Questions

Post by audraespino »

So my 1st appointment/consultation with the RE is on June 1st & Im just sort of curious what tests & procedures will be performed.

I know that I can expect them to do blood work & possibly an ultrasound but what else?
Will they ask the boyfriend for a sperm donation? To make sure that his sperm is adequate in all their essential functions of fertilizing my eggs.

Will I go home on any medications to start the process?
Or do I have to wait for my blood test (FSH levels, etc) to come back before we start the medications?

Also was curious.
If you can do sperm washing, for IUI to try to be gender specific with conception, then perhaps they can do the washing & sorting and do ICSI & put the sperm in the egg? For IVF?

Also, what are some good questions I should ask my RE?

Hi guys,

So I've been taking the my Gonal-F (150). I did an ultrasound on wed and the nurse said that they only saw one little follicle and that my estrogen level was 105. She told me to increase my dose to 225. Today I did another ultrasound and I could swear I only saw 2 follicles. Needles to saw I feel like crap! I have been taking the Gonal-F no for almost a week. Does this mean my body is not reacting well to it? Is the whole cycle ruined bc of it? I am worried and scared that this cycle will not work out (this is my first cycle doing ivf by the way).
Did any of you reacted slowly to the Gonal F?
