Nanine- So wonderful to hear from you and that all is well. I can't tell you how happy to hear you are at 33 weeks and all looks wonderful. I have twins and today marks 21 weeks and 2 days. My goal is to make it to 36 wks. Each baby is about 14 oz...almost a pound. I had to have a cerclage put on my cervix due to shortened at 19 1/2 weeks. All is holding well, thank God. I love the names you picked out! My DH doesn't want to know the sexes...I know for sure one is a girl (name will be Lillian). So can't share with him. The other the doc thinks is a girl too but he isn't 100% sure. I was on bedrest but was upgraded to "limited activity" so atleast I can do some light activites (quick trips to grocery, laundry, cook a quick meal). But I do rest alot...probably more than needed but I want to keep pressure off of my cervix. I'm sure in a months time I won't feel like doing anything!!!! Regarding Helene...I just couldn't take her psycho banter anymore. Something is definitely wrong with that family and way of thinking. Talk about taking life for granted.

Natasha- my back started to ache early in pregnancy...about where you are until about 9 weeks...then it went away. Now it comes and goes daily but given my belly is expanding ALOT with twins...it's very obvious why. I hope your pregnancy is healthy and uneventful!

Hazel- I'm happy you are doing well. Your father-in-law is in my prayers for peace. I can't imagine how difficult it must be.

AFM- Had a doc appt today...which turned out to be perfect timing b/c I had a scare early this morning. I started to notice a TON of snotty, mucous looking discharge the color of light butterscotch. I looked like my vagina had a cold...and of course I was convinced my mucous plug dislodged. Turned out to be residue build up from the Prometrium inserts. My cervix is holding length, closed and tight. So for any of you taking Prometrium, if you notice this side effect, don't freak out like I did! ugh. Is pregnancy a roller coaster ride or what!!!

I'm hope everyone else is doing well, happy, healthy! xoxoxoxo Karen

Karen - So good to hear from you! Glad everything is looking great!! :D LOVE good news! That discharge mus have been a worry though I am glad it was just a stupid side effect. Also good to know the babies are moving around in there, even if they are just little pokes and prods. Just imagine the kicks and punches when they gain a few pounds. lol Can you believe that they are going o be gaining so much weight this second half of the pregnancy? Boy this is going o be a fun ride... I am already s heavy in my belly! The belt I bought helps though I have to remember to wear it when I know I will be on my feet for a while.

Gi - Welcome back from MIA land, though I wish you could have been gone on better circumstances. I am glad he got a second chance, I hope he uses it wisely. One of my best friends growing up, her brother did the same thing only he did it to the point of no return. So your sister and her partner are very lucky. She is also lucky she didn't get injured in the process. They are in my thoughts! As far as Andrew's leave... I don't see him getting it at all now. All we can hope for is they give him free days because they wasted all of his admin days.

AFM - Andrew finally felt, what I believe to be the football/soccer player of the two (Ethan) kick last night. Though I had to make him move by putting something cold on my belly. He sure enough didn't like it much, but instead of moving away from the cold, he kicked it as if to be saying... get that away from me. lol Now, I assure you I wasn't being mean, I only held it there for a short time, maybe 5-10 seconds and then put my hand there. I felt him move and Andrew asked if I was sure I felt it on the outside, I said yes. So he quickly replaced my hand with his and with hardly a wait, he felt a kick. He said, "There is was!!" and then again another kick and he said, "There is was again!!!" He was so happy and excited it made me so happy to witness. The look on his face was definately something that will be burned in my memory. I need to jot down the date and put it in the baby book or something. lol Now if only the cuddler would kick hard enough. Being the typical girl, maybe she is jus soft in nature? ;)

Hi everyone -

Well the battle of the names continues, now Chris says he's set on Ryan, but I am stil pushing for Caitlin. I really would like to get this settled already, hopefully one of them will be the clear winner soon. I cant write too much since its time for more painting - arghh! i'm starting to wish that I never took on this big project - it seems to go on forever. Anyway i just wanted to check in with you all and see how all my preggo friends are doing. Everyone please go easy its supposed to be awfully hot this weekend. Gee I cant wait til the belly gets really big & uncomfortable and see how much I hate the hot weather then!

