Beta numbers OK?

Post by Waitngforsolong »

Hy ladies! I just found this board and so glad I did. We have been TTC for 3 years. I am 35 DH is 41. I have PCO he is fine.
I did a 3dt on June 11. MY beta on June 23 was 242, on June 25 it only rose to 367. We had just about gave up hope but then my number today was 851. Is this still good? Even though we didn't double at first. This is such a stressful process! I go for an u/s on July 12. I guess it's a good sign that he doesn't want to do more HCG...still scary though!

They like to see about a 60% rise in 48 hours or doubling every 48- 72 hours. Mine didn't double either in 48 hours, they went up by about 60% but then picked up later. I'm now 10 weeks pregnant! Your numbers seem ok to me, the ultrasound will be helpful to document an intrauterine pregnancy. Best of luck to you!!

Is a great site! Try it out... sounds like things are on the rise for you... maybe baby was just a slow starter or the lab got the number wrong. It happens.   Congrats!

Waitingforsolong - I agree with the other ladies. Sometimes your beta might get a slow start and then start to double in 48 to 72 hours. Mine did the same thing, as a matter of fact, my second beta only increased by 50% but as you can see by my ticker, she is doing well! Good luck to you!

I think the numbers are still ok. Its not that doubling they like to see, but its still going up ... I think another few betas will tell you! Good luck! I agree with the PP about betabase...is a great resource!
