Hi All

Here's the start of our thread for our beautiful spring 2010 babies so we can continue this journey together.

Congratulations to you all and I can't wait to hear more about your lovely lo's.

Hey all! Popping in from the May 2010 Board . . .

About my little one: Grace Ellen Louise was born on 4/24/10 at 9:24 pm . . . 4 lbs 12 oz and 18.25 inches long . . . 3 weeks early!

Funny story: DH and I were getting ready to go to a wedding . . . mucous plug passed, quickly followed by the bloody show . . . must have been in denial, because we started driving to the wedding! Halfway there, we stopped and I realized that my water had broke! That was quickly followed by contractions that were 5 minutes apart! This all happened in the space of an hour! Crazy, eh?

Checked into the hospital at 2:30 pm, 4 cm dialated . . . had a touch of high blood pressure and was concerned about pre-eclampsia . . . turned out to be negative and I delivered at 9:24 pm! Pretty fast!

Baby is doing good . . . had a bit of jaundice, so she stayed behind in the hospital to get some more treatments . . . came home a few days after she was born and has been gaining weight ever since . . . supplementing with formula and breast milk . . . she is sleeping really well too . . . eats every 3 hours or so . . . no colic as of yet . . .

My twin boys were born on 13 feb by c section - did full labour thing to full dilation then Benjamin tipped his head back and there was no way he was coming out !! Born 3mins apart at 7.11 and 7.14pm - and home 3 days later - Benjamin was 6lb 13oz and Samuel was 7lb 9oz .. and still growing well !!

They are 13weeks old know and such little characters - still not sleeping through the night but can't have everything!!

wishfull - congrats on your 2 lo's. I don't know how you manage with 2, I am exhausted with one lol!.

deft - congratulations on your baby girl. So funny that you thought you could make the wedding.

I love being a mummy too despite the exhausting nights. I am so paranoid about everything though, a week has not gone by when Freddie has not been to the docs! He is 7 weeks today and an angel really. He has a bit of colic but not too bad and infant gaviscon is really good for his reflux. He is a hungry baby though! We formula feed as I was unable to breastfeed him sadly.

All the hardwork is so worth it when he smiles at you, it's amazing how he does a new little thing nearly every day!

LOL Angie DH and I use to say at 3am - god how easy it would be just to have 1 !!! -- we are in a really good routine now and have nmanaged the last 3 weeks on my own i am a total control freak though so everything is very organised! - they are still not dsleeping throiugh but go about 6 hours and just wake for one feed - usually ine after the other !! They are developing real persoanlities and are very different characters -don't kow how to attach photo but am on face book if want to PM me and then can see photos!!

Gorgeous day here today and boys are asleep again in pushchair in garden - so time to do jobs - watch a bit of Jeremy Kyle and then got twins club this afternoon!!

Hi fellow moms!!! Glad to see you all over here. My darling Samantha is doing very well, and either her colic is improving or I've adjusted and gotten used to her and how to help her. For three nights in a row she slept almost 8 hours straight! Last night she didn't eat quite as well before bed, so she was up to eat at 2:15, but that's ok! We went right back to sleep afterwards. I am still in awe that this whole thing worked! I never thought I would be a mom. We're moms yay!!!

I agree with the awe of you wishful! I cannot imagine having twins!!! Lol!

Carolyn - your boys are so cute.yes I have been to the local surestart but not much for under 3 month babies. I am starting baby massage course in june with asmall group of 8 so should be good.

dogz - 8 hours! thats amazing. we have had one 6 hour and one 7hour but always back to 3 hours. he always has a cold though so probably doesn't help and gastric reflux!

Ang - I have done the baby massage course it was really good - do they not do a bumps to babes class ? I am also signed up for baby signing in a couple of weeks - ou centre is really small and friendly and my boys are always the centre of attention as no other twins there !!!

