Hi Tammy,

Thanks for asking. My dh has an appointment w/ fertility doc at the urologist office on Wednesday. We have yet to have an appointment w/ the fertility clinic. We were waiting until his appointment this Wed to make the next step. Not sure if that's wise or unwise but it's the way we're doing it. Dh really wanted to meet w/ that doctor and get his input on the next step.

This board is so very encouraging and I'm so glad I found it. I also love everyone's siggy lines. I'm going to update mine w/ better info. It's so nice to read everyone's status and history in their siggy lines. Makes it a tad bit easier to keep up who is who (though I'm still very bad at it)

So excited for you. Wonderful to have Zach to keep you busy and try and keep your mind off things. :-)

Nancy
Me 39 "normal"
Dh 49 problem with tubes so no sperm "gets out" (basically like a vasectomy)

currently in 1st IVF -- BCP until 10/3, currently on Lupron. Suppression check 10/8. Start stims 10/9.

Well we did our egg retriveval yesterday... It was so intense, I thought the doc was going to cancel. My ovaries did not want to co operate. The procedure took 40 min longer than expected and finally they got to the right ovary and retrived 10!! Although... we could not get to my left ovary because it was floating up by my belly button. There are 10 or so in the left that I apparently have to ovulate. I am to expect that to happen soon and was told to be prepared for the worst. Has anyone ever had this happen to them ??? We are hoping for a positive phone call tomorrow on how our little embryos are doing... They said the majority seemed to be fully matured :D I am blessed to have got 10. What a roller coster! All worth it in the end. :D :D :D

Sher; I can't imagine how difficult that would have been. Did you have pain relief? So sorry about the ten missed follies - will you have to put your retrieved eggs on ice so you can ovulate the missed eggs? So happy that you did get ten eggs and they are matured. Be prepared for the ovulation - I ovulated eight once and it was pretty painful.

Sonya: Well they told us that we can still go ahead with the transfer on Tuesday even tho they missed the others. I was kind of confused about that. :S We are scheduled in for Tuesday morning ! It was so painful... I am not vocal about pain... I was just closing my eyes tight and holding my breath. lol Apparently they thought I was sleeping and did so well with the pain. I also did not want to say I wanted more pain meds because I didn't want her to stop retrieving the ones she was getting. I think maybe the others are gone already because I was in soooo much discomfort lastnight. Did you get any the time you had to ovulate the 8 ???

I had 22 eggs retrieved in January and it was extremely painful. I think the meds wore off at about 12 eggs. I was moaning and the nurse was stroking my forehead. I also didn't want them to stop so I kept saying it wasn't that bad, but every time he put the needle through to do another, I was bracing myself.

Did I get any discomfort? Yes, it was pretty bad, I was swollen and very tender. I couldn't bend over. Mine was due to a lousy local doctor who didn't give me the proper instructions for the meds when we were doing our first iui.

Sher: Sorry your ER was so painful.

AFM: ET finished. The embryologist said that the were "gorgeous". We implanted 2. The rest were lagging behind, but he hopes 2 or 3 should be ready to freeze tomorrow. Vegging on the couch now. I set up my laptop on a table by the couch last night to try to keep me sane during 48 hours of bedrest.

Well....I did it...I POAS and it was a BFN. :( I'm hoping that it's too soon. I have been feeling like AF is coming the past couple of days. I am still hopeful and it will try it again tomorrow.

Tiger....How about you? Are you going to POAS too? Hope you get better results.

Have a great Sunday!

Karin~Its too soon hun...when I was preggars for my DS, my hpt was negative....imagine my surprise that day when they called with my BFP! Hand in there. it aint over yet!

Sher~ Ugh, so sorry hun about the ER. I know exactly how you feel. My last ER they retrieved 22 eggs and I could not walk for 5 days. I almost cancelled ET. Did they give you anything for the pain?

Franny~ Rest up...you are gonna need it for when you get the BFP!!! I have a good feeling!

