I started bleeding some this am. I'm going to the RE for US tomorrow. Hoping everything is okay.

I know I responded on your xpost but how are you doing now? Did the bleeding stop? Can't wait to hear about your wonderful ultrasound soon!!

Dandme - No more bleeding. Went to the RE after several attempts to US, finally saw HB, YEAH !!!! They weren't to concerned about the bleeding which I haven't had all day. So, I'm pretty happy now.

A heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!! Tough to not be scared - but you're on your way now!!

My ultrasound isn't until July 23!! at a little over 7 weeks.

Hi everyone, congratulations on your BFPs. I never thought the day would come that I too could say that after my last FET (#4) I got the positive Beta reading. I cried and I laughed and I couldn't believe my luck. I have been reading along with all your forums and have really appreciated the information, support and advice that I was inadvertantly given by you all. My Beta reading was 252 14days post transfer. I was told that is ok. I never even knew what a Beta reading was when I was reading everyone elses posts. I go back again on Monday (7 days after first reading). I am confident all will be ok. I cant bare to think of the alternative!!

Anyway, congrats to all again and I look forward to becoming fat mummies-to-be with you all.

Katels80- Welcome !!!!! When is your Due date ? I can't wait till all our tummies are getting bigger. My tummy has started a little already. I do have a DD, so my muscles have been gone a long time Apparently my uterus is high already even though it shouldn't be, cause of my C-section. So, the baby is a little below my naval already.

Dandme - Thanks, I am getting a little excited now. Let the shopping begin I told DH we are finding out this time, and I'm goin shopping. We really can't afford it since I stopped working nearly 2 years ago. Plus, when I had my DD I had a big baby shower and got tons of baby stuff. Plus, I worked after my DD was born and spent some $$$$, so I packed everything away. We have every baby toy in the world. Our nursery is still set up always hoping to fill it up with a little one again. I actually have girl/boy clothes cause my family has given me lots of hand me downs. So, I don't technically really don't need anything, but shopping for baby stuff is soooo much fun

Welcome Kate - I can't imagine how happy you are. Welcome to the march miracles!

So when are you actualy due? When will you get your ultrasound...? 14days past transfer, what day transfer did you have, 3 or 5? I think that's about where I was (would be 19dpo on a five day transfer). Your beta looks great - FET's are always a little lower.

Jenice; No baby stuff here - I have two boys who are 20 and 22 and I don't have much of thier stuff left except for a few blankets, stuffies and books. Long, long time ago!! We'll be starting from scratch - but I'm not one to buy new or tons for newborns! I don't think badly of those who do, I just know they only need to really be clean and warm and loved for quite some time and I like spending the money on good funiture and photographs - stuff that lasts! We don't even plan on getting a lot of toys, rather let the kids use their imagination (yeah I'm old fashioned!!!) and use the money to take the little one on world travel. I'm sure we'll get a few cool things - I plan on making all the blankets and curtains for the nursery - keep me busy through the winter months!!

I don't know too much about due dates etc because I have just had the blood test and then a phonecall to say I was pregnant. I havent had a chance to talk to my RE (is RE the doctor that does the transfer? - I am still getting used to the abbreviations). My mum used a calculator and worked out I should be due on the 22nd March. I have another appointment this Monday to test again and speak to RE so I will ask all the questions then. My scan is then 2 weeks after that which would be the 2nd August. What is normal? I would be 7 weeks by then.

Dandme - I dont know what transfer I had - I feel a little uneducated about all that. Can you explain what you mean and I might be able to work it out. They must use a different language at my clinic.

I have so many questions and so much to learn. I just cant wait for every little bit of this adventure - including the morning sickness.

Hmmmm okay... yes.. the RE is your reproductive endocrinologist - the doctor who specilizes in ART, artificial reproductive techniques. The method your mom used may be right for your due date, but most likely it's a little off since your last period has nothing to do with it, if that's what she was using as a marker.

You'll need to know if your embryos were three days old, or five days old. I am really surprised that your clinic transferred five embies back into you - it's actually against the law here in canada to transfer more than one or two in anyone your age! Where are you from?

You can certainly call your clinic and ask them these questions and your due date.

Here's some help with some of the lingo... dpt means days past transfer. so if you see this: 5dp3dt it means, I am five days past a three day old embryo transfer (meaning the embies have grown for three days before transfer). So if you WERE 5dp3dt, you can assume that you are 8dpo - meaning 8 days past ovulation (when the eggs were fertilized). You can check out www.betabase.info and www.babymed.com for some great reading - as well as this website. Major congrats again! Oh, and you can use the internet to calculate your IVF due date if you type that into google.

They dont tend to make a big deal of that here. I go to a clinic in Brisbane, Australia. They are fairly casual about the whole process.

I didnt have 5 embryos put back. It is illegal to do that here too. We ended up with 5 successful embryos after our fresh cycle which we have been putting back 1 by 1 (except one attempt at 2). This one was out last!!

I have used a calculator for FET as you suggested and it says my due date is the 18th March 2011. Seems like such a long time away but I guess it will go quickly.

When is your due date? Have you had any symptoms yet? Scans?

Hi all--- Jumping in here...I don't exactly know yet when I am due, first ultrasound is on July 26. Trying to celebrate, but nervous about M/C. Whenever my mind goes there, I think this mantra to myself, "All babies will be born healthy"
Can't think about baby names yet, but I am looking forward to when I can!
I've been having insomnia-- Any suggestions out there? I try to sleep as much as I can, but every time I get up to pee, I have trouble falling asleep again. Which isn't a problem if I can sleep the next day-- but I have to work too!

Still I am *mucho happy* and excited and wondering about the betas...everyone says mine are high. Wondering what that means--

Congratulations Sunshine and Stars!! I dont really know what betas are either except that it is a test of the level of hcg in your system which is the pregnancy hormone. It is supposed to double every 2 days for 5-6 weeks and then every 3-4 days until week 10 or so. Yours do look high which is good I think but I dont really know whether it is bad to have a lower beta if it is still in the normal range??

I can totally sympathise with you about the insomnia. I just cant seem to get a restful sleep. Just lots of broken sleep periods. I am just trying to go to bed early so that when i add up all the little bits of sleep i do get it might equal a decent amount. Let me know if you find something that works.

I also been having some trouble falling back to sleep after my am pee. I think it is just a way to get us ready for our future of really no sleeping, when our babies arrive I know with my DD every 1 1/2 to 2 hours she woke up to be fed. Sleep deprivation brought to a whole new level, but totally worth it. Plus, it only lasts like that till around 6 weeks, then they might sleep a whole 5 hours straight, YEAH !!!!! I always thought that was the hardest part and it just got easier after that I have my US on tuesday, been having some nausea and sooo tired but it is all good

LOL @ the 5 embies! Good to know that you are not going to be the next 'octomom'. haha Ok.. so if they were three day embies - you just add that to how many days past your transfer and that will give you your dpo for the betas.. not that it matters - you are totally pregnant.

Congrats on your due date! You are just a week past me. I hope we stay in touch and can be belly buds this winter. When are you getting your scan? I'm scheduled for July 23rd.

Hey there Sunshine and Stars! Welcome to the March thread. Your betas are great - you can check them out at www.betabase.info if you want to see how they compare to others'. We are all nervous, I think... my ultrasound is on July 23rd and I'm both terrified and excited. Just a few more days until Friday - yours will be on Monday - not far away at all. I'm not having issues sleeping - are you just nervous? When I've had problems sleeping I will focus on some mundane task, like how I plan on tiling the bathroom, step by step, visualizing the entire process, and before I know it, it's morning!
