Hi Everyone,

I know many of you do not know me, but I have cycled with some dear friends who are on this board. I read the posts as often as I can, but since I am pregnant with TRIPLETS- YIKES :D :D :D I don't get on often enough and felt bad posting since I wouldn't be able to keep up. I was able to get on today and do some catching up and I just want to send my condolences to those who have lost their precious angels. Whether I know you or not- each one has made me cry. I am certain that each and every one of you has good things in store for the future. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

The thing that has made me actually get to posting today is the whole mess with Helene. I just had to add my 2 cents as well. I CANNOT believe that someone with that many children would have the audacity to post on this board- knowing how many of you have gone through so much to be pregnant with your little miracles AND for those of you who have lost- knowing that whether she keeps her baby depends on whether it is a boy or a girl!!! I am IRATE!!!! I cannot imagine how someone could be so insensitive! I want to scream and give her one swift slap to wake her up. No one could be that dense to think it would be ok to post those things in a place like this where everyone is counting each and every single blessing bestowed upon us.
Stephanie- you hit the nail on the head when you asked her how the baby would feel if it was a boy and knew he was given up simply because he was a BOY!! And how do her sons that she has already feel knowing she doesn't want another one of 'them'??

I am sorry to go off on a tangent like this, especially since not many of you know me. I must seem like a raving lunatic. It must be the hormones raging.

A very special hello to my old friends.

Katie- YEAH it's a GIRL! Woo hoo! Just so you know, we may be naming our little girl Katie :D Can you believe I am 33 weeks already?? Dr's think I can get to 35.   Babies are already over 4 lbs each!!

Good Afternoon Ladies!!

I want to start off by saying that while I agree with everything being said about Helene I feel VERY guilty since I am the one who asked the question about her giving up the child upon finding out the gender which opened up a whole pandora box of things!!! I don't agree with her values but I feel bad about her getting kicked out of the thread...my DH always says I have a really low threshold for guilt!!! Now that I got that off my chest I have been feeling Flick about once or twice a day the past few days which is AMAZING!!! I have also been having bad headaches so I've introduced a cup of coffee into my diet per my OBGYN instructions which has helped a lot!! I also started working out again and taking a pre-natal yoga class so I feel better all around!! I don't care so much about the weight gain but I don't want to lose my muscle mass and I already see that I'm holding a lot of water weight behind my legs by my butt which is new for me!!!! I have to get in a bathing suit starting Friday for the next 7 weeks since I coach a summer swim team

Katie-Glad to hear the baby girl was so active yesterday!! Can you update my status that my next obgyn apt is June 30th and my second trimester screening is July 1st!! Only two more weeks to go!! BTW...my neice is AVA and I LOVE that name (actually was contemplating it if we had a girl but she took it!!!)

Hazel-I'm so happy that the diagnosis was better than you expected!! Cherish every minute with him and so happy your baby will get to meet his/her grandpa!!! I can't believe you are 28 weeks already!!!! the time is flying by!!!

Natasha-so glad you had no spotting/bleeding since weening off the medicine! You have only a few more days till you are officially in the second trimester!! YAH!!!!

Steph-how are you feeling? any updates with Andrew seeing the psychologist and helping him with the PTSD?

to all the ladies-you are constantly in my mind and thoughts!! xoxo
Catch up with you ladies later

Hi Claudia!

I'm so happy to see you are doing well. :D

Our triplets are 2 boys and a girl. We are so so excited... and nervous. :D We are expecting to have my c-section around the 29th and by hook or by crook, I will keep you all posted.

