Katie – once again, I am so very sorry about Cassie.
I know how you feel about the paperwork regarding the hospital that you will be delivering at. I will be seeing my high risk OB for the first time on Monday at the hospital where I will be delivering and I have a huge packet to fill out. But, it is not nearly as intense as yours. WOW!!! I agree with Stephanie, I would wait until the delivery is closer to finish filling it all out.
Helene – how did your blood work turn out regarding Fifth’s Disease?
Karen – try to get all of the rest that you can. Some days I am just exhausted and then other days I have just a little bit of energy.
Ronda – I hope all is well with you.
Claudia – I glad you get to tell your friend over lunch … that will be exciting. A lot of people already know about my pregnancy because I am starting to show already and I am still on light duty at work, so they have figured it out already.
Stephanie – your adoption visit with the social worker brought such a big smile to my face. I am so happy it went well … yeah!
I am little concerned that you are swelling now and accompanied by the headaches. Please make sure you get some answers. I am worried about you. Also, if you finally get your nurse to call you back they can actually call in the prescription to the pharmacy so you will not have to worry about picking up a script w/ your name on it.
Sara – I hope things are going well for you. Have you moved already to your other classroom? Remember, not to lift anything heavy!!
Babyluv – how are you feeling today? Has the spotting stopped yet?
Gi – I am glad you are sleeping through the night. I am still up and down like crazy because I have to urinate so often during the night. Some nights it is very hard to get back to sleep and other nights I can just fall right back to sleep. Of course, my DH just sleeps through everything ... lol!
AFM – What a long stressful day it has been today. The rain, thunderstorms, and lightening have made it a terrible day to be driving around for me. I am so glad that I am finally back at home and can relax for awhile. My RE checked my thyroid levels while I was in his office yesterday and the nurse just called and said my level is within normal range, so I guess the Synthroid that they put me on is working!
Angela - Alas... no such luck. I left a message with the desk and told them that leaving the nurses a voicemail is pointless, they never call back. So she agreed to take my info and questions to them personally letting them know I have called a few times with no call back. Still they haven't called me back. I am getting very frustrated with these nurses. Maybe I will just call back tomorrow and ask for the doc to call me back, I did that the first time I had questions and he called me the same day!
Helene - Yes, I would get them resized again after birth since I won't stay swollen afterwards. Not sure if what I will have to do quite yet. I just know if the swelling is starting now, it will likely get worse and getting them off now while I possibly still can is better then getting them cut off. Even if I could put up with them being tight (as long as it doesn't cut off circulation of course) if I have to have a c-section they will get cut off anyway. So I have to make a decision.

TWINS!! Born 10/13/10 Ethan Andrew and Angelina Lilly
Hi ladies - sorry to go MIA with no warning, my father was taken into hospital last week (with what initially appeared to be liver problems) and has been having various tests to try and find out what is wrong. Long story short, a CT scan on Monday showed a large growth in the area of the pancreas which was squeezing his bile duct almost shut and since then he's had exploratory surgery to x-ray the area from the inside and to put a stent in to relieve the pressure in the bile duct, which has taken away some of his pain and also relieved his jaundice. The various consultants in the gastroenterology surgical team are going to look at his notes and tests and he's tabled for discussion at their weekly meeting next Wednesday when they'll decide what they can do going forward, but we've spoken briefly to one of the surgeons who has said that the growth doesn't at first sight appear to be operable, and who I think (in not so many words) wants us all to prepare for the worst. In the meantime, the surgery has made him sufficiently comfortable to enable him to go home temporarily, which we're very happy about.
So I've been up staying with my Mum for most of this week (it's a couple of hours by car from here), but am back home now for a few days and for a family wedding this weekend. Depending on what the short/medium/long term prognosis is, I envisage being up with my parents a fair amount on and off over the next few weeks/months. So if I disappear again suddenly from the thread for a number of days, that's probably why.
Angela - I'm so happy that your u/s went well yesterday, and that the baby measures right on course!
rayofsunshine - how nice to see you on here! How cute is your DD with her Mothers Day page?
Steph - well done for controlling yourself around that naughty kid and its even naughtier father at your BBQ. I think I would have blown a fuse... Oh no, are the headaches still there? What have your OB/nurses said about them? I'm so excited for you about your DD's adoption - it sounds as if the chat with the social worker went really well on Tuesday and it's all in the bag! What a shame about the swelling - maybe it's happening a little earlier because it's twins? What does your OB think? It's definitely worth a call to let them know. If you decide not to resize your rings, how about wearing them on a necklace around your neck? That way, they will always still be with you, particularly your Mum's 'lucky' wedding ring.
Helene - oh poor you, your house move sounds as if it was so much hard work for you, and what a stressful time with the police! I hope your back stays better - no more lifting please!! And I'm certainly having a cup of tea every day, sometimes two - tea is better than coffee for caffeine content and I'm a believer that it's fine in moderation.
claud - yay for telling family, roll on next week so you can tell the rest of the world! Looking forward to another bump picture - I'll try and remember to get DH to take another one of the beach ball this weekend, although I don't think it's grown all that much since the holiday 2-3 weeks ago.
karen - so nice to see you on here. OMG, I can't believe you're at 16 weeks already, the time is really starting to fly now. I'm not surprised you're feeling tired with two little ones in there fighting for space. Hope you can post a picture soon!
Ronda - honey, so sorry that the m/s is still there but hopefully it won't be for much longer. The placenta should really be starting to take over around now. How are you feeling other than the m/s and headaches?
gi - hurray for buying maternity clothes, be proud of that bump! I absolutely love my maternity jeans, they are the most comfortable clothes I've worn for a long time. Wonder whether I can just wear them forever, even after Zorba puts in an appearance... How lovely that you've finished with the steroids, that's another stage out of the way. Fingers crossed that your next app't is soon, waiting is such torture!
babyluv - I'm so happy to read that both babies looked great at your u/s, and how great that your DD got to see and talk to them as well!
katie - sweetie, I am in bits for you, I'm so sorry to read about Cassie. I know how much my two are my babies (of the furry variety) and how devastated I would feel if I lost one of them. I hope it is some comfort that she had you with her for the last hours and that you were able to hold her while she said goodbye peacefully.
Take care everyone,

