steph - sorry you can't get the other rings off. Did you try putting them in icewater or something? Hope you don't have to cut them. I also hope you get to be a patient where you are going if that's what you would like. Way to go girl.

gi - Actually I learned about the Fifth desease here by Lauren at first when she was exposed to it that's why I got worried. Then my DD got red cheeks and the daycare teacher told me that's what she had so then I was really worried but they didnt' give me news on my bw so still waiting. It is not a bad thing for kids or adult it is just bad for pg women... just my luck :)

so how are you doing girl?

Helene - I am going to try icewater. My ice machine in the fridge doesn't work though. Going to try what I can to get them off. They warned me today that I need to get them off asap or I will need to have them cut.

Gi - Nope, nurses still haven't called. That's ok, I think I got them all in trouble! lol

So... I went for my quad today at the hospital and my IVF nurse ended up being the one who came to draw my blood. Apparently she was the only one available. Lucky me!! So I told her my issues, from the questions I have had to the nurses not returning my calls for 2 weeks. She took my bp and tested my urine which both turned out fine, YAY! So worrying about early signs of preeclampsia isn't an issue... at least right now, but hopefully not ever! They told me that if the clinic doesn't pick up the phone to just show up. It appears this is an ongoing issue that others have complained about.

So I get there to the OB clinic and I speak to the director. She looks in my chart and tells me that my iron was low from 3 weeks ago. This upsets me because no one bothered to call and tell me! Yes, the doctor prescribed iron and folate, but he told me I didn't need it yet. Turns out I did!! Glad I have it now. Anyway, so she said she is going to look into the issue of the nurses not returning calls. She did mention that the phone system is old and doesn't work properly, but that doesn't explain the messages I have left with the front desk to be handed to a nurse. So it just looks like no one is doing their job. I went on to explain that this pregnancy has been a very eventful one from the SCH to finding out it's twins, now the previa, headaches and swelling. Not to mention I spent 20 grand on just trying to get pregnant.. I would like to make sure I stay that way. I am high risk, not a complete nut case. So, the director tells me to call her if I have any further questions and she will get back to me. She also said she would have the OB call me just to make sure he doesn't want to see me sooner then the 24th. I feel like I was helped enough at the hospital, but if he rather see me sooner then I will go in. :)

Oh steph, I just love the way you handled it... what a lucky day for the right RE to be there right on the spot... my it's good you didn't have a gun ;) YOu were so awesome... way to go girl!!! Glad things are looking up now and the only worry now are you rings... hopefully ice water will work...

AFM - dh and I are fighting a bit because it is getting stressful the house piling up with boxes with NOWHERE to put them. This place is kinda small and I just don't know where to start plus I can't lift things. Well last night I bent the rules and finally made my kids bedrooms. I know my dh is busy with laundry and the baby but I don't see boxes emptied or the bedrooms being done. So while he was gone at the other house getting more boxes I asked my 2 boys to move furniture around with a bit of help from me. So we managed finishing the bedrooms at least which is great. There are still boxes but at least the furniture is where it belongs.

I told my dh he has to make room in the garage (2 car garage) and put the stuff there in the mean time but he says he doesn't want bugs in our boxes??? My oh my... how am I supposed to make an area when it's full of boxes. He should put all the OUTSIDE toys OUTSIDE :) and put stuff in the GARAGE... he just doesn't make sense to me. But I will be bugging him as soon as the other house is dealt with and we have our money and then I will get him and his 18yo son to empty the garage from stuff that goes outside. Maybe he is waiting to mold the lawn first which would make sense... anyways... Today I called him and told him to more this and this so furniture would go where it needs too. Funny how everything was in the wrong room. I am hopeing to get to the basement this weekend and maybe I will find room for box storage??

Sorry to empty my bag... love you all.

Hello ladies – Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I had such a horrible week at work that I was stressed to the max last night so I didn’t get on the computer. I just wanted a margarita but since that wasn’t going to happen; I just went to sleep … lol!

I hope everyone is doing well.

I did read that (Stephanie) said negative on the preeclampsia …. Yeah! I am so very happy for you!!!!!! Try using Vaseline to get the rings off and if possible turn them around in a circle while trying to take them off at the same time. I hope you will not have to cut them off.

AFM – I had some pretty sharp pains (no cramping, just sharp pains) this morning but I think it was because I inserted a vaginal progesterone this morning as usual but when I got up to take a shower 1 hour later the capsule came out so I’m not sure how much was absorbed this morning. So maybe the pain was from the lack of the progesterone this morning or it could also be growth pains. Either way, I just went back to bed and got some more sleep and when I woke up, it was time for me to insert another progesterone supplement and I feel a little better now. I am now anxiously awaiting my first appointment w/ my high risk OB and u/s in Cincinnati on Monday. Once again, I am praying everything works out well!

Have a great weekend ladies!

Angela - Were the pains on the side? I still get those and I am sure they are growing pains. Sometimes if I move to quick too I will get them even worse. That's no fun. lol I can't wait to hear the news about your appt on Monday. I am sure things will turn out perfect!

Helene - I hope things get better and less stressful with the house. I know what you are going through wanting to get things done and not really being able to. Soon enough it will all be done and you all can relax!

Katie - How are you doing hon?

Ronda - Hope the m/s is lightening up!!

Ktelise - Where have you been? Is your m/s still attacking you?

Hope - How is the room move going?

AFM - I took some ice water in a bowl and soaked my hands a bit and used some dish soap and finally got the rings off. I had to really work at my anniversary ring but the wedding bands, once the first two came off the last one was a breeze.. even though it was the smaller one. lol So now my on;y ring is my mom's wedding band. I feel naked without all my diamonds. lol

Stephanie – the pains where mainly over my left ovary but also in the center of my uterus. It wasn’t like cramping but more like sharp pains. I was so happy when it was over. Also, I’ve noticed that I have a lot more morning sickness today, so maybe it all related to the baby growing. I will take all of the uncomfortable feelings as long as I have a healthy baby.

