Hi ladies
Thanks for all the advice I'm still undecided. We shall see in an hour or so :D

Lisa32 So sorry to hear about BFN that is the most heartbreaking piece of news. :(

Purple-I will be on bedrest for 24 hours after transfer and then no strenious activity until 1st Beta.

PA_FA- Have fun in Charlotte!

Lisa32 - I am so very sorry. I hope that you are able to try again in Aug/Sep and that your dream will come true.

Bei - 18 eggs is awesome. I hope you are feeling better.

Kizmet - I know that you are disappointed with only 2 embies...but it only takes one. When I did my transfer with my son, they put 3 in (only ones left) and they all looked pretty poor...but one must have taken off as soon as it was transferred because he is here!! Just need one, and it doesn't even have be the the best looking one either.

Kitty - I agree with you completely...having the thought of triplets is scary, but I would rather have three then none. How many did you transfer?
both 37 ttc since 2004
endo & adhesions from ruptured appendix
1st IVF BFP DS born 11/08/08

Evening ladies.
I didn't have to make any decisions on how many to transfer today since out of the 6 we had that fertilized only 2 made it to transfer but it only takes 1 :D one was a perfect 8 and the other a 7 both grade 3 so that's awesome. Now the wait until June 9th.

Hope you are all well will post more tomorrow.

hello everyone - just wanted to update you on the latest from my RE - they took 11 viles of blood last week to do a lot of chromosome testing and such to see if there is any reason why my body isn't accepting the embryos. I have one frozen cycle left with these embryos from the first round, so we'll probably be trying again in the July/August time-frame (fingers crossed!)

He did say if we do a fresh cycle again he's going to work the follistim a bit differently since I responded so well last time - he said there is just something that isn't letting my uterus accept them because everything else is great (quality of embryos, how I'm responding to all meds etc.)

I've been trying to keep up with everyone, congrats to those with BFP's (hope to join your camp one day!) and to all those who have BFN this time around - I know how you feel, I sympathize with you & wish you strength & peace to deal with it! (I know this time was easier than last but I still feel like it changes me and each day is a new day, some days are great and others are a challenge - such is life I suppose...)

Baby dust to all - Ashley

lisa32 - so sorry for you. I hope you can regroup and try again with better results.

kitty - it is great, 2 little blasto-babies now have a good home. I hope they stick! I know that you have unexplained infertility (me too), did your RE find anything during your cycle that could help diagnosis the problem? It drives me up a wall that my husband and I are perfectly healthy and can't conceive a child for some unknown reason.

bei - how are you feeling?

kizmet - I am glad you are feeling better, what you went through was so horrible and heart wrenching. I hope the FET goes well for you. It only takes 1 good one!

PA- I hope it worked for you. I am now pregnant from my first round of IVF, so it can happen! I hope that it works for you!

rio - I feel fine except for the big bruises on my backside. For some reason the PIO shots have been getting worse and worse. How are you feeling, did you get AF? I am glad you are still so positive, you are such a strong person!

Everything went well. They transfered 2 good looking embies. Out of 18 eggs at retrieval we had 10 fertilized and 9 made to it to Blastocyst. We will be freezing the remaining 7.

I am not off the Metformin so hopefully will be feeling better soon. Will be back on the boards soon. :D

Bei- that's awesome!!! How are you feeling? I don't feel any different yet. That makes me nervous. Should I have cramps? I feel a little cramping at times but it is not constant.

Hey girls-
Not much news here. Just resting and anxiously awaiting my scan. It's so crazy how I was so nervous waiting for beta and now that I have a BFP I'm nervous waiting for the ultrasound. I just want to see the baby's heartbeat and know all is ok. It's so hard to relax with all we have to go through!

EShepherd- Congrats on a great ET! The 2ww is hard but try to take advantage of getting some rest. How often are we given a good excuse to sit around and watch TV and read good books??

Bei- Two blasts and 7 snow babies! That's wonderful! Hope the 2ww goes quick for you!

Ashley- I hope your RE can give you some answers and adjust your meds so next time around does the trick. Keep us posted.

Kitty- It sounds like you had 2 great embryos to transfer. That is a great start to your 2ww. Now bring on the BFP!

Lisa32- Sorry hon. I'm glad DP was there to help you through it. Thinking of you. ((Hugs))

Kiz- Cannot believe all you have been though. It sounds like you are starting to feel better (aside from wicked AF of course!). I really think the FET will be so much easier on your body and hopefully those 2 embies will bring you a much deserved BFP.

PA_FA- Keep the PMA! It can for sure happen on the first try. My 2 year old DD is proof of that!!

Well ladies I'm off to finish up the laundry and go to bed early. Back to work tomorrow after a wonderful and relaxing 3-day weekend. Why can't we always have a 4-day work week?!

Hey all,

Pep - Congrats on that BFP! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your US!

It's just so weird don't you think that using IVF you know all the details so there's no real suprise to find out "Oh, I'm pregnant" so when it comes to ultrasounds and blood tests, it's all that more intense waiting because you have a fair idea of exactly what should be going on and it's much more of a panic if things aren't exactly right. I had an even odder thought the other day and this is SOOOO wrong. The thought was that if either of the frosties I have work, we are going to know exactly where they came from - my right ovary and my DH's left testicle! It's just not right!

EShepard Kitty and BEI - congrats on being PUPO! I can't wait for my turn! I hope the 2 WW doesn't drive you too crazy!

AFM - I'm back at work and feeling fine again now. Really glad I didn't go through with the transfer because I think it would have been way too tough on my body if pregnancy made the OHSS worse. I also think it would have been a waste of a perfectly good embryo because I don't think my body would have been capable of maintaining a pregnancy in the state i was in. AF turned up on Saturday but other than worse cramping than usual, it only lasted 2 days and was really light, so a bit worried there.

Hugs to all,
Kiz
