Ghost any ideas about this?

Post by PA_FA »

Mev- I am so happy that he saw both heartbeats. I really hope they find the heartbeat on mine on Thu.

Sorry no personals really...I am kind of freaking out here. I just got to my hotel in Ireland. On the flight over I started spotting and cramping. We called medlink which is access to Drs in the sky. They told me to rest and not work so my crew....who was awesome...sat me down and made me go to sleep. When we landed in Ireland I was still cramping and spotting. A Dr met the flight and wants me to go to the hospital for an u/s. I don't know....no insurance here and if they tell me that I miscarried than I will cry the whole way home tomorrow. I am already trying not to freak out here. I am riding home as a passenger. I have called my dr and boss but it is only 630am on the east coast. It's almost noon here in Ireland. So...that was my eventful flight last night. So any advice anyone??? I feel so alone over here. Luckily one of my BFF is on the flight with me. Not so lucky...this happened to her a few years ago and she miscarried here at the same hotel. :( Sorry such a sad message today. Luck, baby dust and nothing but positive pregnancies for all of you wonderful ladies!

Hi Ladies
Nothing new to report here. Still impatiently waiting for my 1st u/s on 6/29. I'm convinced it's torture!

PA_FA-What a stressful time. Try to keep up the positive thoughts (I know much easier said that done I'm sure) Hoping for the best for you. Let us know.

Purple-How did your visit go?

Pep23 & Kamaile-I'm glad to see that I'm not the only super impatient one. Kamaile good luck with your scan today. Cant wait to hear about it.

Lisacb-Oh the dreaded scan wait.....7/7 hopefully the time passes quickly for you.

Bei-So glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better :D

Tess-Glad to hear that there was a jump in your numbers and that you are "proceeding with caution" wishing you the best.

Rio- How you doing? Hopefully this roller coaster ride is over soon for you :(

I only have a couple of mins. My betas are still rising so I test again on Wednesday and get another shot or not. I am researching other REs and so far I have Kaiser, Pacific fertility Clinic and Reproductive Science Center. All in CA

Tess - Great news on your betas sweetie! I wasn't trying to scare you I just don't want anyone to go through this. But it sounds promising, I will keep you in my prayers!!! As long as it is going up within the 60% I think it sounds great!!! another thing, once you reach 1000/2000 I think they can see something in US and you should ask for one! :)

Mev - congrats!!!!

PA-FA - hugs, hopefully it is nothing to worry about, take it easy and keep us posted. My RE had said as long as you are not soaking a pad it is ok. Bed rest (airplane first class rest!) And I will say a prayer for you hun!

kitty - it is torture!!!

bei - glad you are feeling better!

hey everyone! just had my u/s today with my RE. Saw the one bean, good size, with a heartbeat of 180! WOW! I have been released from my RE's office today and sent over to my OB. Luckily for me, i changed medical insurance so my new OB is gonna be my RE (he has two offices) and he said he wants to see me every week for check ups and ultrasounds...makes me wonder if i am high risk but he said IVF babies are more fragile than naturally conceived babies. Im so glad i changed insurances because prior to this i had Kaiser and there is no way they would see me every week...

Pafa- sorry to hear what happened to you...try not to stress...a friend of mine spotted all thru out her pregnancy and she even had one or two doctors tell her in the beginning of her pregnancy that it wasnt going to be a viable one....well long story short, she has a very handsome and healthy 17 month old boy right now...praying for the best for you~

Kitty- tell me about it...all these 2ww were making me crazy, thats why i was coming up with ways to try and get my betas and u/s done a little earlier lol

Has anyone heard from Baby RN? wondering how her u/s went...

Hope everyone else is doing well....God Bless

Hi all

PA_FA - my thoughts are with you and my fingers are definitely crossed. Let's hope that it's just spotting. It must be so difficult being away from home and not having your usual support crew around.

Kamile - congrats on a great 'real' scan and for entering the 'real' world of pregnancy. You've reminded me that I need to look at some decent health insurance.

Kitty - not too far away from your first ultrsound now. Hang in there.

Rio - depending on the results of my next HCG, I will definitely be asking for an ultrasound ASAP. May your next cycle not be too far down the road.

I asked for my next bloodtest to happen on Friday rather than next Monday. That way, I have the weekend to deal with whatever comes my way, rather than a full working week ahead!

Tess - unfortunately I found out the hard way that you have to take charge. I ended up ditching my RE and going to my OB who has been an angel through this. You need to be pushy, very pushy. Yes, definetely do it on Friday and not Monday, I got my fingers crossed it will be great news and you can celebrate this weekend! :)

PAFA- keeping you in my prayers!

Kamaile - congrats! Great HB!

AFM - going for another HCG this morning and praying it finally goes down...

Rio - I hope your numbers go down too...you need closure.

Pafa - I'm worried about you. I hope everything is going ok.

Kamaile & Mev- Yay on your scans and everythings sounds great with your beans

Tess - I will be praying for higher numbers for you on Friday.

