Hi ladies! Hope everyone is well. DH and I have had such a fun day unpacking all the baby stuff and putting it away in the nursery, and now it looks like a proper little nursery. I keep going upstairs to just stand in the door and look at it! I'm currently working my way through washing all the new blankets/sheets/vests/sleepsuits etc, so that everything is all clean and ready to go for when Zorba puts in an appearance. Now we just need the car seat and buggy to get delivered (hoping that's going to be in the next couple of weeks) and then we're totally done and just need the baby to accessorise everything!

gi - yep, apparently they feed 8-12 times every single day, and you need to change their nappies just as often. Not sure where we're supposed to fit in sleep for more than 60 minutes at a time if feeding takes 30 minutes out of every 2-3 hour loop! Funny that you think Zorba is a boy, lots of people have been saying that since we discovered that he/she is measuring big. Time will tell...

babyluv - keeping fingers crossed for normal results to come back quickly from your GTT. p.s. I had the orange drink too, although I did a two hour test - flat Fanta is how it tasted pretty much. Not great but not horrible either.

Steph - well it's one dresser down at least, let's hope you don't have to wait as long for your Dad's wife to get the other one!

angela - hoping your headache has gone away now, that's no fun.

So, as promised, here is a picture taken today of the beachball (although I think I may need to upgrade to Swiss exercise ball soon!). As I said to claudia, it's far from the cute and little bump that she has! What's so scary is that I've still got another 7+ weeks of growing left, eek!!

Steph -Ummm, yeah, me too - I was thinking how fast this pregnancy seems to be going now - eeekk! I'm so not ready!
Just 11-14 wks left for me - wow now theres a scary thought. I think we'll all feel better when we get the nursuries together and waiting.
Yippee for 1 dresser, now at least you can get some baby clothes put away.I'm sorry that your nursery wont be all put together for your shower though I'm still looking at boxes on the floor and trying to picture what it will look like
Honey, dont be so hard on yourself, breast feeding twins is a HUGE deal, if each baby eats 8-12 times a day, and not at the same time either, when are supposed to get any sleep? You cant be so exhausted that you're bumping into walls. Isnt it the colostrum thats the most important anyway? I'm going to try to get through that I'm still sort of wavering on it, but if its too stressing, I have no problem with formula at all. I've even crossed a pump off my list. I have bought bottles already, just not formula since we should wait to see what agrees with them at the hospital. Refresh my memory, what day is your shower on again?

Hazel - Oh, honey you look so gorgeous!! And your top in that pic is fab! You must be sooo happy to have your nursery all done and just waiting for Zorba. I dont blame you for wanting to be in there every 5 minutes - I'll be doing the same when mine gets done too. I'm not laughing at you at all! I'm impressed that you're willing to see what labor is really like, I have heard of a TENS machine somewhere - but for me? unless I have a super labor (first labor yeah, right) I'm just hoping that they can get to me within that window of dilation that I can have pain meds. I think you're awesome and brave - much braver than I. I'm such a chicken on the subject of pain though. I'm with you on the thought of breast feeding, but I dont think they should bully, or try to guilt women into it. If you and the baby are both all stressed / frazzled over it then it doesnt do any good for either one of you. I'm so sure that when its my turn, they will try to push a "lactation consultant" on me to push me too- ugh. And we're supposed to attempt this while sore from birth, with stitches down there, totally sleep deprived and now add in breast pain too? sigh

Gi - Oh yes honey check your boxes just in case. I never have a problem with deliveries until now - of course. But check because some stores have a time frame to exchange or return. We were told we had 14 days from the delivery date. Aww, your pink gingham ribboned letters sound adorable. You've got to get your sister to post some pics when you're nursery is done! Dont let them try to push you into breast feeding if you've decided its not for you. When I was filling out my pre registration papers for the hospital, I checked "bottle/ formula feeding" so I'm pretty sure that I'll have to have that out with them when I check in, cuase I'll bet they'll try to change my mind. - sigh

Angela - ugh , I'm sorry to hear that your heasdaches havent let up yet. My bout was like 2 weeks long then stopped as suddenly as they started exactly like the OB said they would. Hopefully they can give you more info when you have your appt on monday and you get to see Gabriella again!! I'm at 8 wks since my last u/s and I've got to wait until 30-32 weeks - ugh sooo long to wait. I guess this is why people pay out of pocket for those 3-d or 4-d scans? Enjoy the rest of your weekend and get some rest

