Katie - Officially today is the last day of his 20 days. He brought it up to his platoon sgt today and he claimed to be really pissed off. Said he was going to go to 1SG and complain that he didn't do anything when he said he was. I don't think this guy will have the balls, but that is my personal opinion. Yes, the Texas heat is a killer and not getting any better. I can't really be outside too long without getting drained. I stay inside mostly, but of course that is no fun. We are trying to plan a camping trip. Just a short one, over a weekend and renting a small camper from the rec center on post. They are nice and cheap there and come with AC, two queen beds, stove, sink, etc. Pretty soon I know I won't be able to do much since I am already less mobile. Nights are worse though. My hips kill me every night and now my pubic bone is aching. I think there is cartlage there that rips? It happened last pg too and eventually I couldn't get out of bed by myself... not looking forward to that again. lol Of course I will take whatever this pg throws at me as long as it means two healthy babies. Glad your deck is finally done. It's great that you have a little acrobat in there. lol Even though she has bad timing, she is making herself well known. You have a very happy healthy baby in your belly! I like Ryan... so will it be Ryan Caitlin or something else? Hope your headaches are going away!

Ronda - So glad to see you here! The bond we all have with each other is special and strong and makes each one of us stronger. When your heart breaks, so do ours. I think about you often and wonder how you are so I am very happy you stopped in to share. Knowing how everyone feels about Helene now, I wish I would have said something so much sooner to spare everyone the daily frustration. Someone like her will never understand the true journey of all of us. I am glad you get the chance to go on vacation. It will be good for you and DH to be together and just focus on each other. This will be a long journey for you, but please know that we are always there for you each step of the way, you are in our thoughts, prayers and hearts. I hope your swelling goes away and you don't have to go through a D&C. Please come back and let us know you are ok?

Claudia - How are you, DH and Flick doing? Did you start the classes yet? Bet you look adorable with that beautiful baby bump and the bathing suit. :)

Angela - When is your next appt? I am almost jealous that you get so many visits to see your little girl! I say almost since I am sure I wouldn't like the travel time and leaving work as often as you have to. However, my business is dead and my OB is only 10 minutes away and the hospital only 30. Going to the dr would give me something to do. lol

Babyluv - I hope DS has forgotten his nightmare about spiderman or superman.

Gi - Hope the ligament pains are treating you better. Seems we just get them more the bigger we get. I look like I am 7-8 months already and today I was walking around trying to pick up and my left side just kept bugging me. I had to have DD follow me and bend over for me. lol It finally went away when I sat down though.

Hazel - Has your belly reached exercise ball status yet? lol I think I am about there myself! I was sitting outside the other night (because during the day here is way too hot) and leaned back. I looked down at my belly and thought, How huge! My neighbor said that when I stand up I don't look quite that big but I think that is because my arse tripled in size and couter acts the belly.

Natasha - How are you doing baby mama? Hope m/s doesn't peek it's head and you can be one of those lucky ones.

AFM - I got my shower invites today. I ended up going on VistaPrint and playing around with making my own. I tried to text, call, etc the person who is throwing me the shower to come look at them, but she never came over. She is my neighbor too! I saved them and held them on the computer for a few days before giving up on her and just ordering them. I just hope I got all the info I was suppose to have. I even had to just come up with a date and time. I have never been to a shower or had one so I had to guess on what to put on the invites. Not sure why she told me she was throwing me a shower and now not talking to me. That's odd isn't it? It's summer time and people keep asking me when my shower is because they need to plan vacations and of course the invites aren't out yet. lol I have a feeling that I am going to be planning my own shower and I have no idea how to throw one. lol Oh well, can't turn back now. :)

Rhonda - It's good to see you on here, though I can only imagine how hard it is. I do know the feeling of being drawn back again and again. After our last failed attempt (which I am NO WAY comparing to being even close to as difficult as losing a child), I left the boards, but would come back every so often to check in on people. Praying for you to heal quickly physically, and as much as one can emotionally.

Steph - Glad the jelly worked! Isn't is SUPER crazy to hear them move??

Katie - I actually LOVE the name Ryan for a girl...I am more into girls having boy names than the other way around. I really like the name Kyle for a girl, but it doesn't go well with our last name. We met a little girl named Ryan last year, and I thought it was really cool.

