**February 2011 Babies**

Hi. I'm new to this whole message board thing, but looking forward to finding others that are due in February 2011!
After over 4 years of ART (which includes over 6 IUIs and 4 IVFs) I received the wonderful BFP last week!!! My second beta showed my value tripled! I'm current at 5 wks 5days. We went in on Monday and saw two sacs! We go back on Monday to hopefully see some cardiac activity. If there's anyone else due in February, I'd love to be able to share with others who are also going through this experience.

YEAH Mev! Congrats on your BFP! I should be close to 6 weeks but the Dr will give me a definite date when we go in for our first u/s on Friday. I am dying to know how many sacs they will find and if they are going to end up being viable. Such a roller coaster ride we are on. If I am figuring it out right, I will be due around Feb 11, 2011. There are a few others from the MAY TTC board that would be due with us too. So cheers to finally making it to this side and here's to a very successful pregnancy.

Kind of crashing here... part of the winter cycle friends, I am not due in February though I wanted to congratulate you both on your BFP!! Great to see more mommies over on the pg side.

PA - Those are some high beta numbers! My level was 826 at 14dpt and I have twins!! Hope you are prepared for the possiblilty of more then one. How many did they transfer if I may ask? I had three transfered and two stuck.

PA - Hi and so nice to meet you! Congrats to you too! Looks like we're on the same schedule. We transferred 3 embryos.
My ET was 05/24/10 so most of the online due date calendars I've used also put me with a due date of 2/11/11, as well!
My first beta on 06/07/10 (14dpt) was 560 and the second on 6/9/10 (16dpt) was 1759! As I mentioned earlier we had an U/S on 6/14 that showed two sacs. We go back on 06/21 to see cardiac activity then my RE is releasing me to my OB.
I can't wait until Monday, I'm still not using the "P" word or the "T" word. Just not yet - but I'm cautiously optimistic!
Have you told any family or friends yet? My immediate family knows everything, I call them after each "milestone" that we've reached I told several friends because I had been asking them for their good thoughts - positive vibes - prayers, so they basically knew when I told them to keep it going! I don't plan on telling anyone that I have "T" until later, at least until out of the first trimester.

Steph - Thanks for the well wishes. Maybe you can give some pointers on things you would advise other moms-to-be carrying "T"s! I'd love to hear any words of wisdom from your pregnancy and moving forward! Great to meet you both!

Mev - I totally missed the two sacs, shame on me for reading too fast!! Congrats!! I was just like you. I was 5w3d?? I think when we first thought we saw 2 sacs at an ER visit. DH was saying twins after that but I was cautious, after all it was an abdominal u/s and an ER doc, not an OB or RE. Sure enough at a follow up radiology u/s and at my RE office, two babies with strong heartbeats. Keep thinking positive and only tell those who will fill those positive thoughts until you are comfortable screaming it from roof tops. I am glad to offer advice! You are welcome to join the winter cycle friends too, and get even more advice! There are people still joining and I know of one due in Feb as well. I am fine teeter tottering from thread to thread. lol

Steph- They transferred 3. I have been looking at everyone's betas like a mad woman! I have to say I have been keeping up with your winter cycle friends board for something to do. You have had some VERY shocking things go on this week! Anyhow, I am kind of hoping for twins. I would love b/g twins. I am very prepared to hear that on Friday. If it is more I may fall off the table!

Mev- My transfer was 2 days after yours 5/26. Maybe I am figuring out the due date wrong? Oh well...Dr will fill me in on Friday. I did things a bit different. I didn't respond well to Clomid for our IUI cycle so they converted it to IVM. They actually can pull out immature eggs and make them mature in the lab and then continue as if it was always an IVF cycle. So fascinating how far medical technology has come.

Mine are actually due January 28th, but close enough. I am due with my second set of twins, and I am thrilled! We transferred two blasts and they both took. This was our second journey through infertility, we also had trouble conceiving our first two. I have seen the heartbeats twice and I will be transferred to my OB in about 3 weeks!

Pa - Yes, this week someone made a few heads roll, but glad that is over. lol I hope you get your wish tomorrow! Good luck and I hope you stay on the table if it happens to be more. Don't need you hurting yourself.

Hi Everyone!