Claudia - Don't feel guilty at all! We all knew that was her intention from the beginning and tolerated it, the reason I had to say something was not what you said, it was her responce being giving up ALL the babies if this one was a boy and doing it again with yet another cycle to get that girl unrelated to these embies. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. So.. no guilt!! Though I feel some since I opened the flood gates, but it is also a sense of relief finding out how everyone else feels. On to a happy subject... you and Flick! So happy you are feeling him more. Sorry, I say him... I guess that is my guess that it is a boy. lol When do you find out gender, do you even plan to? I bet you would look so cute in a bathing suit with your baby bump. Don't worry about your toosh, I am sure it looks great. :) Mine on the other hand has grown what I call a second ass. lol Looks pretty gross and no way I would put it in a bathing suit this summer. I will wait till after the babies are born. ;) Andrew has his next appt next week I think. He is doing well, he has his moments at times where I have to look at him and tell him to calm down. He gets frustrated so fast with things. He just needs time off to relax but alas, he still hasn't been approved for leave. Damn Army... hurry up and wait! :x

Nanine - I remember you from somewhere, another thread perhaps? I am glad you are doing well and all three babies! Since they are all over 4 pounds things should be pretty smooth from now on right? I hope you come back and tell us as often as you can how you are and those little angels of yours! Have you picked out names or waiting until you meet them? Oh, and thank you for your 2 cents. The hormones might have something to do with how it bothers us so much, but I think it's the moral of the whole issue that makes us unique women more sensitive to it as well. I am sure a year from now, after all of our babies are born and hormones back to normal, we might think of it and if we do, we will still be disturbed by it all. So, you are NOT a raving lunatic!! Take care of you and those precious babies! Glad you could stop in and introduce yourself to everyone!

Natasha - I hope your able to sleep soon. I am having issues too but because of my hips mostly. Maybe try some tylenol pm or benadryl? I can't wait till Saturday! That is something to look forward to. :) As far as the tragedy, that is just heartbreaking. My heart goes out to you and your DH's family for having to deal with such a loss! As far as your RE treating you like a normal pregnancy, no restrictions... a normal pregnancy still has restrictions. If you have to lift double your weight for your job, unfortunately that shouldn't happen. Anything over ten pounds can cause miscarriage. I was doing too much with my first pregnancy and it caused a placental abrubtion and I almost lost my oldest then. Luckily I was full term, I was doing too much because I was nesting, trying to prepare for her arrival. If your job requires you to lift over 10 lbs, I hope there is something else they can have you do while your are pregnant?? Take it easy baby mama! You worked too hard for this. :)

Hazel - So good to hear from you! I have had your family in my thoughts. I am sorry to hear that it is cancer. Trust me when I say I know what all you are and will go through. My mom passed from ovarian and my ex MIL past from pacriatic. I hope the chemo and vaccine trial will help prolong and give him better quality of life! :) I am sure he wants to soak up as much time as he can to get to know your little angel. :)
As far as twin mommies beating you to labor and delivery... girl I hope I am not one of those. lol I want so badly for mine to thoroughly cook before they come out. lol Baby boy's name is Ethan Andrew actually, he brought up Jay for the middle at first but liked Andrew better. But yes, I do come up with nicknames often. Andrew hasn't let me use anything on him except the usual terms of endearment. lol My dog though, her name is Rizzo but I call her poopy instead of puppy, stinky baby, poo poo face and many others. Don't worry about your weight by the way, you look great! Although the weight might be piling on, it looks like it's all baby. I might have only gained a pound, but the 30 from cycling has held on very strong and what the babies are sucking from. lol I am hoping that I will be thinner after giving birth. I feel like a blimp, but a happy blimp! :)

Katie - I am feeling fine. Still not quite liking how Angelina won't move much on the left side. Sometimes I catch movement at the bottom left or in the middle, but Ethan is always moving all over the right side of me. So I wish I could feel her just as active, but I am sure I will in a week or two when they are even bigger and she can't huddle over to one side with her brother anymore. I am ok with Andrew calling her by her first name even if I don't. He might catch on to it too, who knows. I might end up calling her by her first name too, along with a few other nicknames. lol As they grow older and start to show their personalities, I am sure I will have a few for each of them. I hope you and Chris can figure out a name before she is born. lol Is he coming around to any of them yet? It's so awesome she is moving all over the place in there. Pretty soon she will be beating you up. Has Chris been able to catch any movement? It seems everytime there is strong enough movement, Andrew isn't around or just misses it. Then again, I almost think that his hand calms them or something because I will feel it on my hand and he puts his there and nothing at all! It's like come on children! Oh well, soon enough, soon enough. I am so impatient aren't I? lol

