Hi everyone -

Emerald - Oh honey you sure have had a bumpy road so far. I'll keep you in my prayers for a good result on Tue. I can imagine how nerve wracking an amnio must be, but you just stay positive and strong, ok? And you will get 100% gender results from it too, how exciting. I'm in the same boat as far as not having a u/s lately, my last was 4 weeks ago at 18wks and I dont think I'll get another until 28wks - ack! thats 10 wks between! How can that be?

Babyluv - Yippeee for your SCH to be gone! hope that gives you more peace of mind. So you'll have 1 boy vs 3 girls? hee hee no wonder him & DH are discussing strategy! Aw poor little guy , he'll have his hands full playing the big brother for sure. Not to mention you! I feel bad for how little rest you'll get with a 5yo, 2yo, and 2 newborns! oh my!

Gi - How is little Kayla doing? is she kicking up a storm yet?

Natasha - Sorry to hear that m/s has taken over, it does suck but its a sign of a healthy hcg level and pregnancy. Hope it calms down soon!

Steph - You're too funny, if the only thing you've had a meltdown over was the lack of cheese at BK - with twice the amount of hormones in your body - I think you're doing pretty darn good! Aw, Alex must be so excited and proud to soon share her daddy's last name. i'll bet she's been practicing writing it over & over! Well going from a king to a queen size will make the room look bigger too, but the important part is that twin mama gets her rest!
We have a queen and with him being 6'5" and me being 5'10" - it makes for close quarters sometimes, the problem is being that close to a man that snores like a damn chainsaw all night long - argh! Wait, now your Andrew has become the local mr Fix-it guy? If he doesnt mind it, i guess as long as there is a fair exchange of trade it can be a good thing. I remember at Ft Benning there was always guys to ask for help so it was pretty neat how everyone pitched in when needed. I'm with you girl, I love cheese too. The first 8 wks or so its all I was craving, oh and chalupas from taco bell too  - xoxo

Angela- Aw honey I 'm sorry that your HR nurse is causing stress that is so uneeded right now. I swear that some nurses forget how to think and just run on auto pilot - grr! Hope that you get to enjoy all of your weekend and find time to relax. The last thing you need with your heavy schedule is more appts!

Sara - Oh I love the names you've chosen - Jake & Delaney - how sweet. I hear you on the name negotiations - ugh enough of that already!
That was so tragic what happened to your friends. I cannot imagine what that poor couple is going through right now. Its just too much to bear. - xoxo

Claudia - I know that you're super busy, but I missed you! You enjoy every moment of your relax time this weekend. It must be wearing you out to be in the sun each morning. I'm excited to hear how your appts go on wed/thur and to see some pics of the cutest bump ever - hit the couch mama

AFM - I feel pretty good today. I think Ryan wore herself out from the past few days of non stop gymnastics, she's been quiet since yesterday. Poor Chris cant seem to catch her kicking fast enough. It seems like as soon as he puts his hand on my belly that she either kicks elsewhere or just stops - cheeky monkey already I see  And my poor gracie (mastiff puppy) was bitten in the eyelid WTF? the eyelid? by a deer fly (think larger and ALOT more aggressive than a mosquito) so her poor eye is almost swollen shut. and of course she doesnt understand why and keeps pawing at it. So Chris thinks he's funny and has been calling her Rocky - I swear that man is so not funny sometimes

hugs& prayers to us all - xoxo

Hi all. I am happy to see that everyone seems to be doing well lately. That's great news. I've been keeping a low profile. Not much going on. I just rest alot and do quick errands that don't cause any strain. On Thursday I went to my HR OB and Baby A (the girl) is 1lb3oz...and Baby B (mystery) is 1 lb. I was happy to finally hit the poundage mark. Now I have my sights set on hitting week 24 b/c that is typically when viability begins. I definitely feel the babies each day...strong flutters and pokes...and sometimes I can see my belly change shape and even saw a big bump that finally disappeared. Very cool. I can't believe how big my belly is. Can't see my feet anymore without leaning over to look for them. hehehe. The cerclage seems to be doing it's job and holding everything back. Cervix is still around 2cm, thank goodness.

