Hi all Im Tasiri from "Downunder" !
Im new to the forum but not so new to IVF-ICSI...
I started injections for my 5th (ICSI) and final "stim" cycle last night so alot riding on this one

Tasiri: When are you going for your Retrieval? I'm going tomorrow morning. I hate waiting til 10:30 by then I will be past hungry & more anxious. I always like going very early in the morning. Are you nervous,excited?
I'm always nervous to be put under. I understand it's for a short time but it makes me anxious. I can't wait until tomorrow is done with & I'll know how many eggs & embryos. Good Luck to you!!!

Its only early days of injections for me @ the moment my retrieval looks like being July 13th
Im not usually nervous about being put under but I am a little this time as Ive had the flu so hope I can breathe !!

Hello, I just found this site. I had my 1st IVF about 10 days ago. My husband and I are waiting for the results. I am 40 with no children...my husband is much older than me and has grown children. We are using donor sperm...and they transferred 3 eggs (day 3), and froze one. Because I am older, I am "fishing" for hope here...

Hi Sunshine & welcome. I'm new to IVF this is my 1st try. I had my ET yesterday. I had 4 embryos, 3 of good quality & 1 not so good. The dr suggested we put all 4 in due to the fact of my age (39) & my FSH is too high (14). So we transferred all 4 being none would survive the freeze. I'm excited & nervous. I have no children either. I have to be positve & calm which is very hard for me at times. I had 3 IUI's before taking this step. I wish you all the best. When is your pregnancy test?

Nice to cyber meet you Sunshine good luck with things I hope it all goes well.
Im 40yr too so I hope we both get sucessful outcomes this cycle

Gosh Im so envious you girls OS have the option of having four embryos put back WOW your so lucky as in Australia they only permit 2 embryos to be put back !!
I fight tooth and nail just to get two put back because of my age and having lost a baby ..your super lucky !
Well I have my first scan and bloods tomorrow to see when I will go to "egg op" so fingers crossed my bodies doing what it should Im injecting two lots of drugs so hope they are working a treat.

Tasiri: Good luck I hope the meds are working as they should & the retrieval is soon!! I was surprised they put in all 4 but they had no choice to hold any back because it wouldn't survive the freeze. According to my nurse she stated the embryos are of fair quality. I hope at least one take!!! I hope all goes well with you!!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for responding. My blood test for pregnancy will be on Monday -- my doctor said that the medications post ivf can make me "feel" pregnant, but I am feeling discouraged because I don't "feel" anything at all. (when I got pregnant and miscarried through iui, I "knew" I was pregnant very, very early.) So I am trying hard not to forecast... and praying that one of the three embryos will "take" hold.

My mood was pretty good--up until yesterday. I can't seem to focus on anything else right now.

It's nice to know that there are others out there experiencing the same thing.

I had my scan and bloods today and was informed I go to egg retrieval Monday early so hoping its a good result.

Hi Tas, good luck with your egg retrieval on Monday... Monday's the date of my blood test. They wanted to do it on Sunday, but we both have to work.

Hi all,
Tasiri - Im in Australia too and for over 40s our clinic will put 3 embryos back. They tell us it would be illegal to put back 4. I think if younger they cannot do more than 2 and 3 is allowed if they have medical reasons (i.e. age decreasing chances). Good luck with EPU. Perhaps you can chat to your clinic about 3 for transfer. It all depends on the numbers and finance you have anyway. We have had our last try twice already and are scraping money together for our 3rd and final last try.

S&S - I didnt feel pregnant at all for my IVF pregnancy with DD, no symptoms until belly grew and there was kicking. I had a previous pregnancy in which I did feel pregnant almost from day 1. There were all the classic symptoms and that one was not IVF so no drugs. I think every pregnancy is very different do not worry unnecessarily. There is still very much hope.

Wow Cillie,thats unheard down here in the south easterly states of Australia to have 3 embryos put back especially if older,your a lucky girl in QLD I should move up your way !
Being 40 and doing my final cycle Id love a trio of embryo's for my final fling
I live in Victoria but Tasmania is my home but more options in Melbourne for IVF and other things.
I know how you mean about scraping together the funds..I totally get that
Sunshine when I was pregnant it felt like I had a little bit of a stomach upset and some other "digestive" type symptoms but not much esle really.

Hi -- We got our initial bloodwork back and it's good news...BFP! We had the blood work a day later than normal but the beta is 586 and I am a little freaked out-- They want to do another test on Thursday to make sure it is rising...
I don't really understand these numbers, but it seems high...
We are celebrating but cautiously-- I lost my first at 11 weeks...

Thinking of all of you and praying for your happiness and joy.
