steph - it is so exiting about the adoption of you DD. She must be over the wall :) sorry about all your prescriptions problems, what a drag.

AFM - Ladies thank you very much for the tea advice and specially the "Fifth Desease" blood work. I did it this morning and waiting for results. What a shame it would be to loose my baby just cause of a silly infection. My oh my. I am trying to stay positive but kinda worried a bit. Funny a few days ago something happend to me. I was sitting (on the lo) and all of a sudden I though I was going to passout. Don't know what happened but good thing I was sitting, I because very sweaty all of a sudden as if my body was fighting something and and after all the sweat I got so cold and freezing, I really though I was going to pass out and vomit or something... It lasted about 10 min... so I just went to bed and that was it?? Could that be the reaction to the Fifth desease? I mean I never even hurd of this before only once on the mailing list one month ago. So how can I be immune if I didn't even know about it and my kids never had it?? My DD definitly has it the redness is spreading all over and so I mean my other kids will get it too for sure... just wonder if the baby is ok?? Wow amazing all those things coming out...

So my other genetic test came back and they said it's a BOY!!! So well now I am in a dillamma but it's ok... I will still think it's a girl and will see at the u/s at the anatomy scan :) As long as I don't loose it and he/she is healthy would be great... I am praying ...

Helene,

Angela gave you good info on Fifth Disease. I am the one that it was going around my daughers pre-school. I also was tested for Fifth's and was immune. I don't remember ever having it and neither does my mom remember me having it, but obviously I did THANK GOD. With the number of kids you have I am guessing you may have had it in the past, in adults it is often just like a really bad case of the flu (so its never diagnosed as Fifth's Disease). I am keeping my fingers crossed that you are immune also!

Katie,

I am so sorry about your Cassie. I have been there with a few of my pets and its so hard. They are FAMILY. We had to make the decision last Fall to put down our 12 year old German Shepherd, he was having trouble getting around and lost control of his bladder. I was so afraid to let him go into the winter, afraid he would go out the doggy door and fall down and not be able to get back up and have to lay there till someone got home. My DH always called him my caboose, he was always trailing behind me where ever I went. So I am still crying even typing about this, so I totally understand how you feel.

Claudia,

hope you are feeling better and it will be great to be able to spill the beans about your pregnancy!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

oh so it's you Ronda that told us about it. Ok so I feel better now. Just checking online for symptoms and really I had none of them. I never get the flu, didn't get sore anywhere so hopefully I am immune also. Can't wait to get the results.

I hope everyone is doing good today.

Katie- I'm so sorry to hear about Cassie. My DH and I know your pain and sorrow. Just be good to yourself and know that doggie heaven is a wonderful place! Big hug to you.

I haven't been writing much. I'm feeling super tired lately and just need to rest. I am taking iron and man oh man...constipation city! UGH! I return to the OB on Monday. Can't wait to see them and how much they have grown! My belly is definitely popping out. If someone can tell me how to post a pic, I'll do it. I started to pick up random clothing that I found on sale at Carter's for the babies. Just comfy stuff they will lay around in all day! And starting to work on clearing out the room that will be the nursery little by little. So much to do and I don't have the energy to do it all in a couple of days. It's just be a miscellaneous room for 5 years!

Seems like everyone is doing well and healthy. Thank goodness. Before we know it our little bundles of joy will be here! Big hug to all!

Glad to see you are doing ok too. Nice to see you are getting the nursery going :) must be fun.

To post a picture just click on the "Img" button at the top of the post and put the URL of the picture. The url is where the pictures would be so you would need to post it on photobucket or somewhere else to get that done.

Hope that helps.

it's quiet here today... no news good news I guess.

Hi everyone -

I wanted to thank all of you for your kind words and support for my loss. They relly meant alot to me. It will get a little easier each day. Even my puppy (Gracie 1yo mastiff) is grieving, she keeps looking for Cassie all over the house & yard, then lays down with her paws under her head and lets out a big sigh. Heres a odd tidbit, I have done so much crying while on my cell phone that I managed to fry the screen - I didnt think you could do that. I sure hope that Verizon can save the phone book part!
So I'm pulling it together slowly. it still hurts but at least now I can sort of function.