Steph - UGH! They're eating up 2 weeks of leave time? Thats so not right. I sure hope that they give some back and just approve the darn thing already!
Aw, I think that baby girl will be kickboxing you soon, and hopefullly your dopplar comes today and will give you that peace of mind before she starts playing soccor with her brother. Yippee for getting clothes galore til they're almost 1yo! I looked on craigslist also, but didnt see anything worth geting excited about. I'm crossed that your dad's wife gets on the ball soon and keeps her word. I'm worried that you wont get it all done in time just case of bed rest - although I'm sure Andrew would do a fine job if he had to finish decorating by himself. - xoxo

Nanine - Whoo Hooo computer time 2 days in a row! Love to hear from you! I think all 3 names you've picked are beautiful. We're so similar on names, Chris wanted Samantha for the longest time and just recently got hooked on Ryan instead which was my boy's name choice. Kaitlin can have the choice of using abbrieviation or not when she's older. Yes, i can believe that its surreal to think there will be 3 babies in 3 short weeks! Eeeek! but so very exciting too!

Natasha - Exactly! we spent too long trying to get pg to take any unneccessary risks at this point. Good luck at your u/s tomorrow! Cant wait to hear what they say, and ghow your OB feels about all that lifting too.

Hazel - Oooh, time in garden in the sun sounds like heaven. We have sleep sacks here too but I dont know if we have the Grobag brand, I was thinking of the Halo brand. What a cute little invention they are, too adorable. We've looked online at nursery furniture but so far all we've bought is the infant carrier and stroller combo it was on a sale too good to pass up. But the "things to buy" list is soooo long. I hope you find everything you're looking for this weekend. But then again with so many things to have to get how could we get it all done in 1 trip? Enjoy your shopping extravaganza! At least you've got the room all cleared out, thats half the battle, isnt it?

Angela - Ugh - i hate when the internet goes out and they take a while to fix it - so frustrating! Crossed that you dont have a UTI

Gi - OMG I cant believe your sis's DP shot himself. He's just lucky to be alive at all! Prayers for your family. Glad to hear that little Kayla is starting to move around now - it gives you such peace of mind, doesnt it? say hi to your Mam! xoxo

Karen - Lillian is a beautiful name! Oh what good timing to have your Dr appt right when you just had a scare, glad its just residue from the pills.
Shoud I update your name on the list to 1 girl & 1 surprise? or do you want me to wait until the second baby is official?

OK back to painting - ugh will this ever be done? - xoxoxo

Steph - That is too sweet that Andrew finally got to feel your little soccor player Ethan! I'll have to remember that soda can trick since it seems to work so well. Maybe she is just watching her brother to see when she should kick mommy? lol - xoxo

Wow, maybe I should remove the notifications. I feel like I have been posting like a mad woman ever since I did! lol When my phone beeps, I can't help but look and see how everyone is doing though. I guess I am addicted to you fine ladies! ;)

Katie - Hopefully the name battle will be over soon. What about Caitlin Ryan? Andrew was willing to compromise with Ethan Andrew so maybe??? I hope your deck is almost done so you can relax a bit. You have been so busy with chores and errands. A women's job is never done is it? I really wish I could do more, but we just don't have anything to get done. lol The house is good, just need to fill the nursery with baby stuff. I have some of the clothes hung up, just need to thieve some of Alex's old hangers and the closet will be full. I will be putting all the onsies and sleepers in the dressers as soon as I get them. I also have to put them in size order. That's about all I can do as far as nesting goes until we get more stuff. Andrew is out on a transmission job now making 500 so we will be able to get the second crib and something else. That will be exciting! The doppler is still processing and hasn't been shipped yet. UGH! Should be here by the 22nd it said. I can't wait till it does get here, I want to record the heartbeats and file it and send to the grandparents as well. Oh and his leave, yeah it sucks! He actually loses 20 days so just shy of 3 weeks. If he has to, he will use his regular leave just to get the hell out of here for a little while. I still want his command to give him free days, after all they are the ones who fucked up and we have the proof now!

