Sunshine: That's wonderful!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! Did you have any symptoms during your 2ww? I have nothing & now I'm concerned. The way I feel today is concerned. I'm so worried to have my Blood test this Saturday. I know I have to remain calm & positive but sometimes it takes over. Thanks for listening.

Annpage: I haven't had many symptoms...my chest is a little sore, but the meds do that. Stomach isn't quesy like when I was pregnant before. Even though I am happy about the BFP, I know that I have a long way to go. My previous miscarriage is fresh in my mind still. Trying to think positive and to take it moment by moment. But Thursday's beta and the first ultrasound will help me to believe this. Day by day. These message boards are a life line. My DH is tired of me obsessing. (though he doesn't say it!)

Annpage: I just wanted to wish you the best for Saturday. Waiting can be so difficult...Thinking of you. I have a quote sitting here before my computer...it's a postcard that I framed...It's says: "Never give up. This may be your moment for a miracle."--Greg Anderson.

S&S: I agree there are alot of hurdles to get past before we can relax, if ever. I can understand your concerns. Try at best to be positive, I know easier said then done. But you will get through this. Thanks for you well wishes for Saturday!!

Hi girls, sorry Ive fallen off the radar this week sorry.. my life has been consumed by IVF sigh
Big Congrats S&S thats fab news I did once have a BFP so I know it does feel wonderful and good luck Ann for Saturday I hope you get the same wonderful news.

Well my week started well with 11 eggs (my normal eggie count for the past 3 cycles) so I maintained my regular stats  and 7 fertilised which was a giant miracle after disappointing fert results last cycle :(
However this afternoon only 2 embryos remain on Day 3 and are slow growing :(
My transfer has now been brought forward a day and despite my headspace being positive this cycle I am fearful my embryos may not make it thru the night resulting in zero transfer :(
My DH is devastated he did so well avoiding a testicular biopsy and we were celebrating that fact but it seems we always lose embryos in the lab as here in Australia at my clinic they like to grow the embryos for 5 days :)
I refuse to be sad yet but it may be "over red rover" for us...hopefully no early morning phonecall telling me not to come in :!:
So Im at a huge hurdle but its all out of my hands and up to some greater force I term "luck"
Wish me luck I hope my next post is a more happy one.

Thanks S&S,
Im doing ok a bittersweet transfer today, only one embryo on board but I cant complain it was better than none :( :)
DH and I are unsure why our embies just dont last the distance in the lab :?: :?:
Our chance of sucess with this little one are very slim but Im still positive and have a glimmer of hope as I did get a BFP from a nearly identical situation once before so you never know :)
Good luck with all tests girls I will check in again after my beta.

Hi Tas--
Thanks so much for checking in. I have no idea what time it is there-- but it's about 4 in the morning here. My husband is snoring soundly and I am having total insomnia again! That's good news about having an embie to transfer-- the social worker here told us that we need to celebrate whatever progress made! I pray that all goes well for you with your tests.

I have never been to Australia, but a good friend of mine went after her divorce and she had a wonderful time. She told me a beautiful story about being outside and seeing the stars there and said that is was healing and special. Just her description of her trip made my eyes glisten.

I will be thinking of you during these next days. Hope you get lots of *rest*!

Thanks S&S for your lovely words of support,
I agree with your social worker
sunshine and stars wrote:that we need to celebrate whatever progress made!
Had we faced a cancelled cycle not sure how I would have coped.. at least this way we have a tiny tiny chance and we did our very best !
Australia does have beautiful starry skies usually in summer where I live (as its winter at the moment here) :(
so your friend is right its really healing and special.

Im glad another IVF girl out there has a snoring husband also   these poor guys do it hard during IVF dont they..we often forget what a toll it is on them,so mine has slept soundly since Friday :)
Im not confident Im in with a winner this time but Im just hoping our Doctor says to give IVF-ICSI another try before we consider donor options...I would be keen to know how any of you girls OS who similar problems with your embryos not making it in the lab.. what do your doctors do for this ??
Any sugestions most welcome.
Off to rest now thanks again S&S !

Hi Annpage-- Wow! Congrats on the BFP! That's terrific news! Best wishes on the beta!

Hi Tas-- here I am, up again. I wish I could answer about the donor egg route. We are already using donor sperm. It was a tough decision for us, but we are glad to have made it because of my husband's age and his history with cancer. Because of my age and history of m/c, we also considered the donor egg route, and have had serious thoughts about it. We figured that it was a bit like biological "adoption"-- and since we went the donor route with sperm for health reasons, it was a bit easier to consider.

My understanding is that donor eggs give a woman over 40 a better chance of conceiving a healthy pregnancy, but of course it depends on the woman and the donor, etc.

It's hot here and about 2 am. I have insomnia again-- and have to preach tomorrow, so I hope that I don't fall asleep in the middle of my sermon. LOL. It's supposed to be in the 90's (Fahrenheit ) tomorrow.

Thanks so much for writing back, Tas, and best wishes to you!

Hi girls,
Wow Ann big congrats on your BFP.. this thread I started has been lucky for everyone but me.. :(
BBT not showing good signs of pregnancy/implantation this morning so Im kind of convinced I have no miracle sole surivior here but your luck may rub off on me :)
S&S its actually donor sperm we have been told is our next option not donor eggs.. but I am feeling like this cycle my eggs let the team down so who knows it may be donor everything :o :o
Anyway Im feeling very AF today cried my eyes out.. and snapping at DH.
Dearly hope thats a pregnancy snap but the thermometer never lies and unless temp picks up these next few days Im afraid Im out for the count :(
Enjoy your BFPs girls

Tas-- I've been out of commission for a few days. I really hope that your AF hasn't come. Maybe the emotions are from a positive pregnancy? Re. Donor sperm-- Initially, it was a hurdle for my DH and me, but once we had decided, we found that it was a good decision for us. We used California Cyrobank...but had done some research with two banks. We were pleased with our experience thus far.

You and hubby continue to be in my heart and prayers... I will try to check back soon.

Tasiri: I hope you're doing well & pregnant!!! Thinking of you!!

S&S: This morning I woke up had some bleeding, it was red. It scared me. I was glad I was going to my RE this morning. I went for my 3rd Beta this morning & 1st u/s, my beta is 6309 & they saw 2 gestational sacs - 1 w/ yoke & the other w/o. My last Beta my nurse mentioned we may have multiples so we were pleased. Now this morning seeing 1 yoke & not 2 kindof upsetted but we're thrilled we have 1 :) My next RE appt is 8/5 to do bloodwork & u/s she mentioned it may be too early & that the 2nd is a little slower or just maybe it didn't make it. We'll know more next week. I'm 5 weeks 2 days today.