Hi everyone -

I see you all had another typing fest today -lol. Well i feel like I wasted my day waiting for this huge thunderstorm that we were supposed to get. So far its now 3pm and it looks like the sun is about to come out - grrr! There wont be too many more cool days and I just wasted one - argh! At this point I just want to get this stupid deck finished already so we can get started on switching the offce space and the spare room - its still amazing to think that we'll be setting up a nursery! I wouldnt wish infertility on my worst enemy, what a long journey this has been. Oh, and now Chris has decided to replace a few deck boards so if I should ever get the time consuming railings finished (thats whats taking so long trying to paint chocolate brown around all the latticework without smearing it on the lattice) then i have to get backed up waiting for him to do his part? ugh - this is turning into the never ending project.

Nanine - OMG Mama! 32 weeks already? When did that happen? I swear you just got your BFP a few months ago - where does the time go? I'm so happy to hear from you! Are you able to sleep ok? I would imagine that you're kind of uncomfortable by now. i cant believe that you're going to have 3 little miracles in just 2 more weeks! its so exciting! And at over 4 lbs each I'll bet you're pretty eager too. And no, you dont sound like a hormonal lunatic at all - please dont stress that! That woman upset all of us on so many levels. I guess if you've never dealt with the pain of infertility you couldnt understand how much it took each of us to finally get here. But dont worry yourself over that nonsense. Are you ready for the triplets to arrive? Hmmm, naming the girl Katie? I must say it has a certain ring to it - Ha Ha - love it! Do you have your boys names yet? Take it easy these last 2 weeks and try your best to rest up now I have a funny feeling that sleep will be a luxery soon! Please let us know how it goes - much love - xoxo

Hazel - And you're at 28 wks already! jeez - the time is really flying now, isnt it? Dont stress weight now, Zorba will take what he/she needs and with your athletic build the baby weight will judt fall off afterwards, I'm sure of it. Have you done any shopping yet? I know that you've got a lot on your plate right now but I was wondering if you felt as overwhelmed by these baby stores and their thousands of choices, like me? I feel so unprepared
I'm sorry that it is pancreatic cancer, but at least we can hope that between the chemo and this "vaccine" that his time will be extended. And perhaps the vaccine will work wonders, I truly hope so. I'm so glad that he will have time to spend with his grandchild, cherish all the time you've got with him. xoxoxo

Claudia - Oh no honey, dont you feel guilty at all! That woman had us all biting our tongues for a long time for the sake of a civil conversation. Please dont feel funny about your question for one second. It was inevitable. Now yippee for lillte Flick jumping all over the place! isnt it an amazing feeling? And what? you know that you have the cutest bump ever and you'll be looking like a hot mama in your swimsuit!

Steph - Argh! I thought that his leave would have been approved already, boy the Army takes its own time doesnt it? So very frustrating. will they really cut his days if it takes too long to finally get approved? I think that your little girl is a total cuddlebug, she's gonna have to move over soon though before theres no room for that - lol You know she's a girl because she already has a girl mentality ( that side is mine , but I'll have some of yours too!) Kind of like how we share closets, see how early this stuff starts? lol. I felt a big kick or something last night as soon as I was readt to go to sleep, of course. i hope this one isnt a night owl like me. And no, Chris has bad timing too so far, last night would have been perfect to feel her, but of course he was already asleep.
You're too funny with the nicknames, Gracie also goes by: Doodles, Sloberella, SlobberPuss, Poopenstein. What? she's a huge dog so she goes ALOT - its ok to make fun of her sometimes, and the funnt part is that she'll answer to all of them - - xoxo

