Chili- Wondering how you're feeling today and if you've gotten any news? I am sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Can't wait to hear your update.

Franny- YAY! I'm so happy for you! Maybe there's more than 4 in there!

Ann- I know that you must be going out of your mind with anticipation. The 2ww is so hard. I know that nothing we can say will ease your anxiety, but try to keep busy. We are all praying that you get positive results.

Tammy- You can talk about Zach anytime! He is your little miracle and I love to hear about him. It makes me believe that all of this is worth it. Oh...and about the lupron flare protocol. It seems like I did it the 2nd time around. I started off with follistim and repronex and then I added lupron a day or two later. Is that how it works? Or do you start the lupron first? I was reading the details of it online and thought that lupron was first and then the other meds are added.

Teresa- How are you doing?

Amanda- Have you ever had a cancelled cycle? Or is this your first? My RE always seems to cancel my cycle if by day 8 or 9 there's only one or two. Now that I hear of you and Franny cycling longer, it make me wonder if I should to? I don't know. Anyway....good luck! I'm sure that your follies are maturing nicely! Grow follies grow!

Lou- I've heard of getting meds from Europe. Have you done it before? What website did you use? I was thinking of doing it myself next time around.

AFM- I have a question for all of you girls. Do you exercise or workout at all during your 2ww? I am struggling with wanting to work out. I have been walking alot with my doggy. Today I did a few squats with a 5 lb weight. My acupuncturist has told me that I am too skinny and to gain weight....ugh. I am normally about 114. I have no idea how much I weigh now. I know that my clothes are tighter. Probably about 118 or 119. Since I did my IVF cycle in May I have cellulite I've never had before. It's so frustrating. I want to get rid of it. I am wondering if the IVF meds make it worse? I didn't work out for about 2 months during my IVF cycle. I struggle with trying to gain weight, be healthy and workout. Problem is....if I eat healthy...I don't gain any weight. If I workout...I don't really gain alot either. Help! My acupuncturist said to eat dessert and junk food. Which I am sure contributes to the cellulite. I don't mind being bigger....just to get rid of the cottage cheese I'm packing around...yuck! Okay....enough of my selfish rant for one day. Just wondering if anyone else can relate?

I hope that you lovely ladies are having a fabulous day! :D

Karin...I think, if I remember right that I will start the lupron on the 23rd (after my baseline/bloodwork) and then follistim on the 24th. Havent really gotten a calender or anything, but she told me over the phone what she "thinks" will happen. I dont exercise or do much of anything in the 2ww. Most docs recommend 3 days of bedrest after ET...so at my age...gonna take it even easier still. Most women also gain during IVF...I sure did. But, I'll worry about it after the baby comes ...cause breastfeeding will make me drop off the weight again anyways. lol

Karin- I'm doing pretty good. I finally got my calendar in the mail although I'm still a long ways off before I start anything. I'm scheduled to start Lupron on 8/17 and my stims on 8/28 with my ER being sometime in the week of 9/6 and will be doing a 3dt again.

I had my first acupuncture apt last Friday and that was very nice. He recommended that I do a set of needles to help with some of the symptoms that the Metformin were causing and then to take those out and do the ones for my infertility issues. I go back to see him on Friday again this week. He also recommended doing an infrared heat lamp during sessions to bring more blood flow to my uterus and doing a Moax stick at home the week of my ER. Have you or anyone else heard of a Moax stick? I guess it does the samething as the infrared lamp does but its like a giant incense stick? :?

As for your question about exercising during the 2ww my RE suggested that I dont do any "core" exercises or strenuous workouts until after I was transfered to my regular Ob/Gyn. He said then I can ask him and let the OB decide what was best for me and the baby. Have you asked your acupuncture guy if whey protein shakes would help you put on weight without adding cellulite?

karin- 114 lbs? i'm jealous! i'm 5'1" & weigh 135 lbs...egh! my problem area is my belly. i do zumba & walk, but have been thinking of trying a belly0dancing class. i know that would be perfect for my problem are. when i start stims, i just walk. i pretty much listen to my body & know whether i'm walking too much & need to take a break that day or if it's ok. i know as i get closer to triggering, i feel more bloated & a lot of pressure around my ovaries, so i really take it easy then. i read that ivf meds don't directly make you gain weight; it's the fact that women usually take it easy around stimming & are less physically active. don't know how much i believe that, lol! what you need to do is definitely NOT eat dessert & junk food, like your acupuncturist said, b/c, like you said, that is what's adding the cellulite & the flab. plus, even if a person is skinny, they may still be a heart attack waiting to happen (sorry, not trying to scare you). there are so many thin people, but their arteries are clogged & they may be unhealthy. yet there are plenty of "bigger" people who may actually be healthy. more protein & healthy carbs are helpful.
thanks so much for your compliment on my picture :) i love the fact that you had such a great day today!

kim- hey! how are you? crash our thread anytime! thanks for stopping by...it was good to "see" you

lou- yay for baby-in-a-box on its way! ribfest sounds yummy...i love bbq! sounds like you had a really nice day! i know what you mean about counting down the weeks. if i hadn't m/c'd in septemer, i would've had a newborn in my arms right now. don't worry, you'll be a mama soon & a damn good one!

katie- awe, thanks! :D how are you feeling mama?

Very busy in here. I'll catch up more tomorrow when I am less out of it.

ER went well. I remember the CRNA telling me she was giving my something just before the RE started and next thing I know I was being wheeled to recovery. Got home late this morning and slept on the couch the whole day. Just had a bit of dinner. Taking meds and going to bed.

20 eggs. They will call tomorrow to let me know how many survived ICSI and are fertilized. They will decide Thursday if ET is Friday or Sunday.