Dogz - DH and I said in the ear;ly days how easy it would be just to have 1!! - I am a real control freak and super organised so have just tried to remain like that and keep one step ahead - some days it works others it does not !! - had lots of help till the boiys were 10 weeks old but am managing on my own in the day now and getting out each day !!!

I just pinch myself when I look at them and think hopw far we have all gone to achieve our dreams - is anyone planning on cycling again ?? I am not - too old now and more than happy with my two littel miracles

looks like some good weather in UK these next few days so will ahve to amke most of ou 'summer ' !!!

I would be happy with one, but we have 2 frozen and will put those in in a couple of years. That will be it though, no matter the outcome.

Carolyn - no bumps to babes. They are quite limited for the very young babies. There are 2 centres really close but very similar. They did have a baby sign course but it has finished now, I hope they do it again. The latest news from them is that we can all hire toys for 50p to £4 per week, max 2 weeks. So just as they get used to it you take it away! Or on fathers day they are arranging a walk of the humber bridge. Anyway, hopefully we will find something in the next couple of months or it will be november and I will be back at work. The HV was saying that there was a boom on twins up here and even one woman who had natural triplets.

Dogz - You are already thinking of the next ones then? I thought I would be but I am so obsessed with Freddie that I really can't think of another now. If we do change our mind we are the same, use the frozen embies and that's it no matter what. I do not want to get in debt over this and not be able to buy Freddie things. I can't wait to take him to Florida when he is older! We were lucky and had all our treatment free on the NHS but that would no longer be the case. Also, I still feel a bit traumatised from the labour and there were no complications!

Angie- I am not thinking of the next one yet lol! I was just stating that we have two frozen embryos. Not looking to put those in too soon as I am so consumed by our little miracle at the moment!

dogz - sorry, I thought you meant soon. We couldn't for 2 years at least as the childcare costs would be crippling! When he is 3 he gets 15 hours free childcare, well unless thats one of the many cutbacks from the new government.

Hi gals! How is everyone?
My little peanut is almost 4 months old and I can't believe it! Just to refresh your memory: Savannah Reed was born March 12, 2010 and was 5 1/2 weeks early weighing 4 pounds, 9 ounces. She is doing great and is now weighing in at 10 pounds, 12 ounces. I'm just now starting to put a schedule into place. It's been hit and miss lately. When do you put your babies down for the night and how much do they sleep during the day?

My DD is 9 weeks. I tried to do a schedule from the day she was born, but gave it up when she was a month old. I was in and out of the house too much to be faithful to the schedule. Now we have more of a "routine." She wakes up, eats, plays, and then sleeps. I don't let her sleep for more than 2 hours during the day. SHe usually gets up around 8 am. I put her down to bed anywhere from 7-8pm. I feed her when I go to bed at 1030(it's a dream feed because she eats with her eyes closed). SHe usually gets up again around 2 and then 5-ish . . . I'm going back to work in 2 weeks and have to get up at 530 anyway, so it's working out for us. If you're interested in schedules, there's a great book called "Babywise."

Hi everyone

Tia - I answered your sleep question on facebook. As you can see we are quite lucky with lo sleeping through! He was about 10 weekes when he started I think. I am so happy to hear Savannah is doing so well especially after all you went through! She is beautiful.

deft - back to work already? Wow thats quick! Are you in the USA? I am not back to work til November and all my friends think I am going back to early and should take at least 9 months! Well maybe if I had there money and could survive on £120 / week for more that 3 months then I would lol! (I get full pay for 4 months). Do you have pics of your lo? Are you on facebook?

Carolyn - wow, your boys are so cute! I can't believe how quicly they change. We have been making the most of surestart the last few weeks now he is getting bigger. Baby bounce is so funny, he is even recognising some songs now and laughs as soon as you start 'round and round the garden'. We have also been to baby explorers and baby massage. We have just signed up for baby first aid for a whole £7 for the course which is accredited and baby sing and sign, both start in september. I can't wait.

Just a question, when are you all thinking of starting weaning?