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxo

Natasha - Ooops, i'm sorry I forgot you
Oh honey that was just tragic to happen to a 2yo baby. I'm so sorry. I can just imagine how her poor parents are feeling right now. No one should have to endure something like that. But I'm worried for you also, having to lift twice your weight is hard enough when you're not pregnant, but I'd make sure your OB knows exactly how much lifting you'll need to do when/if you go back to your job. I was an CNA before an LPN so I know just what you're talking about. its a hard job. Please be careful. I've got my fingers crossed for a great u/s and you seeing the HB on Sat.! And yay for no m/s yet, hopefully not at all - xoxo

Katie - He should have been on leave as of midnight the 3rd of June. He had 20 use or lose days and as of now, he only has 7 left. I am hoping that the 1SG has a heart somewhere in there and stops screwing around and approves this and makes up the days he forced him to lose. He deserves and needs the time off. Heck, we all need him to calm down and relax a bit. lol If it doesn't get approved by the 23rd then all of his days are lost. All we can do is hope Top gives him free days off. You made me laugh out loud when you said, see how early this stuff starts. She is definately a cuddle bug... that's another nickname for my dog though, so I might not use that one often. LOL Sorry you missed a cool day. Darn them meteorologists! I am so happy you are feeling baby girl a lot more, even if Chris misses it. Soon he will be catching it though.

Speaking about catching the baby move, Alex caught Ethan moving around. Well, at least I think it was him since it was on my right side. She felt it twice and Andrew got a little poopy when I told him since he hoped to be the one to feel them move first. I did however give in to getting a doppler, a simple cheap one from Amazon. I figure this will help me with knowing my little girl is ok since she doesn't want to move enough to make mommy feel better. lol Depending on how long it takes to process, I should get it in a day or two to a week. We also just got a bunch of clothes for 30c a piece, both girl and boy so we are set for the first 9 months or so. They are all so little and cute and a lot of them name brand. It's so funny when we go through it watching Andrew. He sees them and starts talking baby talk and saying how cute and little the clothes are. So we made a nice dent in the clothes but sucking on furniture still. lol We will get there soon enough though. :)

stephanie , claudia & katie- Im hoping i dont have to go back to just because of the lifting if i did anything else i'd work the whole pregnancy. so we'll see soon i no just as much as you ladies know that lifing too much isnt good. and these dr's and nurses dont know the exact pain we all go thru unless they been thru this. i mean it a miracle im pregnant i was beginning to think that i wasnt able to have kids so i definetly dont want to risk it at all. these progesterone shots hurt so bad i cant wait to get off them. well have a nice rest of the week and weekend ladies

Hello again everyone,

Imagine this- I'm up at this computer 2 days in a row!! I know I'm on bedrest now, but I really just cannot get comfortable anywhere!

Katie- I am so excited for you. When I read about you setting up the nursery, I got chills. :D It's so wonderful! And I cannot believe I am 33 weeks already too! It does feel like I just found out a few days ago that I was pregnant. We are not sure where the time has gone because we are certainly not ready yet. :D I guess we'll make due when they do get here. I still have trouble believing there are 3 babies in there. I think it will not sink in until I am holding my precious babies in just a couple of weeks. As for being uncomfortable- I am extremely uncomfortable. My Dr has told me if I am too uncomfortable that it would be ok to have the babies now since they will be ok. I just can't give in to being uncomfortable and not giving them more time to grow and mature, so I'm holding on. As for names we have Aidan James, Matthew Christian, and Kaitlyn Ann. We like the name Katie, but are unsure about giving her that as her official name so we are thinking of naming her Kaitlyn and calling her Katie. What do you think?

Stephanie- Yes, thankfully since the babies are all over 4lbs and they are all still pretty close in weight they should all be ok. I see a perinatal specialist every week in addition to my ob so I am spoiled with scans. Each does a scan every time I go in. The specialist does a very long detailed scan on each baby so we know that they are all healthy and doing wonderfully. It's funny tho, because even tho I see them every week, I still cannot believe there are 3 of them in there! :D I also think you are right that even a year from now we would all look back on the Helene situation and be disturbed by it. I would think that even someone who has not struggled with infertility would find a problem in a situation where someone could carry a baby in their womb and not think twice about giving it up if it's not the 'preferred gender'.