Steph- what belt did you buy? I got the one that just wraps under your belly with a small strap that goes over the belly. I hate it. I feels like it only puts more pressure instead of giving support. I just ordered today the adjustable prenatal cradle. I hope to hell it works b/c like you my belly feels heavy already. And I want to do all I can to alleviate pressure from my cervix. Not to mention my back aches are more frequent now due to the growth! I know what you mean about all the weight that is to be gained on each baby. Mine are around 14 oz each...so that means we have atleast 3.5-4.5 pounds to put on for EACH baby! OMG. I can't imagine how miserable we are going to be! DH and I are buying a deep freezer for the garage so that I can make things ahead and freeze them. Lord only knows my cooking time is dwindling!

Katie- Just put one girl and a surprise. If we are able to confirm 100% the second one, then I"ll let ya know! You be careful with the painting! The fumes are not good for pregnant ladies! Not to mention your poor back much ache like nobodies business!

Big hug to everyone else! Hope you all have a great weekend and to all of your DH's that are already fathers, have a great father's day!

Karen - I have no idea what the name of the belt is. I can't say that it is too comfy though it does take the weight off. I have to wear granny panties or something under it so that it doesn't irritate my bear skin. It is just a white stetchy belt that velcrows in the front. It stays stable from being above the toosh and under the belly. I found a picture of what it looks like and will attach it below. I don't do much on a daily basis since I don't have a job anymore and there is simply nothing to do nor do I want to waste money finding things to do, not to mention going out in this heat sucks! So I don't get too uncomfortable that often. When we do go out, if I don't get to sit down frequently my belly really starts to hurt, but from the top not the bottom. However, my pelvic bone has become very sensitive, it hurts just to touch. Go figure, that is what the OB likes to push on when measuring the fundal height. lol Not looking forward to that now.

Katie – No, there is no part time at my job. If I cannot work my regular hours then I have to start taking FML (family medical leave). I am trying not to panic about the continual appointments, so I will just deal with everything one day at a time.

I can’t believe you are still working on the deck. I would have given up a long time ago … lol. I just can’t stand the smell of paint or anything like it! You are a strong women!

Hazel – Thanks for the advice w/ the appointments! I am so glad that you are back w/ us for awhile. I was wondering how your dad was doing but I just read one of your post about his biopsy. I am glad that they gave him more time to get to see his grand baby and spend quality time w/ your child. Those will be precious memories for everyone!

Natasha – I hope that your appointment went well today! I just read that you are going back to work. Please just remember to take it easy as much as possible because you are still pregnant and shouldn’t be lifting very heavy things. Whenever I have worked w/ pregnant nurses and nursing assistants they always asked for help w/ various things. So you might need to ask others for help w/ lifting and other duties. Sorry to hear about your little cousins who passed away. There have been so many reports of little kids drowning lately; I was just telling my DH that we are going to have to be very, very careful with our little one with our hot tub and pool.

Nanine – Hello! I am so very excited that your pregnancy is going so well! I am praying for 35 weeks for you also. Please let us know how you are progressing!

Claudia – please don’t feel bad … you have no control over others thoughts or actions. I am glad that you are feeling the flick … that is so exciting!

Stephanie – I love that Andrew felt Ethan kick … that is a very creative way to get him to move around in there! I am sorry to hear about Andrew’s leave, I was hoping that it would all work out.

Gi – I am so sorry to hear about your sister’s partner that is so very sad. I surely hope that he recovers well.