AFM - DS and I dealt with the nightmare issue ALL DAY yesterday (and DH showed him pics and it wasn't actually any superhero...I think it was something that scared him and that happened to be his name in the dream). He wanted to stay in the other room or on the couch for bed, but I knew he needed to face it, and he did awesome. He said this morning there was nothing scary last night, and that's the last I've heard of it. Whew!

I'm also really excited, yet nervous about tomorrow. I love getting u/s, but I always have a little apprehension of "are they going to find something bad?" I'm sure you all know what I mean. Hopefully they continue to look great and we can find out what we're having! I had a dream the tech wrote it down and it was a boy and girl, so we'll see. I know I will be happy either way. I'm having fun picking out a second girls name just in case (though I will be thrown for a total loop if it's two boys, but that will be fun too).

Good evening Ladies!!

Babyluv-good luck tomorrow and I totally get the aprehension before ultrasounds!! I'm alwasy a nervous reck until I see or hear the baby!!! I'm so glad that your DS got over his nightmare fear!!! Sounds like you dealt with it like a pro!!

Steph-Show us some new baby bump pics!!! It must have been so exciting to hear Ethan and Angelina move around!!! I hope your neighbor gets back to you ASAP so you don't have to stress about your own baby shower!!! What date did you decide on???

Katie-so glad that your deck is finally done! I think my DH is going to attempt to powerwash and stain our deck next week before our big fourth of July party!! I love Ryan for a girl!! What about spelling it Ryann so it's more feminine? Either way-I love it so good choice!!!

Ronda-Hi hon! It's so good to hear from you and you are always on my mind. I hope your swelling goes away and you don't have to deal with a d&c....please keep in touch and know we love you!!

Gi-your post actually made me feel better about not feeling flick so much! I just assumed I would feel him/her once I felt those first flutters. I hope your feeling good!!

AFM...Funny story....last night I was at the gym with my DH and I was stretching after the machines while DH was finishing his bike ride. I looked over and could have sworn I saw my obgyn but wasn't sure since it was out of context and she was wearing her hair in a ponytail and wearing gym clothes!! I was mouthing to my DH is that Dr. Pittman and of course he couldn't tell, so I went up to her and it was!!! Of course being the nervous Nelly that I was about not feeling Flick I asked if I could ask her a DR question even though we were both sweaty at the gym!!! She said of course and reassured me that not feeling flick was totally normal and not to worry!!!!

It's funny that Angela and Steph both have a feeling that Flick is a boy because DH and I are secretely hoping it's a boy but everyone says they have a feeling it's a girl!!! We aren't finding out so we have 5 more months of guessing!!!

Claudia - That's so exciting you are deciding to wait to find out till little Flick is born! I am not so patient. lol I am such a planner and not a big fan of green or yellow. I knew not feeling Flick was ok, I mean, I would hope it is ok since I am a few weeks ahead of you and can't feel Angelina. lol I bet Ethan is always moving because she is kicking him instead of me. :) That must have been a little odd seeing your dr there but good timing none the less so that you could relax. I was just thinking about taking another belly bump pic earlier today so funny you mentioned that. I guess it is about time to, but I want to wait till my ob appt so I can give fundal height with the picture. :D That will be the 2nd July. I picked July 31st for the shower. The girl throwing it wanted it to be after payday which for military is usually the 1st and the 15th. However, if a payday lands on a weekend or holiday we get paid early and in this case, we get paid the Friday right before and some get paid even earlier depending on their bank. Soooo... I should be covered for all those girls who are last minute shoppers. lol I ended up using two registries too, I ended up finding some of the exact same stuff at the other place cheaper! :)

Babyluv - You know I can't type or read your name without wanting to sing the song Baby Love byt the Supremes. lol Anyway... glad that DS is over the nightmare. Hopefully not another one for quite a while. :)

Just because I am proud and think they are so cute... I am going to share my invitations. lol Let me know what you think, be honest! Sorry it is a picture of a picture and crappy at that, but you can get the jist of it. Of course the front is the first one, the colorful side. I was able to add a back for free as long as I didn't use color. :) I was amazed at how simple it was to make and how inexpensive! Not to mention, no filling out invites, so it's nice and neat and none get thrown out for spelling errors. lol

Oh... a little PS... just found out my grandmother spelled her name with two L's so I changed spelling of the middle name from Lily to Lilly.. it isn't an error. lol

Hello ladies!!! I feel like I've been away for months, not weeks! I've read some of the past few pages to get caught up and I think I've just confused myself :?