I hope you are all doing well. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Hello all! It's a beautiful day here in the UK, and I've just had a sneaky hour in the garden lying in the sun this afternoon. I think Zorba might turn out to be a sun worshipper like his/her Mum, as there was an extraordinary amount of bouncing around going on in my stomach during the time I was out there! I have to say that I'm loving being back home for a while, and being able to potter around doing chores over a few days rather than race around cramming them in before taking off to my parents again.

Nanine - how lovely to hear from you and to hear that things are going so well. I can't believe you're at 33 weeks, you've done amazingly well with three good sized babies fighting for space in there! It won't be long until you meet your little ones, how exciting!

claudia - yay for Flick getting active, wow you're feeling it really early! How are you finding the antenatal yoga? I've just started it as well (second class was this Monday just gone) and I have to say I love it, although at 28 weeks with a beach ball stomach it feels like quite hard work! I'm still playing 18 holes of golf, but an hour of yoga is way harder than 4 hours of golf...

natasha - forgot to say welcome to the thread when I posted yesterday! Good luck for your u/s on Saturday, and hope that tomorrow goes as well as these things can.

Steph - bless you, thank you for your kind words about Dad. It's obviously going to be hard, but for now I'm just trying to be thankful that we should get a bit more time with him than we feared, and of course that he will get to meet Zorba is something I so badly wanted for him. Ooops, sorry about mixing up the Ethan Jay and Ethan Andrew, my fault for trying to read the posts too quickly to catch up with everyone! OK, so maybe it'll be a little early for you to beat me to delivery, but I reckon Karen might give me a run for my money!!

Katie - no, not much shopping accomplished yet, but we've started to get a feel for the range of buggies/car seats out there (those are going to be the two hardest choices, I think) and are off to a department store tomorrow to check out our buggy shortlist and hopefully make a decision. We'll also take a look at nursery furniture so we can try and get that ordered soon as well - our neighbour came over last weekend to help DH move furniture around so we now have an empty room which is just begging to be turned into a cute nursery! The only things we've got so far are a baby monitor (present from the same neighbours as a little nudge to remind us to start buying what we need!), a little baby bath and a couple of Grobags (nighttime sleeping bag things, not sure whether you have the 'Grobag' brand in the US). We really need to get going on the bigger stuff! What about you two - have you made any decisions on what you're going to buy (or actually bought stuff yet)?

Hello Ladies- Sorry for being MIA lately. I have been without internet service since Monday and they had the nerve to tell me someone can come out this Saturday to fix it!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe 6 whole days ... I am using wireless right now while I am out in the field at work today and have a signal.

Anyways, I haven’t been able to read and catch up w/ you ladies so hopefully once my service is restored I can post more this weekend.

AFM- I am doing well just having a few aches and pains here and there but the severe headaches and nausea are gone for now!! My high risk OB called today and told me when I was in there office on Monday the urine that they collected showed that I could possibly have a small urinary infection … I thought to myself why didn’t they check the urine w/ the strips while I was there. I only live an hour away???? They said can you come back in for another urine sample? Well you ladies would be proud of me, instead of me getting upset, I said ok I will come back Monday after my u/s. I guess these people don’t think that I work. It is impossible to keep getting this time off from work. It needs to be a little more organized from here on out. I hope that it is not going to be a problem in the future.

Angela - Sorry to hear about your internet. I am getting rid of my cable, Time Warner charges way too much. Going o go wih DSL and my wireless. I figure we can save the money anyway and perhaps I won't get kicked off all the time. lol I am constantly having to trouble shoot. Anyway... Glad you're feeling better though sorry to hear you are having issues with the scheduling. An hour away each visit mus be tough, especially when you are working. Why can't they just prescribe you an antibiotic? I have known women to call and tell their doc they have a UTI and get a script without even going in.