AFM - Yipppeeee! Chris finally felt her kicking last night! As soon as I sit down to eat, she goes crazy with moving & kicking, he was so thrilled he ended up letting his dinner get cold. The look on his face was priceless, he was awestruck. he evwen said he had no idea the kicks were that strong - hee hee
I told him his daughter just really gets excited about food - haaha - oh yes, she's ours all right. And girls? thanks for all the feedback on the name Savannah
I love it but was hoping it isnt too frou frou sounding, but feel fine after you all giving such positive comments. So I've spent yesterday calling about those darn letters! Chris had found them online and they were on clearance but I've never ordered from pottery barn in my life! In fact I would laef through their catalog and smirk at the crazy prices, So I've called them now 3 times! and have gotten 3 different answers, so I had Chris make call #4 and they claim that UPS will come pick up the one wrong letter on Monday - Are they really going to waste UPS's time with this? I could have had it in the post office two days ago already!
So they'll waste time & money to pick up a box worth 6 dollars? WTH?? All I know is their customer service blows, and they keep you on hold forever while an automated voice tells you how they take customer service to "excellence" really? It could be funny, but 4 calls total to clear this up? ummm. no. The furniture piece on the other hand has been so nice & efficient and apologetic - they say they'll ship the piece this week. Anyway girls have a great rest of the weekend - and you'll be happy to hear that I've resisted the urge to mow the damn lawn thats like 5" high already - it can wait to DH to do it
much love to you all - xoxoxo

Katie - YAY for Chris finally feeling her move! It's about time! lol That's so funny how he didn't realize how strong the kicks were. That's what happens when you don't feel baby move till 26 weeks! Oh what I would have given to see the look on his face when he felt her. Sorry you are having such an issue with Pottery Barn. Why waste so much time and money for one letter? Wouldn't it be cheaper to cut their losses on the wrong letter and just send you the correct one? Not that there is anything you could do with a P but still, all that effort over one letter? I think you should have talked to a manager just to tell them how stupid their people are. lol And if it was a manager you spoke to, I guess the company is doomed. I had a friend who use to work for them until they started to cut people because of the economy. If she still worked there I would so give you her number and ext so you didn't have to deal with stupid people. Shock collars, I am telling you... they all need signs and shock collars! At least the furniture is being delt with effeciantly. Soon this whole mess will be over and everything will look and be perfect. Then the only thing left to do is have Savannah complete it. :)

Hazel - What a nice big round belly. Yeah, that exercise ball is on it's way isn't it? lol You look so great though, you really do. My belly looks somewhere around the same size only my arse has grown too and I am not liking that at all. Good to hear you have everyhing settled for when Zorba arrives. Don't forget to stock up on diapers/nappies too! Those suckers are so expensive! The baby stores here recommend 6-8 boxes of each size. Seems like a lot doesn't it? I suppose they do go through one every 2-4 hours so I guess that's right. My gosh... that means I have to have double that! UGH! There is a warehouse store here called Sam's Club and they have an isle of damanged items. (Things that are in good condition but the box might be ripped or have a hole.) I plan on going there to get diapers. I hear they are really cheap.

Angela - Hope your weekend was nice and relaxing with Gabriella moving all over the place to help keep you calm. :) Can't wait till tomorrow to hear you say how perfect everything still is. lol I hope you haven't had anymore bouts with a headache. Oh, I wanted to mention too about your last little worry... I read that at around 17 weeks that you can create more fluid in the vagina. There were times I had this and still do from time to time. I have to check myself just to make sure I am not bleeding. Sure enough, it is fluid but not a whole lot. Just enough to worry me when I feel it. Each time I go to my doc I ask about fluid. Everything is always ok so I don't mention the leakage since from what I read, it is normal. So, maybe your fluid was just extra discharge? :)

AFM - Not much to say. I have taken it easy all weekend, especially since Andrew and Alex went to Six Flags yesterday. Of course I couldn't go since I can't ride on any of the rides and the heat alone would have killed me. They had a lot of fun from the sounds of it so that's good. Andrew brought home a monsterous stuffed banana. Everytime he goes to amusement parks he wins himself something and says it's for me. Right, like I need a 3 1/2 foot banana?? Men! Other than that, no play time is really starting to bug me. I have been getting testy lately and I am not sure if it is the hormones or lack of naked time. I must do what I must do, I just hope the previa goes away so I can play. I will get another look see on Thursday.