AFM, not much. still stimming. SNS on tuesday....I had a minor freak though, Friday night my fridge was sweating so bad....everything was wet. I thought our fridge had died.....you can imagine how I freaked since I have about 5K fertility drugs in there right now! Yikes. Had to store them at my neighbors.....just in case. Well good thing was the fridge is fine ...my husband had not shut the door...duh...I so over reacted. Other than that, having a quiet weekend. Went to the ocean yesterday and surprised DS with a train table....DH and I got a night off and had a date night, I caved and had myself a big fat margarita even though I know I should not have but we never get nights like that so what the heck?! Anyways, hoping for more great news here.....here's some baby dust to you all!

Wow! I am finally back from camping…thank goodness. But, I am thankful that it made the weekend go by very quickly! Camping was an experience. We went with so many people that everyone had all of these different plans and while i love 2 of our friends that drove with us down there, they are the biggest slow pokes in the whole world. seriously.

Annashope- Welcome and I’m so glad that you joined! Awesome! You are pregnant! YEAH!!!! You will be just fine, keep thinking positive. A positive Beta is a positive beta.

Sunshine – Awesome 2nd beta!!!!so excited for you! I love acupuncture! I would totally recommend it. I’ve been going over the past year and love it! Let me know what you decide. Don’t you hate snoring? Oh I’m sorry, but July 26th is going to be here before you know it!

Amanda! YEAH about your picture! I’m so glad you figured it out. I know I couldn’t figure it out. What a cute couple you are ☺ AND AMAZING! 6! Awesome! That’s fabulous! Your ET is going to go great tomorrow.

Teresa – Oh I’m sad that you couldn’t keep the turtle, but glad that you found it’s home. Bruce seems like a perfect name for a turtle. I love when pets have mature men’s names…like george…If I had a dog, I would name it george.

Franny – I am so sorry that I’m just able to post now! How exciting!!! I just started to cry with your update. 2 perfect little embies! This is fantastic. And, just the perfect anniversary gift. I just could not be happier for you! BAHAHA! Love the eggplant and pineapple…just the perfect plan

Dlk – sounds like an excellent fert report! You’ll be pupo before you know it! Lots of congratulations and baby dust! Oh my gosh, what an undertaking you have gotten yourself into! Remember to relax and I’m glad your DH will be there to pamper and take care of you.

Justlikehannah – what a beautiful family you have!

Chris – how are you doing?

Chili – we all defy the odds everyday and we persevere. Please believe and it will happen. It took us a long time to pick our donor. We started with a sperm bank called cryobank. Didn’t find the right donor there, so we went to a sperm bank in California called California cryobank and found multiple donors there. We chose our donor based on looks and found one that had all of the characteristics of dh. Education and likes were also important to us, so the one we chose not only looked like DH but had similar interests, level of education and test scores. I LOVE FLOWERS! That must be such a rewarding job. What’s one of the sayings that you remember from cards?

Rebecca- I bet you’re glad to be out of the car! I live in MN. Where were you?

Lou – I am a nervous wreck. Really starting to feel the pressure of not knowing! Trying to keep up the positive spirits. Now that I am home, I know that I have 3 pregnancy tests and I am so anxious to do one! But nervous and scared all at the same time. I’m not ready for the results if they are bad. Sounds like you had a fabulous weekend with your family. Did you pick up anything cute while shopping?

Klinger – So exciting that you are starting! Glad I will be here to cheer you on!

CountryGirl- Welcome!

Annpage – wow! That is just so fantastic! YEAH! This is just the week of excellent news…maybe I should POAS tonight…oh shoot it’s next week now.

Tammy- This is going to be a great cycle for you. Don’t drive yourself crazy thinking about the what-if’s. You are going to be PUPO before you know it! Hang in there my friend.

Sher – Congrats on 10! Can’t wait to hear your fert report!

Karin – NO! Maybe you should still get a blood test? Like Miyaya said, these things can be wrong and you still have 2 more days til the beta. We are beta buddies and we have to sick together…I’m still rooting for you. Don’t give up yet!

AFM: I’m so in crazytown. I am going to POAS tomorrow morning and I’m sweating even thinking about it. Oh my…I am just so scared now.

Lots of baby dust!

Hi-

I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative. I called my RE and asked if I had to go in for my Beta, they said either way is fine. Karin, you have changed my mind. I can just wait for my period now and not waste $200 on a beta test. If I don't get my period, then I will go in, but I can tell I am getting my period. I'm really bummed out.