Stephanie-Very cute invites-love it! I had a debate with my friend about having a shower. I had one with my daughter (now 6 years old) so I didn't think I should have one for these babies. She said it has been so long and now there are two so no one would think twice about it. I told her that she could plan away if she wanted to throw one. We'll see

Claudia-How exciting to start feeling that movement. I have felt light "fluttering" but it definitely comes and goes. You are waiting to find out the gender?-What an awesome surprise for you!

Gi-I have had a ton of ligament stretching pain. Mostly on my left lower side but it does happen all around the bump. I usually feel it when I try to sit up from laying, when I roll over in my sleep, or when I've been on my feet for a while. Not a very great feeling but completely normal.

Katie-I adore the name Ryan. One of the cutest, sweetest girls at our school is named Ryan-I think of her when I hear the name and that is a very good thing!

Karen-So glad the bedrest has helped the cervix issues. I really had no idea that it could reverse and lengthen!

Angela- How are you feeling? So a little girl (possibly?)-amazing! It will be fun to keep checking

Babyluv-Funny you just dealt with nightmares, my DD had one about Rumplstiltskin from the movie Shrek 3. She thought he was going to jump out of her closet like he did in the nightmare. Of course, then we had thunderstorms so she was really freaked out! She slept with me one night and then seemed better (thank goodness-she's a kicker in her sleep).

Natasha-Glad you heard a strong heartbeat. That is always a good feeling!

Hazel-I'm sure I just missed the post...how is your father doing? I still have you in my thoughts and hope it is going well.

AFM-MDA camp last week went very well. My camper was a 15 year old girl with MG. She mostly wanted to sit around and gossip or chase boys so I had a very easy week. She did use a wheelchair when her muscles tired but another counselor pushed her so I wouldn't do it. Everyone was very cautious and wouldn't allow me to do much except eat and relax. I think I gained 7 lbs. at camp! No joke  I meet with the perionatalogist (sp?) tomorrow. I was told to block at least 2 hrs. for the appt. I'm excited to check in on the babies and make sure they are growing just as they should be. I'm not too excited about that much time with a wand pressed on me-I have been so achy and can't hold going to the bathroom for 2 minutes! Let's face it-I sneeze and I have a bathroom emergency (hehe). Gotta love it!

I am thinking of you all and hope you're doing well!! Take care of yourselves

stephanie- yea im starting to get the nauseous feelong which i hate the feeling of. where i feel as i want to throw up but its not coming up yet. yuck. well i hope they start to help you out with your shower. its not that fun when you have to throw your own party, it becomes upsetting. but you'll figure it all out, finding games, decorations, and food. i dont even no when is the time when people have their baby showers? of course once you know the gender. i dont know if people usually have them at a certain in their pregnancy or it may not matter just before the baby is due. those are cute invitations btw.

Arabsrcool wrote:hi girls. Just checking in on all of you. Sounds like everyone is doing well.

I am glad to see that Helene was asked to leave the group. I am so upset about her trying to create her family by a specific gender and going to give the baby away if it was the wrong sex. I am really struggling with my loss and would be so happy to still be pregnant, regardless of the sex. Makes me angry she was allowed to adopt embroyos when there are so many other couples that would love the baby regardless of the sex.

Not sure how much I will post, but I still seem drawn to this site.....but then it upsets me to be here. Damn if I do and damned if I don't. I am so happy that things are going well for all of you, but its hard not to look and see where I would be in my pg, if I was still pregnant. I think its especially hard knowing there will be no more attempts for me and I will never be pregnant again. Hopefully in time I will come to terms with that. I am so grateful to have my girls, and am very lucky to have them....I just so wanted this baby too.

We are going to go to TN in Ocotober, rented the cabin. Thankfully we made the reservation before I got my hospital bill, otherwise I would have said we couldn't afford to go. Just seems wrong to get the big bill and no baby. I look at the cabin we rented everyday, but would still much rather be pg then going on vaca.

