I reckon that it is way to early for it to show on a HPT right now so please don't fret. A friend of mine tested on day 2, 4, 6, 8 etc after ET (she is completely mad by the way ) and it always came up negative. By the time the actual test date came she was convinced it was game over but, she is now 3 weeks off having TWINS!! So don't read too much into your negative result just yet, OK?

The urine PG tests only have any real accuracy at LEAST 14 days after et - and even then they arent 100%.
Now, having said all of this - I have done exactly the same -and I know hoe grim it is. But REALLY forget this one.
If it makes you feel any better - I tested on day 13 after et (a day after getting a +ve blood pregnancy test) and it still came up negative.
You havent got long to go. Hang on in there babe!
Traci - how you doing - you sound very chilled -which is fantastic. YOu are a bit of superstar arent you. and New house - HOW EXCITING! We are doing up an old place (will take FOREVER)- but its been so exciting and such a good distraction. Its nice to be able to think about something in your future that you can actually control isnt it
Anyway - off to gym - dont feel like it -but have done NOTHING for weeks and the stomach is beginning to roll over the top of the jeans. Nice!! Might try and swim - for the first time since I was about 6. Do they have rubber rings in grown up pools?!
Thanks everyone for the reassurance. And, Dagny, thanks for that very postive story. I mean I knew it was too early but this whole thing just makes one lose any sense of reason sometimes. I feel like such a fraud telling everyone else not to test early and how -tive HPT's don't matter so early on and here I am testing earlier than everyone else! DH was not happy about it at all...especially when I told him it was -tive. I had to go through explaining that the -tive didn't really count and it could still be +tive at a later point which, of course, led to the question; "Well, why did you take the test now then if you knew it would be -tive?" At that point, I realized that it would be impossible to explain this madness to a man in such a way that he'd understand. As it is, he can't understand why I'm so focused on the issue. He said he hasn't even been thinking about it and he doesn't see why I'm so worried. I'm thinking life must be at least half as stressful for men as it is for women.

You are too funny! I admire you for even trying to swim if you are as bad a swimmer as I am...and it sounds like you are! I think I'm going to start doing very light exercise tomorrow because I really can't take it anymore. I've read like 5 books and feel like I'm at my wits end as far as taking it easy. I'm normally one of those people who rarely sits still.
Anyway, DH and I are going to go shopping so that should keep my mind of things for a few hours (no, I won't buy any more HPT's!)
ps- didnt swim, my DH banned me from wearing my only swimming costume as I have had it for 10 years and my tits basically fall out the side. NOT a good look!

To answer you quesion, I cant speak for Gem, but, firstly I totally cant believe that I am pregnant and keep having to do tests to proove it to myself! Dont really feel any different (which worries me a bit). Not really tired or sick. Boobs a bit bigger but no really sore or anything
Secondly, although I'm SO happy (dont get me wrong, I've been praying for this for years) I am RIDICULOUSLY paranoid about something going wrong. I mean at 4 weeks and a bit most people wouldnt even know they were pregnant and the statistics are just so scarey about people having early miscarriages.
ANyway....am having blood done on Wednesday to check HCG levels have risen so just praying that will be okay. Its really just one step at a time.
Not generally a neurotic person but this business has totally turned me into one!!

Traci - One week into your 2WW already - I cant believe it. How are you feeling? I think keeping busy with the house is ideal. My fingers are crossed for you.

Well I am nearly there. My donor took an extra couple of days to get to EC but that will now be on Wednesday so my ET will be Friday. I have no idea how many follies she has so I am really worried but only 2 more days to wait until I know more. I'll soon be joining the rest of you on the 2WW.
Cant believe I am half way through the 2ww I think I may test on sunday as this will be 17 days post EC , I need to know as I am going to a Champagne dinner on sunday and would really like to drink as much champagne that is poured if it is a negative OR celebrate with a diet coke if it is a BFP+++++++

well I did blood test 14 days post ec and they can tell then. Urine test came up with nothing until 16 days post - 17 days should be okay shouldnt it? What did your clinic say?? How many does post et would that be??