Steph- I had crusty stuff a few times that I wiped off after getting out of the shower, but haven't noticed any leakage yet. It is, indeed, very normal. I've read about it in several places/books. Just another lovely side effect of being preggo!

Emerald- I am sending you good energy for wonderful amnio results. I would be a nervous wreck too. Stay positive and only focus on positive/happy thoughts. We didn't do one b/c we did PGD (genetic testing) on all 22 sets of each embryos chromosomes. So we knew they were chromosomally normal when transferred. If we had not done the PGD I would have had an amnio.

Not much else happening, thank goodness. Just dealing with back aches from my expanding belly and resting alot. Too damn hot to do anything outside and I can't go swimming the OB says due to risk of infection in my hoohoo. So I just relax and do things around the house. Big hug and positive energy to all! xo

Katie - How cute you included Alex's adoption! Poor Gracie with her Rocky eye ball. Then Ryan finally calmed down on beating you up huh? Seems like you have a little Rocky inside of you... or Rockette? lol Andrew got to catch another kick yesterday, I assume it was Angelina's since it was in the middle. So he got to feel both babies kick now. Though yesterday they were both very active for some reason. I could even see my belly jiggle a little where the kicks were, even Andrew caught it so it wasn't just my imagination. Maybe have Chris put both hands on your belly and spread his fingers... it will cover more ground. lol Though I know what you mean about Ryan calming down, Andrew seems to have the same effect with the twins. I hope he is able to keep that priceless talent when they are born. :P Andrew has a huge tool box with everything a mechanic could need and then some. (It is taller than me) So ever since the neighbor has been sharing this, she has been the rest of the neighbor's proxy and asking for stuff. She doesn't come over to talk to me, just ask for tools or tows or other things for other people. It makes me wish I could just have one real friend. The last few days, every day someone is knocking on the door wanting something from Andrew or the big ole tool box. Oh and as far as the "cheese conspiracy" I think that one BK is just cheap. Even the commercials for the buck double have two friggen pieces of cheese damnit. lol It hasn't been the only breakdown I have had being pregnant (remember the leave issue) but it is amazing how something like that got me so upset. I didn't even eat the burgers, I refused and went and got a cheese steak.

Natasha - Rest and relax and hopefully the nausea goes away soon.

Claudia - Yes, we did talk about gifts for everyone and I would love to still do that. After all, every one of you I feel closer to than many friends I have here. However, though some thought it was a good idea, there are people who can't register or not having a shower. So we need to think of a good way to include everyone unless they don't want to participate for privacy reasons since addresses and real names, first and last would be needed. I was thinking we could all do a cash pool, like 10 or 20 bucks from each person to help one person get a more expensive item. So you get another u/s this week!! I can't wait to see how that baby bump is looking and pics of Flick I hope!!

Sara - I am normally not the second hand store type, but I just can't afford to be too picky with twins. Though I still am with many things, like car seats and furniture. Now that we have the one crib, we have to get the matching crib (different finish) and dressers. I am one of those who has to match. lol Even the swings I chose are the same style, just one is pink and one is blue. :) However, when I found the one blue one like new, I was so excited! I didn't think that was going to happen. That was a rare find, I got lucky! I hope you get the same luck... keep looking and I am sure something will pop up. I also found all the clothes I will need for both babies for the first year and a rocker glider with ottoman. :)
As far as the visit to the perinatologist... Hopefully the previa does correct itself. I am hoping for the same thing. The single vessel cord can be scarey but I have the highest hopes for her. I know someone who had both a complete previa and her baby had a single vessel cord, the doctors told her that in her case it was caused by smoking though. However, she was born early but healthy. The mom just didn't take good enough care of herself to take care of the baby inside her better. In your case, being a good mom and all, I am sure she will be perfect, maybe just a little small, but good things come in small packages! :)