Had to start taking water pills, I am so swollen, worried that I will end up having to have a D&C after all. Will follow up with doc again in a few days and hope I am not so puffy anymore. I am assuming its because of the hormone upheaval my body is in.

luv you all

Ronda
Ronda – It is so good to hear from you. It makes me very sad to hear of how you are hurting. I am so very sorry. The pain that you are feeling is extremely hard to deal with some days and other days it’s slightly bearable. But, it does get just a little easier each day.

I agree with you regarding the hospital bill … I couldn’t believe my bill after we lost Ashley! It was crazy!!! I am very happy that you are going on a vacation. Are you going to Gatlinburg?

Hello Ladies – I missed you ladies while I was at my business meeting. It was so very hard to sit there for hours because since I’ve been pregnant, my legs become numb after hours of sitting still and I start to feel a lot of pressure eventually. Oh, I am so happy to be home!!!

I have been reading and trying to catch up w/ everyone and I think everyone is doing well … what a blessing!

AFM – When I logged on, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I am 14 weeks already … not that I am complaining, lol. The beginning of my pregnancy seemed to go so slowly but now it is flying by. I am doing pretty good today, just exhausted and in need of some serious sleep.

HI girlies,

Thanks a mil for reassuring me that these ligament pains are normal havent had that sharp one since but i do get little ones like Sara said all around the bump but i wouldnt describe them as pain and (touch wood) since coming off the crinone progesterone 2 wks ago i dont get cramps in my ovary areas anymore.

Steph your invites are so cute!! I cant imagine how uncomfortable you must be feeling with twins and you still have lot more growth to go!!! I am remembering to move much more slowly and j is great he does most things around the house he even gives out if i empty the dishwasher!!

Katie Ryan is a lovely name and it must be a relief to finally settle on one, you must love the sensation of lying down and feeling all the wriggling i really cant wait for that to happen.

Claud you have relieved me too that your OB said its all normal, how cool she is at the same gym! I also have my money on flick been a boy fair play to you for waiting i just have no patience

babyluv my sis little boy is named kyle, she couldnt decide on names so i told her my fave boy name is Kyle and she asked if she could use it and it really suits him he is gorgous and like a little irish boy with his shock of red hair!

Natasha yuk for morning sickness, i was one of the lucky ones and didnt get an once of it, if it wasnt for all those pregnancy tests i wouldnt have believed i was pregnant!! My bump does look more like a bump now and is more protruding so i can see some of my ribs again, i just love seeing it getting bigger.

Ronda you were due on the same day as me and i have always felt close to you because of that and it still breaks my heart to think of your loss. After my last mc i popped into the May site every now and then even though it was hard to see those tickers and imagine mine been like that but i always felt i had a bond esp. with JG, please know we are always thinking of you and would love to hear how you and your little precious girls are doing. I hope the swelling goes down and you dont need a d&c though i have had 3 of them in the last year and they werent that bad.

Karen how are you and the twins doing??

Hazel you will be hitting the 30 wk mark soon!!!! How amazing is that.

Angela i would say you are glad that meeting is over how uncomfortable! Your ticker is ticking away nicely, its great when you dont log on for a couple of days and then come back and see your ticker.

gi xxx

Hi everyone -

How are all of you doing today? How are the bellies doing? Whew! I am feeling this heat these past few days, enough with the humidity already. I gave up with just half my errands done today because its just too much to run around in this heat. Bet Chris will just love that since that means he'll get stuck going to do them instead  So yesterday i noticed that I was "waddling" while I was really hot & tired! I couldnt believe it, I swore I'd never feel like that I must have looked like a duck or something. It just seems that lately the belly leads the way. Speaking of the belly, this little girl has got to have been going for a record yesterday. She was wiggling, jumping, all day long until I went to bed. I've never felt that much movement in 1 day before! and some of it was really strong too. Chris was trying to feel her moving but darn she is fast! I was joking with Chris last night saying that since we dont know anything about the embryo donor that my RE must have thought it weas funny to give us (kinda on the lazy side) an athletes embryo or something, either that or Ryan is practicing for the kickboxing ring at a really early age - hee heee
Thanks for all the lovely feedback on naming her Ryan, I was a tiny bit concerned with using a "boy" name, but feel so much better about it now. So now Chris is happy because he got his way AND I'm happy because the daily name negotiations were starting to just suck the fun right out of this. Jeez!

