FET 8th attempt @ 39yrs

Post by Kimmiles »

Hello everyone!
Well to tell a little of my story, we started IVF back in 1998. I really don't remember all the details of my first whole cycle. We are now on our 8th transfer. Lucky # 8. 5 years ago I went though the whole thing again. Belly shots, blood work everyday and everything else you do. I was blessed with 41 folicles and 12 made it though the blasts. I was told that was really good. We were soooo happy. 2 days later I was in the hospital looking 9 months pregnant. Hyper Stimulated. Not fun!!!!!
So after all was good, we went for a transfer. 3 embryos! We got a Pos result! But lost it in M/C. So the good thing of all that is it was the 1st time getting pregnant. So we were happy that it could happen. So when my body was ready we transfered 2 embryos. One didn't make it but the other split into twins, crazy!!!! but at 2 months there were no heart beats.
Which brings me here now, on May 9th (Mother's Day) we had 2 embryos transfered. We still have 2 embros left, but hoping this is the one. Everything this time is different so I feel pretty good about it all.
I'm 38 turning 39 in June so we have everything crossed. Wish us luck

Well I just got the good news!! :D On May 9th,2010,(Mother's Day) DD and I went to Toronto IVF of Canada, we had 2 embryos transfered. So my beta test was due on May 22nd. But I live in the sticks in the north so of course no labs were open!!!!!! And to top it off Monday was a holiday :(
So I went yesterday the 25th for my blood work. The ladies in the lab were not very friendly at all, just saying
I phoned IVF this morning and they still didn't have the results. I gave the lab # to IVF and they phoned and got the results :!:
1st Beta result was............................ 3308 WOW!!!!!
I go next Tuesday for my 2nd beta test  Still have everything crossed!!!!!!!

Thanks for listening,
Kim :P

thanks everyone! Pretty excited that it worked so far. Last night though I got up to go to the bathroom and there was a little blood. The next 3 times I went there was a bit of blood and small bllod clot, is this normal? I don't go for my 2nd Beta till tues 25th. Should I be worried or what?

Kim

Sorry to hear you are spotting but on the Winter Cycle mommies there are a lot of women who had spotting and bleeding in the 1st trimester esp. those expecting twins and with a high beta like yours you could be expecting more than 1. I am sure its ok, just keep well hydrated and relaxed.

Kim - Yes, several women have a little spotting when their menstrual cycle is actually due. As long as it isn’t bright red blood w/ several clots, and the spotting doesn’t continue to increase, I am sure you will be fine. But, they always tell us to tell our RE everything, so I would just let them know if I were you.

I believe you will see a heartbeat. It's unlikely there would be no heartbeats with your hCG so high.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Anyone have ideas on how to keep the morning sickness calm? I can't eat or think of eating. I'm forcing myself, but half the time it comes back up  It's been lasting till around 7 or 8 pm. It hasn't been alot of fun. My husband doesn't know what to do with me :?
any help will be apprecaited.

Kim - Try a “Preggie Pop Drops” … there isn’t any medication in them so they are very safe during pregnancy and you can buy them at maternity clothing stores. Every time that I become really nauseated, I suck on one (it’s just like a piece of candy) it makes me feel so much better. Also, anything w/ ginger helps me also. So I bought Ginger Snaps … lol!

I hope you feel better soon!

Well just got my 3rd Beta test results. 44833. We go for an U/S on Monday the 14th. We have everything crossed hoping that there is a heartbeat this time. Any ideas why such a high beta # ? I read other posts about beta #'s and they are alot lower. Is to high a bad thing? Anyways, still tickled pink that we are still pregnant. :D