AFM - I had my 3rd beta...or my "official first" one with the clinic and it was 2,337, which was 12p5dt (day 17). Had I not gotten the earlier ones, then I would have been surprised. The clinic found out about my other betas when they called the lab to get the one they had ordered. I can admit it that I'm not a patient person. Now...until my 7/7 scan!!

Hi All -

Rio - I'm thinking of you and sending prayers over you.

PAFA - I'ven had you in my thoughts and prayers and hope everything is okay.

Kamaile - Congrats on seeing your little bean and the heartbeat! Great news.

Tess - Putting in wishes for high numbers for you.

Lisacdb - Yeah for your betas!

Kittymom - I hope the next few days go quickly until your 1st U/S.

AFM - We had our first official OB appt today! We showed up late because I thought our appt was at 10:30a but it was at 10:00a, in the last few days I've also lost my iPod and Bluetooth. That is not like me at all....guess pregnesia has set in :(
OB Dr is excited for us was very thorough with exam and discussion knowing this is our first and via IVF. Won't see me again for a month, which is weird considering all the frequent appts we've had with IVF. Won't do doppler for heartbeat until week 12. No U/S until week 20, she'll send me to the high-risk clinic for those. I guess we were spoiled at the IVF clinic.

Nausea has definitely set it, I think vomiting is close behind as the dry heaves started this morning. And I am exhausted ALL the time. I read about it, I was told about it, but I had no idea how tired I would be. I can only stay awake for a few hours at a time before I have to lie down. Luckily I work from home most of the time, but I need to make some adjustments to my schedule to make this work!

PA - I am worried about you too and praying for you!

Rio - what an ordeal you have been through. I can't even imagine the struggle, I hope that it can come to a quick resolution for you.

mev - congrats on the twins! The first trimester and the last are the roughest. I have had (both times) killer morning sickness. They key is to keep a little bit of something in your stomach at all times, but not too much. It is rough, but around 12-14 weeks it gets better=) I bet you are tired, you are growing two little people! Try to get rest, and know it will pass.

Everyone was shocked and excited for us to be having a second set of twins. My mom especially couldn't believe it. I have been beat with my parents here. I have just collapsed into bed at night. The next 4 days I am off for a girls trip with my friend from college, I am so excited. I hope all you ladies have a great week!

Hi all!

Rio- So glad you are moving forward after all that has happened! I'm sure it has been so frustrating for you so I'm glad things are finally progressing.

Kitty- The waiting never ends! Hope it goes fast!

Pa_Fa- Thinking of you and hoping all is well. ((hugs))

purple- I bet that was a fun surprise for your family to learn you are having twins...again!!

mev- You have graduated to the OB. Yay! It's hard to adjust from so many appointments to once a month isn't it?! My nausea is in full swing as well. And the unbearable humidity here in the midwest is making me feel even more tired than usual. Ready for the 1st trimester to be over so I can feel better!

lisacb- Congrats on a great "first" beta!!

Tess- Fingers crossed that your numbers look great tomorrow!

Kamaile- Congrats on a great scan! That is so awesome your OB is going to do ultrasounds every week! That will give you so much peace of mind the whole pregnancy!

AFM- Things are moving right along! Had an ultrasound with my RE yesterday and little bean was measuring 8 weeks, 4 days with a heart rate of 175 bpm. I've now been released to my OB and my first appt with him is Tuesday. I am excited!! I definitely have all the pregnancy symptoms in full swing now. Super tired and nausea all day every day. My pregnancy with our DD was not this exhausting but I'm guessing I'm more tired this time because on top of everything I'm working full time and when I'm home I am chasing around an energetic 2 year old little diva! At least I sleep well at night :D

Hi girls Gate Crasher here,

PA was just reading your post and hopefully you have been to a clinic here in Ireland, i am from Ireland and just wanted to let you know that it wouldnt cost much for an u/s at a public hosp here, i paid €100 for one at a private clinic and i think a public is much cheaper, just present yourself to the Early pregnacy clinics at any public hosp and someone should see relatively quickly i know mine in Kilkenny (south east ireland ) is open 24 hrs day. Best of luck xxxx

Hello ladies..just a quick update here as I am so tired. I got back from Ireland yesterday (no I did not go to a clinic in Ireland gi. I was in Limerick and just slept most of the time plus the airport doc charged me 70 euro just for a note to go to a clinic  ). I went to the RE this afternoon. He did a u/s and said that everything looked fine. He could see the heartbeat and said it was strong and normal. I am measuring about 6 1/2 weeks. He said that he did not see any blood in the uterus and that I was released to my OB. SO....I guess that's that. He said I could still fly but that if I started spotting again that I would need to lay down. UM...that's not really possible with my job. An emergency has to be declared during the flight and an ambulance meets the plane. Yeah...I am not going to be the medical drama on every flight so I am taking the next 2 weeks off work. :P
Thank you all for your concern. I love you all and I'm so happy we are here for each other. My first apt with my OB is July 9 but it's just with a nurse to go over history. My first sonogram is scheduled for July 27. UGH more waiting. Kamaile I am super jealous you get scans every week!!!!!!!!