Hazel – Oh, I am so very sorry to hear about your father. I am happy that they were able to provide some temporary relief for him. A blocked bile duct can be very painful. My prayers are with you and your family right now.
I am also glad your pregnancy is progressing well. I totally understand why you have been gone and probably will be gone in the future but we will be thinking of you!
steph - true about the c-section and the rings. But I am not sure if it's good to resize rings to many times... can't you just hold off to resize until the babies are here? I know your dh will not like that. Sorry you are in such a delliama (spelling)! (I wish there was a spell check on this system
hjw - omg what are those doctors talking about?? I mean anything is possible these days... You can't let them choose the worse for your dad. Can't you get a second opinion sometimes it's something super easy they don't even know about. Sorry I get so upset when they talk as if this person is just another patient... I mean he is a dad and young ... come on my!!! Sorry dear I know you are going through a lot and I should be supportive... I am sure they will find something to do or someone else will. Hang in there girl we are here for you and will patiently wait your return...
AFM - I tried to find decafinated tea but I will have to go to another store I guess.
And no I got no news about my fifth desease test?? No news good news I hope. With no symptoms I am hoping for the best and worring about our other problems now with the landlord who is treatnening to keep our last's months rent over the place not being finished yet... boy we are supposed to have it until Saturday... they wanted to show it on Thursday night but it's not complete... What do they think with our family we cannot rush and legally it is ours until Saturday so whatever!!!

Helene - Not sure what I will do yet with the rings. If I resize them it will only be adding to then going back to normal size. It won't effect the structure at all so I don't see how it would be bad unless I plan on selling them which I don't of course. The rings are not that big od a dilema. The nurses not calling me back is though!!
Hazel - Oh wow you have had an eventful week. I wish it could have been under better circumstances though. I am glad your father is feeling better. I hope they can figure something out on Wednesday. You will have to keep us updated. Tons of good wishes to your father! As for the rings.. that's a great idea to put them around my neck. I would have to resort to the wedding rings and put the others away. Four rings hanging around my neck might not look right. lol I will have to talk to Andrew about it.. I am thinking he will want the wedding ring resized. lol He is picky like that.
Still no word from the nurses. What the heck am I supposed to do.. maybe walk in there face to face and demand to be seen? Demand to speak to my OB? What if this is something bad and they are just blowing me off. It's really starting to worry me!

I had a busy day today! I went to court this morning to watch my dad who is on a big trial and watched him do some cross examinations...very exciting!!! Now I am catching up on some work from home before I have to go back in for a Confirmation rehearsal with my students....the good news is that my night classes are ALMOST over and I won't have to work late every night of the week!!! My DH said last night that I can't keep up this schedule once baby is here because I am literally home at 9:30 three or four nights a week and that's not fair for anyone!!!
Hazel-I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and I have everything crossed they will find a solution to make your dad the most comfortable. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
Stephanie-HOW FRUSTRATING!!!! The best thing about my clinic was that I would get immediate response no matter how crazy of an issue...I would let my unhappiness be known and get some answers-especially because this has to do with your health.
Helene-no word still about your b/w? Fingers crossed that no symptoms is a great sign.
Katie-how are you doing today hon?
Here is my latest belly pic and look how much I popped!!!! I can't believe I have a pregger belly!!!! I might go maternity clothes shopping this weekend so that will be fun

