Ok so I got DH to go to the store thanks to his own curiousity to buy the IntelliGender test. So he made sure I woke up to "go" before he left for PT today. lol Hence the early post. It's only 6:20 here. Anyway.. So it says online if it turns boy right away you are likely having two boys, if it changes later after the 5 minutes that you are likely having a girl and a boy. I didn't feel like watching it for 5 minutes so I went to lay down for a few. Andrew watched it and said it was changing already then came down to lay with me for the next 2-3 minutes of the test. At exactly 5 we got up to look and it was dark green already. Per the online directions for twins, this means I am having two boys. This would be great! It is exactly what I want, but I am happy enough knowing there is likely at least one in there. lol I can't wait to see what the u/s says to compare! Here is a pic.

Hey Steph, I did that test this week too and here are my results:

Boy! Also and I asked the company to confirm and they also say it's a BOY result!!

When I asked them about twins they sais you would know if you have at least a boy in there but not if there is a girl also. But I hope you get you two boys!!!

AFM...we have officially told our family, co-workers, and good friends so the news is public! It's so strange to actually talk about the pregnancy out loud to people!!! My brother's baby boy is having his bris tonight (where they do the circumcision) so I will see a lot of family and parent's friends which will be exciting!!! My next OB apt is next Thursday which I'm very excited about!!!

Claudia - YAY for getting it out to everyone else. It does feel good to tell even strangers. Just to see the excitement in a person's eyes you don't even know is pretty cool.

Gi - I didn't even know this town had those tests. I knew they were out there but this town has practically nothing so I thought when I sent him out that he would come back empty handed. If you are really curious, I know you can order them online, hopefully you can do so. So no more work! I am sure it is a blessing and gives you more bonding time with baby.

That's right Steph. But I am going to wait for the anatomy scan now cause I don't want to exite her for nothing... But I would love it to be a boy for that reason ...

Hi everyone -

Wow sorry that took so long but I ate and then fell asleep on the couch! I was so wound up about this scan that i barely got any sleep last night.
I was soooo convinced it was a boy that i almost fell off the table when she said girl. As soon as the tech started I said as soon as you can tell what it is just shout it out, so she said that she saw a stucture that indicates girl - and both my DH & myself were totally silent, so I said are you sure? She said she was so positive that she will put it in her report - again we're just quiet, so then she kept going and like 5 minutes later out of nowhere I just said "are you SURE there is no penis"? She laughed at me and ssaid "I'm positive" I looked over & saw my DH smile at me and felt so much better. I cant believe how much I thought it was a boy! You really can never tell, it just goes to show you. So never mind those guesses based on heart rate - last scan it was 153 and this time it was 146
So Team Pink! Really I was just thrilled to hear that she is totally healthy and measuring correctly. And OMG she maight be a budding gymnast with the way she was moving all around! The tech said its not easy to get the pics she needs when they are so active like this. Its hard to believe with THAT much movement that I still havent felt anything yet. Whew now I'm back to having no names at all again!
At least we have plenty of time to negotiate, and it will take some negotiation since the only girl name my DH likes is Samantha - sorry but its just not for me!
I'm going to ask my DH put all the sono pics in the computer so I'll post the new ones tomorrow, and if I'm feeling brave - take a new belly pic - ugh

Steph - You called it right! And Whoo Hoo for the intelligender test saying 2 boys for you! Can you stand the suspense until your appt on friday? I'm so happy to hear that Andrew is bonding with the twins and ran out to find that test - see he did just have too much on his mind. Are you still having the weird dreams? I swear they're costing me sleep, i think I wake up because they are so random & strange - but then I'm up . Guess I 'll have to get over that once I'm up - I'm up business when we have a newborn at home. And I'm still waiting to feel movement.