Hazel – you look absolutely beautiful! Your seven weeks will go by fast … I am so jealous; I can’t wait until I am at your point.

Katie – Sorry to hear about the lettering. I hope that they can work something out without stressing you out any further. I am happy to hear that they are going to replace the furniture soon.

I love it that Chris was able to feel the baby moving. I have been so anxious and keep feeling my stomach so my DH can feel Gabriella move also.

Stephanie – Thank you so much for the reassurance about the leaking of fluid. It does make me feel a little better that some of you have experienced it also.

Claudia – the difference between urine and amniotic fluid is that amniotic fluid is usually clear and odorless but can have some bloody show and urine is yellow or really light depending how hydrated you are and smells like ammonia. The hard part is when you can’t visually see it flowing and it is just leaking a small amount or a combination of both, so all you have is what is in your panties. So I will just have to keep a close eye on it from now on and make sure I drink plenty of fluids.

Yeah for feeling Flick from the outside!!

Gi – I know you are excited about your scan this Wednesday. I can’t wait to hear how it goes and how Kayla is moving around in there. I think I will decorate Gabriella’s nursery around the same time that you are thinking about decorating Kayla’s nursery … around 25 weeks.

Babyluv – I am so glad that your glucose test is over … I am sure that you passed. I think my high risk OB mentioned I would do a similar test later in my pregnancy.

AFM – I had a nice and relaxing weekend. DH and I went for a nice dinner last night. Now it’s Sunday and tomorrow it is back to the rat race of work and doctor’s appointments. I will update everyone after my u/s tomorrow. Have a great night!

Hey girlies,

Babyluv OMG you are so tiny and cute i cant believe you have twins in there, i just had to show jason and even he said you look smaller than me hmmm maybe i am reaching for the cookie jar too much ah feck it i may never be pregnant again and we have a gym in our house so i have no excuses afterwards

Steph playtime whats that ha ha, thankfully my pregnancy has gone the opposite way so doesnt bother me plus jason would be too terrified anyway. OMG i really have to learn about babies that many nappies i am still getting over hazel saying been fed 8 - 10 times a day there is gonna be so much fun in our house in Nov!!

Hazel your bump is gorgous though i really cant see how in the name you could make it full term the body is an amazing thing really isnt it.

Angela oh i cant wait to do the nursery and have a lot of things ready to go into it i keep telling myself only few more wks!! Hows little Gabriella doing?? I didnt feel Kayla kicking on the outside till 20 wks, when is your next u/s?

Natasha how is the m/s, hope you are feeling better.

Franca has it sunk in yet that you have a little miracle growing inside you, i hope all is well.

Claud hows Flick, has hubby felt him/her anymore, jason hasnt felt Kayla in ages he's convinced she knows its his hands on my tummy.

AFM thankfully nothing new to report waiting on Wed. scan and as long as she keeps kicking away i will feel more comfortable but then you worry about other things not been right ah well 2 more days. The nursery store rang today they have my changing mat and rocking chair, i said i will collect them after the scan (Please God) its sooooo exciting getting everything but also soooo nerve racking. I also have 5 full weddings to attend to in the next 2 months!! so have to go shopping at the weekend for some dresses though thankfully none of the weddings are related to each other and i will get away with just 2 dresses so now just to find something to fit

Gi - Yeah, I think that mother nature is pointing her finger at me and just laughing. Having an even higher sex drive while pregnant with a complication that makes it so we shouldn't have sex... that's just cruel! Andrew was a bit scared there for a little while, but now that I am farther along and he is sure babies are ok, he isn't really scared. Of course we are on pelvic rest now so we have to behave. Well, he can be played with, I just can't. So unfair! Torture I tell you! Anyway, about the nappies, I was surprised too. I know I haven't had a kid in 11 years but wow! I guess I just wasn't paying attention how much we were buying. I plan to stock up this time though. I want to be as prepared as possible. I am a lot different than I was when I was 20. lol

Babyluv - Holy cow are you itty bitty! I am such a blimp in comparison. lol You look great if you were carrying one, amazing for carrying two. I'm jealous. ;) Hope all is well and you had a great weekened!

