i did acupuncture for both of my cycles that actually made it to ET. both were BFN's, but without doing acupuncture i was canceled twice. my ivf protocols are always different so i dont really know how much it had to do with acupuncture, but it helps me stay calm and focused, and it makes me feel like i am doing something positive to help with the cycles so it makes it worth it for me.

1st cycle we didn't use Acupuncture, we got 6 follicles, 5 good eggs, 4 fertilized, 3 very good at 5 days...
Results were negative...
Just did our second cycle, where we had been using Acupuncture once a week for the past 2 months or so...We got 6 follicles, 4 good eggs, 3 fertilized, 3 very good/100% at 5 days...
We got the results about 2 hours ago... POSITIVE!
She'll have another test in 2 days on Tuesday, but so far it's looking very good.
Was Acupuncture responsible for the positive result? I'd say it's very unlikely, the numbers I'd pull out of nowhere would be that I'm 90% sure it was NOT the Acupuncture that made the difference.
But every little bit can help. Maybe it gave us a 5% better chance? Either way, it was certainly worth it.
If we ever have to go for IVF again for whatever reason, you can bet you're *** that we'll use Acupuncture again... And every other trick in the book... =]
I have been doing acupuncture for the past couple of months. Before I started, I had 2 cancelled IVF cycles due to poor response. I just had an IUI yesterday and my RE was so surprised that I had 4 follicles with no meds at all because in the past, the most I produced was 3 with meds. I know that every cycle is different, but I think acupuncture has made the difference for me.
Some poorly designed studies claimed acupuncture was beneficial for IVF. Some better designed studies came later and found no benefit (some have even suggested a negative impact). Sure, some women get pregnant after acupuncture, just as some get pregnant after watching MTV.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
I've been on accupuncture since the beginning of the process and happy to say it helps a lot. It reduces pain, bloated tummy & somehow it makes me relax in going through ivf. I simply don't know whether this will work or not, because this is our 1st time ivf. But this is definitely makes me calm..
I got pregnant naturally after doing 2 months of electro-accupucture. I have abnormal blood flow to the uterus and was told I should do it for my IVF at CCRM. I had 3 previous IVF cycles and was waiting for my period to start my last IVF cycle at CCRM, well, the period never came and I am amost 8 weeks pregnant. I am not sure if it was really the electro-accupucture, but it was the only different thing I started doing.
I used to do regular accupucture during my previous ivf cycles but they all failed, so the electro-accupucture really made a difference for me because it made more blood go to my uterus.