Hey, BTW I was finally officially released from my RE yesterday - at 16wks no less. Have any of you guys received a giant packet from the hospital you will deliver at filled with mountains of forms and an overwhelming amount of info yet? I got this huge packet yesterday urging me to fill out all these forms now and not to wait! Jeez- I think this "maternity consultant just likes to keep her desk clear  Anyway they want all these answers that I dont have yet
( guess they dont realize that ivf women tend to be more cautious  ) They want to know if I'll breast feed and if so -
1- how often should they supplement with formula during the night?
2- with formula or glucose water?
3- How many times should they wake me up during the night?

Are they serious with these questions?
But wait theres more - they want an answer on cord blood right away (and you are responsible for remembering to bring your "kit" with you when you go into labor)
They want me to book my birthing center tour - right now
And the one that irritated me so much that I put the whole packet down - We need the name of your pediatrician - right now
Ummm, I feel like calling this lady & telling her that I havent allowed myself yet to even take a peek at baby things, so to need answers like this - right now
isnt going to happen - oh, plus they even sent me the birth certificate booklet to send in - perhaps we can wait til AFTER DELIVERY on that one?
Oh and they also sent me an invite to a "baby & mommy" excersise class"
So far all they've succeeded in is making my head spin!

Much love to you all - xoxoxo

Katie, you package is just too funny. We also get a kit when we are about to give birth but not before week like 35 or something and it's just forms for the hospital so you don't have to stress out when you are in labor... that is silly.

Sorry your dog is missing his friend... that is too bad. Maybe with the new baby your dog will be ok and forget :)

Hugs

Good afternoon ladies!

Katie-I'm happy that you are able to begin to function but it will take time. Maybe a new puppy is what the doctor ordered?!?!? That is crazy you got those papers already!?!? It seems way to soon and I wouldn't stress over it

Helene-I have everything crossed you don't get Fifth's disease and your kids get better ASAP! So the gender predicted a boy?!?!?! What now????

Karen-glad to hear everything is good with you despite the symptoms. Good luck at your next apointment and I can't wait to hear the twins progress!!

Ronda-good to hear from you!!! How are you feeling? what's new?

gi-YAH for stopping your steroids! I bet you are sleeping through the night since you feel so relieved you are past the hump!!!

AFM...nothing really new. Yesterday I had bad acid reflex all day but I'm feeling better today-just a little tired again which I thought had passed!!! I took some more belly pics which I have to upload later but you ladies are slacking and I don't want to be the only one showing the belly bump!!! The belly is getting harder to hide so I just keep telling myself one more week till the secret it out!! I'm going to lunch with my BF and her 1-year old on Friday and she knows what I have been going through and although she "assumes" that I'm preggers I will officially announce to her which will be fun since we have been BF since we were 10 years old!!

Well it must be nice to see the bump :) mine is always there so noone will notice for another 4w for sure. I wear loose stuff all the time so can hide it pretty good :)

AFM - Well yes I am now lost!!! :) good thing God has sent me the Fifth to worry about so that's my main concern for today :) and a healthy baby no matter the gender... health is more important then anything.

You must be so exited about your pg... did you start your nursery yet? What color would you like to choose?

Because I am so lost today and not too busy I decided to go have lunch oh what a treat!!! I had a BLT with Cheese. I never eat at lunch, I mean not a meal. Just fruit or snacks etc so this was a treat with chocolate milk... too bad I can't do that too often... I would have had 2 if I let myself go :)

Claudia - Sorry yesterday was a poopy day with the acid reflux. I read your last post about belly bump pics, took a few and realized that my belly just hasn't made that big of a change. I only grew a couple cm so ot wouldn't look any different. I resorted to taking a new pic of my face though and posted it on facebook. lol It's the first one I took since being pregnant. I will have to get someone to take some pictures of me so I can show everyone how huge I look in maternity clothes.