Karen - Great to hear from you! I have been thinking about you lately. :) I have been seeing the same thing with my belly too and just like you, my feet have disappeared. lol I have been thinking about taking a picture of the top of my belly to show people what I see when I look down. I am glad that each baby is measuring well and gaining weight! I should find that stuff out when I go to my HR OB on the 6th... can't wait, but of course I have to. lol So you get crusties too. My nips seem to be so sensitive, I might have to start sleeping with a bra on. I can't believe I have leaked already though and still have a ways to go. By the time they are born I will likely be a water fountain... or milk fountain? :| Oh, by the way... love the word hoohoo. lol I was just asked to go to a water park and river tubing with some friends. I didn't feel comfortable doing that, didn't even care to ask the doc. I figure as much crap that is in the river water, I should stay away. Not to mention, even though we will be at a water park, the things people do in the water, the fact that the TX heat sucks balls, and my belly is so heavy I can't stay standing up or walking around for more than 30 minutes without starting to swell and/or hurt. So yeah, that was an easy one to say no to, though it would be fun if I could.

Hey All,

Hope you girls are having a lovely weekend! I am trying to do the same :)

Katie Thanks for keeping me in your prayers! Yeah I am quite nervous about the amnio..but trying to be strong and Positive. Gosh its too difficult to stay calm between appts. I was so worried that I finally bought myself a fetal doppler and m soooo relieved after hearing the HB :)) Yeah if not the u/s, the amnio will definitely tell us - quite excited about that! Must be so much fun feeling the kicks..can't wait for that. Hope ur puppy gets better soon ..aww must be so terrible having pain on the eyelid. My pup's 14 months (Lab) - just adorable.

Claudia hey thanks! Yeah your right stress is just NOT good for our bodies. I am trying hard not to be worried all the time. I am spotting/ bleeding on and off..its gets worse with too much activity so I try to limit that. But I truly believe it was a miracle that after bleeding sooo much for the 1st time my baby was just fine! Yup me tooo!! I check every single time I goto the bathroom:) Will definitely keep u'll posted about the next scan and amnio. Good luck with ur 2nd trimester screening ..wow listening to the HB is exciting every single time :)) Have a great weekend!

Sara Thanks so much. This what I need to hear - its only going to be good news from now on :)) I am so hoping that our previas resolves on their own. That's wonderful your having Twins - girl and a boy congrats!! Did u like the mini-vans ? I am sure all will work out for for the lil girl and its great that the docs will follow u closely. Its sad to hear about your friends baby..words truly cannot describe their feelings. So sorry for them...

Angela Thanks. I am praying too that all this resolves on its own..Sorry to hear about your meltdown. It can get soooo frustrating. Did u finally get ur meds ?? Hope your having a relaxed weekend and I am sure all will be fine with ur job.

Stephanie Thanks soo much. I pray that our previas resolve on their own soon! U bet I do not want to see the sight of blood during pg - its just scary. Nope :( I haven't felt the baby movement yet..just waiting anxiously for that ( or maybe I did but thought it was gas or some pain). But I was sooo worried that I bought a doppler finally..and now that I heard the HB m relieved and that surely put a smile on my face :D Your right gender is another thing to look fwd too :) How are u doing ? Hope ur having a lovely weekend.

Natasha thanks and congrats to u too :) Hope ur m/s dies down soon and good luck for ur u/s on friday!

Gi hey thanks a lot so happy to be here..all u girls are amazing! I guess the worrying will never end until I hold my baby :) Until then I'll try to be strong and Positive. Yeah m soo excited about the next (gender) scan will keep u'll posted on that and the amnio...Hope ur having a lovely weekend!

Babyluv Hi! good to know ur fine now. Mine is from a complete previa :( so hoping with time it will resolve..Congrats on ur Twins - Wow it'll be sooo much fun !! Happy Birthday to Alex :)

Hey girls,

Sara so sorry to hear of your friends little baby how devasting for them its gonna be a long tough road ahead for them and i hope and pray they get thro it together.

Natasha all day morning sickness must be awful, i have to admit i prayed for some but it never came

Emereld you must be relieved to hear your little ones heartbeat on the doppler, i was just to afraid to get one in case i couldnt find it!

Claud thankfully no more pains for me but i am careful when i turn over in bed also my sis got me a pregnancy pillow and i had to start using it a few days ago to support the bump it really does help! Today i had a definate kick from Kayla which really took me by surprise, she must be growing bigger as i have been feeling her the last few days. Betcha you cant wait to see Flick!!!

