and your back is feeling better!

But, I also agree w/ Stephanie, you have to get your landlord to get rid of that mold. She is obligated by law because it can make you and your kids very, very sick. I would contact her ASAP. Ok, I saw you next post, they sell kits that allow you to test yourself or your landlord has to pay for someone to come in and test to see if it is at hazardous levels.

Sara – it was good to hear from you. I hope you had a great weekend!

Claudia – I am so excited to hear about your weekend … that is so very exciting to be able to share your news with your family!

Ronda – I am so very sorry that you are still having the terrible nausea. I was thinking about you over the last week and I wanted to let you know of something that helped me out a lot w/ my last pregnancy. My manager suggested Preggie Pop drops for me and they really helped out a lot. Here is a summary of the Preggie Pops:

*****Preggie Pops offer relief via a combination of essential oils, aromatherapy and our unique delivery system. In addition, our Preggie Pops alleviate dry mouth, provide quick calories and energy during labor, and are an overall soothing and comforting way to address the needs of pregnant women. Preggie Pops are also drug free and healthcare provider recommended.****

You can buy them at Walgreens or any other store but I bought them at a maternity clothing store. They also sell the suckers as well. I sure hope something helps you. I also have noticed that ginger has helped me also. Someone previously told me about ginger and I bought some ginger snaps and it really helps also. I also wanted to tell you that my manager just had a baby a few months ago and she had to be hospitalized because she couldn’t stop throwing up so they put her meds but she also tried those wrist bands that are supposed to help w/ nausea and she said it helped.

Stephanie – that is so great that your DH is adopting your daughter. I know she will be so very excited. I am so happy to hear that you and your DH are enjoying each other. Also, great advice about not lifting over 10 lbs. your story definitely puts everything back into perspective for me and I will be sure to remember it throughout my pregnancy.

Katie – I am so sorry to hear about Cassie. That is absolutely awful. My DH and I were just talking about getting a dog but I told him I couldn’t stand it if anything happened to him or her. They are just like family. So your feelings are so understandable! Please take your time to heal and we will be here for you. Again, I am so sorry, what an emotional day for you! I am sending you a big hug!!!

Gi – Congrats on buying the maternity clothes. You have to be comfy right?

AFM – I am anxious to see my little one tomorrow during my u/s. Please pray for me that my baby is still progressing like he/she is supposed to.

Hi Everyone! Sorry, I've been off the board nearly a week and I just can't believe everything that has happened.

Lou- I sat and read your story with complete shock and sadness. I am so very, very sorry. You are an amazing woman, and though I'm sure that doesn't help, it's true. I wish you all the best and pray that the tissue results reveal something you need for your future pregnancies. Prayers for you.

Franca - If you do jump back on here, please know I am so sorry for you as well. I was so sad to hear you had miscarried. My prayers are with you also.

Steph - So happy your DH is able to adopt DD! You are right in that you are so lucky your ex signed over his rights. So many more people need to do that when they are not at all involved, and I can never understand why. How wonderful that it will be done so soon!

Gi - congrats on 12 weeks and a great scan!

Claudia - So glad you got to see Flick again and that everything is going well!

Katie - Oh no, I am sorry about your dog. I haven't been very attached to a pet since I was a child, but my sister has three dogs who are her babies. I know she would be so heartbroken over losing them.

AFM - I had a great girls weekend in St. Augustine with my BFF and another close friend. The spa, the beach, eating out, attempting to sleep in (yet still waking up between 6:45-7:15 both mornings when my kids are usually up), but not having to get out of bed. Oh, and my BFF and I (we went a day earlier than our other friend) got locked out on the balcony for an hour Friday morning! HA! We were staying at her MIL's beach house, and apparently didn't realize the door had locked behind us. After several attempts to get people to call a locksmith, then the promise one was coming and NO ONE did, a maintanence worker from the next complex threw us a screwdriver and BFF jimmied the lock. JUST in time for our spa appts! HA!

I stopped spotting a few days after finding the blood clot, then started yesterday a little. I've have some spotting the last two days, but nothing major and definitely nothing compared to what happened last week! I had my 11 week u/s this morning and DH and I brought DD with us (DS was at preschool). Can I get a HOLLA!! for abdominal u/s?!! She LOVED seeing the babies and tried talking to them (a little game she and I play). They both had hr of 158 and both measured 11w1d, so right on target. Baby B started out a few days behind, but has definitely caught up! The bleed has also gone down, from 5.5cm to 4.1 in a week. Yay! So I am praying it's completely gone by my next u/s in 4 weeks. Oh, and I am officially off the progesterone! Asked my OB about staying on baby aspirin until 14 weeks (like RE said), and he shrugged and said we really don't know if it will do any good, but I can certainly stay on it if I want. So I will. Why not, you know?

Also, I got my home fetal heart doppler last week and was able to find a hb right away! I've used it 4 times, and only once I couldn't find it. The other times I found a hb within minutes. I think having twins helps, because one is usually turned the right way. I'm never sure if I can hear one or both, but just hearing it is good enough for me.

Babyluv - Thank you so much for the well wishes tomorrow. I love that your DD was able to see the babies … it brought a smile to my face to read she was talking to them. That is so very precious!

I am glad your vacation went well except for the balcony incident. But, you ladies are certainly resourceful … lol.