I am so glad you finally got your rings off!

Hey girls,

Steph glad you finally got sorted with the hosp and for getting those rings off!! Its great news you dont have preeclampsia you have enough things happening to you.

Helene moving is always stressful!! When j and i moved into our house 5 yrs ago we had barely any furniture and no floors so there was plenty of room for boxes!! How are all the kids doing?? When are you telling your mam about the pregnancy?

Angela dont worry i too get some pains and the odd sharp sting near ovary at the moment i am getting some stretching type sensations on the left hand side and my tummy feels tight and hard, i too hope baby is doing well. Best of luck with your next appt.

Hope everyone else is doing well and having a great weekend.

Angela - I wouldn't worry about your pains. I am sure they were growing pains. :) You can always ask tomorrow about them though and see what the doc says. I woke up today with a weird... feeling on my cervix. I can't call it a pain because it doesn't really hurt and it isn't a cramp, it's just uncomfortbale. If I didn't know better I would say one of the babies keeps kicking my cervix. That is pretty much what it felt like (without as much kick) with DD. It's been happening all morning off and on. Not sure if I should be worried that my cervix is becoming incompetent or not? I don't like to worry anymore so that thought is kind of scarey. I don't see my ob until next Monday so I have a week to worry if it continues.

Gi - Yes, I got them off, now what to do? lol I really miss my wedding ring. Andrew for our last anniversary got me an upgrade and I miss the big diamond. lol Silly I know but true. I wish it would just fit. I am 20lbs heavier then when we were married though and now swollen on top of it. When I tell people that I gained 4lbs since being preggers, they ask if that is all water weight. Well, I would assume not since I have about 10lbs of babies inside me? Since I am a heavier girl and not within the normal weight range, they don't want me to gain much even with twins. Only 30lbs which is what they normally want a women to gain with a singleton.

AFM I finally went shopping for a new bra! It was definately time considering I grew 2 inches and 2 cup sizes! Went from a 36C to a 38DD. The bra is a lot more comfortable but it doesn't help the sore nips. lol I know no one is talking about it, but my gosh... has anyone noticed how big their nipples and areolas have gotten? Mine are huge! Boobs aren't sore anymore but the nips are constantly sensetive. I can't even cross my arms anymore without being extra careful. Part of the wonderful joys of motherhood. lol I am still getting headaches and they are a pain, but at least I know the babies should be ok and it's likely just another symptom of pregnancy. Lucky me for having such an eventful one with symtoms galore. Of course I will take anything my body wants to throw at me as long as these babies stay healthy and make it to term!

Angela - I get pains too at times, and sometimes still in the ovaries. Or just random across my abdomen. Just baby growing I'm sure.

Steph - Glad you got the rings off! Whew! So weird about your cervix pain! Are you feeling the babies move other than that? I know I'm still early, but a couple of times I have felt something weird, like a light rolling just below my stomach and I wonder...or it could just be a bubble :D My nips have gotten bigger for sure, but I haven't had too much soreness. Also, about the spotting...ok, so yours was worse in the morning, then gone by night? Hmmm... See here's my issue. I would like to stop the baby aspirin (RE told me 14 weeks, OB said I can stop whenever), but I am wondering if it's helping make the blood clot go down. As far as I know, I have no other clotting issues, I'm just nervous! Did you OB say anything about whether the aspirin had helped your SCH dissolve?

Claudia and Helene - Congrats ladies, we all hit 12 weeks today! I know we have another week until first tri is over, but it's a nice number, huh? :D

Babyluv - My Ob looked at me funny when I told him about the asprin. He said that it isn't a big blood thinner in comparison to other drugs but thought it would be best for me to stop. I asked him if he thought that was why I was still bleeding and without trying to undermind my RE's authority or specialties, he simply shook his head yes with a look on his face that basically said.. I hate to tell you this. Sure enough it stopped. As far as the spotting behavior. Sometimes it was gone, sometimes it was just barely there and every night I was hopeful for weeks that it would be gone soon. Wasn't until 11w5d (from just before 7 weeks) when I stopped taking the asprin. The next day it was gone, had one more day of a little spotting then it was gone for good! It could be coinsedence, but it was a hell of one if it was. lol My RE never told me when to get off the asprin, it was assumed that I continue it throughout, but glad I listened to OB about stopping. The babies have great blood flow through seperate 3 vessel cords so I am sure I don't need it. At this point, stopping the asprin is totally up to you. Continuing won't hurt the babies, but it may be helping the spotting continue and not clot and heal. It seems to be a guessing game. When is your next u/s? Maybe they can tell you then if the SCH is gone or still there? Your spotting seems to be acting like mine towards the end, the last 2 weeks. I am sure it has run it's course by now and would assume that it is ok to stop the asprin. Have you asked RE if it's ok to stop earlier?

Hello Ladies,

Thank you everyone for the reassurance ... I just love having you ladies around. I know I will be a nervous wreck through this entire pregnancy and I have such a long way to go. I said that to my DH and added I will probably drive you crazy by then ... he was nice enough to say “oh no you won't” but I know him well enough to know he wasn't being truthful ... lol! Oh well ... he will be just fine ... lol!

Gi - I wanted to ask you about the steroids that you were on. I was reading a post of yours from a previous forum about Killer Cells. Have you stopped the steroids already, if so when? Will they continue to test you to see if your levels are increasing throughout your pregnancy? I'm just curious, I haven't tested positive for killer cells but I am on Prednisone (prophylactic) because of some of the autoimmune responses I have presented in the past.