Steph no leakage from me (yet) think i would find it really weird at first!! J says its something he really doesnt need to know about :D

Karen your babies are getting big!!! Glad to hear your cerclage is holding up.

Claud oh that nurse must have been frustrating!!! Am i assuming correctly that ye are not autmatically entitled to as much time as neccessary for doc appts when pregnant? Here in Ire. as soon as you are pregnant all your doc and hosp appts are fully covered with pay, your employer cannot question your time off or how long, i am off on sick leave till next yr and it cannot affect my job when i return i just assumed every where was the same. How much maternity leave do you get??

Katie poor Gracie she is having a tough time lately, i gave my sis back her pup today and now my poor westie is throwing one big strop he has been sulking all day and seems depressed his little girlfriend is gone i told him she will be coming back soon on her holidays

AFM as i mentioned to Claud i felt a def. kick today which was cool also last night when i was eating a chinese i felt her roll over it was really amazing and has helped ease my mind ....a little.... scan is on 6th july hmmm maybe then i will believe i am pregnant!!!!!

I was just thinking about all of the gender predictions wayyyy back ago according to the Chinese calendar and Lou also had another article refarding frozen embryos vs fresg embryos and now that most of the board knows the gender I wonder how accurate the guesses were!

I know Lou put together a list awhile back but I'm too lazy to search!

Claudia - mine said girl, but since it was twins I didn't really play...although I AM having two girls, so the 50/50 guess on the chart was right for me! My BFF swore we were going to have girls because DH has 3 sisters and no brothers (so he and Alex can bond over that as well). She somehow feels like the more of one gender a man has in his family, the more likely HE is to have that gender himself. I don't believe that (especially since we did ICSI so a lab tech was picking out the sperm anyway), but she happened to be right.

DH - 38

Claudia - Funny you mention the chart Lou had. I remember it was a girl for my retrieval date but boy for my transfer day so I simply said... maybe a boy and a girl and that is what she put down. Then of course we find out that is exactly what we are having. lol

Babyluv - I remember according to Lou's chart that if I only went by retrieval day only (which I should have) I would be having two girls, then with the statistics she gave us on ICSI, it said I should be having girls as well. Low and behold, a boy made it in the bunch! lol You mention the prediction from your BFF is interesting too because that is what Andrew was going by. There are all boys in his family with the exception of his one sister, he has like 8 brothers I think? If you ask his mom though, his dad was way more wondering than that and claims he has 23 brothers and sisters out there. Personally, I think she is full of chit! lol

Gi - Yay for kicks! Glad your little girl is making her presence known. I am having pregnancy brain and can't remember the name you chose for her. I am pretty sure you told us... right? lol

Emerald - I am well, thanks for asking. :) Don't worry about not feeling movement yet, you are still early. I was surprised to feel mine as early as I did, but I hear a lot that with twins you can feel it sooner. I just got myself a doppler too. I am surprised I didn't spring for one sooner. lol I am always so worried spite trying to stay positive. Now that I have it and can here both moving and both heartbeats I am even more relaxed. My little girl is on my left and I have hardly felt her so the doppler is great reasurance. Just the past couple days (literally a couple) she has finally gotten more active. Now both are kicking and prodding more often and enough to feel from the outside. I hope you don't worry too much about the amnio. I hear that there might be some cramping, but they let you rest for a while after. I have heard of false positives with that before as well so hopefully all is well, and we will continue to believe in that. :) Mine came back inconclusive since it can't be determined for twin pregnancies. The DS came back as good as it could be though. :) Hope you had a great weekend.

Katie - Hope you are enjoying your Sunday! You better be taking it easy baby mama!! How is little Ryan treating you today? Hope Gracie's eye is feeling better.

Hello Ladies – I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent most of my weekend trying to catch up on the sleep I missed over the last week. I saw that Claudia was asking about the Chinese Gender prediction that Lou posted earlier and I searched through all of the post and here you go!

