I'm looking into fertility clinics/hospitals and wanted to know what options are out there.I've had 2 failed IVF cycles in Indiana.
The one's I am currently looking into are:
I have heard that CCRM is one of the best. I have also heard that they require $5000 worth of testing up front and still might not take you as a patient.
I have also done a consult with Dr. Silber. I liked him a lot though didn't go with him. The only reason I didn't was because he didn't take insurance and my insurance would not pay for my procedures if I used him. He was very upfront and had an idea of a whole different approach for us.
Don't know anything about the last one.
I know lots of people will say to look at the SART states to help you choose a Dr. i don't believe in the SART stats. So many clinics can weed out the older and harder to get PG patients just so their stats will look good.
Hope you find a clinic that fits you right. I would recommend setting up a consult with the 3 you have chosen and get your own opinion. I know your frustration. I am currently on my 4th RE. I hated moving from one clinic to another but i felt at the time it is what I had to do to get new ideas.
Good Luck!!

Thanks for replying.I know the data and stats are really overwhelming. You are right,I will be setting up and initial appointment with all 3.
Which clinic are you going to and how is your cycle going? Hope everything works out for you.
I am going to SIRM in Peoria. I had ER yesterday and only got 2 eggs both fertilized and will transfer them on Friday. This is my last cycle so will be ecstatic to be done in a couple of weeks. I will either be PG or be planning for lots of vacations and early retirement with no kids.
Oh and to answer your DOR question.
To test for diminished ovarian reserve most clinics use FSH and antral follicle counts. Some SIRM clinics also use AMH test and inhibin B tests(I think that is what it is), don't think a lot of clinics use those.

The one's I am currently looking into are:
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Thanks
I have never met any of the docs at Iowa. I know that the main doctor there is Dr. Van Voorhis. However, a poster here (?) said she went there and it was not the friendliest clinic. I like them because they have excellent success rates with few transferred embryos and they rarely resort to PGD.
CCRM is a fine clinic, no question about that.
A poster here (Lynniecat) tried to go there. You might check out her posts.

I just went through a cycle at CCRM and I wish I would have done all my cycles there. They are so helpful, honest, and wonderful. Yes, they are honest, and if you want things sugar coated CCRM is not the place for you. However, my results there have been amazing.
BAd experiences happen at all clinics, however, you have to go where you feel will work best for you.
I did a phone consult with Dr. Schoolcraft (which was free), he was upfront and honest with me, and from there we progressed into me cycling there.
I will find out in 9 days if I am pregnant or not.
Good luck with your decision.

Hi hrobinson,
Thanks for your reply.I also don't want thing sugar coated.I'm more concerned about the results! and the cost.Do they always do the one day testing even if I have all the tests done before?
I hope everything works out for you.Good Luck.