Helene – I think I bought my Tetley’s decaffeinated tea at a local grocery store.
I sure hope you get your results about the Fifth’s Disease soon so you can stop worrying.
Sorry, to hear about your previous landlord. You are right, you have your old house until Saturday, and so it’s not your problem when she has a scheduled visit for a showing. You just tell her that you will sue her for your first month’s rent if it isn’t returned to you.
Stephanie – I like the idea of wearing your rings around your neck … that sounds like a good idea … hopefully your DH will like it also.
I agree with the lades … I would call and try to reach your RE not the nurses and if the call is still not returned I would go there is person. And, once you talk w/ you RE, you need to tell him that his/her nurses are not returning patients’ calls in a timely manner.
Claudia – Nice picture! It sounds like you had an interesting day. I love spending time w/ my dad, no matter what we are doing.
How do you think you will adjust your evening schedule once your baby is born? I was thinking about the same thing and I had a discussion w/ one of my business partners about working excessive evening hours. I said I will work some evenings but it will not become a habit like in the past.
Hazel – I hope your dad is doing better today … please keep us updated whenever you can. I understand that you are busy, so don’t worry about posting too often.
Katie – I hope you doing better today. How is your other dog doing today?
Karen – I hope you are still getting your rest.
Sara – the school year is almost over. How many days do you have left now?
Babyluv – how are you feeling today?
Gi – I hope you had a good day today, also.
Ronda – I hope you are doing well.
AFM – I have been overwhelmed with converting my high speed internet from a business corporate account to a residential account for the last four days. I am so fed up with the process … I think I have spent more than 8 hours on the phone w/ numerous people trying to simply transfer service. Why does everything have to be so difficult all the time?
As for the baby, we are doing well today. No significant changes today. I just hope she/he just keeps growing, growing!
angela - yes I know I could get my decaf tea at the grochery store but we didn't get the change to go do grocheries since we moved and dh does it. I go to a fruit/veggy store everyday and they don't have it... and this weekend we have to clean the house if we don't want to loose money so again no shopping saturday... hopefully Sunday And yes dh will definitely sue for the last month's rent if it is not returned.
oh tell me about the phone services. When we moved I transfered everything and it took me 4 hours to do 4 calls... my dh could not believe me.
Glad baby and you are doing good today... you are doing so great I still can't believe what you went through and are now ok... God Bless and stays all the way to the end with a healthy baby to bring home.
I still have no news on the b/w I guess I will call the RE today maybe they forgot to tell me "if" there is nothing wrong??
Have a good day everyone.

Claudia - So cute! Definitely seeing that bump. How fun to watch your dad in action. I love that we can still be Daddy's girls, even as adults.
Helene - any news yet?
Steph - I think Helene is right about resizing too much. My engagement ring cracked once, I had it fixed, then cracked again. It's been fine now for years, but whenever you cut it, it's never as strong. Just a thought, though I do understand wanting to wear them. I have an anniversary ring that I wear on my middle finger, and I am going to try to wear it in place of my wedding set if need be. My friend went out and bought a fake ring to wear when she was pregnant and it looked pretty good!
Angela - I have to tell you, when I saw your ticker hit 8 weeks, I was so happy! For some reason I just think that's a good milestone...8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks, etc... Glad everything is going well.
Hazel - So very sorry about your dad. I'll keep him in my prayers, and your mom as well.
AFM - My spotting is so weird. I have it when I wake up, then it tapers off throughout the day until it's just gone. Then it comes again the next morning. I thought maybe it was the baby aspirin since I take it at night, but I had a nap yesterday and had the spotting when I woke up from that! So maybe it's the extra blood flow to the placentas when I am in a restful state, or maybe it's my cervix relaxing and letting some blood out. Who knows? At any rate, no cramping, and I've been checking on the babies with the home Doppler and they are still in there doing well It's getting louder now which is fun. I'm ready for the spotting to stop, but I guess I will be just have to deal with it until the bleed is gone...maybe 3 or 4 more weeks.
But other than that and still being very tired most days, I am good! Getting my hair done today. Soooo glad she could fit me in!
babyluv - I think the spotting is common with twins... I know it's a pain but as long as you hear the hb I guess everything is fine. Sorry it's scary though.
And nope no news yet I just called the office to know but had to leave a message??

Babyluv - That is exactly what I complained about when I was spotting! I think it just pools up when we lie down. I remember thinking every night, maybe it will be gone tomorrow because it was almost gone every night, but nope. It stopped right after stopping baby asprin. Well, I stopped taking it, had a day without it then one more day of very little spotting then I never saw it again. Once the placenta is formed, the asprin doesn't necessarily help unless you have a slight clotting problem. That's what I was told anyway. lol
Angela - How frustrating dealing with transfering. I am frustrated with my bill! lol Time Warner does my net and cable and they charge an arm and a leg. Although I know you will continue to worry, try not to worry about your perfect little baby. Anytime worry or doubt comes into your mind just flush it out with happy thoughts. Picture your baby growing and being healthy. I still do this.
Claudia - Your belly is certainly growing. What a perfect little bump to go with that perfect little bod. lol For us thiker gals, our bumps don't show such a difference so fast. My bump is at the top of my button now, but the pics just don't show much of a difference. Soon enough though since they seem to be growing like weeds in there.
AFM - Going to get b/w done today at the hospital. While I am there I am going to ask my questions and stress my concerns about the clinic and also look into becoming a patient there instead of the hospital's clinic. As far as my rings, I got one off. lol My mom's ring will come off easily because I wear that on my pinky, but the anniversary ring and the wedding bands... those are really on there. Cutting might be the only thing I can do. Even though I took my other ring off two days ago, I can still see the imprint of it on my finger. That can't be a good sign, huh? Hopefully I get some answers while I am at the hospital today. I will update everyone in a few hours.