Steph - Thanks for your note offering advice. I asked this on another thread, but if you have any reading recommendations that would be great! Purplefish (who we know is on her 2nd set of twins! YAY) recommended "When you're expecting twins, triplets, or quads" by Barbara Luke so I made my reservation at my local library and hope to get it next week.

PA_FA - I think we're still on the same due date as I had a 3dt on 5/24 and I'm assuming you had a 5dt on 5/26? Either way we're pretty close and if it does turn out that you see two sacs tomorrow we're both probably going to have due dates before 2/11/11 I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and checking this board to get your update!!!!

Purplefish - Great to see you here too! I think since we're probably having 2, my due date will bump into January as well.
How many weeks were your 1st set of twins?

Okay - so maybe this should be a twin thread!?! Also, a friend recommended I keep a pregnancy journal to keep organized, jot down my weight, and all. Anyone have any suggestions? THANKS!

mev - I went to 36 weeks with the first set of twins. They actually weren't ready to come out yet, but my blood pressure got too high. They were 7lbs 2oz and 5lbs 6oz, and I am happy to say they spent no time in the NICU. I like to give people positive stories since the first time I was pregnant everyone felt the need to tell me random twin horror stories. I would also recommend to have an OB that has lots experience delivering twins, I think it makes a big difference. When do you go back for your next ultrasound?

just wanted to thread crash and send you a positive twins pregnancy birth story !! I had an uneventful (thankfully) pregnancy with low blood pressure and diet control gestational diabetes (did still manage chocolate and cakes!) and was in duced at 38 weeks - no bed rest ended up however having a section as Benjamin tipped his head back in birth canal and no way he was going to come out !!

even the c section was clam and controlled and no where near as scary as thought it would be .. recovery was ok after the first week too - just initial tightness and not been able to lift the babies! Both were good weights - 7lb 9 and 16lb 13 and no time in special care - home after 3 days !!!

They are now 4 months old and are my life any questions just ask !! - don't often get chance to post but do read most days !!

mev - I just wanted to add don't let the book scare you. I think at times it has a gloom and doom attitude, but it also has lots of very useful information. How are you feeling?

Hi everyone! Just got back from Toronto and of course the first thing I did when I got home was log in to see how everyone is doing!

EShepherd - Welcome and Congratulations to you!

purpleFish - 36 weeks - that's fantastic and no NICU is great! I go back tomorrow already for my 2nd U/S. I am so grateful to be able to go in again just one week later. After seeing all the posts about having to wait such a long time in between I've been very lucky with my RE and appts. I'm still nervous, we saw the two sacs last week but I'm hoping to see cardiac activity in both tomorrow, I know it's early, I'll be 6 wks 3 days post ER, but RE was confident we'll be able to see it
I've been feeling fine actually, these last few days I haven't really been feeling any symptoms - which makes me really nervous. I prefer to have the queasiness because then I know it's still true It may just be that it was a busy weekend with visiting family, going to cousin's wedding, and helping my sister with my niece's 7th birthday! So as I said, happy to be able to go back tomorrow to see what's going on! I'm so nervous! All this waiting and looking forward to good news tomorrow!

Wishfull27- Thanks for your post and your positive twins pregnancy story! 38 weeks! That's great. I'll definitely start asking questions once I know what questions to ask!?! Hope you're getting some rest with your 4-month-olds!!!!

PA_FA - Saw your post on the other board, Congrats on your bean! How are you feeling? Hope you had a great weekend!

I'll post again after my U/S tomorrow. It's scheduled for 3p CT, but he was running 2 hrs late last week so who know when he'll actually see us tomorrow!

Hi Ladies! I forget to post here too since I've also been on the May Cycle Buddies.

Quick update, we had our 2nd U/S yesterday at 6w3d, saw heart contractions in BOTH embryos! So exciting! RE is releasing us to our regular Ob/Gyn. We're all done seeing him, he just asked that we promise the send pictures We have our first Ob appt on Wednesday and I, of course, have a whole page of questions ready for her!

He also said I could stop the Estrace and E2 vaginal suppositories (yay!). I have one more week of Crinone 8% gel, and 3 more weeks of baby aspirin. Then I'll only be on Prenatal vitamins and folic acid.

So, now that we've seen heart contractions I now feel comfortable using the words "I'm pregnant" and "twins". I even went to the library to pick up a few books. On the hunt for a good pregnancy journal. Hope everyone is doing well!

Looking forward to my first official Ob appt tomorrow morning!