Karen – I am so happy to hear from you and that you are doing well! Sorry about the scare w/ the mucous discharge but I am glad that you got a good answer and provided us with a very good FYI … thanks!

By the way – I love the name Lillian!!! I also read that you bought a belly band also and I have to agree with you … I stopped wearing mine because it was putting more pressure on my uterus and causing it to hurt. I thought maybe I can use it more often once I get bigger … well I am already huge but I guess bigger … lol.

AFM – I finally got my internet service restored this morning. I am so far behind with my job because of the lack of the internet service, oh well. Well, I have my first u/s on Monday and I am hoping the tech can tell the sex of the baby. I know it is a little early but from what I have read the sex organs are recognizable by this Sunday for me! I will be out of touch next week for a few days as I have a business meeting, which is usually very intense and tiring! I started to drink a lot of cranberry juice to prevent and future UTI’s last night. I just hope my OB prescribes me the antibiotic on Monday and I get over this soon. I am not too uncomfortable right now but I know if left untreated it can affect your kidneys.

Angela - I hope you get to see the gender of the baby. I have a friend who is exactly to the day as far preggers as you are and she found out today that she is having a boy. Though my doc didn't want to even try that early so I guess it depends who you get. :)

Natasha - Hoping all went well today and you got to see the little ticker thumping away. :)

Good morning Ladies!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and had a great Father's Day with your dh's!

Narasha-so glad you got to see/hear a wonderful hb! When is your next scan?

Angela-hope your 13 week scan goes well and you are able to tell the gender!

Karen-so glad that your cervix is getting stronger and that you aren't on complete bedrest!

Afm-im of course freaking out because I haven't felt any flutters since Wednesday night...has this happened to anyone else? Is it normal for the movements to come and go? We don't get to see flick till next Wednesday so I hope I get some reassurance before then!

Claudia - I was reading this weekend and it said in cases like yours to drink something sugary, like apple juice, etc. Then they said to lay on your left side for 30mins. The sugar should get your baby moving.

Hi everyone -

Hope you all had a nice father's day weekend. I was thinking of getting Chris a card or something but then remembered that on mother's day I told him dont do anything to jinx it and that next year we'll celebrate both days for real. But I still kind of wish I at least got him a card. It was digustingly hot & humid all weekend so I didnt get too much done outside. If I'm really lucky and dont procrastinate at all, I think I can finish the deck today - and at this point that would make me so happy. I'll never take on such a big project pregnant again!

Steph - Oh, you're very lucky to not have to do any house projects before the twins come. I'm still crossed that they give Andrew free days to make up for the ones they burned up. Hope that comes through soon. And yippee for the second crib! I still cant get over how expensive all these baby things are. I still think you should check out any post ads for baby gear too, lots of babies on post I'm sure, so hopefully lots of baby stuff for sale too. Jeez, you're dad's wife is really dragging her darn feet!

Angela - So you'll stay working FT until close to delivery? That sounds rough. I hope that you'll be able to take enough mat leave afterewards though.
Yes, you definitely need a pool gate, luckily this house came with one so thats like 1 more thing off the the long list. Crossed for your u/s today and that the baby will be in the mood to show the u/s tech the goods. ugh, you poor girl you must be dying to see if your DH's dream was right. Good luck!

Claudia - My flutters were definitely on & off. There was a few days I felt nothing at all, it still happens now, but when I do feel something its a bit stronger now so I dont confuse it for stomach rumblings or gas. Relax honey it is totally normal. I'm going to try Angela's juice theory too. I'll try Steph's soda can trick when I'm a bit farther along. - xoxo

Natasha - I'm so glad that your appt went well and I do agree with your RE, lifting twice your body weight is just too darn risky. I know its hard to deal with just 1 income, but its better than taking a chance with this baby who took so long to get here :D

hugs& prayers to us all- xoxoxo
