Post by sunshine and stars »

Hi everyone-- Gosh, I got totally behind here...I just wanted to wish everyone well wherever they are on this journey. I had my second Beta today... it was 1449...and the nurse said that it was good news. The ultrasound will be in two weeks.
I am trying to relax-- but have had wicked, wicked, WICKED insomnia for the last 2 nights. (Like waking up to pee and not going back to sleep for 2 hours). So, my sleep is all out of whack, but I am trying to take it easy. I am wondering if anyone here has had good experience with acupunture. I am so nervous about the possibility of miscarrying again and my hubby and some others have suggested acupunture...to relax and have good baby thoughts. Anyone have any ideas about this?

annashope-- Congrats to you and hubby! I totally get the part about being "cautiously optimistic."

Annashope: Hello there!!! Congrats to you & your DH. I haven't done a POAS & am not planning on it. I can't believe we're going for our Beta on the same day. I'm very nervous to face that day. I'm so happy for you. I didn't know your history, I'm sorry to hear of your cancer but glad you had the right dr. I wish you all the best. We have to touch base in 2 days to see our outcome!!! Good Luck!!!

Franny- I hope you had great results from your ER today. I can't wait to hear how many eggies you got. Get plenty of rest!

Amanda- LOL  I'm glad you got your picture up and you guys are so cute together. Glad we got to see that

Sunshine- Wow that's a huge second beta! I've only had one acupuncture session so far but it was so relaxing for me that I almost fell asleep, which I hear is very common.

annashope- Congrats on the positive sticks! Cant wait to hear how your beta turns out.

Karin- I've lost count what day will Monday be for you? I cant wait for Monday so we can hear about your BFP. I POAS during my first cycle too.

Tiger- Well I was thinking about keeping the turtle but it turns out it was my next door neighbors. She has 4 young children that were very happy to see him. Apparently his name is "Bruce" the turtle. LOL!?!

hi girls!
man i am loopy today! i usually go under and come home and take a lil nap...well today i got home at noon, and i just woke up and its 445!! i'm still feeling silly and out of it so i have to keep this short.
well...as many of you know from my past that both times i made it to ER i got 1 egg each time. this time i doubled that!!!
i got 2!!!! :D
hahahaha now while i'm writing that out i am laughing because who else whould get excited for 2 freakin follies besides me?? hahaha seriously when my RE came out and told me we got 2 i started grinning and said how we doubled our record, and then i said i bet i'm the first person you've told they got 2 to start to smile after. i'm sure most people would be a crying mess, but not meeeee!!!
so i'm a little more relaxed then i usually am, but i'm sure by tomorrow morning i will be a nervous wreak waiting for the fert. report! i'm hoping our anniversary will bring us luck...2-fold!
ok i'm sorry for lack of personals
i love you all and am so lucky to have the support of such wonderful woman!
katie and claudia....i dont know what i would do without both of you!!
ester- i hope you have fun in fla. be safe on your drive!! xoxo
lou- i get poked in the ears most visits for acupuncture....the middle of my forehead and the top of my head too!

***much love always***

annashope: I am so excited for you. It gives me hope. I am just starting but totally understand the cautiously optimistic. This journey will not be over until I am in my home with a baby in my arms.

Sunshine: congrats on the second beta

Franny: yeah on the ER! Doubled your number

Ester: Enjoy Florida and thank you for keeping the list going

Theresa: Glad you made the kids happy by returning Bruce

Tiger: Thanks for asking. My docs have a different rating. see below

Sorry I am just getting to know evreyone and I will get better on the personals. Once I have ET, I am on 48 hours bedrest. Just me, the laptop, and a stack of magazines and books I have been meaning to read. You guys might feel a little bit stalked as a read up on each of your journeys. :D

AFM: 5 made it to 4 cell: 2 "excellent quality", 1 "excellent-good quality", 2 "good quality". 2 were at 2 cell stage in "good quality". The nurse said that they could possible catch up (I don't have any idea how often that happens ), She didn't mention the last 2 so I guess they didn't made it. I still don't know the ET day. She said they would like to wait to d5, but will look at them early in the morning . make a final decision, and call me and do it tomorrow or on Sunday. Driving me a little nuts not to know. DH took a week of vacation and we had big plans to catch up on some house stuff. I was so blaited last weekend and then wiped on ER day. Today is the first day I have been back to normal. We have recemtly repainted the entire upstairs except for 1 bedroom, so we are working on that today. It would be nice to have ET Sunday (yes better odds) but also so we could knock out more of our list. However, if ET is tomorrow DH will be home to be at my beck and call during my entire bedrest.

Franny

I understand after taking 600 of Menopur for 12 days we only got 4 and I was so excited. My doc told me he was dissapointed because I am 28 and he felt I could have done better. It seemed that everyone else was getting 15 or more but of our 4 only 3 were mature and only 2 fertilized but I know it only takes 1 :) and against all odds we got a BFP! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Hi everyone!

Just checking in as this thread is filling up so fast, it's almost hard to keep up with everyone. But I was able to get a picture up :)

Sunshine Congratulations on your BFP! And thank you so much for sharing your story about you and your husband being pastors. It really helped me understand more so that this unfortunately thing called infertility really does affect any and everybody. : (

Tammy Hope you're doing well. Have you started your injections? I'm starting to feel like a pro with mine, hehe.

AFM, nothing to report other than I have my baseline sonogram tomorrow morning. If all goes well, I'll begin my Gonal F injections Saturday and moving along from there. Thanks to everyone for your advice on me sharing this process with my pastor and others. I did share it with my pastor and I felt very relieved! He didn't say much other than what I hoped "We'll keep you guys in pray, and nothing is impossible with God" and I immediately felt better and a little silly for being so anxious about it. I still want to keep it pretty private though and don't feel the need to share with everyone. You ladies are a good support system : )

Take care all.

Franny - YEY!! Congrats on your 2. I knew after my ER it wasn't going to be good news. I asked the nurse how many they got and she said they were still counting. Since i only had 4 follicles I was like "well I hope they can count that high". Anyway the Dr called us in her office and then proceeded to tell us we only had 2. I figured she thought i would have a melt down or something. I figured we weren't going to get many and it is just par for the course and me doing IVF. Yey for 2. Though I was super glad when both fertilized. Good Luck on your Fert report. Sending tons of dividing vibes.

Franny - Congrats on getting two! I am praying you get to transfer both! Are you doing a 3 day or a 5 day?

Katie - I can't believe you are 25 weeks! Your post about your ER was the first story I read on here! Thanks for cheering us all on. How is your big dog?

Amanda - Good luck on Saturday!!!

AFM - My huge box of meds came today! I hope I don't need to reorder since my fridge is full! I have 8 Gonal F pens lol. I think I will need 7. I am going to Tampa in the morning and I am sure I will have a lot of catching up to do when I get back. I was crazy to book a 6 AM flight! It's almost 11:30 and I have to wake up at 3:45!!

Good luck to anyone I missed! I am exhausted and forgot everything that I wanted to write.
