I have had 2 cancelled IVF cycles. For both i started with 15-16 follicles. 16 for 1st cyle, 15 for 2nd cycle. If i was to try ivf again, could my number of follicles increase with more meds or will i always have around that number? We must have PGD so i need more eggs. I heard somewhere that you always have the same amount of follicles. Help please!

It varies quite a bit. Your two cycles seem very consistent, but I suspect if you were to do more cycles, you'd see more variation than that.Kacie wrote:I have had 2 cancelled IVF cycles. Why were you canceled?
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Our first cycle was cancelled due to poor response to meds. i only produced 7 eggs. the 2nd we had 5 embryos that reached blastocyst. but was cancelled after the PGD was done and found 1 embryo was abnormal and the other 4 they said received "no signal". they said they became degenerative. We wanted to try again, but me and my husband have decided i just dont produce enough follicles. My RE could not explain why i am not responding well to the meds (300 units follistim, 10 units ovidrel, 5 units lupron). she said being my age, 32, i should be producing more eggs.

A 32 year old usually produces more than 7 eggs, but that also varies a lot. I've even seen 27 year olds with ovarian failure.
