My name is Ruth and I am a fertility nurse specialis twith over 18 years experience in the field of IVF. I work with two centres in Spain and two in Athens specialising in helping couples looking to go for egg donation in either of these 2 countries by planning, co-ordinating and providing pre, during and post treatment cycle support and advice.
Before deciding to go freelance, I worked at a clinic on the Costa del Sol, Spain for nearly 6 years, helping over 850 couples try and achieve their dream during that time, so have loads of experience in helping couples who are looking to have treatment in a foreign country. I currently have couples from the UK, Ireland, Australia and America coming through me. It costs no more to use my services than if you had gone to the clinic direct.
The centres we use are smaller and therefore provide a more personal service, whilst offering success rates as good as the larger ones. Because they are smaller, they are less expensive as they do not have such large overheads.
I do have various websites that you can have a look at, but please PM for these so that I do not upset the creators of this wonderful site by me appearing to look too commercial. I just wanted to let you guys know that there is someone out here that can advise and help you through the maze of travelling abroad for treatment should you need it.
we actually visited the clinic in Marbella that you worked at for a consultation but ended up having treatemtn in prague as the waiting list for a donor was much shorter - was very impressed by the clinic though andf the timescale was the only thing that made us go elsewhere - I am now proud mum to 14 week old twin boys
Sorry we could not help at the time. When I was there the waiting lists were quite high, but it has gone downhill since I left. The centres I work with now are soooo much better than the old one with much better success rates, facilities etc.
Hi RUth hope you get this i see that it has been awhile since your last post. I am from San Diego and just starting this process. I will need egg donor and I am looking at going to Ensenada for IVF they also do egg donors but they have no donor egg data base and I would like the donor to have similiar traits as I do. I know in the US the egg donor websites have pictues and profiles of the ED. How is it where you work? ANy ED data base profiles I could choose from? Thanks.
Many clinics in Czech Republic have no waiting list either for egg donation or embryo adoption. The prices are good too. I got pregnant in Gyncentrum, Ostrava.
Anna Maria, I was also in the Czech Republic for my # 1, but was not happy with their service and quality any longer. I decided to go to Thessaloniki in northern Greece, the clinic is very modern and is called embryolab
They have no waiting list, accept single women, price is 5.500 euros all included (plus freezing costs) and they won't practice egg sharing which I very much appreciate! I know of some people who got pregnant there, I am myself about to start treatment in a few weeks. lots of luck to all of you, ladies, luci
hi ruth, can you please tell us more about the help you offer we have been abroad for treatment to india twice both attempts ended in tears as you can imagine we are so desperate now for a child of our own and came across you on this site.
Hope you can help us to decide where we can go next we have heard of places in spain ect both good and bad so a little extra guidence would be realy helpful.
kindest regards karen and rick
I was just surfing around the net mainly as a form of nostalgia for my previous job , i used to work in a IVF clinic based in Athens and run by a well known professor of IVF in the University of Athens. Now i am working as consultant in a complete different field , however , I still have good knowledge of the field especially in Greece and in particular in the traps that some '' well known'' and ''hyper-advertized'' ivf clinics have. I would be greatful to answer to any questions you may have if you consider a treatment abroad and in Greece and to share with you my thoughts and why not my connections. The clinic i was working to had no waiting list and had a good scientific and academic reputation to work with and a tradition to the most sophisticated and modern IVF practices with a very good cost/value relation.
Feel free to pm me for any more more info and take good care.
Those interested in infertility treatment abroad (Greece, Germany, Ukraine, Czech Republic, etc) are welcome to consult . Here you may find not only highly specialized services (IVF, surrogacy, egg donation), but also a plenty of useful articles on medical issues and tourism information for health travellers.
Hello to everybody ,
I went to the Czech republic for oocyte donation treatment and I have to admit that going to CRM Zlin (www.crmzlin.cz)was the best decision I have ever made. Ivona Joklilova was my IVF coordinator ( ivona@crmzlin.cz ) and helped us from the moment I emailed her to the day we left the clinic. She was so incredibly helpful. I was anxious at first communicating only via email but she eased all my anxieties and truly made our journey to Zlin a wonderful incredible experience. The staff, the embryologist, the doctor's at the clinic were so professional, courteous and kind. They are all so dedicated to help you achieve that one most important goal in life to have a baby. They have made our dream come true and if possible we will return for a sibling. We thank God everyday for all the wonderful staff, nurses, doctors and especially Ivona at the IVF Clinic in Zlin.