Babyluv - I'm glad that your OB not concerned with your spotting - but I wish it would just stop already. YAY for the great deals you got at that consignment sale!! What a great idea - I'll look in my local paper for some

Lou -Aw, honey I miss you too - lots! I'm still upset at what happened to you. its really upsetting to think of the hospital bills, why are they coming to you and not sent right to your ins co? I so hope that you are able to enjoy your trip to Europe and I hope its beauty helps heal you. And when you come back you can get the ball rolling on trying again. Helene - wait now 1 test said girl and the other test said boy? Arrgh how frustrating! i think you have no choice but to just hold on for the neext scan so you can be sure. And all your hard work and tears paid off - your family photo came out awesome! what a wonderful picture!

Just got back from my OB not to long ago. I am measuring 26, I didn't think I was quite that big. lol He did an u/s with a very prehistoric looking machine. You could barely see the hearts beating, that's how bad it was. So there was no chance on even trying to see gender today. He did see the placenta, he says it's marginal and said I should not have sex. At least I had a 4 week window. He said if we do, to be soft and not be too energetic with it. lol If we do decide to have "take it easy" sex then he doesn't recommend it last long at all, so basically get it in now because by Friday or soon after the perinatologist might cut us off for good the remainder of the pregnancy. Other than that, he gave me a different medication for my headaches. Not sure if I will have it filled. It won't really be much different then Tylenol other than it will make me sleepy too. Not sure I see the use in paying the copay for it if it won't make much of a difference with the headache. I go back on 7/2 but have to call or go see him if I have bleeding or contractions. That was basically it. Now just to wait till Friday for genders. OH... he did say that the scan on Friday is simply a follow up and not an anatomy scan so I should have that scan still about 20 weeks. That will likely be scheduled when I go in on Friday.

Stephanie – I got so excited when I saw the gender prediction test but when I researched it … I don’t qualify. It says that a person shouldn’t be taking progesterone for at least 10 days before taking the test! I doubt my RE will take me off of it any time soon.

I am so glad your u/s went well … too bad the machine was so old that you couldn’t see the genders today but now we have something to look forward to! Are you still having any spotting issues? I don’t remember you mentioning it lately (hopefully not).

Katie – I am so excited for you … it’s a GIRL!!!! Congrats!

Gi – thank you so much for thinking of me regarding my u/s. Wow, done w/ work until next May. That sounds great!!!

Claudia – I am so happy that your secret is out now you can relax a little and enjoy your pregnancy w/ family and friends!

AFM – Well, I had my u/s today and the baby is doing well. He/she is measuring exactly right and the HB is 167. He couldn’t find where my previous spotting was coming from. He said that he agrees that the spotting is coming trying to wean off from the Xanax. So he told me to stay on my original dose until 12 weeks. I will call and notify my high risk OB group of the changes tomorrow. I only have 1 more appointment w/ my RE in two weeks and then the next week I will officially be w/ my HR OB solely.

Angela - YAY for good news! So now that you are back on your doses you aren't spotting right? My spotting stopped 5 weeks ago and we were given the ok for sex after a few days of not spotting so basically I had 4 weeks to enjoy it. lol We didn't take advantage too much because he was so scared. Everytime I would O I would contract and that scared him. As far as the gender thing, you will qualify sooner or later. Look at me, I took it the same week I am going to find out. lol I have been off the progesterone for just over 3 weeks now I think. My last dose was at the end of 12 weeks.

Katie - That is so funny how you kept asking the sonographer! lol First you say not to say until she is sure then when she is sure you ask three times. LOL I don't think the doc on Friday will let me keep asking like that. He didn't seem to be the humorous type. It's so cool that you know though. A lot of us are starting to find out and it's so exciting. The gender prediction was fun. Not sure how much faith I want to put in it though, even though the testimonials are all very positive. Don't worry about not feeling your little girl yet. You actually might have but didn't know that it was her. At these stages they are so nonfrequent and small that most first time mom's dismiss it as something else. Even I have been doing that since I first thought I felt them. lol I am sure though the past two days for sure that the little soft bumps I feel are them. Just now as I am typing I can feel someone around my belly button. So... Samantha huh? I am sure you and DH can come up with something you can agree on... eventually you will have to. lol I went searching all over the place for names. I kept a bunch of boy and girl names on the computer and just kept adding to the list each time I heard a nifty name. I didn't keep them in any order really, just mixed up possible first names and middle names. Something will come to you.