Hazel - Must be nice to get outside and enjoy it. Me, not so much. lol The heat here is horrible and I can't stay out in it long without getting drained or raising my temp. No worries on missing the name a bit, you weren't too far off. lol Is Zorba going to have a proper name soon? Do you think Zorba will sick as a nickname even after birth? I could see that happening. :)

Nanine - Glad to see you back so soon! That is very unselfish of you to put up with being so uncomfortable for your babies. You are such a good mommy already! Bed rest must not be any fun at all right now. You made it to the computer though. lol Maybe it would be good to use a lap top? ;) I know what you mean about how you can't believe there are three in there, I am sill trying to picture two being on the outside. I know there are two in there, but it hasn't sunk in that they will be out a some point. lol I love the names your picked. Very sweet and I like the spelling you chose for your little girl and giving her the nickname Katie or even spelling it Kaitie? :)

Natasha - I hope that you will be able to be on light duty or something. So you are a nurse? That makes sense on why you would have to lift so much, but I still would hope they could do something so you don't have to lift and can do paperwork or triage or something that doesn't involve lifting so you can still work?? I know those darn prog shots suck balls. My arse was sore for months and I have some nerve damage as a result. Going through this last FET cycle was worse, higher dosage and I had to keep getting the shots unil almost 13 weeks. I feel for you, I really do. As well as he issues with DH. Something as simple as rubbing the injection sights help but being a man I guess they do forget at times what all is happening to us. Yes, finally preggers, but you still need help and emotional support. My DH started to disconnect there for a while. I had to talk to him to find out what his reasoning was and what he said surprised me. He was scared and was afraid of getting hurt if something bad were to happen. So maybe, your DH is the same way? They might not understand us at all, but sometimes they can surprise us with something we never knew they were going through underneath. Just talk with each other, keep communication flowing... you both need one another.

How are the rest of you mommies?

HI girls,

As usual i am way behind!! Sorry i have been MIA but we are dealing with a family emerg. my sis partner (they have a little boy together) was in a very serious accident at the wkend and was in an induced coma and on life support he is only 22. Thank God he was taken out of induced coma today and he is fine (mentally is another thing, unfortunatly it was a moment of madness after drinking and had an arguement with my sis and he shot himself so its a miracle he is alive) he is one of the nicest and calmest lad you could meet and the best dad to his son and now they have been given a 2nd chance, so ye can see it has been very eventful here.

Seems i have missed a lot but will admit glad to hear ye were feeling the same things as i did about helenes bizzare mental behaviour. I cant imagine how anyone could give up a baby due to its gender my goodness us ivfers would cut off our arms just to have a healthy baby. Plus i could never figure out why you would want to get pg so quickly after having a special needs baby who clearly deserves his moms full attention for at least the first few yrs of his life.

Steph cant believe you havent heard if Andrew has gotten his leave yet! Isnt it so cute Alex got to feel Ethan (lovely names by the way) Andrew will get his turn soon.

Nanine wow still here at 33 wks with triplets isnt that wonderful, i cant even begin to imagine how uncomfortable you are at the moment but i just know you wouldnt trade it for anything in the world. Best of luck not long now!!!

Claudia how cool you are feeling Flick so early, i agree with Steph for some reason i have always thought it was a boy...will we be proven right!!! Are you gonna find out??

Natasha Oh i am so sorry to hear about that poor little girl how absolutly tragic, the poor parents my heart breaks for their loss.

Katie arent you sick of painting that darn deck yet  you make me tired just thinking of it!!!! Though your little girl seems to be loving it.

Hazel i know its still devasting to hear about how long your dad has left but i so admire his attitude and with the help of God he will bring plenty of memories of his grandchild with him. I cant believe you are 28 wks already i always keep telling myself when you give birth i should be around 28 wks so cant wait to see your ticker move!!

Angela glad to hear you are doing well, sorry about the uti.

Oh now i cant remember anymore so its not intentional!!! AFM think i am feeling more movement its either a thump sensation or a tickle/bubble sensation though now i am getting greedy and want it to happen more often!!!

gi xxx