Steph - GRRR! Oooh, the Army is seriously irritating me too with all this BS about your poor Andrew's leave. Isnt is wonderful when who's in charge kinds has their head up their arse? Crossed that platoon Sgt gets 1SG squared away right quick. On to happier things - girl, I LOVE your invitations!! You did such a great job on them! I'm hoping that your neighbor will get more on the ball now. And good thinking planning it on payday too! Even if you dont get as many gifts as you need, you will get to know many more women on post and somebody is always buried in baby things that they dont need anymore. Would you believe i've never been to a baby shower in my life? I'll guess that as long as you've got snacks & drinks covered that someone will be happy to "run the show" so that you can sit back and enjoy your party. Its sad to think of what we all spend on some of these baby things that will barely get used. I'm trying so hard to not buy things I like, but to stick to what Ryan will really need & use. Its just harder for me since I'm sort of clueless about babies - ugh. Sorry that you're having hip and pubic bone pain, I know what I've been feeling so I really feel for you with two of them in there using your bladder for a trampoline, right?
BTW - I was super impressed with what you suggested to Babyluv about talking to Spiderman's mom! Wow you are creative, I may have to borrow that one someday. Thought that was worth remembering! - xoxo

Babyluv - Whew! i'm glad that your DS hasnt had any more scary dreams. And me too, I think of the Supremes' song too when I read your name. I get a little funny before u/s also, I think we all do. At least until they start and you get to see all that bouncing around and then you wish it would last forever. I cant wait to hear how it went! Love Kyle or even Kylie for a girl, but finally we are done with the name game - yippee. And there was a few I likes too that just didnt go with our last name - sigh

Claudia - How are you busy girl? How is your cute bump looking these days? We havent figured out which spelling to go with yet. Chris likes Ryan and I like Ryann, ah, will the negotiating ever end? Bless your patience, girl! I was soooo convinced we had a boy that I really think I made the u/s tech uncomfortable by asking if she was sure - twice. hee hee - Do you or your DH have a preference?

Sara - Good to hear from you. Glad your camp was a breeze. Good luck with your perinatologist appt tomorrow. Enjoy seeing the twins and maybe hearing what you;ve got in there?

Angela - I'm glad your back - we missed you too! I do the same thing, sometimes I look at my ticker and think "when did that happen"? Yup, time sure is moving quickly now :D

Gi - How are you my Irish mam to be? wiggling? I was waiting for some wiggling also and instead I've got a gymnast in training! I'll bet little Kayla sneaks up on you soon and starts with the jumping, kicking routines too - hi to your Mam!

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxoxo

Katie - Glad the negotiations are over and you are settled. Still loving the name :D Have fun waddling! LOL!!

Sara - Glad camp went well! So awesome you were able to do it.

Steph - The invites are so cute! My friends and I just settled on Aug 14 for my shower. Another friend is throwing me one at the end of August, so I should be able to hopefully get everything in before any bed rest if I have to go on it.

AFM - TWO GIRLS!!! I really, really thought we were having one of each, but I am so excited. DH said he would be lying if he said he didn't want a boy and girl, but he's definitely happy. They both look great and are 7oz. I go in 1 1/2 weeks for a regular check up with my OB, then again in 4 weeks to the HR doctor. We got a REALLY clear shot that Baby A is a girl, Baby B was a little more difficult, but also looked like a girl, and she's the one we had a clear shot of last time soo... TEAM PINK it is!

So now we need to find a crib that will go with the one we have, and the twins will move into Scarlett's room, and Scarlett will move to the next room with new big girl furniture. The room she's in now is much bigger, so we'll need the space.

Ladies – I forgot to tell you ladies that I have been feeling Gabriella moving around down there lately. I know it seems a little early but I think this is the exact timeframe when I first felt Ashley. It feels like I have butterflies in my uterus. It’s funny because it seems like she really likes to move a lot around bedtime. So I teased my DH and told him that we are going to have a daughter who hates to go to bed at night just I did when I was a kid … lol.