Katie - Poor Gracie! Maybe when your heart is ready, you can get her a new companion to help make her feel better. Though I am sure it will never be the same. As for your book... I never got those ahead of time. I was always asked a lot of those things by the nurse during labor and the rest of those things I had to fill out after the birth. The only thing I had to bring to the hospital was my labor bag. :) Don't worry, just because you have this book, doesn't mean you have to fill it all out now. If you don't feel comfy doing it before you get to the hospital don't and if you forget to bring it to the hospital when you go into labor, oh well. They can provide you with a new one and DH can help you fill it out while you relax after baby is born! Most of the stuff they need to know before hand like cord blood can be asked during labor. Bottom line is, if you rack yourself trying to get it done and take it with you, I guarantee they will still ask you all those questions once you get there. Which of course will only make you angry since you took the effort to fill it out and they didn't even look at it. So... no more head spinning. :)

Karen - I am feeling the same way. I am thinking I am becoming anemic or something. I am tired all the time, I don't have the energy to do much of anything and even standing too long makes me feel funny and want to sit down or even lay down. Constipation is also an issue. Do you feel like your belly is getting pretty heavy already? I think I am already suffering from lack of exercise prior to being preggers because mine feels heavy already and I am not even halfway there yet! The rest of this ride will be interesting. lol

Afm, as you know yesterday was the interview and it went well. She asked DD what she called the guy behind her, she replied, "Daddy." and if she knew why she was there, she said to get adopted. Then was asked why she was being adopted and she said... because he is my dad! lol She said it in such a way like... it's natural, this is the way it is suppose to be silly! :) It was cute. Then we were asked a bunch of questions, poor Andrew felt on the spot and so nervous but he did well. At the end of the interview she looked at DD and told her she will be adopted soon so I suppose her report will be supportive. lol As for the meds... OMG! I think I am going to yell at them today. I called and got referred to the nurses once again. They never call me back! I wonder if they even check their messages. So I am going to tell them I will go to the hospital instead of the hospital's clinic if they don't start taking messages and have me called back same day for my concerns! To get my answers last time I had to call the hospital since the clinic didn't want to return my calls. Anyway... Walgreens never called me back so I am guessing they kept my script and didn't attach a name to it (since my doc didn't put my name on it) and now I won't even get my folate. I am so frustrated with this! Then last night I noticed that I am starting to swell already. I am only beginning my 2nd trimester, I shouldn't be swelling already!! I was able to get two rings off, the other three are stuck!! I am going to have to try to run my hands under cold water for a while and soap it up and hopefully get them off. Though I will feel naked without my rings. Maybe we can have them sized. Well, I guess that is about it. Time to call the clinic and get some answers!

steph - why are you swelling? It must be only temporary right? so you should not resize your rings... My I hope you get your meds soon what a drag.

Helene - Not sure why I am swelling so early. I shouldn't be swelling until the 3rd tri, but for some reason I am. I am drinking water. If I am swelling now, it will likely just get worse over the pg so getting my rings off and resized now is best if I want to wear them. Andrew is picky about me wearing my wedding rings. He gets upset if I forget them after cleaning them. lol I also wear my mom's wedding ring and I don't want to take that off. I started to wear it for the last transfer hoping it would bring me good fortune and it has. So I fear taking it off now. lol Silly I know, but true. Also on the other hand I have an aniversary ring and the original diamond from my wedding ring before my DH upgraded my main diamond to a full carat. So each ring means something pretty special. :) I am hoping with the headaches and the swelling it isn't signs of preeclampsia. That is the last thing I need!! :(

But Steph, what will you do if the swelling goes away after you give birth? You will resize them again?

True I do swell also and early also but never on the hands just the feet so I wear size 10 men shoes all the time now :)
I was lucky enough never had to resize my rings even when my weigh changed from bigger to smaller or vise versa

Too bad about the stock rings ;) sure you will get them off sooner or later. And you know what I do believe that your lucky ring brough good luck and I would NOT take it off either :)