**By the way, mine said a girl and that is what they think I am having!

Chinese Birth Chart results (so far)
Lou -- G
Hope --G (nuts how accurate it was for her family!!!)
Positive -- B
Steph -- G/B
Karen -- G/G
Gi -- B
Katie -- B
Claudia -- G

Ronda - G

gi- thats great news. whoo woo your feeling kicks. i laughed your 20 weeks your pregnant lol. i wish i could trade the m/s egh i hate the yucky feeling. it seems when my stomach is getting empty i feel worse and i hate it. but like all the ladies have been telling me its a good sign.

AFM- im just waiting for friday. i noticed last night that these progesterone shots are making me irritated and are itching. which cant be a good thing. its just weird because i've been on these for months since march and it never itched now out if nowhere im reacting to it. hmm.. im just going to keep an close eye in it becuz the injection site once swelled up. i really dont want any problems. my RE said last week that he'll take me off them around 10 weeks so i have another week or two probably. im going thru it like crazy too it'll be a relief to get off it btw it isnt cheap so that'll be good to get off it soon.

Have a great week mommies!!

Hi everyone -

I hope you all had a good weekend. It is just way too hot here 92 and so humid that the air feels swampy - ugh. I have an OB appt this afternoon so I hope I get an answer to why I've had a headache for the past 4-5 days. I even wake up with it and I hardly ever got them before I was pg -so we'll see what the doc has to say. Gracie's eye is back to normal so she's back to being herself (crazy dog) I'll post when i get back from the OB later this afternoon. - xoxo

Karen - I'm glad to hear that you're feeling ok. Whee the babies are over a pound already! I wish I got info like that, all I get is "everything is fine"
I know it cant be easy to be on limited activity, but just hang in there honey.

Steph - Aw I hate to feel like people are taking advantage of your Andrew and the giant tool chest. It must be hard to live on post when you're a normal woman and not a gossipy busybody type. I never did live on post but heard all sorts of complaints about it. How cool is it that you can now see your belly moving with the little boxing twins in there? I cant wait to be able to see mine move too.

Emerald - Wishing you luck today at your amnio - cant wait to hear if boy or girl! rest up after and let us know how it went.

Gi - yippeee for Kayla's first kicks - better get ready for lots more! hee heee I guess she likes Chinese food? Aw sorry your Westie is missing his little girlfriend - xoxo

Claudia - Me too, according to those gender tests, both said boy for me and its a girl - it seemed like they were more accurate on all of our twin mamas though - ah, it was fun anyway.

Natasha - ugh - I remember the PIO shots all too well. I was on them until 13 wks! OMG were my hips sore by then! Just get through that part and then you can forget all about it - anything for a hwealthy baby, right?

Angela - Thanks for finding that post. How are you feeling mama? Did you relax this weekend I hope?

Hi Everyone!

I'm sorry I do not have time for personals today, but I just wanted to keep you all up to date.....

THE TRIPLETS ARE HERE!!!!!!

I gave birth last Monday June 21st. It was a shock at how quickly it happened. I went in for a dr appointment and was sent to the hospital for monitoring and they were here by that night. They are all doing amazingly well. They were born at 33 weeks 6 days. None needed oxygen, they are all off feeding tubes, iv's and are in open air cribs. They thought it would take 3 to 6 weeks for them to come home but they are doing so well, 2 may be home by the end of this week with the 3rd following in a few days!!

So they are:

Aidan James 4lbs 8 oz
Matthew Christian 4lbs 2oz
Kaitlyn Ann 4lbs 15oz

I hope you are all doing well. I will try to make time for personals soon- before the babies come home :D :D :D :D :D :D

Nanine - OH MY GOODNESS!!! CONGRATS!!! I have been thinking about you this week and praying all was well. One day shy of 34 weeks is SOOO wonderful for trips, and they are all over 4 pounds! Absolutely amazing! What an awesome, awesome job you did gestating. My friend had hers at 33 1/2 weeks, and they are all healthy little 3 year olds now. They were all smaller thank yours I am pretty sure (at least one was in the 3 pound range).

Congrats again and I love the names. Four kids under the age of two...you'll make my four kids 5 and under look like a breeze! You will do awesome, and your DD will be such a big help in the upcoming months.