Angela - I wanted to find the link I saw that tells you a little about the extra vaginal discharge. So here it is. http://www.pregnancyhut.com/17-weeks-pregnant/ It has a lot of info in it, but you will get to that part eventually. lol Like I said, this was for 17 weeks, but you can just go to the side and follow your pregnancy each week too. I read a few different site's versions of what is going on in my particular week. Some use humor, others give a lot of facts. Though they don't have a good site for twins each week, so I have to ignore those things like the size of my uterus and such. Anyway, I hope your appt went well today. I am sure it did! I am thinking about spoiling myself a little after reading about your mani/pedi. I could use it! :)

Hi everyone -

Steph - Hee Heee "shock collars" girl you are not kidding! its true shouldnt there be a minimum IQ to live? I read that the other day on the IVF side and have been waiting to use it. ha ha. Sam's club is great for the bulk items, isnt it? We have BJ's wholesale here - boy I wish they had a damaged items section, its good for some things, but have really been keeping the membership just for dog food, and now diapers and formula - I've been checking the prices all over and it totally makes it worth it on those items alone. With 108 diapers in the wholesale club- sized box was thinking maybe 2-3 boxes of newborn size? I dont want to be stuck with too many since they are only up to 10 lbs. Ha Ha what in the world will you do with a monster sized stuffed banana? Maybe the twins can sit/ play on it later? I'm the same way - its like "oh, thanks honey" while you're thinking WTH do I do with this? and let it take up space somewhere...
I'm so glad that Alex & Andrew had a great time at Six Flags, yeah you had no choice but to skip it, poor mama would have been miserable in that crazy heat and all that walking. We're having high 90's and super humid all week too, I can just imagine how damn hot hot hot TX is!! ugh - bring on the cooler weather!

Angela - I cant wait to hear all about Gabriella's u/s today! I'm at week number 8 of no u/s with out one scheduled til 32 weeks! ugh so no u/s for me til the end of August :? Glad to hear that you had a nice relaxing weekend - you need to get more rest mama  Sounds like your work weeks are pretty loooong

Babyluv - Aw honey you are so beautiful! I love your pic, you look like you are glowing big time! And where are you hiding 2 babies in there? You look gorgeous!

Gi - Go on and enjoy your cookie, mama! Haha I see that Kayla is playing hide & seek with her Daddy already too! Chris swears that Savannah has a sense of humor already, and just loves hide & seek. So listen to this for weird - the other day she was squirming around all day, and it just felt so strange, then I started to worry about a cord accident since it seemed like she was doing somersaults in there, so i said to Chris can you talk to your daughter about all this weird squirming? I wish she'd go back to kicking - so he has this whole conversation with my belly - and what do you know, she went back to kicking right away - OMG it was odd! But I'm happy that she doesnt seem as stubborn as I first thought! And since then theres been no more squirmy feeling. What a trip!

AFM - Well today I'm convinced that the good Dr gave us an Olympic athlete in training, She is kicking me all over and I think she was using my bladder for a trampoline last night - who needs sleep, right? i do give up on my ankles (or lack of) my ankles, insteps to the toes have looked swollen for days now, even though I'm drinking water like crazy,(96oz every day) have been making a point to elevate them in the afternoon, but nothing, no difference so far. What bugs me is how my left is noticebly more swollen then my right, always. Good thing I have to do my GTT tomorrow so I'll ask the OB what she makes of that. And I'll most likely whine to her that us crazy IVF women shouldnt have to go 14 weeks without an u/s!! And she'll most likely tell me the same as last time
"theres nothing wrong and dont you feel her every day"? Well, yes, but I love to see her on that screen! - xoxoxo

Katie so Savannah behaves herself when Chris talks to her thats so cute! I know what you mean about cord worries i do keep telling Kayla to stay away from it, its not a toy!!! 14 wks is a long time to go without an u/s isnt it esp. after what you have been thro. to get here and dont you just hate when they say sure she is moving yeah right you just want to know is everything else ok!! Oh just roll on November dont get me wrong i just love been pregnant but its been too hard of a road to get here and i will never take anything for granted again. Jason said something so stupid last night that i nearly peed on myself (yes kayla loves my bladder too!!), a girl we know is 27 wks pregnant and i was kidding say damn her she is always 4 wks ahead of me i am just so jealous jasons innocent reply was "well is there anyway you can catch up on her" and he was deadly serious and asked why i thought it was funny...he skits me cause i am the one with blonde hair

Gi - Ok so lets just assume that Jason was too tired to realize what he said - haha
I cant believe you've got 5 wedding to go to in 2 months! what? is there something in the water over in Ireland or something?
I try really hard t not let myself get freaked out by awful thoughts of cord accidents and such, but yeah, 14 weeks between u/s is really asking for ALOT of patience. isnt it? Hi to your Mam  - xoxo

Babyluv – you are so cute. I love your picture. I agree w/ Gi; I think I am larger also … lol. I can’t believe there are twins in there either. You look great!

