any advice much appreciated.

Post by loopylou57uk »

hello girls, well i start treatment again on 6th july, and this will be the 3rd attempt,1st one chemical pregnancy and started bleeding on night after blood test,2nd one positive but started bleeding 6 days later, now i am not sure whether to just carry on with the next treatment as i have the other two, because i know i can get pregnant but it is just keeping them there, and maybe they will stay there this time!
or whether to try acupuncture(never tried anything like this at all before)so a bit nervous.or also my main dilemma is whether to take aspirin or not as i think that if i dont get as far as i have the other times i will blame the aspirin, but then again it could be beneficial,i have asked my clinic about the aspirin but they said they didnt recommend it,as it was used for people who had ha recurrent miscarraige, but they dont class mine as that.
has anyone been in a similar situation to me with the early pregnancy loss?and did you eventually get a +ive, and if so did you do anything different that time.oh i am such a nuisance and im sorry for rambling on but any help would be really appreciated.
i have still been keeping an eye on all of you and i wish you all the luck in the world with your treatment. :D
thanks girls.love loopy :D

Hi There

I too have had an early miscarriage and a chemical pregnancy in 4 attempts. I was desperate to try anything just to make the next cycle different. Anyway I have been having acupuncture since January and am going to try aspirin next cycle, my hospital says it can't do any harm.

The difficulty with all this business is that our outcomes have been in all liklihood bad luck so we just have to keep trying and keep being positive ( v v v v hard I know).

I wish you all the luck in the world

Hi Loopy

I too have been looking into having acupuncture for the first time. I will be starting my 4th treatment hopefully in June and as you know can get PG but I want to maximise my chances of another success too. I asked my consultant about baby asparin and he wasn't too happy for me to take it. He said nothing was proven and I didn't have recurrent miscarriage either.

It is so hard as to know what to do for the best. I f someone told me to cover myself in camel poo and stand on my head for two weeks, I would do it if it meant getting pregnant.

Whatever you decide to do we will be right behind you wishing you all the luck in the world. Good luck Loopy.

Love Dagny xkx

I've just read this back and it hasn't answered you questions at all, sorry.

I can help!!!
I have been having acupuncture for 12 weeks and it is fabulous , it really has calmed me down and my friend and a few of us on the bord have all got PG following acupuncture, do it will help . Bloody expencive though but well worth it and it doesnt hurt , just make sure you find some one that deals with infertility . Secondly I have the opposite I cant seem to get my embies to start in the womb and have just had tests to look at kromozones in both of us and blood clotting etc etc it cost £575 but it was good to know that my implantation should be ok and that it just wasnt my time the last 3 icsi's anyway if you want to know more let me know

Loopy!!!!!!!!!! So good to read that you're back and raring to go. February and the days of the FCBs seem like a long time ago don't they??

I will be watching and waiting with baited breath. Let us know what you decide about acupuncture. Do you think you've time to get the benefits before July? How many tmts do you think you might squeeze in to be effective?

Thinking of you,
Debra.

Loopy and Deb,
My old FCB's (I am sooo sentimental!!!), how lovely to see your messages!!!
Loopy, am very pleased to hear that you're starting again. My clinic was like yours, they didn't recommend the aspirin, they say that little embryo's are so sensitive and easily damaged, that you should minimise and drug or exposure while they're growing..
The only thing I did differently after my miscarriage was accupuncture and naturopath type stuff. Both were really expensive, but I really had a sense that I had some control here, and let's face it, that doesn't happen real often with IVF!!!
My feeling Loopy, is that it's either going to work, or not work, we could drink all the goop, be stabbed with a zillion needles, cover ourselves in camel poo, whatever, but at the end of the day, it's in the lap of the baby gods...Be kind to yourself, don't torture yourself, IT WILL HAPPEN!!!
Thinkin if you!
