Jamila,

We are at the very beginning of the process. Dh has an appointment w/ fertility urologist to discuss sperm aspiration on 7/21. We haven't had an appointment w/ the clinic where we'll do IVF as of yet. We were waiting until after his appointment on 7/21 to make the next appointment. Not sure if that's the best way to do it or not but it's what we're doing. :-)

nbfun the ivf process involve lots of waiting so be prepare to be patient which I know is not easy, but please have hope don't be discourage. You will have to surpass many obstacles, you need each other on this road because the infertility road is vicious it's capable of destroying the most solid foundation, as a couple you need to be there for each other.I know all the women in site are really strong, I wish you all the best, and keep me updated.

Thank for your support i really appreciate it.

Thank you for your words of wisdom. Part of me can't wait to get everything moving along and the other part of me is scared to have hope. A crazy mixed bag of emotions I am. LOL We have been TTC for the past 7 years and I had really lost hope until dh said we could give IVF a try. I never dreamed he would be willing to do that.

Again, thanks for your input.

I am glad that your husband made the decision to try IVF, I know the wait is the most difficult thing to endure in this process, but at least now you have a starting date. This October it will be 5 years since I have been married and i lost total of 4 pregnancies, I just turned 25 and my hubby is 27, it has been a long road for us, It has been some moment when i lost all hope, but every cycle I get this mix emotions, excited and scared at the same time. It's normal for you to be scare because we do not know what the outcome will be, again we have to wait there is not garantee, but please have hope that's all we can do. The infertility way is dark but somewhere out there, the rains will cease and the sun will break trough, someday all this will be behind us. God will never leave us nor forsake us. I wish you good luck and you have all my support and prayer.

Jamila20,
I will be doing my 2nd round of IVF around the same time as you. Retrieval will be around the 18th and transfer b/w 21st and 23rd depending on the timing of everything. Unfortunately, we had no viable emybros to freeze after last cycle. Just started meds again on the 7th taking Follistim, Menopur, and Ganirelix. Best of luck to you.

Hi! I'm also on my Follistim, Menopur & Granilex mix now. I'm hoping for a ER early next week (July 18-19-20ish). So far, no dominant follicle, just some small ones, but I go again tomorrow morning (and they doubled my Menopur dosage).

How is everyone feeling? I'm starting to be really sore on my belly from all the injections. Last time I did only Follisitm and Granelix, adding a 3rd injection site everyday is starting to really bruise me up! My DH calls me his "little pincushion". (amazingly, I was always afraid of needles and now I self inject!)

leoria11- I have a little bruising as well, which I did not encounter during my last cycle. Just had blood work and ultrasound today... 14 follicles and estrogen is 488. Doc is reducing my dosage of Menopur from 150 to 75 in PM so my estrogen level does not rise too quickly. Have to go back again tomorrow for more blood work and ultrasound. Taking 150 Folistim in AM and 75 in PM. Good luck to you!

I went for monitoring too this morning. They don't tell me my estrogen level unless I ask - and they only measure the lead follicle (currently around 10) and the lining.
I got a call to continue my 100 Follistim, 1 Ganirelix and 2 of the powder vials of Menopur (not sure how much those are). I go back on Thursday.

I hate this part (actually - I hate this whole thing....)

Had blood work and ultrasound again today. Estrogen is 711, lining is good, 7 follicles at 11 and 1 at 13. Starting ganirelix tomorrow. Possible trigger on Friday or Saturday. How is everyone else doing?

I am going tommorow for my egg retrieval hopefully I will get lots of eggs, keeping my fingers cross with lots of prayers, thank for all your support.

Loerira Sorry about the bruises, I got lots of bruises from my last 2 last cycles from the progestrones, thankfully not from the stimulation meds, but I usually put ice before I do the shot.

Summit that is wonderfull for your follies they are growing, good luck.