Gi – I still haven’t felt her from the outside but she is moving and kicking anyway; my bladder and other organs are witness to it … lol. I had another u/s today. I think my insurance company is currently reviewing my case to drop me. No, I am kidding but I am sure my bill for this pregnancy is getting very high.

Stephanie – thank you so much for the website. The info did help a lot. I tell you, when we are pregnant our bodies go through so much!

Katie – I am sorry to hear about the swelling. You know they have ted hose or support hose that you can wear to help with the swelling and circulation. It also helps prevent varicose veins from appearing. You can use regular hose or go to any local maternity store to buy some.

AFM – Well, I had another u/s today and Gabriella is doing well today. She was moving so much that it was hard to get a good heartbeat on her. And, then when they went to confirm her sex, she turned to the side and refused to open her legs. So we will have to look again next week. I just hope this will be an uneventful week for Gabriella and I. I hope you ladies have a wonderful day.

lol, thanks ladies! I'm up 25 pounds, so it's really all about the angle :D The other ones my friend took showed a larger booty (NOT a new pregnancy symptom! HA!), but I liked that one the best.

I did think it was funny that when I asked DH for the computer once he was done, I opened it up and there was a CNN article on getting a flat belly. I asked if he was trying to tell me something???! HA! He was laughing because he wasn't even reading that article, he must have accidentally clicked on it instead of clicking out of the the website. I just thought it was kind of funny because I had just been reading all of the new posts on my phone about how big everyone is right now!

Angela - So glad you had a good u/s, despite baby girl being a little uncooperative! Praying for a very uneventful week (unless it's full of kicks!)

Gi - EAT THE COOKIE!! I can easily go through 8 double stuff Oreos before cutting myself off, but that's nothing new! I've been trying to buy more ice cream since it has calcium, but lately it's been Milano cookies. I agree, this is probably my only pregnancy and I am going to work it!

Stpeh - Yes, it's CRAZY how much theses babies eat and poop! As I was registering, I was actually having a hard time coming up with stuff since we still have some things left over from DD. I can imagine it would be a whole new ball game with an 11 year old! And my sex drive has been CRAZY with this pregnancy, so I feel you on hating the pelvic rest. I am hoping I won't be put back on it until at least 28 weeks.

Katie - I feel like my feet look a little more swollen in the afternoon as well...and I drink AT LEAST 2 gallons of water a day! I should hopefully find out the results of my GTT this week, and I'm hoping I passed!

AFM - The babies have been more active the past two days which has been nice. The kicks were coming and going, I think because of the anterior placentas, but lately they've been there. DH still hasn't felt them, and every time I am about to have him feel, they stop. Oh these kids! I have my next u/s on Thursday and am excited to see them again, as well as make sure my cervix looks good. I've been keeping track on my BH contractions and I don't think they should be causing any issues, but I definitely want to make sure.

Oh, and Scarlett's room is totally painted, looks awesome, we got the carpets cleaned today and now just waiting for her furniture to be delivered next week. So glad they are assembling it! We still have to order mattresses, bedding, etc, but I think it will look beautiful.

Ok, one funny Alex saying. After dinner yesterday DH was getting ready to take him out to play 9 holes of golf, and then he asked what Scarlett and I were going to do (she, of course, wanted to go to the mall, but that's out for me right now...have I mentioned she's not yet THREE?!). I said we'd do something fun to which he replied, "Oh, like go to Walgreens or something?" HAHAHAHA!!! Ah, my glamourous life. I love that kid (even if he does drive me nuts sometimes). - for you non US people, Walgreens is a drugstore/pharmacy!
Me - 30
DH - 38
DS - 5 (adopted, Russia), DD 3 (adopted, Kyrgyzstan)
IVF 1-2: BFN
IVF 3: BFP!!
Beta 1: 905 14dp3dt, Beta 2: 1709 16dp3dt