Angela - YAY for feeling your little girl fluttering away! Gabriella is such a pretty name. Yes, you are 14 weeks now... time does fly when you look back at it doesn't it? I was around that far along when I thought the same thing. Now I am thinking... wow, I am over the halfway mark, especially for twins.

Babyluv - Two girls!!! Awesomeness!! And... two showers? Not just double the babies but double the parties! lol I was thinking about bed rest and other possiblilties too when we picked the date for my shower. Though I had to convince her to have it a little earlier then she originally planned. Just a week though. Not a big difference, but I want to enjoy the party as well as hope nothing makes me immobile by then. lol I read that generally the showers should be held earlier for twin mom's anyway. :)

Katie - Oh you poor baby mama! Relax already! lol Let Chris take care of things as you enjoy your little kickboxer. I did finally get to talk to the shower girl today briefly. She took the invitations, but didn't say she liked them or not. I guess she was thinking of something a little different. Either way, those are done and just one less thing for her to worry about. She said she would include me in the details from now on. I keep thinking about the things that I need verses want I want, what needs to come first, what can wait. I am being so darn picky on so many things that it makes it a little harder. lol And I do get kicked in the bladder, also the cervix from time to time. Now that is a weird feeling. I think we are going to have to go back to our old pillow top to help my hips though. The memory foam feels like a rock with this weight all laying on my hips. Oh and thanks for the compliment on the talking to the mom. lol I just know what worked with Alex. :)

Gi - I got what felt like ovary pain last night. That wasn't any fun. Felt like the same pain I would get before a period from the ovulating side that month. Not sure what all that was about but it's gone now. Thankfully! Lots more fun and uncomfortable things to come. Oh the joys of being a mommy! lol

Natasha - Oh no, not the nausea! I had that too, luckily nothing ever came up. I found it easier to get something in my belly when I felt like that. Once I ate I felt a lot better. As far as when to have a shower. Normally I think it's held at the end of the 2nd trimester for singletons, but normally earlier for multiples since they come earlier, as well as possible bed rest or mom just not feeling up to a party due to being so huge. lol I am already looking like I am beginning or in my 3rd trimester. Andrew use to tease me that Ford babies are big, well I think he is right because my belly is pretty huge.

Sara - So good to hear from you. I think it would be good for you to have a shower. It has been a while and with certain recalls out there it is always good to have new things. Also you are having two so you will at the very least need at least one more of a few things, not to mention some boy stuff. I know what you mean about sneezing too!! Not fun at all, but I have learned very quick that when I sneeze or cough I have to cross my legs nice and tight. lol I am glad camp went well and there were people to help you when you needed it. A lot nicer crowd than the facilty it seems.

Thanks everyone on the compliments on the invites. The shower girl didn't say they were good or bad, but she did say I put a lot of info on it. lol She said it saves her from printing out the registry list for everyone. Though that will still be needed for the old foggies (the grandparents). :) I figure everyone else has a computer and knows how to use one other then them. lol I finally met another neighbor, her daughter plays with mine. She is a photographer and well, I already know what she is giving me for my baby shower since she told me. lol A coupon for a free photo shoot after the babies are born. Aparently it will benefit her portfolio too since she never did newborns or newborn twins before so that's good. That will be really fun!

Not much going on... had some weird achy cramps last night on my right side, felt like ovary pain right before a period. It was a bit scarey, but I tried not to freak out and just thought that maybe Ethan was kicking my ovary or something. It's gone now so I am not going to worry about it unless it comes back. Other than that, everything is the same. Hope everyone else is doing great!

Emerald - Congrats on your BFP and WELCOME! Already in the 2nd trimester I see. Sorry to hear you have bleeding though. That is never any fun during pregnancy. I had a subchorionic hemorrhage and it bled for 5 weeks, once it stopped I got diagnosed with a previa so yet another bleeding risk though it hasn't bled thankfully! There are quite a few in here that have bled too so we know how frustrating it can be. At least you have a healthy baby and all is well. So when is your next appt and/or ultrasound? Do you know what your bleeding is from? Plan on knowing the gender or waiting for the big surprise?
