So this moring I went in to find that I had 19 follicles. Great, wonderful. Well I just received a phone call that my estrogen level that was at 455 yesterday is at 1500 today!!! This is very concerning to me. All my doctor wants me to do is drop my Gonal F dosage to 75 tonight and 112.5 tomorrow night.
Should I not be concerned???? I am also SUPER sore. YUCK!

Estradiol itself does not cause a problem. But estradiol is produced by follicles, and a lot of estradiol means a lot of developing follicles. A lot of follicles means they may produce too much of another hormone, called VEGF, after the trigger. Too much VEGF can cause OHSS. Dropping the FSH dose will usually slow follicular development.

my E2 did that as well, what day of stims are you on. My E2 was over 7000 when i triggered and i had 44 follicals and ended up with a mild case of hyperstimulation afterward. I didnt take any stims 3 days before my trigger and my E2 continued to rise like that. Im sure everything will be fine the MDs usually know what to do. Good luck i hope you have a great cycle !
